The F4 ad on Pepsi Blue pictures is just a page back i think.
Ken and Vanness are alright with english.
Jerry and Zai arent as good, but im pretty sure they can understand

F2 "shines" Gu Tian Le's shoes in secret birthday party
Yan Cheng Xu offers a kiss, ZaiZai shudders at the prospect

Gu Tian Le, Yan Cheng Xu and Zhou Yu Min attended the Pepsi Blue Storm 615 Overture activity. Gu Zai often tease Yan Cheng Xu and ZaiZai's inaccuracy in speaking Cantonese. When the host asked Yan Cheng Xu and ZaiZai what they think of Gu Zai, ZaiZai said in Mandarin: "Shuai ge, very stylish and dashing, "I've seen him playing a big condor." Yan Cheng Xu said immediately, "He's a mystical condor!" Yan Cheng Xu gave him a thumbs up sign and said in Cantonese, "He's a 'leung' zai", ("leung" zai means "feminine boy" in Cantonese) instead of "leng" (which is the correct term meaning "good-looking"). Gu zai laughingly said, "I don't know if their saying I'm a "leung" (feminine) zai or "shuai" ge?" (pronounced with the 1st intonation which means "unlucky" instead of the correct 4th intonation 'shuai' to mean "good looking".)

Praising their charm greatly

Gu zai continues, "While filming the commercial I teach them Cantonese, and they teach me Mandarin. They say that I'm a "leung" zai and a "shuai" ge, The four of them (indicating F4) of course are all very 'leung' zai lah, very charming and appealing, these 4 young men are all so full of life." ZaiZai indicates Gu zai and says that, "He 'gau' (taught) me a lot." (ZaiZai mispronounced the intonation of the word "gau", which then had a sexual connotation.) Gu zai, hearing it, immediately says, "Please be careful in saying that!"

ZaiZai celebrated his 24th birthday last week. Gu zai and Yan Cheng Xu asked ZaiZai to distribute gifts to the audience on purpose that night. When ZaiZai turns to go back to the stage, he saw them bringing out cakes to celebrate his birthday. The entire audience sang the birthday song together, causing ZaiZai to be extremely surprised. Yan Cheng Xu smeared cake generously on ZaiZai's face, and gave a birthday kiss for ZaiZai, but ZaiZai actually shuddered. He said, "My birthday wish is to have good health, and that everyone will support F4, Gu Tian Le and Pepsi. Thank you to my brothers for the support." Yan Cheng Xu then said, "You didn't take a bath today! You smell!"

Moreover, speaking of the rumours that Sammi Cheng is ill, ZaiZai and Yan Cheng Xu both espressed that they didn?ft believe it. Gu zai then said, "Every time there's a rumour that she's sick, a while later you see her coming out to work, so I don't believe it and I'm not worried about it." When ZaiZai was asked about working together with "Lian Sheng" Park Eun-hye, he said, "It hasn't been carried out yet. I'd be very happy if we could work together. She acted very well in Dae Jang Geum."

Yesterday ZaiZai fans faxed a letter of complaint to the sponsors (Pepsi), stating that since that ticket distribution in that night's activity was supposed to be "fair", why is it that the seats in front facing the stage were all the fans of Gu zai and Yan Cheng Xu? And ZaiZai fans were all assigned seats at the back far away from the stage, causing the ZaiZai fans to feel much regret and incomprehension about how Pepsi made that kind of arrangement.

Went back to Taiwan yesterday

In addition, Yan Cheng Xu and ZaiZai went back to Taiwan yesterday. The two arrived at the airport at around 11:45 am. There were near a hundred fans waiting. During that there were fans who screamed often and went up to them to take photos, making the scene very chaotic. But Yan Cheng Xu and ZaiZai's were in a very good mood. ZaiZai would even smile often and wave goodbye at the fans.

Yup yup.. Vanness speaks excellent English cos he was born and bred in the USA, Ken's English is quite good as well as he studied in Singapore for 8 years, and Jerry's picking it up rather well, I heard him once in an interview in the Philippines speaking English here and there, and Zaizai... LOL. He's just too shy to utter a word of English usually... but he does attend English lessons at school. lmao.gif Hope that helped!

Louis Koo and F4 turned into birdmen
Their first time alliance is formed under a sci-fic setting

Followed on Pepsi’s 9-stars commercial in Jordan last year, 5 top artists, Louis Koo and F4 allied first time for this year’s brand new Pepsi commercial, the Birdman rescue.

