^yea, the main girl in days at seoul high is really dumb...i mean how can she not see that hae-young loves her deeply ...i think the author updated to chpt.48, and after reading it, i am even more pissed at the main girl

the name for "The Untouchables" is the "nickname" for shinhwa....it means that no girl can touch them since the 6 biatches that is the most powerful "posse" at the university likes them...but then this one unique girl encounters all six of them on different occassions and they fall head over heals for her...but the poor girl that the guys like has to be bullied and beaten up by the posse..oh yea, other than "The Untouchables" like this girl, taebin also likes her too..so make that 7 guys falling head over heals for her

the author for days at seoul high has also started 2 other fics..have you read them yet, they are housemate wanted and this is korea, not america *links can be found in her signature...too lazy to search and since you check up on days at seoul high quite frequently..hehe ' *

well, i dunno about non-gasoo fics being better...i guess it all depends on the writer '

yup, i've been reading 'Housemate Wanted'...KKR is hot in that fic! i just wish people would write more about Eun Byul. :sigh: haven't read 'This Is Korea, Not America' though. have you read it before.

thanks for trying to help me understanding To Make Him Laugh and The Requirements To Be A Pretty Boy, but it's just that the translators don't really state who is saying that sentence so i got confused and gave up....and i kinda also gave up because....they didn't have a poster stating who's whom...i get confused with the korean names A LOT... i have this really bad habit with those fanfics posters...i tend to be a bit more "patient" with the fics that have a nice poster ' i couldn't believe that i actually screamed at the computer screen when i clicked onto a fic and saw my favourite ulzzang's pic in the poster and that he was posing for the main guy in the fic i feel so ridiculous and immature right now '

yeah...she doesn't update 'Housemate Wanted' as much...and yeah, all her fics are pretty cliche. it gets annoying after a while, but still fun to read. i just kinda blew up at her latest post in 'Days At Seoul High'...omg, i just simply can't believe how f*cking arrogant Hye-kyung is...makes me wanna slap her, even if she's fictional. haha...

i would probably read 'This Is Korean, Not America', but then i noticed that DBSG was in it...haha, i like them and all, but i can't stand reading about them in fics...it's alright if it's just one of them, but all of them is just...eh. i have this weird thing with gasoos when i read fics...even if i like them i can't read them in fics. i think the only DBSG related fics i read frequently were 'Tainted'(i think Hero was in it, right? i haven't read it in awhile ') and 'Whatever They Say' (or something like that.) i gave up on the last one though, because i thought it'd be too depressing for me to read.

i finished reading 'World's Best Guy' yesterday...i kinda had mixed feelings about it. i agree that incest is just wrong, but they were so in love with one another...it was too sad to break them apart...the incest part just keeps nagging me though.

After All... *a hyesung fic, really dramatic and touching at the same time, it's just started but the author posts quite frequently...i really like the author's writing style...and this fic is NOT cliche

Luminous Vision Of His Simple Charisma *a new fic, it's consists of dbsg but the author only posted a prologue and chpt. one only...but it's alright, quite interesting

Cattleya Orchids-Pure Reminensence Gems *same author as Luminous Vision of His Simple Charisma, this is a non-gasoo fic...quite interesting...it's kinda cliche, but yet it's not...hard to explain '

TF-Fragrance of an Angel *this is the latest translated fic of guiyeoni...and it's co-written with a few other internet novel authors...i have no idea what the story is like since i haven't read it yet

TF-His Warning: Don't.Pester.Me *another new tf currently being translated...it's not by guiyeoni and i also have no idea what this is about since i haven't read it yet

i liked 'World's Best Guy' enough to get teary...but i don't think it was as good as 'To A Beautiful Wolf'...my god, i cry over that one everytime i read it. it's on my Top 10. haha, i'm too tense about them too...i started to read 'That Naive Iljeen Guy' and 'To My Boyfriend'...but i was afraid they'd be too sad so i quit reading them. i'm such a wuss.

:gasp: a Hyesung fic! i get all immature ad teenybopper-ish everytime it comes to him. i shall definitely get around to reading them, as well as the rest of the fics you've listed.

lol, i'm such a TF fic whore...when you told me about a new Guiyeoni i immediately raced over to Soompi and found it...and to my delight, it was a collaboration with a lot of other good authors! 'Fragance of an Angel' is really dark so far, but it's excellent. definitely not a typical TF. just in the first chapter there's rape involved...and unlike a typical TF, the main guy doesn't save the girl.

and 'His His Warning: Don't.Pester.Me' is good too, but it's a very typical TF. girl gets dumped by her cheating BF, girl gets drunk and sees this guy that looks like her ex-BF...yeah, it's kinda like that. i still enjoy reading it.

grr, i bet they are jealous of her...not very many people can be so talented. man, she wrote 'The Guy Was Muhshesuh' at 16?! that's one year older than me! wow. pure genius. i consider 'The Guy Was Muhshesuh' to be one of her best works. hmm, i will now go check out that profile of hers. thanks.

mmm, the only fic i've read of hers is 'Blue Masquerade'...very good fic, but i never got to finish it. she made Hyesung sound quite alluring in there. lol. and yes, i agree that she's an excellent writer.

as for 'Thesis', i ended up being really paranoid for about a week after i read it...i don't think i told you guys before, lol. it just really made me think about creepy things...and i was sitting by myself in the middle of the night near the end of the fic too. XD

i haven't checked 'Teacher Evaluation' in awhile...i remember i liked it a lot though. and that Won Bin looked hot in the poster.

Here are some comments on other fics I've read.
I'll rate them in a scale of 1 to 10 (worst to best, i.e.)

