Dayo Wong and Charmaine Sheh set for sparks in new TVB series

Following [To Catch the Uncatchable] and [Men Don't Cry], Dayo Wong will be returning in late September to film new TVB series produced by Cheung Kin Man. This time, Dayo will become a genius entrepreneur who saves a lot of businesses. He will be paired up with Charmaine Sheh, starting from bickering enemies to lovers. As Dayo once complained that he doesn't get paired with fadans often, TVB arranged for him to work with 5 fadans.

Currently filming TVB series [Turbulence of East Meets West] in Guangxi, Charmaine expressed delight to be working with Dayo and does not mind portraying an ugly role if necessary. This is because she has never really filmed a comedy series since entering entertainment business. She is excited to have her wish fulfilled.

Actually in 1999 Charmaine had a chance to work with Dayo. At that time Dayo is filming [Justice Sung 2] with Cheung Tat Ming and Charmaine was supposed to have a role in that series. However a week after filming begins she was transferred to film [Detective Investigation Files 4]. Her original role in [Justice 2] was replaced by another person. Therefore Charmaine expressed regret of not having fate with Dayo in the past. After completing [Turbulence], Charmaine will be taking a long break to accompany her mother is USA, taking the opportunity to recharge herself and prepares to create sparks with Dayo.

According to sources, Dayo's role in the new series is very intelligent and has an attitude. He is a genius entrepreneur but only concerned about making money. Due to a mistake, he learned a lesson and stop emphasising on money and decided to become a ‘business doctor’. However, his methods are very weird and set up deathtraps before turning the situation around. People have mixed reactions toward him.

As for Charmaine, in the beginning she mistook him for a bad person therefore she constantly ruins his plans and goes against him. From fighting they fell in love. The series plotline will be in chapter format (different story every few episodes) and there will be a lot of attractive actresses guest starring the series such as Bernice Liu and Angela Tong. All of them likes him therefore Dayo definitely will have a good time filming the series.

I can't wait to watch this series. I'ave always wanted to watch a series with Charmaine and Bernice in it. Now I finally get the chance. I wonder what Bernice's character is going to be about (but she's only guest starring)??? I also wonder what kind of job does Charmaine has, because it mentioned that she's always ruining Dayo's plans. I just can't wait to see Charmaine and Bernice in this series. I'm really looking forward to seeing this series.

TVB popular leading actress Charmaine Sheh appeared at 《喝彩！北京奥运》[Bravo, Beijing Olympics] live airing yesterday. She smiled and said that she has just finished taking the longest holiday break since entering entertainment business: "I rested for a month and visited my mum in Hawaii. I still pay attention to the Olympic games, especially gymnastic event. This is because I have practiced on the balance beam before. My biggest dream back then is to do a somersault on the balance beam, but it is really difficult. Therefore I really admired those medallists."

When asked which athlete she would like to meet in person, Charmaine said Yao Ming. "Because he is really tall. I will take off my heels to take picture next to him, I’ll look like a midget."

Returning from holiday, the topic will naturally be diverted to her upcoming work schedule. Charmaine says that can still rest for a period of time: "I'll be filming a new series in October with Dayo Wong. It's a light-hearted comedy. The tentative title for the series is called [Business Doctor]. Dayo is a 'doctor' whose expertise is in rescuing companies that are going bankrupt. I will be his lover in the series." She also expressed that this her second collaboration with Dayo. "Unfortunately the first time we worked together for a short period of time, which was [Justice Sung 2]. We only worked together for a week, therefore I really anticipate the upcoming series. Plus, we will be filming comedy series, therefore I'm really looking forward to my first comedy series.”

Though she admits she is not as funny as Dayo, Charmaine feels that she won't lose out to him either. "He can't go freely on his own, there is a script to follow. Therefore I have confidence that our collaboration will be hilarious."

Since there were plenty of celebrities' marriages this year, such as Tony Leung and Carina Lau' s wedding, Charmaine was questioned about her future plans. As this, Charmaine smiled: "It's not that I don't want to. I haven't found my other half yet."

She frankly expressed that she doesn’t have special requirement for her other half, "As long as we could communicate well, being happy together, dotes on me, preferably older than me. I don't mind whether he is from inside or outside the entertainment circle." Charmaine also said that if she have found a companion, she would not object letting the public know. "I won't purposely deny nor I mind other people finding out. However this will depend on the opinion of my other half."

TVB still labeled it as a comedy. They didn't label it as a drama or etc. Many series start out as comedies and turn dramatic near the ending. For ex: Happily Ever After. However, they are still considered comedies overall.

After being linked to Ron Ng earlier, Charmaine Sheh was accused being the 3rd party in Kevin Cheng and Niki Chow's 5 years relationship. Coincidentally, Niki who was troubled by the rumors appeared 'depressed' in front of others. The leading actress Charmaine's mood is quite good today and she formally responds to the rumors. She said that she would not mind taking pictures with Kevin when they meet. This is a big contrast with Niki and it seems like the reason behind the rumors is slowly being revealed.

Charmaine attended the costume fitting for new TVB series [Enterprise Doctor] yesterday. She looked refreshed and indicates that she is in good mood as she has just spent 3 months of holiday. Her mum also returned from Hawaii to accompany her and in addition of that, she got another kitten into her household. She is not affected by the rumors. "I'm concentrating in my career now. I need to concentrate and prepare myself working the witty Dayo Wong."

