Last night Niki Chow, Bosco Wong, Kevin Cheng, and others promoted their new series Under the Canopy of Love and celebrated Valentine's Day with a bunch of young fans. They played cheesey games such as breaking the ball with mouths, kneeling down to propose, and eating food games. But the interesting thing is that it stirred up some male fans to kneel and express their love to Niki. A group of male fans kneeled on the stage and shouted out 'I love you' which shocked Niki.

On stage, Niki, Kevin, and Bosco were being played like 'newcomers'. They wanted Niki to wear a necklace in front of her chest with grapes and Bosco and Kevin to rush up and eat all of the grapes. Scaring Niki, she raised her hands and covered her chest. Afterwards Niki joked, "Seeing guys rush up to my chest is scary." (Kevin kisses you but Bosco won't?) Yes, he likes to kiss guys!"

Natalie Tong and Kevin were organized to do a proposal scene and he told Natalie to think of him as the host of Jade Solid Gold (Amigo) since there were rumors about them."

When Bosco Wong attended a promotion function yesterday, Stephanie Che made a love prediction for him by saying that he will get whatever he want. They also put him on the spot and brought up the Myolie rumor!

Yesterday Niki Chow, Kevin Cheng, and Bosco Wong attended Under the Canopy of Love's dance function and Stephanie Che was the love predictor for everyone. She started off with Niki and said that some people have made her disappointed and some will break the relationship between them. Afterwards, she said, "Don't mention things from the past. (Is it accurate?) I don't want to talk about it, I want to focus on work and earn alot of money."

As with Bosco, he will get whatever he want in his love life and will be well appreciated by the girl's parents. But there might be a third party and someone will also have a crush on him at the same time. Then the Myolie rumor immediately popped up and Bosco said, "It's not related! (But it has a good result!) It is a good result, Myolie and I received great ratings. (Does someone have a crush on you?) Probably but I don't even have a second party yet so why would I have a third party?"

Kevin will be attracted to a wise lady and he was asked how long ago he didn't go out, "I usually meet up with female friends, but they don't need to be wise and beautiful. It's the matching that is the most important."

Moreover, they held a dance battle. When Ha Yue and Cho Chung was dancing Cha Cha, they almost touched each other's chest. Ha Yue immediately took his hand back, but he still had to do a hitting butt move.

"Kevin and I are very good friends; we can talk about anything. Since it is our second collaboration, we have high expectations. We let go of ourselves more. We want to give audiences something interesting to watch. To make our compatibility as a couple more convincing onscreen, there is more touching and more direct eye glances. Both of us didn't mind.

"Since filming 'Hard Fate,' Kevin has treated me like another guy. My main concern is to produce a good series. As for the kiss scene, both of us actually practiced 3 times before the cameras rolled. As a result, when the cameras were turned on, the first attempt was a good take.

"The point of the series is to romanticize Hong Kong. If the audience says, 'We wish we were like Niki and Kevin in the series!' then Kevin and I would have touched the audience successfully.

"As a result of filming 'Under the Canopy of Love,' I learned how to play the violin. I filmed all the violin scenes in the series. My violin instructor was Vincent. It turns out his daughter was born on the same day as me, so I became her godmother!"

Aside from his onscreen chemistry with Niki, Kevin shares the same point of view in love as his character in the series. "Who does not want to find their true love? Actors, like their characters onscreen, wish to find love as well. But actors have less privacy as they are in the public eye, always followed by the media. But it's hard to be like a normal person and have the same freedom to go anywhere they choose. I am afraid the media will focus too much on love relationships and not enough on career and work.

"My character Sum Long is very focused and will not give up. Once he loves a woman, he will not let go of the relationship despite misunderstandings. Even though they may have separated for some time, he will hope in getting back together again. This characteristic is similiar to me in real life, so it is like acting myself in front of the camera.

"During the filming of 'Under the Canopy of Love,' it fulfilled my sense of being in love. When the cameras were rolling, I had this feeling. If I didn't have this sense of being in love when the cameras were on, how will I be able to persuade the audience that Niki and I were in love in the series?

"But of course, I can not fall in love with a different woman each time I act in a different series. It is very important to distance yourself from these feelings once the scene is finished with, but also re-immerse yourself while the camera is rolling. I don't have this feeling each time I film, but this time I was able to feel it with Niki, probably since we had collaborated together before.

