this series is hilarious, ok...despite what it is about. My friends were watching it at school and i would always watch from behind so i've probably watched about 70% of the whole thing. Now the reason why it was funny was because of the extremely excessive crying. At least one person in every single scene was crying...it got to the point for us when we were watching it to laugh every single time some one cried...we're not that senseless or anything but it made us feel really good about the whole day(its a good counter-depression therapy)

ok i admit the whole story was really sad and the ending was just tradgic...overall though its a really good series

This is actually the first Koran TV series I’ve seen and is also the saddest, I carried so badly at the ending, I think the two male characters are SO good looking. Still think it was still quite strange how they grow up as brother and sisters, yet still has a love relationship it just don’t do it for me! Those who haven’t seen it, it is highly recommended.

This is the first Korean drama I watched. Becasue of this series, I pay attention to Korean entertainments and become interested in Korean dramas. The story of Endless Love is so sad that I cried a lot while watching it.
copperkey_kulet
this is the first korean series i've watched and i heart won bin since then. i want him and shk to end up together.
Kayem
This was also my first Kdrama, and it made me fall in love with SHK and Korean entertainment (Love Letter killed my love for kdrama in 2003 and I didn't watch another kdrama for 3 years!). This is still probably one of the most beloved kdramas out there, it's been out for over 5 years and it's still talked about.

This is my first korean series i watched and loved it. The actresses and actors are beautiful. I didn't even know that korean people are so beautiful and the guys so handsome and tall. Also, I love their language...it sounded almost French...quiet, and not too loud compare to the chinese (mandarin) language.

What made this series successful is I think: The soundtrack, the songs played in this series are so mezmerising. Also, the fresh green landscape in the country side of korea. Also, beautiful people in this series.

The ending was tragic - at least it was different from what i've watched.

I later became frustrated when other series "copied" this series ending such as "Stained glass" and "Winter sonata". Suicide isn't right and most korean drama seem to promote it. Life is precious, and we shouldn't waste our life.
kimchispice27
this is the first korean drama that i've ever seen! hehehe

i even don't know the names of the lead actors yet at that time because the series i watched was in tagalog dubbing.

in this series, i saw my first korean crush, won bin, my first korean idol, song hye kyo and my first hatest korean villain, han chae young! hahaha!

i love this series! made me cry a lot! biggrin.gif

i've finished watchin this last week and god! it is sooo SAD!!!! i started crying from the second episode, yes tht is how sad it was, but then again it may be just me XDlol but there are so many characters i hate in here eg. Shin-ae (though she reddemed herself at the end), Eun-suh's bro (i still hate him, because he is such a jerk, worse than a jerk actually...), Yumi's mom (well, she is just annoying..) but most of all i hate YUMI!!!! gosh she is the most annoying of them all!!!!! she is such a manipulative woman!!! XD lol trust me you'll hate her too after you watch it XD lol i thought one of the saddest scene was:

(highlight to view spoiler)^__^
***********************SPOILER*************************************

XD

...when Eun-suh asked Joon-suh to spend time with her for just 6 months and he sorta said no, because of yumi >P, and then eun-suh was like, "you can spend you whole life with yumi, but i only want 6 months!" i didn't like joon suh in this episode XD lol but i guess he didn't know about eunsuh's sickness and that she is gonna die i guess... haiz...but still....

**************************SPOILER END********************************

i kinda pity won bin though....he loves eun-suh so much it is sad XD lol overall this is a great uhh weepy drama lolXD

Okay. I only started watching this show like this year which is very late. But I think its very touching and had such a tragic ending. So unlike other korean series with romantic and happy endings. There is definitely an unexpected twist to the story.
beengoanngoan
It was not the first Korean drama I've watched. But its the first one with someone having cancer in it! biggrin.gif After this drama, there are countless of series about people with cancer!

I just finished Autumn Tale...

My my... in this drama, it has several factors that gives me reasons to hate Kdrama blink.gif

1) Such a weird plot, but nevertheless, it's entertaining
2) ZOMFG draggy and dramatic O_O"
3) Why don't they just.. get to the point. OMG.. it took 50 freaking min to make them meet again after 9 years O_o"
4) Why does almost every freaking Kdrama, has a person that has to die O_O" Omg... those Koreans are cruel!

