Don't get me wrong; they're cute together, but it's tiring seeing the same people over and over again in dramas.

I believed it will only be tiring same artist if they still play the same roles and story line..but if they play a different roles or characterization with a different story line.. I think it will not be tiring...

yesterday, 27th August there were 2 new fan entries about the filming of LoB...

1. an ariel fan who was out to go walking at night saw Joe filming a scene where he was just walking and in the description Joe walked like the former president's son-in-law and that he also walked like a hoodlum...and she also saw ariel whom she described as slim and does not have a baby face anymore...she said she was able to take 1 photo with ariel using her phone but it is very blurry cause it was night time...she said they finished around 9pm

2. a fan who went bicycling saw Joe for the very first time and in her shock she wasn't able to snap a photo...she was bicycling and she saw Joe and he was running away from her (he was filming) Joe then was wearing bright blue polo shirt with a pink necktie...she said he was very handsome!!! this happened around 7pm

Anyways, been a fan of Ariel and Joe after watching ISWAK and TKA and am especially excited about their new drama. Hope they do well. I'm from the US, btw.

cassey, you're right, I identified two of the cast for sure... Zhang Rui Jia and Zhang Yu Chen (both from Choustar, the same management company as Ariel). I'm guessing they'll have to play the scorned man/woman again, but I'm hoping their roles will be a bit different this time around, because I like both of them in the serious movies/dramas they've been in You can see them much more clearly in some of the above pics.

Haha, looks like Ariel's agency likes to play the "tagalong" game, too. I like 張睿家 Bryant Chang RuiJia, but I'm not really a fan of 張毓晨 Angus Chang YuChen... didn't really like her acting in Summer x Summer. But I'll just remain optimistic and hope that she's improved

I recognize comedians 郭子乾 Guo ZiQian and 馬國畢 Ma GuoBi. I dislike Guo ZiQian, but I know that he's a veteran actor, so he'll probably be good. Ma GuoBi is funny in real life, but I've only seen him in a really small role in Wish To See You Again... hope he delivers when there's a script, too

I'm REALLY happy about 林美秀 Lin MeiXiu being in this (although I ALMOST didn't recognize her in that wig/new hair of hers... kudos to you, sauli60, for being able to do so). I'm totally a fan after the past couple of months (in which I've watched three of her dramas)... she's really versatile and funny without being toooo over-the-top... even if her character is a little outrageous. I wonder if she'll play Ariel's mother!

The other woman... I'm PRETTY sure her name is 傅天穎 Rachel Fu TianYing. She's a (former?) model who semi-recently got married. She's a bit older, so maybe she'll play a mentor to Ariel or Joe... or maybe one of their siblings?

Oh my gosh, yay, more LOB actors/actresses ID-ed! I’m so excited about Lin MeiXiu being in LOB, too. sauli, great eyes – I thought she looked familiar, but I couldn’t recognize her at all with the wig!

Tammiest, yeah, Choustar always tries to get some of their other actors into a drama when one is a main character. I said I like Rui Jia and Yu Chen in their serious roles, because they’re a lot better when they do serious roles. I really didn’t like Yu Chen’s role in Summer x Summer, but I thought her acting was good in True Love 18 and Bump Off Lover (though she played a semi-antagonist in both).

Regarding Liu MeiXiu, I just found out she won a Golden Horse Award in the past, and I'm sure she deserved it from what I've seen of her acting It’ll be cool if she does play Ariel’s mother, because (I don’t know if anyone remembers this) she worked with Ariel awhile ago when she played Ariel’s mom in True Love 18 (Ariel’s first drama in 2002).

I’m not familiar with the other actors/actresses, but I’m looking forward to finding out who has which roles and seeing some previews of LOB a month or two from now!

I wonder if they’ll wait until later in the drama to shoot the poster. Also, I know it’s early, but I’m kind of excited about the OST for LOB, too (I’m always excited about music, lol).

Also, I found this blurb on linichen about who the director, producer and main cast are (Ariel and Joe), and it also includes brief descriptions of some of the other key characters (though not who plays them yet). Joe’s character is supposed to be 22, and Ariel’s character is supposed to be 20.

Nobody knows when it'll air for sure yet, as filming has just begun. But this director is known to film very quickly/intensely, in like a month or two.. so we're HOPING that the first episode will be able to air at the end of 2008 or probably early 2009. ^.^

Ahan exactly... we cant know the airing date so early... besides, there are 2 or 3 other dramas to air before this one (including Hot Shot)...
However, i think the filming will last more than one month or two... Considering what Joe wrote in his last message (after the presscon on monday), it seems it will be 3 months (september/october/november)... So it will air in 2009 most probably...

Frank (Joe) hates his chinese name (Tsai Jin Lai) because it is very old fashion... so he thinks of an english name for himself... because normally those wealthy men will have english name... he likes the easy way out, wants to get rich fast... he maybe unrealistic but deep down he has a good heart and is very loyal... when there is something bad happening, he can become very manly and handle the situation.
Concerning Shan Mei (Ariel), she has a very good heart, she is very filial to her family... she won't hold grudges... even it is a trap she will still take it... and she has to share a house with Frank and later falls in love with him.
Frank has a friend who is very honest and poor... And there's a girl that Frank likes and later they become great friends... she was once a dancer, she injured her legs and can't dance anymore...
Shan Mei has a girl friend who likes wealthy guy but ended up falling foe Frank's honest and poor friend...
The wealthy guy is orphan and loves photography.... but then he has to take over his father's company so he quits his dream...

That’s cool what Ariel said about “fate,” and it’s true (especially in the TW idol drama circle), that somehow the same people tend to be drawn together, even without intending it. Obviously Ariel and Joe – and also Rui Jia, Zhang Yu Chen, and Lin Mei Xu are brought together yet again!

