Fated To Love You vs. Hot Shot, what you think? Options

So the title says it all.. I'm jus wondering if u think that Hot shot would beat the ratings of FTLY. Or do you think it would be a hit jus like Fated to love you??? I jus think that its copying wht Fated to Love you is doing because of the naked swim and stuff with the ratings.. becuhs it has lyke show, wu zun and jerry in it which has lots of fans so prob it might b a hit... n stuff buh obe of my friends told me tht the story line in not really good!!!


So what do you ppl think about this???

i think, for the 1st episode, Hot Shot would definately win FTLY. cos ppl would want to see how nice HS is. furthermore, with Jerry, Show & Wu Zun, who wouldnt want to watch their mixture?

but if its real that the story line isnt great, then FTLY would pull up again for the next episode.

but i doubt FTLY's ratings would fall below 1st.

I don't think Hot Shot would be able to beat FTLY while they overlap because it's almost towards the end so more people would want to see what happens.

I'm still not very clear about the plot of Hot Shot but it looks really interesting from the preview and lots of people probably will watch it for the cast

hot shot is airing next Sunday on the 27th. i think it will affect FTLY but not in a big way maybe since so many people are watching it already

i personally think ftly's will still top the charts, but the ratings might dip a little since most people know how the show's gonna end and stuff, but not many know what hot shot is about, with so little promos.

I guess Hot Shot's rating will be around 3 since it has such a strong cast.

Well, I'm pretty sure FTLY's ratings will still be first, because of the many anticipated scenes next week. Like someone mentioned before, the ratings may not be as high (since HS has a strong cast) but because viewers are already attracted to FTLY's plot+characters, there's just a really really slim chance that HS will beat FTLY. (on the first episode)

I'll definitely be watching both series, but FTLY will be first priority for me. I also highly doubt that HS will beat FTLY's number one spot. The main reason is because FTLY attracts a wide range of viewers while HS (from what little is shown of it) seems to be an idol drama based on basketball. However, I'm sure that HS will bring a solid 2-3 for their pilot episode.

ok anyone think tat taiwan is a bit slow on FTLU plot? its so over redundance...got korean have done this plot more than like a million times n so did singapore(well the girl didnt get pregnat) but still its so boring to watch the same old plot over and over and over again. also i didnt like the girl from the first 10 mins of 1st ep. so i stop watching her acting annoys me....(its worse than rainie yang! in DBY)

FTLY was good at the start, but after the miscarriage, it started to drag and i kinda lost interest in it lol, but seeing as the ratings are still so high, i think itll be pretty hard for Hot Shot to beat it.
And I highly doubt Hot Shot can get above 5 in the first ep, even thought it has such a strong cast.
And mainly cuz its the last 2 episodes of FTLY so the audience will most likely want to finish watching it, as everyone likes watching the endings.

so hopefully, after FTLY finishes airing, ratings of Hot Shot will increase!=)

but so far, iv really liked the previews of Hot Shot!
Show is freakin hilarious, and im super anticipating Chun's performance!

Fated to love you is at its end...maybe a lot is anticipatings its conclusions
but ofcourse it hope HS gets good ratings also
and i will definitely be so thrilled if it beats fated to love you.
HS has lots of promise...short series with good looking and famous actors

due to the cast of jerry and wu chun and others , it will be very embarassing if it didn't give a good fight against FTLY. I heard that Jerry Yan is still very famous in taiwan so ...... for me FTLY is still no. 1. FTLY had already proven it's worth because of the ratings...

I dont think that Hot shot will win but it will surely affect FTLY's ratings.
I used to like FTLY but i think it is too draggy and some characters jus irked me out so much. Hpt shot's preview look nice

i like FTLY, but no offence it is dragging, it can be finished earlier, but no it has to drag. i know some don't find it dragging but i do. it is taking too long, and so many things, sorry to the director but heck i am not stupid i can put pieces 2getha and figure out mini stories and things. it is fine to leave some things out. people can figure things out and know, it is called reading between the lines.... unfortunately it doesn't give u that as it shows u just everything... and sometimes weird things as well... so sorry FTLY but plz stop dragging.. it is a damn good series.... i hate draggy bits...

now HS... no it isn't following the nude and everything, jokes by xiao zhu should't be taken so hard la... but yes, i will definitely watch HS first... if i was in TW i will dl FTLY and watch HS...
show luo zhi xiang himself has enough power to make me watch it, and heck i will watch it, unlike FTLY which was like the bed scene that is 1 minute longer than TKA which got me annoyed so i watched it and was like... nup tka's better... but i was hooked... and never stoppe watching haha

HS is a different matter, it didn't use bed scenes or wat to get the audience, but the very hot main characters to watch instead... huge huge show luo.. jerry yan. and wu zun will be enough for me to change the chanels and there is also george hu... so i will perfer some eye candy.. there is more there than FTLY haha.. but i must say dylan is a good one...

but yes.. i will think FTLY will stay it ins top spot... but not as high as HS will be a huge competitor... HS might not start out tooooo well like a 8 or something, but reasonable around a 3 or 4... as it is new and people will wanna try it out... if the 1st epi is very good.. then it might raise the ratings, but it won't be as high as ftly as it is like.. very popular...

but once ftly is finished.. i don't think the series after it will have enough power.. so HS will defnitely be a huge winner then...

this thread kinda made me recall that fated to love you on its initial episode wasnt number 1 but with good ratings. cant recall accurately though.

hmm let see statistic shows tat there are more females than males...as for FTLY only women watches this show i dont know about teenage girl and old lady but as for HS well oldman, young boys, teenage boys n me n teenager girls(the 3 hot guys) n mayb some old middle age women...prob some grammas wow...i think we know which will wins....definitely hot shot!

i would say no for hot shot... even if fated to love you is already finish, i don't think hot shot can create another history. hot shot is more like a imagination and fighting type of genre while fated to love you is more based on our daily life. with this type of genre, many people like to watch fated to love you including the aunties and uncle. i don't think this kind of people will watching hot shot. mostly who will watch hot shot is only their fans and little kid.

in my predict, hot shot can't even break... 8. if 5, maybe la... but to that level, i don't think so. i luv wu zun but fated to love you is more better than hot shot. but, just wait and see what happen...

