B blood type males are a HOT topic in Korea, amongst the NETIZENS at the moment supposedly, and Kim Hyun Jung has released a song called B Hyung Namja, about her own experiences with a Type B guy.

This is a ROMANTIC COMEDY.
Lee Dong Gun stars as a typical B Blood type guy "Young Bin" with all the characteristics associated with it e.g. destructive personality, quick to fall in love, but equally quick to cool that love down. However, LDG's character doesn't exhibit player-like characteristics.

He plays an university student, who is trying to get a business started up. He uses the money his parents have given him, for him to rent/buy an apartment, to buy a flashy sports car. He has bought this sports car to maintain a cool and successful image of himself to the world. Meanwhile he lives at the sauna rooms.

Han Ji Hye plays a typical A blood type girl, slow to love, but falls hard and once love has set in she is steadfast in that love. She also plays an university student "Hami", who falls in love with Young Bin at first sight, not knowing what his personality is like or where he is living.

She stays with him altho he hurts her, until she finally has to leave, even tho she still loves him.

There is a 3rd party to this story. Young Bin's sunbae/boss/businessman. This guy is played by Yoo Tae Woong, and competes for Hami's love.

Lee DongGun and Han Jihye appeared on SBS Kim Yongman & Shin DongYub's Jilgyul ChatGi and revealed their feelings toward each other.

On the question of "While i was acting, i felt feelings for the other person." Both Lee DongGun and Han Jihye revealed the truth...

Lee DongGun first got feelings for Han Jihye on the set of KBS "NaRang 18Sae." While Han JiHye was filming the scene where she was waiting for Lee DongGun, Han Jihye was freezing in the cold because she wearing light clothes. When Lee Dong Gun saw her freezing in the cold, he thought to himself "I want to keep this girl warm." With this feeling, he had acted out a hugging scene.

Han JiHye had felt feelings for Lee DongGun while filming the movie "My Boyfriend is B-Type." While she and Lee DongGun was filming a kiss scene on a merry Go-round, she had felt feelings for him.

One producer said "They have been trying to get out of scandals that surrounded them starting last year but it is surprising how they were really honest. It seems like their relationship is like a couple."

The comic perils of dating a type-B (2005/02/02)

He's the type of guy who leaves his girlfriend in his car so that he doesn't have to pay the on-street parking fee. His idea of a gift is a walkie-talkie set, so he can reach her at his convenience as quickly as possible. He shops for what he wants first, but makes her pay. Then he drives her crazy by asking her ever so innocently, "Should we break it off, then?"
He might be a jerk, and she might be a patsy for staying with him. But that's because he has blood type B and she's type A, according to Chae-yeong (Shin-ee), a dating consultant in the movie "My boyfriend is type-B."
A strong believer in the blood type theory, which says that one's blood type determines one's personality, Chae-yeong goes on with her wacky logic about how blood type can have an effect on a person's love life.
Her point is that a type-B male is conceited, stubborn and absolutely useless as a boyfriend, especially when the female is timid and obedient, like Ha-mi (Han Ji-hye), who has blood type A.
The film, which opens today, is a typical love story about two very different young people finding out slowly that they are actually in love. But the director, Choi Seok-won, introduces actor Lee Dong-geon as a romantic macho type (he doesn't want to be told what to do but still sings a love serenade to his girlfriend), while using the recent blood-type craze to develop the film's whimsical plot.
These elements have charmed Japanese movie distributors. Before the new film was released in Korea, Nippon Herald Film bought the film with a minimum guarantee of $1.5 million.
"Lee Dong-geon is gaining popularity as a new Korean idol in Japan, where issues involving blood type theories have been very familiar and popular," said Mona Jin, assistant marketing manager of Cinema Zenith, a producer of "My boyfriend is type-B."
"Japanese distributors were intrigued ever since the screenplay was started two years ago," she said.
Several Japanese fans were at the movie's premiere last week in Seoul. Noriko Aeoki, from Osaka, said she came with about 10 other people who wanted to see Lee Dong-geon and Han Ji-hye, who appeared together at a press meeting after the screening.
Ms. Han said Ha-mi did portray ― in a much-exaggerated way ― how she would act in front of the opposite sex. "Could it be because I am a blood type-A person in real life as well?" she asked with a laugh.
Lee Dong-geon was more serious when he said he did not want to judge a person solely by blood type. "It was fun, acting as a completely different person from myself. But I honestly don't think blood type could really matter [when dating]," he said, adding that he was actually a "helpless" type A.
The director said his idea was to maximize the comic effect by using the blood type theory. "I thought about making a horror movie about a man with blood type B. But that would have been too odd, don't you think?"

Hey peeps! Im a new member. Thanks for the info on My Boyfriend's Blood Type is B. I was searching all over the net for this topic but as it so happens, there is none yet because it has not been shown. Im from the Philippines and they might not show it here because Han Ji Hye is not very popular here. I only know about her (and I like her so much) because I recently finished watching Sweet 18. They are sooo adorable! Please, if you have any info on Yuriwah: Stained Glass, please keep me posted. I am so totally into Lee Dong Gun. Thank you in advance. They havent shown it here yet and I agree. Lovers in Paris is one of the greatest series that Ive seen so far, aside from Stairway to Heaven, Winter Sonata and Meteor Garden. I liked MARS too, but not as much... I think VIc is too tall for Barbie, but that's just my opinion Thanks a bunch guys!

I guess the movie finally got released over there... thank you for posting the synopsis of the movie.. i have already watched the trailer for this movie and i can't wait til this movie reacher the philippine market. i'm so dying to watch it! Lee Dong Gun is so HotHotHot! I definitely, absolutely love him! Plus, the LDG-HJH tandem is sooper cute. I really adored them in Sweet 18! It's just so sad that Lee Dong Gun's going to take a rest from the movie and TV scenes.. I will definitely miss him. just thinking about a year without LDG makes me wanna cry!<sigh? Sadness!

I love them. I hope their relationship is true to life. Sweet 18 was one of my favorite series. But of course, My all time Favorite was Meteor Garden. I'm a JnB fan. I'm also a Korean fan especially when it comes movies and series. My favorite korean series as from now was Full house. I'm a big fan of Song hye kyo and Won Bin , I started to like them in Endless love I. They're look good together. They were a good match. I hope to see them together again soon. Mar's was also a good series because I love Barbie, Dee and F4. But I prefer Jerry in Vic's character. Jnb forever. Lover's in Paris was okay, but I don't like the story, I like the three main characters especially the acting of Lee dong gun. I hope I can watch My boyfriend is type-B soon.

i knew lee don-gun's whereabouts since i watched "lovers in paris". the thruth, he's too old for me but he caught my full attention and the rest of my nerves down to my spines!!!!!!! his actin seemed to be natural and not trying hard something like close to his real mannerisms..geeezzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!
do ya know that he reveled that they had fallin with each other(his co-femalestar). he's too good to be true. well, atleast he is honest not like the other filipino male stars here who denies everythin about their feeling to make their personality interesting because they are not commited yet.