In order to exhibit the Flaming Hell and the Blue Birdman world in this rescue episode, trillions has invested in this commercial. The current production is even in a much larger scale than the 9-stars venture. The 5 super stars confronted with new challenges that they have never come across. The most advanced computer visual technology is being adapted, turning them into the super charm free flying birdman. A globally well-known production company from South Africa, and the famous director Ou Yang Zhi Wei jointly produces the entire advertisement. The South African experts even traveled to Hong Kong to supervise the shooting.

The South African expert expressed, “Pepsi’s commercial episode, the Rescue, adapted the most advanced technologies which specialized on sci-fic shooting from Hollywood. There were only two movies ever used this technique before even for Hollywood productions. One of them is the latest showing named “Sin City”. The application on commercial shooting is believed to be a breakthrough premiere attempt. The design and computer graphics on the Flaming Hell, Blue Birdman family and the Blazing Eagle alone had spent for six months to complete. Most surprisingly, all 5 Pepsi super stars took part in all the action and birdman flying filming. That was a difficult challenge to the artists, especially for Louis Koo and his role Lan Wu Ji. It was a real challenge on his acting skills and endurance. I was deeply impressed looking at him suffering from wounds yet insists for perfection. Vanness’s responses are as good as the top-class action stars.”

Taking the role of Land Wu Ji, Louis Koo comment, “First time shooting Pepsi Ad, I won’t say it’s over exhausted but rather feel hurting a little bit. In this story, I was trapped in a cage. Entire body is being fastened by pipes and hung in a birdcage. The neck, the limbs, the waist were being chained by 7 groups of metal-cuffs that were connected to several air pipes. The metal-cuffs are very heavy and can only be opened by 6-angle key. Moreover, I have to hang in the middle of air for 10 hours, causing numerous wounds and bleeding. In one of the shoots, all the pipes around me had to be broken. Unfortunately the shooting did not go smoothly. I have to re-take for so many times. Finally, we succeeded to take them down satisfactory. We all applauded. That was really exaggerated. Did you notice my facial expression in it was so real? In fact I was in real pain. I had worked on a movie that adapted with many stunts. However, it seems quite different from this assignment which accomplished 100% by computer effects. That is very difficult. I learn that only two movies has attempt in Hollywood. One of it is Sin City.”

Zaizai (Vic Zhou) said, “When I watched the ad yesterday, I was so shocked. That is excellent. F4 have not been worked together for a long time. This time we gathered for Pepsi. Because the production is so serious and complex, we seldom frolic around and worked in a tense atmosphere. All four of us were so serious getting focus into the job. It was only on the last part when 5 of us shoot together. It was very funny fighting to each other.”

Vanness’ (Wu Jian Hao) interpretation, “ We did not expect the wings would be graphic so real. All four of us are so serious to get ready for it. That was the first time all of us going for body training for the purpose of commercial shooting.”

Jerry (Yan Chen Xu) added, “I believe no one can get a perfect guess on who is the Blazing Eagle. I was so shocked when I first found out. I believe it will draw broad attention. Pepsi is really amazing. Soon, the Pepsi family will have a new brother.”

Ken (Chu Xiao Tian) expressed, “This time, the wires are not set too high. We won’t be seriously injured even we fell. So it is not that scary this time. In one of the scenes, Zaizai and I were attacked by the Blazing Eagle. Jerry and Vanness come to save us. That was very special. Unfortunately, we have to film it separately and get them combined by complex techniques. I don’t quite understand it. I heard the motions, the bodies and the heads cannot be perfect combined. So it won’t be shown on the film. That’s too bad.”

The stunning full version of the commercial will be premiered June 24 at 8pm on CCTV channel 1 and major TV channels nationwide simultaneously. A mysterious role, the Blazing Eagle who guarded the Flaming Hell and imprisoned Louis Koo, has been introduced on the 615 premiere episode. Who will that be? Will the Blue Birdman family be able to rescue the Blazing Eagle which had been corrupt by the Flaming Hell and free it from the evil power? This mysterious story is awaited to present its next surprise!

Recently, F4’s Yan Cheng Xu and Chu Xiao Tian are both shooting on movies. Apart from this, Jerry carries warm friendly smiles to welcome others whereas Ken Chu faces emotional ups and downs. Sometimes his moods fluctuate strangely. Despites, both are very professional to their jobs.

