There is a legend stating that the 'Immortality Routine' is the vital key to the Yeung's Treasure'. CHUNG and LING learn the Martial Arts tricks in the 'Immortality Routine' by chance. They suddenly become the most wanted people in the Martial Arts world. Luckily, they are always saved by a nun HUEN (TONG, LEILA). LING loves HUEN from the first sight. However, she is a sacred virgin and cannot have any love affair. On the other hand, a girl KOON (WU TING YAN, NANCY) from an unorthodox sect loves LING. Meanwhile, CHUNG and LING meet MAN, who later becomes the Tong Dynasty Prince, and his sister NING (YEUNG YI, TAVIA). CHUNG is attracted to NING and so works for them. Unfortunately, Ning is engaged to a tycoon SHIU (MAO HUAFENG), who is jealous of CHUNG and tries to harm him. CHUNG swears to create his own success and draws a line with MAN. In fact, CHUNG's argumentative friend CHI (LI QIAN) loves him secretly.

Will CHUNG and Ling succeed after all kinds of challenges and suffering?

This serie will be airing in July in HongKong!!!

source: http://tvbspacenews.blogspot.com/

[Oriental Daily]

TVB's ancient drama "Twin of Brothers" (formerly referred to as "Double Dragon of the Tang") starring Raymond Lam, Ron Ng and Tavia Yeung will begin airing in July and the two 'kings of newcomers' will begin a series of on-screen 'battles' with each other. However, even before airing, the first battle has been won by Raymond, who will be singing the theme tune to the show.

Raymond and Ron are both young leads who are being heavily promoted by TVB and although they have some conflict in their careers, they are good friends in real life and dislike the comparison made between them by everyone. Little wonder that when Raymond was asked how he felt about 'winning' Ron on the theme tune matter, he immediately defended his friend: "You can't describe it as winning, the reason why the producer asked me to sing it was because I have a recording contract and it doesn't matter who sings the theme tune. (Will you let the conflicts affect your friendship?) I believe that this will not affect our relationship now or in the future, I think the reason they cast Ron and I to be the 'double dragons' was because we are really good friends."

As for whether Ron is bothered by not singing the theme tune, he says acceptantly: "No, it doesn't matter who sings it but Raymond has more experience at singing and he has a record contract." Ron says that although he was unable to sing the theme tune for "Twin", he will be singing the theme to "Destinies of the Western Chamber" that will be aired soon, together with Myolie Wu.

Really hope this series can break off the record for this year's ratings. And hopefully all of the casts will get more popular after this series is air. Wow! Newcomers so rock the tvs nowadays. It's consider a grand production, even though they dont have any "high class" actors/actresses. That is just so rare! And also hope this series will be as good as the themevideo. I dont want to see another grand production like Blade heart. That would so suck!

I just saw the themevideo for this series and it was good and all but I counted only two screenshots of Tavia in it. I guess this series will focus more on Ron and Raymond huh? I wonder who ends up with who?

42 Episodes????  Holy, that's quite a bit there.  I hope this is a good one and not a let down.

This is a big production so, they must have lots of episodes, so they can earn back their costs..

We'll see if this serie is boring of not...........

TVB's new series "Twin of Brothers" will begin airing on Monday and a promotional event was held yesterday in busy Tsimshatsui with a parade of dragons and cast members including Raymond Lam, Ron Ng, Tavia Yeung, Christine Ng, Chan San Chung and Nancy Wu wearing their ancient costumes, but suffering from the intense 32 degree heat and constantly wiping the sweat from their faces. The 'double dragons' Raymond and Ron were responsible for 'dotting the eyes' and then leading the dragon parade with their dragon pearls. The cast then followed the parade down the streets and handed out promotional paper fans to the mass of fans that had gathered, who scrambled to have pictures taken with their idols and caused a little chaos at one point.

Originally filming out in Beijing, Raymond had returned especially for the event and had to head back out again in the evening. He will be back again in August to host the Olympic games coverage before continuing filming that is expected to last until October. As for being described as the Hong Kong actor constantly stationed in the mainland, he says that it can't be helped, but he has asked the company to allow him to film more modern series in the coming year. When asked if it was hard work filming ancient series in the height of summer, he says it is okay and he remembers the time when he first went to China to film. With him and Ron showing their behinds in the first episode, are they hoping to pull in the ratings? Raymond laughs: "I hope so, I don't want my humility to go to waste!" He adds: "This show is not only filmed entirely on location, there are a lot of CGI special effects and it is a quality production. This show will be the test to see if we can film such a quality production again in the future."

