This was the comeback movie for Dodo Cheng in the movie industry and I wonder why she chose this one...this movie was a mess! I did not find it funny at all.

if it weren't for the cast, i'd doubt anyone would watch the movie

I personally didn't enjoy this movie because I thought it would be a really good comedy but it turned out to be kinda... well lame...
although the only thing that kept me watching was miriam ^^

It was a fresh movie with a great selling point: talking about a reality show
They have chosen a great combination of actors.
Dodo and Tsang Zi Wai were really funny in the movie
As well as Miriam and Eason, a great couple .

I liked it pretty much.

1. It had Miriam =D
2. "Jung Jee Wai" Is always dead funny.
3. Do Do Jeh is always so strict and funny and movies.

it was funny in the begining until it got all emotional, y they alwasy have to do this? why cant they just make it all comedy instead , always have to add a little sadness to it?

i liked it a lot. kind of messy, as one of you guys said, but it was still really fun to watch. especially the pepper chicken soup part. and when i first saw Dodo's rocker boyfriend, i thought he was her son. lmao. they didn't look like they belonged together at all.

frugal game show is nice!! i love it! partly because miriam is in it. haha

I just watched this movie last week. It was funny. i like the part when they have to eat instant noodles.. Dodo eats most of the noodles.. haha so funny..

i thought it was pretty good.. but the in game show sets were a bit cheesy

I have this on VCD and saw it a couple times. It's pretty good for a laugh the first time I saw it. I think the only reason I got it was Miriam was in it, lol. I found it pretty funny how they went around the stores trying to eat free samples and washing in the bathrooms.

Funny flick! The concept is fairly original with cheapest family contest but with Dodo Cheng playing the out-of-work ex-boss of Eric Tsang who had fired him. Also part serious with economic downturn at the time and part scathing commentary on the so-called reality shows.

this is indeed a new idea.....frugal game....i wonder why this game is not made into a real reality game show. Maybe its just too cruel.....haha.....eason is definitely funny in this movie.

Not that bad a movie I think. I didnt find it that funny, although it was funny at times. Entertaining though. It's worth watching, but dont know about buying (I'm saying this when I bought it on vcd...)

Dodo Cheng had such an annoying character here. Eric Tsang was really good. The scene where he carried Miriam to hospital was really touching. But I thought it was quite nonsense how Miriam appeared as Miriam's mother in the end of the show and ruined their victory in the game. I gotta say that Miriam could have done a better job as the mother, she was not convincing and it was not really funny as well.

i saw this over the weekend. hehe. Bought this vcd when i went bak to hk over the summer.
pretty funny though, how they all have to spend less money. hehehhes.

oh and that part i found funny was when they all went on a bus and pretending they forgot their money or something so they can have a life to the nest stop. lmao. hahhaha.

frugal game my dream come true: did u see wayne lai's family only eat bread & crumbs & drink water. one meal a day. they sleep for like 15 hours. eric tsang's family eat like hot pot: and, dodo wears leather and boots. the funniest thing is they are a deceptive family. a laugh, is a recommendation. this movie
