she can act... i like her acting but her personal life is a bit complicated right? she is getting thinner and she has a better look when she first join the entertaiment industry.

Cecelia is not one of my favorite, but she's got a unique voice. I can't say that it is great but i just kind of like listening to her sing!

Most celebrities look better as they grow in the entertainment industry, because they dress themselves up and improve their looks. But somehow, Cecilia only gets worst. She looks better before she got all the tatoos and piercings and dramatic weight lost. She looks like she's in her 30's and she got some very bad taste in clothes. They look very tacky and ghetto. Not to say some outfit she wears look very trashy and sleazy. But I guess her image calls for it, since she's not pulling that good girl look anyway.

She needs to concentrate on her life and career, instead of letting men becomes a problem for her. She's not that old to be begging for a love life and serious relationship.I mean she gotta live it up and quit acting so DOWN on her love life.

Leo and Cecilia in Japan as HK representatives

Major idols, Leo Ku and Cecilia Cheung yesterday attended the ‘Japanese Culture Socialize Year- 2005 Hong Kong Movies’. Besides representing Hong Kong, Leo and Cecilia socialized with the musicians and performers of Japan.

This Japanese socializing function has two parts, a movie discussion conference and a music discussion conference. Leo represented Hong Kong at the music discussion conference which was also attended by Korean singer, BoA, Japanese band, Chemistry and composer Yanagiman. They had a discussion with students and lecturers about music for approximately 2 hours.

Later, Leo, Cecilia, Wong Jing and Raymond Wong attended a press conference for their new movie, Sassy Killer (Chinese title translated to English, not official English title). This attracted more than 200 people to come and report on this. The area was filled with excited people, a Hong Kong student who was studying in Japan to come and watch. The student said that Leo’s image was just like Japanese star, Masaharu Fukuyama’s and Cecilia was the Hong Kong version of Aya Ueto. The student said that Leo and Cecilia were extremely talented stars because they both are very talented singers and actors.

When asked if they were happy when working on Sassy Killer, Cecilia said that receiving the money was the best part, she said, “Wong Jing is the best director in Hong Kong and he never bargains with the actors and actresses.” Wong Jing smiled when he head this. When ask to rate to acting of Leo and Cecilia, Wong Jing smiled and said that he could not comment. If the movie goes well at the box offices, he will give them 100% but if it doesn’t go as well, marks will be taken off.

Leo and Cecilia accused of being country traitors

The Chinese rocket which returned home on Monday has become the pride of all Chinese people. On the day of the landing, Japanese president was caught going to 靖國神社, this outraged Chinese citizens. Leo Ku and Cecilia Cheung were in Japan at the time for the Japanese Culture Socialization- 2005 Hong Kong Movies function. Both of them were accused by the outraged Chinese citizens as country traitors. Leo and Cecilia said that the only reason they went to Japan was to promote their new movie.

Leo’s manager Paco said, “The Hong Kong government were the ones who told Leo to go to Japan to represent Hong Kong at the movies and music discussion conference. The main reason Leo went there was to promote his new movie and socialize with other performers. Going to Japan has nothing to do with politics and betraying China.” A spokesperson for Cecilia said, “Three months ago, Cecilia received an invitation from the Hong Kong government. When Cecilia accepted the invitation, none of this had happened. Plus Cecilia and politics have no relation at all!”

Cecilia Cheung denies pregnancy rumours

When Cecilia Cheung was admitted into hospital, it caused an eruption of rumours. When leaving the hospital on Saturday, Cecilia immediately started work and denied pregnancy rumours. Cecilia’s manager said that she will lodge a complaint on Apple Daily’s false reports.

Ms Lee, Cecilia’s manager said that Cecilia was admitted into hospital because she had the flu. Miss Lee said that the management team will undergo drastic law measures on Apple Daily, she said, “If Cecilia had a baby I would tell the public. I do not need some journalists writing up false rumours on Cecilia.”

Cecilia left the hospital on Saturday morning. Her assistant firstly took all Cecilia’s belongings from the hospital bedroom to the company’s car and then came back to walk Cecilia to the car. Cecilia who had a good days rest in hospital, left in a pink mini skirt and pink sun glasses. Even though Cecilia still had bags under her eyes, she looked healthy and energetic. The reporters rushed to Cecilia and asked her if she was pregnant and if she was going to keep the baby. Cecilia did not answer any questions with regarding the baby. Cecilia then went into her company’s car and went home. Cecilia had a change of clothes and sun glasses and then went to work on her new movie.

Cecilia had an interview and said, “I lived in room number 201 not in the level where the pregnant women are kept! There rumours will have a real effect on my job. Some company’s may deem me as unfit for the job as their spokesperson!”

Cecilia had 10 injections while in the hospital and said that her boyfriend bought her toys. Cecilia also said, “My mum said to me, ‘Daughter, why not quit your job! You health is more important.” But I told her that my acting career is too important to me. I will only consider quitting my job when I find a man that I can rely on and get married to. But then again, when I do get married I will probably work on a movie and year and not really quit fully.”

Interesting how rumours that may possibly be true or false or a bit both, get around so fast... I despise thus for even celebrities require and deserve privacy.

Cecilia Cheung talks about "The Promise"

BEIJING, Nov. 1 -- Chen Kaige's blockbuster "The Promise"has been selected to represent the Chinese mainland in next year's Academy Awards. The film's star, Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung, recently talked about the production.
"I am greatly encouraged since many foreign directors and actors, as well as reporters, praised the film when it was screened at Cannes in May. They thought it was the best Chinese movie they have seen,"said Cheung.

Cheung said whether or not she wins a prize is not the most important thing for her. "In the process of shooting ‘The Promise,' everyone had a tough time. If there is a prize, I think it belongs to all of us. I hope through the Oscar, Americans and people from other countries learn that movies directed by our Chinese directors are well done, equal to Hollywood."

For Cheung, the most interesting aspect of the film is that the story is not set in ancient times as it appears to be and that it is not a martial arts movie. "During the shooting, I said to the director, ‘Are we shooting a future story, not an ancient one挂' and Chen nodded with a smile.”

Still, many moviegoers do not understand the story or the film's title. "I believe ‘promise' stands for love. ‘The Promise' means love is boundless, love is shapeless, love is unpredictable and love is promise,"said Cheung.

The late Hong Kong actor Leslie Cheung won international acclaim for his performance in Chen's "Farewell My Concubine”. Through "The Promise,"Cecilia also learned from Chen. "I can say I'm a clever person but always lost my temper. Through Chen, I successfully changed my view of life and learned more communication skills.”

Cheung's former boyfriend Nicholas Tse also has a leading role in "The Promise."Cheung said, "The relationship is over. We are still good friends, which doesn't hurt in co-starring. Nicholas is wonderful in the production and he has made great progress in acting. I think he looks like Leslie Cheung."

i agree with you, she is way too skinny. i also liked her a lot better in her earlier years, but i'm still a fan of hers.