"My most memorable scene was filming in the swimming pool. Although I know how to swim, it was the first time I had to open my eyes and act while below the water."


Niki Said Kevin Is Too Handsome


Niki insisted that she will not have possibility of dating Kevin, "He is too handsome! I prefer someone who is not as attractive, as I am afraid other women will take him away from me. I don't know if Kevin is like this or not, but I need a lot of security! Haha his looks don't give me a lot of security! I prefer that my boyfriend is not so handsome!"

Despite having a good man in front of her, Niki is not afraid that she lost out on a good opportunity. "Boyfriends and friends are different. I have very high expectations of my boyfriend. I have to know someone very well before we advance to dating. But Kevin has a good quality about him; he knows how to take care of others and is a gentleman. He will treat others for meals. After filming the scene in the swimming pool, he saw that I was shivering, so he asked for towels to keep us warm. Through these instances, I found that he is very attentive to details."

When asking Niki what her ideal wedding would be like, her eyes sparkled. "Having it in a small church on a tropical island would be great, as there is the sunny beach. I love nature! Although I don't want a wedding banquet, I still want all our family and friends to be present.

"If there is no celebration for the wedding and you were to just sign your names on the certificate for marriage, then it is better not to get married. In this age, it is very common to have children before you get married. But weddings are an opportunity to gather together all your friends and have a wonderful time! Only once in a lifetime opportunity!"

As to Niki's wedding gown, she said she would do away with the traditional wedding gowns as well. "I will wear a bikini, no need for a formal wedding gown. I would like the wedding to be more sporty, where we can play beach volleyball. There will be clowns and circus acts. It will be casual, but fun. There will be a lot of kids; I would like to have several dozen or even a hundred flower girls and ring bearers. Whoever has children will bring them and they will be part of our wedding party."

Niki likes excitement so she would like to invite all the people in Hong Kong to attend her wedding party. "I want my wedding to be open; everyone is welcome. There will not be set hours; they can come anytime. Normally, even if I don't know someone, I will still attend their wedding and say congratulations! As I am happy for others, I want others to be happy for me too!"



As for Kevin's ideal girlfriend, he did not point out specific characteristics that he is looking for. "I can be a little picky, as not all types are suitable for me. I would go on a date and during dinner, try to understand the person more, including their good and bad traits. Then I will analyze whether we are compatible or not."

Since Niki and Kevin's onscreen chemistry is very compatible, how does Kevin feel about Niki in real life? "Niki has some qualities which are compatible, yet there are other points which are incompatible with what I am looking for. Her personality is more tomboyish, which is not my normal preference. But no one is perfect. When the cameras are rolling, we are a pair. But outside of that, I don't have that feeling."

Kevin has said in the past that his age is suitable for getting married. "In the past, I regarded marriage as a private matter. Simply getting a marriage certificate would be fine, or just going on a vacation together to celebrate the new marriage. But now, my thinking has changed. Most likely our parents, especially the bride's, will want more excitement and celebrations. I don't mind having more family and friends in attendance, but I don't want the wedding to become a show with a lot of entertainment acts. I want it to be simple and sweet, where the guests would be witnesses to my wedding."

Men usually do not have a lot of requirements when it comes to wedding planning. "Traditional or western style weddings? It's too far away; I haven't thought about it yet. I'll think about it when I find a girlfriend. Weddings should take into account mutual preferences. If she wants to have a Disney World fantasy wedding, I will do it. As long as the wedding is sweet, I am not particular about the format."

After attending his friends' past weddings, Kevin said, "Some grooms sing a song and serenade to their brides. I don't think I will be able to do that, as it is like a show. But I would like to make a speech on how I met my wife and why I love her. Since I am normally a quiet person, if I were to make such a speech from my heart, it would be quite sweet."

I watched it because of Nnadia Chan, as I am one of her fans. And I end up enjoying both her and Kevin as an onscreen couple, although I wished they had more romance than what was shown. I am sure others will agree with me that they did have on screen chemistry, esp since this is the first time they are paired up.

Yesterday Kevin Cheng, Niki Chow, and Bosco Wong celebrated their new series by competing in walking on 'stone mats'. The winner was Kevin carrying Niki. Bosco couldn't lift up Niki and almost caused Niki to reveal her underwear!