Couple days ago, CTV’s new drama “The Great White Tower” (Bai Se Ju Ta) had just rolled out its official shooting. Jerry Yan showed up in his casual sports suits with a baseball cap in an early morning. He also carried a big suitcase which was fully packed with clothes and shoes.

In the past, Jerry always gave others a distant impression, just like an elegant noble. Dai Li Ren, Zhang Gou Zhu, Zhang Fu Jian and many others tend to evaluate on him. They finally realized that this boy is not that difficult to deal with as it said in the rumor. In the contrary, he is polite and humorous. That relieved all from worries.

In addition, Jerry is very thoughtful. Often when clothing received from fashion sponsors are not fit in his size or may not be suitable for him to wear, he will pass them to other actors. Such a caring “Big Kid” deeply impressed many with his warm comfort.

Not long ago, under the original writer Hou Wen Yon’s arrangement, Jerry went for his “intern” at the emergency unit. After looking at real life cases, he anxiously inquired, “When we shoot, do we also have to be so ‘bloody’? ” Hou Wen Yong told him, “No need but at least we have to express it just like a professional”.

Jerry is a very shy person. However, he feels completely worry-free under the guidance of director Cai Yue Xue. He privately told his colleagues, “Director Cai is my benefactor. He is very thoughtful and knows me well. Communicating with him gives me a peace of mind.”

Ken Chu is filming the movie “Far East International Great Trial”, collaborating with Ceng Jiang, Liu Song Ren and Lin Xi Lei in recent. He is only a youngster among all these experienced. Perhaps he gets too involved into his role. His emotion fluctuated ups and downs. According to some staffs, when Ken’s mood suddenly changes, he would say, “I don’t want to shoot”, rendering the crew in helpless.

A few months ago, Ken clashed with a fan in a restaurant. When filming “The City of Sky” last year, he also annoyed by over-excited fans who kept taking pictures of him. There was one time when he went to the gym. He yelled at the staffs when he lost his wallet. Now he has to work with these seniors. Although he is no longer over-react, his emotion remains unstable, making others to hold back from him.

Simon, the chief crew coordinator of “Far East International Great Trial” clarified that Ken is just relatively less concerned about his image. Looking from a different point of view, he is actually very “amiable”. He could suddenly lie down on floor to sleep without taking too much concern on others’ impression. I talked to him. Ken said he used to work on backstage and had undergone several difficulties. Hence he can sleep anywhere.

Simon said Liu Song Ren and Ceng Jiang have a chat with Ken. Originally they thought F4 are not easy to get along. In fact, they are very friendly. Simon indicates that Ken’s only drawback is “he likes to browse through supermarkets”. He is so famous. If he browses around in Beijing’s supermarket, we have to send out four bodyguards to protect him. That could take as an unusual drawback.

ZZ earns more than Bao Long, king of F4

ZZ accepts Angie Cai's new drama "Silence" for a sky-high price, defeating comrade Jerry Yan and becoming the king of Taiwan dramas.

A few days ago a magazine reported that Jerry accepted "White Tower" for $250,000 per episode. They also indicated that Angie purposely made difficulties for Cai Yue Xun, the producer of "White Tower," offering $400,000-500,000 per episode. But the fact is Yao Yi Jun manages Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu. She is the one that decides on dramas and pay. Angie said yesterday (June 30), "I'm about to start the filming of my new drama 'Silence' and I want ZZ to be the lead. I still have to discuss with Yao Jun. I have to give ZZ such a high pay, how can you say I'm making it difficult for Director Cai."

According to reports, for "Silence" ZZ is receiving $250,000 per 60min episode, higher than the media's report about Jerry receiving $250,000 per 90min episode for "White Tower."

Regarding Jerry's earnings, the person in charge of "White Tower" Ao Jun Yi expressed, "I can't tell the exact amount that Jerry is receiving but the media's report is lower by a lot. Even what Dai Li Ren is earning is higher than that. What they are really receiving is a lot higher than what has been reported. But they are already doing us a big favor, they are very considerate. Their earning are based on what we prefer."

F4's Japanese pictorial is strikingly cool

F4 will be officially attacking the Japanese market in July. Thousands of signatures were gathered to establish an international fanclub, an F4 film festival will be launched for several months and they'll be publishing a Japanese pictorial in the middle of the month. In the recent pictorial pictures released, F4 became "chao nan," vowing the snatch every girl's heart.

