Who's been and still stressing out over exams here? Aren't you glad they will soon be over?

Well... so will ♪♫ AF Idol 2009 ♫♪! But this we're not so glad =(... Gosh, what are we gonna do for the rest of the year? There won't be joy in coming to AF now that all the hot voices aren't competing anymore~ Well some people are going camping, some bumming around the house, some working to earn extra cash, some recording songs to post up over in AF Recording Studio, and some will definitely be looking out for AF Golden Globes 2009! But all that stuff will come after Round 3, so let's concentrate on Idol shall we

So about 48 hours ago we announced our ♪♫ AF Idol 2009 ♫♪ Finalists

How To Read the Table:

The table is sorted in overall Z-score, which is basically 4 Z-scores added together. 2 Z-scores for each song (one for voters one for judges for each song). Since every contestant sang 2 songs, hence each contestant has 4 Z-scores added together.

And now briefly about what a Z-score is. Basically, each Z-score represents the mark awarded to the song along a normal distribution (something which most countries teach in maths/statistics towards the end of high school). In a normal distrubtion, the futher you are away from 0, the more 'unique' you are. The closer to 0, the more you are the average person. A + indicates you are above average score-wise in that category, and a - indicates you are below average. It is important to know that this is below average amoungst the 21 semi-finalists, and more than half were eliminated in the previous round, so all of you are still way above average!

She completely forgot to penalise the late submitters, and when she did, Ranger was RAGING mad because that had affected the final results (sorry!). REQUIREMENTS

What are the Song Requirements?


Round 3: You are required to submit 2 songs. One is a Judge Choice, one is an Own Choice.

All submissions need to be sung on background music. If you need help with finding an instrumental for your entries, you can ask for help in the Instrumental/Karaoke Request thread. Submissions must NOT contain profanity.

Your submissions for AF Idol 2009 MUST be unique. In other words, you cannot submit songs that you have submitted for previous years' Idol, other online singing competitions or even songs that have been posted on other forums. We have spies around, and if we catch you, you are deemed to disqualification!


SUBMISSION

You cannot change song choices or resubmit the entries so make sure you take time to choose songs that suit you, record and perfect them! You may, however, send in one song at a time in case you accidentally lose one of your entries. If you require an extension in Round 3, the most we can offer is 48 hours and you will lose 2% on the Judges' score on the song(s) that you submit late, and 5% every 24 hours after. If you don't request for an extension, you will automatically lose 5% on the Judges' score on the song(s) every 24 hours that you submit late. Also please note that extension needs to be requested 48 hours before the deadline. So let's see if you have good time management skills .

Your entries should be in .mp3 format. You can either submit your song as an attachment or you can send us a download link (highly preferred).

E-mail your submission to af.idol@hotmail.com with the Round 3 submission form and your songs with your Contestant Number as the subject.

Hmmmmm! i RECKON THAT THE OPERATIVE WORD FOR THE FINAL ROUND IS CREATIVITY.


I'm unsure if I'm at liberty or in the position to give unsolicited advice to my favorites but I'd like to let them know that I support them all the way, so just my 2 cents. I know, you better know than I do. To #45, the first time I heard you sing, the first thing that crossed my mind was JURIS of MYMP. If you're free take a time out to listen to some of their songs, so you will have an idea of the possible things that you can do with your voice. To #34, I've listened awhile ago to your latest cover and CREATIVITY is right at your doorstep. Its innate in you, so don't step back to use it cause your born with it.

Lxt, My sister and I both agree that the singers behind Yuan Dian cover are Divas.