TVB series Under the Canopy of Love's actors celebrated the raise of their ratings. Kevin, Niki, and Bosco were there passing out flowers and played the walking on stone mat game. Kevin finished it in 11 seconds while holding on to Niki. Unexpectedly young Bosco wanted to lift Niki up but couldn't do it. He tried to imitate Kevin and used up 40 seconds. In the end, he was joked as having a weak body.

When it is said that they revealed their sides of their underwear while playing the games, Bosco joked, "It's no problem for guys! It's the 'in' thing!" Bosco was refered to as causing his health to be weak because he was focused on dating and he said, "No. It's just that I don't have Liza's lovely soup anymore. And plus Niki is tall, heavy, and big!" When he was asked whether Niki or Myolie Wu is heavier, he quickly said, "I'm currently focused on carrying Shirley Yeung and Kate Tsui for series, I don't know anything about others!"

Praised of having a good health, Kevin helped Bosco by saying, "He's very tired from filming one series after another. Unlike me, I've been exercising since I am free!"

WHILE Kenix Kwok and Frankie Lam are in a state of wedded bliss, Kevin Cheng is still looking for his Miss Right.


The 37-year-old actor revealed during the TVB Star Tour press conference that he likes watching romantic movies because he wants the same kind of love for himself.

When we brought this up during our interview with him, Kevin sighed and replied:

'I'm still in the dating stage. I have been making a lot of new friends, but I don't see myself committing to anyone just yet.'

He claims he's a picky man. He doesn't like girls who smoke or girls who are too dependent.

'I don't have the time and patience to deal with this type of girls. I'm already so busy with my work,' he explained.

And what kind of boyfriend would he be?

Recently there has been a dispute about a contract with former singing teacher Dai Sze Chung and Kevin Cheng. Yesterday Kevin returned from America and appeared with a not-so-good mood.

After the dispute incident, alot of good friends supported Kevin like TVB manager Chan Ji Wan. Kevin expressed that this has not affected his other work, but feels helpless. During the conversation, Kevin sighed many times and used his hand to cover his chest.

Kevin said, "I can't say much about the contract, but I would like to thank my family, the media, and TVB's support. (What do you feel about this?) It's very extreme. (How do you want to solve this problem?) Of course I want to solve this as soon as possible, but the truth is not like this so I will hand the case over to lawyers. (Why didn't you solve this privately?) Because the opposite parties sent an attorney to me so I just found my own lawyer!"

Regarding other contract details, Kevin did not want to mention it and and didn't answer whether he respects Dai Sze Chung as a senior. Moses Chan and Sharon Chan, who also came back from America with Kevin, greatly supports him.

Dai Sze Chung, who's nickname became 'blood-sucking zombie' because of a contract dispute, expressed yesterday that he will no longer be a manager and thinks this event is all planned. Continuing the managing generation for her father, Dai Wan Wai hopes that Kevin will confront to her and talk about terminating the contract.

Kevin Cheng and Dai Sze Chung recently has a dispute over a 13 year old contract. Named 'blood-sucking zombie', Dai Sze Chung announced yesterday that he hopes to end this grief and that he and Kevin are 'friends'. He describes the contract as filial piety from Kevin.

He thinks that someone has planned this behind the stage, but the main thing he wanted to point out was that he is no longer a manager, but is a singing teacher sitting beside a piano. To prove his friendship with Kevin, yesterday he brought out the cd that Kevin had once gave him. On the over, Kevin has written thank you notes to him and even greeted him with a close name. It is said that Dai Sze Chung had once given Kevin a white gold Rolex watch.

Now his daughter, Dai Wan Wai, will take his place, leaving her with the 'blood-sucking contract'. Yesterday she announced over the phone that she wants Kevin to come out and face her, "My father had already dropped out of this business so now it is Kevin's and my business. I want him to come out and face me, don't avoid me. I want him to answer two questions himself! One, why is he so forgetful of kindness? Two, I want him to tell me who is telling him to do all these things behind the scene even though I think I know who it is! The contract is currently in my hands and if he wants to terminate it, he will have to face me. no, kevin didn't get to chose, they girls were picked cuz they r from tvb and it promotes them more... but some singers actaully do get to pick their co-stars in mvs sometimes, like when they are like a co-producer or director of the MV..for instance, Edwin siu chose leila tong for his MV 'accept me'..thats what i heard.