I heared this drama is very sad etc.. tearjerkers. Hmm, na-ah. It didn't make me cry once O_O Maybe it's me, but just think this drama is pure incest >.< Eventhough they're not bloodrelated O_O It's so disgusting in a way.
Another disappointment for me in the Kdrama-world ._. The only Kdrama that made me cry was "A love to kill". But I think that's because of the OST ¬¬

*sigh* What drama could make me like Korean Entertainment sleep.gif

AIMH was so good! i think its comparable to STH. and won bin... ahh!! won bin is so hot! i cant stop watching videos of won bin on youtube now. he looks great in the missha lipstuck commmercial! i dont think its draggy! i thought it was pretty fast actually, by korean standards.
misspinky
this was my first korean series. i rewatched it a couple times now and i cry. this has got to be the saddest series i will ever watch. the other series, i became immue to it but seriously this series is such a tearjerker, if you didn't cry, it was as if you were coldblooded =/
goodidae
my very 1st k-drama tt i've watched! watched it when i was 12? the scenery was really 1st-class n the storyline rocks! i practically cried in almost every episode...

nowadays tt r many sad k-dramas tt simply "imitate" the script in autumn tale, but i think autumn tale always the best... touching drama
B.D

It's true that this was a really sad drama. The music and sceneries add sadness to the theme. It was really heartbreaking. down.gif

even though i kind of agree, i wouldnt put it so... exaggerated (^ ^wink.gif even though that's only my opinion.

it did kinda feel a bit 'incesty' because they'd grown up together and everything, so that was weird, and it was WAY too draggy and boring

you'd probably like goong, my FAVE drama of all time

This series is one of the best korean series i have watch. It wasnt my first korean series i have watched but it was my first time seeing song hye kyo. She looks so pretty here. i've become her fan ever since but the ending was so sad.sad-smiley-065.gif

I loved this drama soo much when I was little. I think i watched it when I was like in 5th or 6th grade. =] So I decided to watch it again like this summer. Because of this drama, my first k-celeb crush was developed. Wonbin<3 and he's still my celeb crush! OFFTOPIC, anyways.

This was my first korean drama I think. I wanted SHK's character to get with Wonbin's chracter, but then at the sametime I wanted her to be with SSH's character. Both male characters are hot. And the sister was starting to bug me a lot. I crieed a lot during the beginning and ending. I cried in the beginning was becuase of the teenage SHK's character had to leave SSH's teenage character. I found that sooo soo sad. =[ And in the end because SHK's character died on SSH's characters back. ='[ And he died too.

MUST WATCH drama even if it's old.
MUST MUST WATCH!
Bwear
I don't know if I should watch this, but it looks soo dramatic and draggy.. I agree with Bkanishi, somehow it does feel disgusting, although they're not bloodrelated. I really like tearjerkings.. I have watched a bit of the end when the male lead was hit by a car.. I didn't cry, I even laughed. I know, it sounds absolutely mean, but the way how he was hit was just funny tongue.gif
nickynisa
i watched this series few years ago.. my sis even bought the vcd.. i don't really like this drama.. yeah.. it's a sad story, good acting skill but too draggy..

i hate SSH after watching this drama whistle.gif .. i don't get it why he must fall in love with eun suh.. he is eun suh's brother.. i can't accept it.. from brother-sister relationship turned to love.. ??? weird..

i like won bin's character, tae suhk.. he loved eun suh and take care of her till the end.. so sweet.. it's better for eun suh to end up with him rather than his brother..
.just_smile*
this drama wos my first kdrama . i watched it like when i`m around...8 or 9 years old.. i reallyyy like it ! the first time i watched it , i barely understood it but i still cried in the sad scenes xD . Ending is tooo sad tho ;_; i watched it over for about 10 times
!o_O i highly recommend it !!! clapping.gif i had to use up one box of tissues each time ..
blackxmoon
I loooooove this series! It's so sad weeping.gif I really think Tae-suhk would've been better for Eun-suh, like their personalities are the opposite of each other so they would've suited each other....... It was so sad!!! The ending is so tragic though......... Yeah, I liked Tae-suhk's character too.... he really genuinely and sincerely loved Eun-suh, oh well, so did Joon-suh, only he already had Yumi anyway... That was so sad how she died on the beach... weeping.gif
blackxmoon
Where did you guys watch this??!?!?!?! I thought everyone would know them by their real names, i.e Jenny=Eun-Suh, Johnny=Joon-suh, and Tae-suhk and Shin-ae!!!!
ssusan
i have only finish like 1/3rd of this series, but it's okay. i agree, i prefer her with won bin. I didn't really like the fact that they were first brother and sister and then later knew that they aren't and was so deeply inlove, well the brother knew, but anyway, i like the rest of the series just not that part.
youna_sakura
Well, "Endless Love" is the 1st Korean drama hit that is so successful that makes every part of world to watch crazily for other Korean dramas nowadays. Overall "Endless Love" is very romantic drama. But, I don't recommend to watch the 2nd time for those who can cry easily. As for me, I do cry again and again even if I watch 2nd or 3rd time.
JumboJimmy
There's this interview clip with won bin in it....

Could someone here translate why won bin is giggle? what did he say that makes him laugh at the end, please?