But I believed..the series of Jerry yan is always making waves as far as rating in the taiwan series.. not withstanding that HOTSHOT will be a composite of greats.. Jerry Yan, Chun, and Show Lou..by the mere fans alone... I don't think HOTSHOT will fail... even in our country alone..HOTSHOT had been embattled by two NETWORKS... at this early stage.. even in Taiwan is not shown... the network who was able to get HOTSHOT is preparing for a big promotion and to the point of bringing the three Big Shots in the country...If that happens.. this will make a big smash record....

A far as FTLY..I think their rating will be affected somehow..but I believed but not that much.. since is you are a regular follower of that series..you might also want to finish first the series..but somehow when the series is first aired...a lot had been the curious enough.. It do happens in our country...

what the heck, you can't compare a drama that has JUST started with a drama that is going to end soon... that's just not right ahh...you should post this thread in end of november when hot shot has finished broadcasting...

nevertheless, it's still hard to compare the two coz one talks about love and romance and the other one focuses more on basketball and action....totally different plot and genre...and of course different people like different things ah...it's difficult to compare two things when they are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!

I'd prefer and enjoy watching Hot Shot more. I think its rather good and because they kept the drama short, with only 13 eps, it makes it better to watch. Unlike FTLY, I thought it was meant to be finish ages ago but because of the ratings, they extended the drama. It like 20+ eps now and i think its dragging on too much.

uh uh.. unlike most of you, i'd say FTLY is better and will reign at the number one spot. If i'm not mistaken, Hot Shot is just like another typical high school drama which revolves around love triangles and basketball .. sumthing like Bull Fighting and those kind of high school dramas. Honestly, i think that it only caters for those teenage-girls-who-will-swoon-over-hot-guys. Do you really think a typical high school drama like this would attract middle aged women and grandma to watch? Sorry to say this but i highly doubt so.

However, in FTLY, i think there's more to the love story of CX and XY. And this show actually attracts a variety of viewers from the adolescence till the elderly. Plus, the ratings of this show is mostly based on the storyline and their acting, which is what ratings are supposed to be based on. I doubt it is based on the looks of the cast because honestly, Ethan isn't that great looking and neither is Baron.

If Hot Shot didnt have Jerry, Show and Chun, i seriously doubt it can beat a rating of 2 for their first few eps? and need I remind you guys that despite the fact that HS was aired, FTLY 's rating is constantly at 9-10. That is great. Really.

All in all, i doubt HS can beat FTLY's highest ratings. sorry to say this, but the probability would be 0.000000000001%.

well, ever since HS start airing, i know that it will not beat FTLY's rating, not when FTLY is near the ending... ppl will tend to finish the current drama they watch before begin to watch another... so, i know FTLY will still keep the #1 rating spot...

about the storyline, FTLY was good.. i was one of the viewer who cant wait to watch the next ep as soon as possible.... but then the story became more and more dragging after the miscarriage... and also because of i kinda know how the ending will be.... but then, i still watch it just to put an end to it (FTLY worth this treatment, at least, even though its dragging ;p).
but then, what pissed me off even more than the dragging is that FTLY mixed/crossed the ending with the starting of the next drama (Shan Bao Mei)... i know, the reason behind it is too use FTLY popularity to boost up the new drama's rating, but then, it still irritating me...

HS storyline, so far i like it... and if the # of episodes is really 13, then i doubt it will be dragging... sure, what made me watch this drama in the beginning is the 3 hot guys inside, but after i watched the 1st ep, i found it qute good... and more and more like HS after every episode....
ever since HS, i anticipated the next ep of HS more than FTLY, but then its a fact that FTLY is a legend, due to its rating, i just hope that the story didnt drag...

It's hard to compare because they both have very different plots. Hot Shot is about basketball and Fated to Love You is about sleeping with the wrong person and developing a relationship AND also ratings doesn't really matter because it's only TAIWAN people watching it. Both dramas might have many fans from overseas that may not contribute to the rating system. Personally I like FTLY better, not because of the ratings, but because it has a better plot and it's a bit different from the other dramas I've watch.

Now that both dramas are finished it is safe to say which one did better, ain't it? FTLY of course!

Hotshot may have better and more popular casting than FTLY but GAWD goodness gracious, the behind the scenes takes are way better than the story [hotshots]. The only saving grace for me, at least, is the presence of Show in the drama. Honestly, I anticipated the showing of Hotshots more than I did when FTLY was broadcast but I was just disappointed with the story. I don't get why the producers wasted their money on a substandard project. tsk.

I love Hot Shot! In my opinion, the 2 dramas can't be compared because their plots are different. One focuses on love & life while the other focuses a little more on basketball & brotherhood, even though HS did have romance etc.. I find the competition between the 2 dramas are just from the viewership & ratings since they are aired closely together. Needless to say, both dramas are really good!