When asked about how things are going in Beijing, Raymond says that the weather is very hot and changeable, sometimes with storms brewing up within five minutes, so they have to take cover in the vehicles. However he is not worried about this affecting progress because his and Bosco's scenes will be filmed separately. This is different from "Twin" where he was often together with Ron and they had to fight in almost every scenes, getting exhausted from all the wirework, so this has to be the hardest he has ever worked.
Ron was filming for "Police Cadet Brave Hearts" until the early morning and then he had to prepare for the event, so little wonder that he seemed very tired. Also he has never tried an ancient costume parade before, so he feels a little odd, but he is not afraid of scaring the foreigners because he had just attracted someone to take a photo of him. It was originally planned for the cast to walk a distance down the street, but due to the chaos that arose, they were force to turn back. Ron did not feel that it was very chaotic, but this may have been because of the security teams keeping the crowds back. During the parade, there were a group of overseas Chinese girls wearing low cut tops who called out that he was very handsome, but he did not hear them. In the show, he has kiss scenes with Nancy Wu and Leila Tong, so Ron was asked who was the better kisser and he replied: "Oh, I don't know. (Are you afraid of causing more rumours?) No, we have finished filming now." When asked if he was afraid of people touching him up, he laughs: "Even if they did I wouldn't know because my costume is so thick!"

Tavia laughs that the parade was fantastic and she explains that it was just some people pushing against those at the front and there was not really any confusion. She was also not worried about people taking advantage, but was more worried about fans getting injured, luckily they managed to keep order. With high hopes for the show's ratings, has she arranged with the other cast members how they will celebrate? Raymond had suggested that if the ratings hit 40 points, the girls should wear bikinis, whilst the guys stood and watched, so to this Tavia responded: "How about if the show hits 30 points, the guys wear triangular swimming trunks and the girls stand by and watch?" She was not disappointed about not being able to complete the original route, saying: "It is a good thing because it is so hot today, my costume is already soaked through. (Was it really hard work before?) It was very hot, but there were too many people and it was very crowded and suffocating. Was there anyone taking advantage? No, there was too many security guards around. I am pleased to see so many people here to support us today as this has injected confidence into the shows ratings."

Christine Ng also paid to return to Hong Kong from Beijing where she is currently filming, just to take part in the event

OMG, I just read that someone in Australia already got the 1st episode to this sereis!! So unfair.

Anyways, what the hell is Tavia doing to Raymond in that picture?Hehehe!! They seem to be very close to each other. I wonder where Lelia Tong is, she in this series too.

Oh, one question I have been meaning to ask. Does anyone know what kind of role does Christine Ng play? Just wondering. She stands out among the young cast.

hi everyone. It seems i'm the only one who has watched and read this novel and manga. I was kinda supprised that the writter's name is not mentioned in the opening part but it did in the ending part though. Considering the novel has about 48 volume and each consist around 170 pages. I don't think the TV series would drag cus I expected 100 episodes would be good.

So far, i have watched 2 episodes. The plot looks it has twisted a bit based on the opening. Enjoying so far and hopefully, it won't take out the part i really loved. clapping.gif

I think they're planning on doing that if the ratings for Twin of Brothers is good
besides, it's cheaper to film in China, and they have already spent a lot on new sets

The story of Twin of Brothers is starting to build a little steam because more and more characters are being introduced to the series. This should provide additional momentum as for ratings, but To Catch the Uncatchable is an interesting series so it will be interesting to see the ratings picture further down the line. The release schedule for the two series should have definitely been different, does not make to much sense to have 2 good series competing with one another.

i agree, with wat u say about showing two good series at the same time. it reallie isnt smart. but i watch both series and so far i thought both were reallie good in there own kind of way since tob is ancient and to catch the uncatcable is modern. also they are in different time slot so maybe tvb want to have a big bang or sumthin to get soaring rating with two series at the same time. since this is a tob site i'm gonna talk about it, i think this is a reallie good series like sum1 said more and more charaters are getting introduce in each episode which gets it exciting and not turn it dull, i also really like the special effects that they have although it seems like they have a lot they also do many real fighting scene unlike sum of the other ancient series, which make it fun to watch. 42 episode does seem like a lot but if tvb knows how to do it right . then it wiil turn out great.

