SHINee's Onew confimed with Swine Flu, Saturday November 7, 2009 Korea Options

The curse of the swine flu seems to have struck SHINee. Having only just reported hours earlier that Jonghyun had recovered fully from swine flu, it was reported now that SHINee's leader, Onew has also been hit by it.

The announcement came at around 6pm on 7th November as it was reported that Onew had developed a gentle, mild fever last night. He was sent to the hospital today and tests have shown that he has contracted swine flu.

Onew has been prescribed Tamiflu and is now back home resting.

The other three SHINee members, Key, Minho and Taemin were also tested for precaution, and neither of them have shown any symptoms of the illness fortunately.

So despite welcoming Jonghyun back from illness, SHINee will perform as a 4-member group in Onew's absence on the 8th November episode of Inkigayo.

Updates:

Super Junior's Eeteuk will replace Onew on Shinee's Ring Ding Dong stage.

Onew started showing symptoms yesterday afternoon and was sent to the hospital for a check up; he tested positive for swine flu this afternoon and is now currently resting at home

Eeteuk will make a sudden appearance on the second half of Shinee's Ring Ding Dong stage on SBS Inkigayo tomorrow to show support to his juniors. Jonghyun will also be back tomorrow to perform with the rest of the members.

In addition, Minho, Key and Taemin have gone for check ups as precautionary measure and have tested negative for swine flu.

Oh no...!!! Dobu~~~ this really has been a bad year for his health....!! also shows how overworked these young idol stars are.... well, im glad its nothing too serious and jonghyun is better already.
also a big sigh of relief that the other SHINee members tested negative, hope they all take good care of themselves!
im rather excited to see Teukie with the other SHINee members though, should be good to watch.... though after Yesung's guest appearance yesterday, just goes to show that SHINee, like all other bands, cant really survive unless they're altogether (TVXQ ).

aww, that's really bad timing for them. two members getting the new flu right when they're doing promotions for the new song. at least jonghyun's better again now and hopefully onew will recover soon too.

lmao SWINee lol good one ^.~ this year is getting worse and worse neh. everyone is having a hard time. i find it kinda ironic that they replace onew the leader of shinee with the leader of suju teukie. lol yesung did a good job although i much perfer jonghyun style in singing it. i can imagine yesung giving his hoobae a hard time though lol with all his excitement in helping shinee out.

Piper its not that TVXQ cant survive without one another (but yeah the members did say they cant live without one another.)... its just all the fans and the members perfer them to be together. dbsk shine the brightest when they are five however im sure they all can succeed if they went solo. each member have the whole package unlike other groups that only have some member for dancing or sining and appearance.

Honestly I'm not surprised about it.
Someone told me that Jonghyun was just at home while recovering from Swine Flu.
It would be best if when they knew that Jonghyun has Swine Flu they have quarantined the other 4 members to be sure.