Entering July, F4 are joining forces to attack the Japanese marke. After "Meteor Garden's" broadcast in Japan an F4 upsurge aroused. Earlier in Tokyo, Osaka and other places a "Meteor Garden Exhibition" was well received. F4 also especially went to Japan to meet the local media. Now, with thousands of fans' signatures, F4's international fanclub has been established. For now the name is F4ever. Over 100,000 fans are estimated to join the fanclub.

Following the "Meteor Garden Exhibition," from July 2nd to August 25th the "F4 Film Collection 2005" will be held in Tokyo. F4's movies will be shown as well as their Taiwan and HK concerts. This will include Jerry Yan's "Magic Kitchen," Vanness Wu's "Star Runner," and Ken Chu's "Sky of Love." 4 sessions will be shown each day. Besides the concert ticket prices costing 1,000 yen (about HKD$70), the movie tickets will cost 1,800 yen (abot HKD$125). During the first week F4's first Taiwan concert "Music Party" will be broadcasted and tickets have already been sold out.

In addition, "F4 Tokyo" is F4's first Japanese Pictorial and it will be available on July 21st. The set price is 4,515 yen (about HKD$320). Online preorders are currently being accepted. According to what's known China, HK, Taiwan plus Japan preorders have already surpassed 100,000. For this pictorial F4 especially flew to various famous places in Japan, like the Tokyo Tower, to do photoshoots. In the pictures that have been released, the four's images are different from their past ones. They are dressed as "chao nan." Because it's hard for F4 to be in the same room, even though they had to do overnight photoshoots their moods were not effected. They were very playful, competing to see who was cooler. In front of the camera they showed their coolest sides. The judge was the photographer and he/she concluded that all four are tied.

To promote their pictorial "F4 Tokyo," F4 had shot cover photos for many magazines in one breath. The Japanese side is requesting that F4 go to Japan in July to attend a promotional activity for their pictorial. Because Jerry is currently busy filming the drama "White Tower," Ken is in Beijing filming the movie "The Far East International Big Trial" and ZZ and Vanness have work at hand, the chances of the four gathering in Japan is pretty slim.

Hm, I really wish they wouldn't pit the members of F4 against each other, but I suppose it's only natural for the media to do to evoke reactions from fans. ZaiZai and Jerry and Ken and Vanness are all awesome people in their own different ways.

All I can say is Jia You for all of F4!

Taiwanese band F4 succeed in opening their Japanese market. Starting 3 days ago, a F4 Film Festival is held in Japan for more than a month. Other than showing Jerry Yan’s “Magic Kitchen”, Vanness Wu’s “Star Runner” and Ken Chu’s “Sky of Love”, their first Taiwan concert “Music Party” will also be broadcast. F4’s Japanese Pictorial album “F4@Tokyo” will soon be released on July 21. Each album is selling (Japanese dollar) $4,515 yen (about HK$325). The responses are extremely good. So far, pre-orders received from Japan and China have exceed 10,000.

Hi everyone,

Well, F4 fans don't have to be restricted by age right? hehe...I'm so glad there are so many people support them. I'm a fan of Vic but the other 3 are special in their own ways, that's the reason they are famous! happy.gif'

There is no movie with more than one F4 member. They are doing movie individually, except vic, he doesn't have a movie yet. But there are so many series with all of them in it: Meteor Garden, Come to My Place, ABCDEF4... There is Love Storm (only Vic and Ken)...

F4 all da way! clapping.gif

Nicholes Tes was not angry being thrown when filming the Pepsi commercial

Nicholes Tse joined the Pepsi family. The new ad he shot with F4 and Louise Koo was planned to broadcast in mainland first. However, Hong Kong audience has not yet seen it. So he requested the producer to have it broadcast earlier in Hong Kong. The full version will be air on TV tomorrow evening as a special privilege even-though another promotion is currently in progress. The full version lasts for one minute. It will fulfill the audience longing all at once.

Something happened during the shot. In one of the scenes, Nicholes had to be hung on wires in the middle of the air and dash towards the ground. Staffs worried he would get hurt so did not exert on full strength. Despites, Nicholes reminded the others not to hold back. Just do what it had to be. Hence, he ended up being a “Ta Sheng Yu”(a smashed piece). He was being thrown a few times yet without even gave a groan.