After reading all your messages, it makes me wants to start watching the series. I have dled all 6 eps but never start because I like to wait until I have the completed series.

As for the Nick Tse & Dicky Cheung's Twin of Brother; I think it just happens that the name are the same. I know it's a different story. I think their story is the same as the one that was done by Tony Leung & Hugo Ng in TVB back in the 80s. I think the name is something like 'Two Honorable Knights'.

PURE SPECULATION:

I've watched several episodes now and have started speculating on what might potentially occur in this series so people don't mind me. I'm starting to feel that Chung's character will develop into the anti-hero aka the tragic hero because the character lives within the realm of easily crossing the line from good to evil. Although this scenario is development slowly, there are many factors in place that will lead to the transition to the quasi "evil" transformation.
1) His love for Ms. Lee
2) His desire to receive respect and recognition from others
3) His mischievious behavior and his willingness violate "rules"
4) His potential love for Ms. Song

This is purely speculation so don't take my word for it. Feel free to express what potential might develop because your ideas would be greatly appreciative.

Was just curious if anyone else thinks the use of slow motion and disruptive sequences dizzying at times? blink.gif

i totally agree, in the begining of the series they have the two brother to learn the evil powers because 1 is yin and 1 is yang. i think that cheng is going to become evil, but because of his brothers help he will be good again, that is the whole reason they have the two brothers part, because they are a balence within each other. they can only focus onh good if they have each other to balence themselves up. If ne1 notice cheng and his brother have totally different personality and i think that is why cheng is going to be the evil one. sry, wat i am saying might be confusing, hope u understand.

I agree too because Chung is always going for recognition. But as a kinda off topic side thing, I think Chung would look cool being evil. cool.gif He looked good in A Step Into the Past as the evil emperor.

Anyways, I'm sure he'll turn back good in this series. And as for the love triangles and stories, it's never hard to predict the TVB way of finishing it. laugh.gif Chung will end up with Ning (Tavia Yeung), and Lin will end up with Heun (Leila Tong). Happily Ever After. haha clapping.gif clapping.gif

ooooooooooo baby!!! clapping.gif

I've just completed episode 10 and it's really starting to get juicy... The key for the door of scenario 2 has been discovered and the outcome is boiling!!! Chung is now progressing towards the dark side smile.gif (god stars wars was a great movie introducing the "dark side") Scenario number 4 is also been put into motion.

Thanks, Musicman1000 for introducing the ying yang (yy) effect because after evaluating the situation and developments, it is clearly materializing within the Chung and Ling characters. koodos because that really provided a solution to my mind concerning certain events, and has provided answers within my restricted paradigm...

THIS BABY IS STARTING TO GET GOOOOODD!!! clapping.gif

XUXE, if you don't mind reading subtitles there is a program out there that creates various english, spanish, hopefully viet subtitles in video files. I forgot the actual name of the program I used, but I do know it exist. The program creates various subtitles simultaneously when a movie is played on your computer. It was great!!! Try searching in yahoo or google the baby.

Smiley, Love can make people do really, really, really, stupid things. Case in point, Waisee Lee's character has changed significantly ever since he fell in love with Christine. The great thing is that typical TVB you would expect women to do such craziness, but for some reason they have all the males in this series going nuts dry.gif hahaha this is not a good thing

no problem chiarmanmao, i'm glad i could help. zI totally agree with u thienly about raymond overshining ron. ppl say tat ron is popular because of his gd performance in TITS, but i think tat his perfomance in that series was really bad, especially with francis ng as his big bro. but i think in this series his acting has improved a lot, but i agree tat raymond still is better in acting then ron, because he is more experiance after all. But in this series i actually like ron's character more, becasue he seems like a good and ritgious person.
FYI: if ne1 didn't kno, TOB is actually a act out of a part of china's history, the things about the kings and the general are all actually true, except the part about raymond lam and ron ng + the mystical powers they learned.

i think this series is pretty good, with pretty ladies and nice looking guys in it. their acting is also a lot better than most mediocre actors, and this is, up till now an enjoyable series. i like all the girls, they can fight isntead of the usual damsels in distress. *spoilers* episode 9 was so romantic... u could really melt in kau chong's eyes. but episode 10 was really sad... i felt so bad for kau zhong and sau ling. this series is just getting better n better. didn't regret watching it. the suspense is killing me.