Being labelled as [Flirty Sheh] due to the rumours, Charmaine's reaction is quite big: "What? Just call me Ah Sheh please!" Asked if Kevin has called her to vent his frustrations, she replied: "How come he's complaining to me? I don't know about the story development, I've only read the first news report (in order to respond), the rest I didn't follow up." She revealed that she will be attending an event with Kevin and Ron today. She is not worried of any embarrassment when they meet and she won't decline taking pictures together. "It's important for artistes to take pictures, you will have to worry of no one takes pictures of you."

Recently there was a report saying that Charmaine and Kevin was seen kissing passionately at a bar. Charmaine replied: "That was made up (fake)." When asked if she have many people following her, she laughs and says: "I have many crazy friends instead, like Michael Tse who love to joke." Regarding the report of her buying neck scarf for Kevin, she explained: "I'm so mad! I don't know what happened! I didn't buy anything, I just walked past that shop. The funniest thing is that they said my sister drove my car, that is actually my mum."

Charmaine said that her mum is already used to these rumors therefore she never questioned Charmaine about it. "I'm enjoying my life as single at the moment. However my younger brother is ahead of me by getting married next year, making me feel a bit lament." There were rumors that Timmy Hung has proposed to Janet Chow during their holiday to Maldives. Charmaine felt that it was very romantic and joked that she will work harder. Does she want to change (get married)? "It's not something that you could just wish, it's a two way street." As for the news of her another rumored boyfriend Ron Ng chasing after the voluptuous MHK 2006 dropout Wong Ying, Charmaine frankly said that she has not seen the news, but she is still very supportive: "The area he stayed in has many buildings, you cannot simply accuse him. Plus there is no picture evidence. If he personally admits having a girlfriend, I will congratulate him."

Dayo is also a victim of the milk scandal

Dayo will be paired up with Charmaine in the new series and he was asked if he is afraid of attracting rumours. "I did not follow up closely, I do not know about their development. Outsiders should not gossips." Mentioning the recent stock crisis, Dayo admit that he also have some investment and will endure the trying time with fellow HK citizens.

Regarding the milk scandal, Dayo self admit that he is also a victim. "Look at me, of course I am affected because I'm so thin! I love drinking milk, turns out that the milk I drink is actually melamine flavour."

I'm already anticipating Dayo's performance in this series. Interesting choice of cast. I'm not too thrilled with Charmaine Sheh in this, mainly because I find her acting quite bland in modern series. It is another story if she's in ancient/period series.

I think you got the wrong Theresa. The Theresa in here is Theresa Lee who was in Return of Condor Heroes 95 as Kwok Seung (I think that's her only series with TVB) and she left and she stars in many other dramas recently: The Legendary Siblings with Jimmy Lin, Legendary Fighter - Yang's Heroine.

I'm excited to see this drama! Charmaine working with Dayo must have given her a fright but I kno she will do fine hopefully more news about this drama to come soon

Dayo Wong gets a shock from Belinda Hamnett

Yesterday evening Dayo Wong, Charmaine Sheh and Benz Hui were in Causeway Bay shooting outdoor scenes for the new TVB series (Enterprise Doctor). Suddenly a girl wearing a woolen hat approached Dayo Wong from behind and tapped him
on the shoulder, which made him jump. But when he looked closer he realised it was Belinda Hamnett who had returned to ATV.



Dayo Wong had a false alarm and said "It's not easy to not be shocked when Belinda approached me like that. Although after filming the series ( To Catch The Uncatchable) the cast occasionally meet up. But I never thought I would bump into her here".

It appeared that Dayo Wong and Charmaine Sheh had no communication, would it be because he was afraid of rumours? He said "Today we don't have any scenes together, we usually joke alot and also I have no control over rumours. (Have you got any intimate scenes with her?) "We haven't so far, but the script has not been fully prepared, perhaps its a secret".

TVB new series (Enterprise Doctor) held a blessing ceremony yesterday. Dayo Wong, Charmaine Sheh, Theresa Lee and Michael Tse were all present. Charmaine said working with Dayo was hilarious. In the series both of them will be bickering with each other. Her role is quite firey and Dayo is a rascal. At the scene Dayo and Charmaine kept a distance and it seemed they were afraid of having rumours. Charmaine said "What? Ask him!". (Will he bounce away once he's finished filming?) "No". The reporter asked Charmaine about avoiding Kevin Cheng while filming the Sales Presentation clip. She said "Why would I? We are working together, how can I? I didn't". Would you not avoid him? She laughed "How can I avoid him? We are working together in the same studio". The series (Third Sister Liu) will start filming next February. The reporter then indicated that by then people will be bored with their rumours. Charmaine laughed and said she hopes too.

Theresa Lee (Miss Hong Kong 2nd runner up 1994) returned to film for TVB. She said she had been filming for over 10 years and is used to it so there is no pressure. But she misses filming travel documentaries the most. The reporter asked if she had made a request to TVB? She laughed "I am very bad, there are some places I don't want to go to". This series will be filming until the middle of December. Therefore, TVB had allowed her to return to Canada for Christmas. Her son is also currently in Hong Kong for 1 month. She will take him to the studio sometimes. She said there was one time when they were going to film outdoor scenes and in the van Charmaine was changing clothing. Her son pulled the curtains and Charmaine yelled in shock. This made her son very scared and he started to cry. Theresa felt more pressure because if her son wasn't in Hong Kong she could go shopping etc. Now she would miss him and want to care for him right after she finished filming.

Charmaine's role is also a debt collector, she bring 4 followers when she collects money. Hahaha she is really feisty, there's one scene where she clobber Dayo with her high heel shoe.

Meanwhile, Joel Chan will be Charmaine's boyfriend (or rather ex-boyfriend) in the series. He is a environmentalist and inventor who always hang out at recycling centre and dumps.
