Rumors have bothered ELF all over Asia about Han Geng being the chosen actor to play the character Hwa Ze Lei on the Chinese Meteor Garden revision as it will ruin his group's name Super Junior.

In an ambush interview with Han Geng, he stated "I haven't received any clear offer about it yet. I think the role is cool but I don't think I will accept it. I am Super Junior, not an F4. F4 has left the memory to Meteor Garden and I don't feel like doing it like I am trying to beat their acting or what. I want to have a role that is more interesting and that has never done by others yet. It's not because I'm picky, but I want ELF be proud of me carrying Super Junior's name wherever I go."

Han Geng also answered the rising rivalry between Super Junior-M and A-One in China which he said "I respect all the groups of the world. I believe we are here because we love music and not because we want to beat someone else. I would rather go back to my simple life than let others think I am blinded by fame and game for competition. I'm not like that. If we receive awards, it's an accomplishment of our hard works, not as a prize of winning while others lost."

As much as i wanted him to be part of the Chinese Remake of HYD i have to agree with his answers. Aside from his fully packed schedule for 2009, i think it will be confusing for fans if the China version became a big hit.

Geng always have the best answers.love you gege! No matter what happened to him in the future, Super Junior's name will always be part of him. and i really don't get it why these newbie boybands use SJ's name to gain attention. Whatever happened to that Korean band who said they'll gonna bring down SJ?? and now another one, i may say this strategy ain't gonna work. Super Junior earned their place in the Asia Ent. Scene because they worked hard for it. More often, they always have high regards to their sunbaes & other boybands.

err, the guy who played Hua Ze Lei/ Rui in Japan is not from Arashi, it's Oguri Shun, only Jun is from Arashi.
haha, but hey, Matsumoto Jun is already part of Arashi when he took lead in HYD as DMS/ Domyouji, at least he wasn't really tagged or confused as the "F4".
could be/ could not be a problem for Han Geng, esp since HZL is only 2nd male lead.

but yeah, i don't think there's a need for China to make another remake. rumors has it Hunan TV is just frying news and is not really going to buy the copyright.