Phuket plans tsunami ‘party’

Phuket authorities are planning a big bash on December 26 to commemorate the tsunami and have invited old-school rocker Eric Clapton and Taiwanese boy band F4 to perform.

There are also solemn ceremonies planned during the “Light Up Patong Beach” event, including lighting 100,000 candles on the beach on the evening of 26 December.

The event will be staged one year after the tsunami struck six southern provinces, along with other parts of Asia, killing more up to 300,000 people.

Provincial chief executive Anchalee Vanich Tephabutra said the event would include ceremonies for the different faiths and religions of those who perished. Phuket would invite an Andaman Sea area artists group to organise the candlelight event.

The show is planned despite protests from hotel operators, who say the timing is bad – December 26 is in the midst of the peak tourism season. They fear such ceremonies would remind visitors of the tragedy and cast a pall over business.

However, a tourism industry source said other operators like the idea. They asked TAT to make the event as grand as Verdi’s opera “Aida” at the site of the Luxor massacre in Egypt, the impressively arranged funeral for Lady Diana, or the September 11 memorial services held each year in New York.

Some businesses also want the agency to invite Elton John to play “Candle in the Wind”, Kiri Te Kanawa to sing the “Ave Maria” and top Asian stars from China, India and Thailand to perform.

TAT said recently that Taiwanese boy band F4 and diva Coco Lee would perform at the event. Popular Thai singers and celebrities will also step on stage.

A similar event was held in April when the World Tourism Organisation hosted a recovery plan seminar attended by national tourism ministers from various countries.

Suwalai Pinpradab, director of TAT’s Phuket office, said the Authority was preparing a budget for the event.

TAT plans to organise Tsunami Memorial Day as one of a series of big events from December 25 to 28. It has invited leading event organisers in Thailand to submit proposals for organising the extravaganza.

Tourism Minister Somsak Thepsuthin is due to talk today with TAT executives and private sector representatives about plans for the event and how to proceed with Andaman recovery plans.

A Turncoat in the Cola War

Nicholas Tse has jumped ship. His contract to endorse Coca-Cola expired, and rather than renew it, he switched his allegiance to Pepsi.
He makes for a rather unconvincing spokesperson now, having claimed in ads for his former employer that he would always be true to Coke, but Pepsi must be counting on his legions of fans' unquestioning devotion to their idol.
Nicholas leaves Coke's stable of celebrities, which includes girl groups Twins and S.H.E., track star Liu Xiang, and actress Cecilia Cheung. He joins Jay Chou, Jolin Tsai, Aaron Kwok, F4, and David Beckham at Pepsi. Decide for yourself whether his coolness quotient will rise or fall.

There were signs, of course. Back in 2000 Nicholas was fraternizing with the enemy, in the form of pop princess and Pepsi representative Faye Wong. There was a minor scandal when Nic tossed a Pepsi can at paparazzi when he and Faye were making their getaway. And ever since his run-in with the law in 2002 there have been murmurs that he would leave Coca-Cola when his contract was up.

Who's next? Pepsi may have snapped Nicholas up because one of its stars, Jay Chou, has been photographed drinking a beverage made by President, a Taiwanese company.

F4 to occupy Hong Guan next year in March

The F4 heat wave will be attacking Hong Kong. Following their "reunion" in Thailand, next year in March the four will step onto the stage of Hong Guan to quence HK fans' thirsts. It's already been decided that Dong Ya Yu Le will be hosting this concert.

According to what's known, Dong Ya originally wanted to hold the concert this December so that like their concert 3 years ago, they would be spending Christmas with fans. However in December is already scheduled for an ice skating event, pushing back the date to F4's concert. It's already been 3 years since F4 held a concert in HK so tickets will surely be in high demand. Therefore F4's manager Yao Yi Jun said, "It's still not 100% certain because we're afraid that it'll affect filming schedules but there will definitely be a concert. It's only the time that isn't fixed yet." On the 21st F4 will be releasing a pictorial in Japan with Tokyo life as the theme.

Jerry Yan shocked in operation room
In addition, earlier Jerry Yan (Bao Long) accepted the Taiwan drama "White Tower." Because the original author is a surgeon the filming of operations will probably be detailed. To help Bao Long act as a doctor, besides giving him some surgery videos to watch, earlier Bao Long personally observed an operation and he described it as "very very shocked." He also said that it's already good that he's living healthily.