L.Kwan, thanks for that great link to tons of LOB pix, and thanks to YiYi, ayumi and Kassy for posting them! The house looks quite beautiful/charming (wonder how the two poor people afforded it? just to rent, I guess isn’t so bad…)

Joe and his friend (in character) both look shuai… lol, I wonder if the other guy is getting eye drops for dry eyes or if it’s because he has a crying scene at that part. I wonder what the Ariel/Joe scene is, too – looks like it could be a sad scene? Is Shan Mei crying? Is Frank drunk? Guess we’ll have to wait and see…

Camj59, I thought it was pretty cool that Ariel and Joe already were giving off a different vibe/chemistry at the press con. Not that I’m surprised that two experienced actors were able to get into their roles so fast, but it’s still impressive that they’re already giving off such a different feel for LOB. It’s exciting to see all of the pics and clips coming out and wondering what the storyline and character interactions will really be like when the drama airs. I can’t wait until we get to see preview clips! (though that’s still a few months down the line, I guess).

Thanks for the news, maytan! Hrm, I expected Dir. Lin to work fast, but how in the world can they film for 3 months and air LOB immediately after? It doesn’t seem possible…. Aren’t there other shows slotted before LOB anyway? Maybe she just meant filming would end in November, so the previews will start airing then…?? I guess Dir. Lin might be editing as he goes. November seems awfully fast for LOB to air… that would be like zero time to edit! Does anyone know how long after filming ended Dir. Lin’s previous dramas took to air? (how much time he took to edit in the past?) Well, I guess it’s a good thing we’ll get to see it sooner, though November doesn’t even seem humanly possible.

I didn’t know Zhang Yu Chen/Jia Hui had a blog, but I like what she says about how LOB is bringing together a whole bunch of different stars, some of who have collaborated together before (Yu Chen herself collaborated with Ariel and Mei Xiu in True Love 18 and with Joe in Summer x Summer), and some who are extremely experienced, while some are just starting their first drama. Like she said, though, the dynamics among the characters are very different this time around. (Her character acted as Ariel’s teacher in True Love 18 and as Joe’s sister in Summer x Summer). Jiayou to the LOB cast and crew! Though Dir. Lin is known for being grouchy sometimes, I kinda hope that he isn’t too controlling; I want to see some of the actors’ creative interpretations for their roles. (And I want the cast/crew to be happy!)

i am quite certain that she meant it will start airing in november...she said it twice as replies to the replies for her blog entry regarding LoB PCon...the first question asked was when will it air and she said November..and the 2nd time, well the reply was hidden but her reply was once again...it will come on November...

as for director Lin...if i remember correctly RP aired almost immediately after they finished filming (i think a month or so after filming ended) but from what i recall there were reports that LoB filming will transfer to China sometime in November...if that's the case that would imply that they will start airing while still filming?

i'm a bit worried...there are so many things to consider for this...i was already so pissed off with the way TKA was treated before..and it looks like the same thing will be done to LoB!!! what kind of promotions will they have? will they even have a proper OST? goodness! back then Director Winnie had such great plans for TKA (i read his chat transcripts and i visit his blog) but because of the time constraints given to him he wasn't able to execute a lot of them...i hope they are not trying to pull another stunt like that for LoB just because it's an arjoe pairing!!! just because these 2 are so popular together in and out of taiwan doesn't mean they should just rely on that...

either way, i will still support LoB no matter what...just like how i supported TKA from the very beginning...i am going to go broke again from buying whatever LoB goodies i can get my hands on...

maytan, ohhh, I never even thought about that... that they could start airing while still filming. I'm so used to GTV's usual "finish filming, then air" deal. Sometimes when they film while airing, they tend to alter the ending to what they think people want, which they sometimes get not quite right. Yeah, I saw Dir. Winnie's blog entries and discussion about TKA and how he didn't have enough time to do what he envisioned (but he still made it beautiful). Er, I think Dir. Lin will be getting filming done pretty quickly as he always does. I, too, hope they don't just rely on Ariel and Joe's popularity and take shortcuts with the filming/OST/promotions (though I think Dir. Lin is just very quick with his filming... he and Dir. Winnie's styles in filming are quite different). TKA promoted a lot, so I hope LOB will follow suit, but I'm wondering about the OST. I hope they won't pick trite, old songs just to throw together an OST. Hope Ariel can sing again... and the singer guy (er, I always forget his name, but he's a newbie to acting and plays Joe's friend in LOB). Maybe they could do a fun, playful duet for Joe and Ariel... like they did at the end of the movie "Down with Love" (Renee Zellweger & Ewan McGregor). Hope for the best and support LOB! When I get a break this week, I'll try to make some LOB artwork to share... we have plenty of good pics to work with already!

I fully agree with Maytan... and no matter how impatient i'm to watch LoB, i dont want a rushed project, i want a quality drama... so i'd rather wait until next year to watch it...
Joe and Ariel are taking a big risk pairing together again so early after TKA, they're putting a lot of effort into it, they're both anxious about it, about the audience response... The production took 4 years to prepare this project, the script, everything... and now GTV would rush the filming and editing to air the drama in november? I really hope they wont do that... there cant be any compromises when it comes to the quality... I trust fully Joe and Ariel, i know they'll give us the best... but only the acting part depends on them... For the rest, i'm really worried... How can the whole project be ready in november? how can they promote while they're filming? and what about the OST?
Another thing too... i'm really shocked that Angus Zhang gave such an info so carelessly on her blog... GTV didnt say anything yet about the airing date... Joe and Ariel didnt talk about it either... but Angus did... now, if it's true, i doubt she should have said it... news spread fast in the net world...
