Ariel Lin took over the role of a poor girl in the village

Noble posture and a high price tag, Da S has finally “Ti Dao Tei Ban” ! ( meet obstacle)
The GTV idol drama Love or Bread starring Da S and Joe Cheng replaced the female leading role that cast Da S by Ariel Lin. Da S cited the reason of schedule’s conflict with her movie’s project. Another speculation is that the character of the role she would play in the Love or Bread were way to “Villagers” that needed to only wear blue and white shoes and gain weight. Da S is not allowed herself to downgrade from the proclaimed princess to the character in the drama.

GTV drama will begin shooting in August. It has costumes set up and made the posters. Da S sudden dropout gave GTV headache. It was learned that the reasons for the dropout are the character of “Zhen Shan Mei”, a poor girl who only wears a pair of 20 bucks blue-white shoes and would knee down to count money on the ground. Upon hearing director Lin ask her to gain weight, Da S painfully consider to give up the role.

Ariel Lin is not afraid of being compared
Da S’s concern on the other hand is a challenge for Ariel Lin. GTV said that Ariel Lin was the first choice to be considered for the drama and later was replaced by Da S.

It seems that everything has retuned to how it was started. Afraid of being compared with Da S? Ariel Lin said “Every person will portray the character it his/her own way.” Da S’s agent replied “ Only because of conflict with her schedule. Shan Cai is also a character of “weed“. Da S will not pick on the role la”

That is really good news that Ariel will film a drama soon but I wonder if this will affect the casting for Extravagant Challenge. Having Arjoe star in so many dramas together might be overkill.

Wow, this is so sudden. I was used to the idea of Barbie doing Love or Bread with Joe and Ariel doing Extravagant Challenge in October with Jerry and Joe, but I guess it's Love or Bread now, and Extravagant Challenge will be pushed back. Eh, I don't know how I feel. I guess I'm worried about Ariel *gaining* weight since she just lost a lot of weight for LOCH and has been eating "green" and healthy lately. I know it's for a role, and she's a professional, but it seems like it'll be really hard on her body, especially if she has to gain the weight that quickly. (I wonder how much weight she'll have to gain... can they just have her wear a fat suit?) I kind of wonder if Ariel took on the role partially to help out so they wouldn't have to cancel/delay the drama (and to help out best friend Joe, too).

Also, it seems like TKA just ended, and Ariel and Joe are pairing up again. Lol, 10 years turned into 10 days! I guess it's good in that they can prove that they can play different characters and bring a different feel and fresh chemistry to these characters. Hope the script is excellent! Ariel and Joe are both talented actors with great "tacit understanding" already, so I'm sure they can make this good.

First: YAY!! for another Joe & Ariel collab. That's awesome. They are a perfect love team, I'm surpised neither one hasn't fallen in love with one another yet. Who knows maybe after this one they might, since this is there third drama together & you know that saying "third times the charm"...lol


Second: I think Da S might have made a bad choice because skinny actresses take up roles that require them to gain weight & some don't want to but they do it anyways & next thing you know they hit it big. The public becomes impressed with the fact that an actress whom is gorgeous did something dramatic to her body just to play a role & does an amazing job at it they become well known. So Da S giving up this role because she doesn't want to gain weight might just come back & bite her in the butt.

anyway,what the point if ariel accept this role coz she doesn't want to this series being delay or cancel and to help her best friend joe? ...i don't think that is the reason behind...i would think that ariel find the role quite interesting so that why she accept it...every thing depend on her by the way...

other than that, i concern with ariel weight too ...hope everything will going find...

after all, i will continue support this series coz of joe and ariel...

that is the difference between ariel and DaS acting talents, ariel is more professional and will give up anything just to play her role right while DaS cares about looking pretty (nothing wrong there since i know she has a lot of modeling and commercial contracts so she wants to look good)

I definitely agree with you. Ariel is really professional in her work and she will take up different roles just to challenge herself and I think this is what every actress/actor out there should do - try different things. From this article I did not agree with Da S. I guess she cares more about her weight but then she does do alot of commercial modeling. But still I have to applause Ariel for taking up challenging roles. Looking forward to this show. yay for the pairing again i swear they must kiss like a kajillion times already haha.

eh! yes, we don't know for sure what Da S's real reason is for not continuing on with the project...

it is the way the news was written that is why people suddenly reacted against Da S. in most parts of the article...Da S was made to look like she aint professional, choosy, shallow, and all that..but the latter part says that IT IS CONFLICT WITH SKED!

Hey guys,,i'm a huge arjoe fan,and i'm over the moon right now after hearing this news..i can't wait for this drama,,i never expect them to reunite this fast,,but very very excited..!!

honestly,i'm not much of a Da S fan,but i don't think she's unprofessional..i mean in Corner with Love she even learned and explored her character's horoscope,just to find what her character is like..i mean if that's not professional then i don't know what is..i really think that's just the press that is stretching the news too far..but i also love Ariel for taking the challenge for this role,,i mean this is a great pressure especially when fans like us expect their collaboration to be at least or even greater than in ISWAK and TKA..

Anyways,,all arjoe fans,,let us all rejoice and wait for their collaboration soon!!i wish i can fast forward time so i can see them both faster^^