Tainted Memories of Issey Miyake

Okay this is one of only 2 gasoo fics I like. Well, I actually avoid reading gasoo fics because they kinda give me a preconceived idea of the characters' personalities..... so that makes the story less interesting for me and way too monotonous.

Now back to Tainted Memories, I'll give this a 10!
I love reading this. Thank God I only recognized one gasoo (kangta)... so I enjoyed this very much. The characters were so funny that I couldn't help laughing all throughout. I especially enjoyed reading the present times... the past was a bit too sappy. I love happy endings so I highly recommend this.


Love

I'll give this a 10 too. The main character is so clueless in an endearing way and you can't help but love her. I enjoyed reading this very much. It's hilarious, light and no bloody fights or violence actually. Happy ending too.


Memories

Giving it an 8.
The other gasoo fic I liked. Nice story and nice ending..... but I found the machinations of the female antagonist way too obvious and pretty dumb. What was more dumb was that the others fell for it.


The Heart's Serenade

An 8. Nice story..... kinda reminded me of The Guy was Muhshesuh. I would have given this a 10 because the first 3/4 of the fic was so enjoyable. However the last few chapters turned a little bit negative that at one point I actually detested the main guy... the ending was happy though but way too short... not enough to compensate for the not-so-good chapters. But still a very good fic. A must read.


Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do

Giving it a 6.
Way too violent and bloody. The plot's twists and turns left me with a bitter taste. The first ending of the fic left me scarred! LOL.... so scarred that I had to read The Guy was Muhshesuh again just so I could be "unscarred!" hahaha However the side story ending was good. Thank God.


It Was You All Along

A short story by val. Giving it a 7. Short but nice and cute.

^yep, 'Love' is one of my favorite TFs...the other is 'One Day My Heart Told Me'. which are probably complete opposites of each another. i like 'Love' a lot because it was funny yet filled with drama the whole time...but it wasn't so much that it was like, 'whoooa, too much to take in'. i love the main character too. it was sad to see the fic finished.

i also highly disliked 'Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do'...it was alright at first, but then as the fic progressed i started to develop this HUUUGE dislike towards the girl lead...so i stopped reading it. (although i did read the ending before i gave up on it. >.< it's a bad habit of mine when reading fics or books.

another good one that's getting a lot of recs at Soompi is Conversations Between a Gentleman and a Lady. i just read it yesterday and loved it. too bad there's only 4 chapters up. >.< er, but if you don't like violence then this fic probably won't seem so appealing to you. there's no 'bloody' violence so far, but gangs are a big part of the fic. or at least it seems like it.

oh wow, really? that's pleasing to the ears, lol. no problem, i'm just trying to spread the love for good fics. i'm glad to know someone actually reads what i recommend! haha, because it seems like no one ever comes in here.

i didn't realize 'Do Re Mi' turned out to be a violent fic...at the beginning it just seemed like an obnoxious girl who fell for the cute band boy who lived next door. apparently not. 0_0 hahaha, i don't even remember their names anymore...it's been so long...i had the fic saved on my computer, but i hated it so much that i sent it straight to the Recycle Bin and had it trashed. ' i'd have to say it's my least favorite fic of Guiyeoni.

i love non-gasoo fics as well! i think they're much better than gasoo fics, because then you can create them from your own imagination instead of already knowing the gasoo, which might have an impact on how you feel about the character. i know it's that way for me...it has prevented me from reading/finishing great fics, like 'Tainted Memories' and 'Joie De Vivre'. (both have DBSG in them...i'm okay with their music; just not with reading them in fics...)

I would recommend The 100-Day Contract but it was closed because the translator is missing. aish that was my favorite one too.

So i'll recommend The Sheep Who Cried Wolf. i dunno i don't think theres much of a plot in here but you'll get lots of laughs. I stopped reading because i got lazy so i don't know if it turned a bit weird or something...it seems like the older bro is tooo protective of the main character...but what do i know? i think some of you read it so can someone tell me what happens? xD

lol, i never finished "Tainted Memories" either...all i know is that i liked it a lot, but for some reason i stopped reading. i'm still too afraid to read "To My Boyfriend" because lots of people say it's really sad...lol, if the link expired to the fic i sent you, i'll upload it again. it's such a great comedy...not really serious, but still a good fic.

i liked "100-Day Contract" a lot too! but then the TLer abandoned us. gah. i also stopped reading "The Sheep Who Cried Wolf"! we have similar reading habits, Sylvie. i remember that it was funny, but once again i'm not sure why i stopped reading.

schwartz, i know what you mean about the girl in "If I Marry At 18.." i think that's the reason why i stopped halfway through, haha. you've got great recs on your list..."To A Beautiful Wolf" made me cry so much...

^ Haha, I kinda agree with you guys on "The Sheep Who Cried Wolf"...it was a pretty cliche fic, though it was really funny and hilarious, so it was pretty enjoyable to read..that is, until towards the middle, it started to get all....draggy. The author kinda extended some events...she used around twenty chapters explaining an event...without any "real" conflict in it...

Eheh, have you guys read Joie De Vivre? It's by the same author as Tainted Memories of Issey Miyake. Omg...after spending five hours to read Joie De Vivre, all I can say is that don't read this in the middle of the night, or if you're already in a depressed mood. ' While I was reading the fic, it gave me an emotional roller coaster, leaving me crying and laughing...though I was crying more.

Woo~I heard that To My Boyfriend is almost finished...but they still have to translate the side-story. Eh, yeah, it's really sad, I started to cry when I was reading until chapter 15 or something like that. ' I gave up towards the middle, because I was so frustrated. T.T