I can't seem to find where the translator forum is located.

I've watched this series three/four years ago. It was pretty much the first korean series I've watched. I loved it. The story line was great.. The character played by SHK was excellent. The actress' and actors was good looking too. I cried so much during this series. Very tragic.. The only thing negative thought I have on this series is at the end it got a little bit dragging... But overall great tragic series.

I've been looking for good Korean series to watch and came across this.. and I read the synopsis of this and I've actually seen it before! Well, my mum saw it like 6 years ago.. but I remember watching parts of it.. Well.. I think it's this series since it totally matches the description of it... Imma go rewatch it again =) I remember that Song Hye Kyo looked really pretty in this... However, I don't remember the ending.. I hope it's a happy one.. =S

I've heard of all the ravings and sadness of this drama, and I only got started watching it today.

So far, I think it's pretty good. The storyline is definitely interesting, and totally something Korean people would do. It's really amusing as hell, and I'm totally hooked.

LOVE THIS DRAMA!!! much love to the main character girl! she is so beautiful!!!!

The director did a good job to kill off Yun Hei and Jun Hei, because at least, they can finally be together without facing discrimination from families and society.

i have to agree with you on that part because i rather want them to be together as well. unlike "tree of heaven" where one lived and the other didn't...totally killed it for me!

its a must watch! very sad. i just wished that they would extend the ending a little bit. i feel so sad for won bin's character...he finally knows what life and love is after being such a playboy for so long!!! weeping.gif

some people really love this drama...No offense guys but I like Won Bin to be with the main girl than the main guy. I like the cast, but I feel like their love story kind of wrong even though they are not real brother and sister. But they have lived as brother and sister for 15 years if consider the age the girl known her identity. If you once day found out that your brother is not relate to you, would you fall in love with him or just treat him as your brother??? I definitely would not fall in love...

hey you are intitled to your own opinion. i actually wanted won bin to end up with the girl as well because she changed him for the better. showed him how to care, and showed him what life is really like and how it can be taken for granted.

its an extremely touching issue which its really sad how now the parents have to live with the fact that they made the wrong decision when they left that girl behind. it was pressure and guilt.

i do understand that the mother did ask the girl to come with her when she goes to the states, but then it was unfair to her because she knew that real daughter would hate her and be mean to her...

it ended really well, but won bin, i would have wanted to see what happens to him. to lose the love of his life for the first time, and a best friend...since he himself said that he doesn't know how to live on... weeping.gif

this series is the real epitome of the word drama. but among other drama's
Autumn In My Heart is really touching, and sad. though the ending is
heartbreaking,i'm contented with it. life doesn't always have a happy ending.
VAN3SSAx
This was my first drama series!!!! =] I think its similiar to me, my family and cousins as well. lol. Well to me its my first, maybe to them its one of the first fews. Anyways, this drama series got us so adddicted to it. This was also sad too. I felt bad for Won Bin, he was the guy I favored. lol. But something that really bothered me was the 'brother and sister' thing. I know, they arent related at all, but the fact that they grew up like a family, it seemed a little 'incest' to me. Overall, this was a good drama series.
VINTAGECHARM
It's so old, haha i remember watching it back then .. it was my first real kdrama
Autumn tale is a real classic haha .. i could swear because of autumn tale, the cancer/ person dies plot got really famous lol. haha

didn't like han chae young though, her make up was horrible o_O
akaime
oh......this was probably the first korean drama that i watched. funny, how i came across this series, i was flipping through channels, and came to a chinese channel and watched autumn in my heart in mandarin w/ chn subs. from then on, i got hooked onto korean dramas
mashimaro1987
the ending is pretty sad....but kinda left u wonder whether the male character survived or died in the car accident

OMG... eun-suh gets on my nerve... i've only seen the HMONG VERSION (with wrong translation) so i always thought tae-sukh was annoying but when i finally saw the ORIGINAL KOREAN VERSION... i felt so bad for him... he's so hot and his sad face.. OMG!!! i really can't stand it... i know what happens at the end so i jux wanna skip to the end ..

QUOTE(lilliums @ Jan 31 2004 10 13 PM)
Haha, i felt sorry for him too, but i wanted her together with song seung hun more. i mean, they're practically destined for each other. although it was nice how she was the one who changed Won Bin's life. i thought one of the saddest parts was when she died on song seung hun's back...::sob::...i cried over that part for a while. down.gif

yea i wanted them together too but they could've made eun-suh and tae-sukh a loving couple b4 joon-suh came back into her live.. then i wouldn't have felt so bad for tae-sukh becuz at least he had her for a moment:crying:

JOON SUH and EUN SUH's relationship was kinda weird because they started liking each other even b4 the accident... when they were still one happy family.. weird!!! it wouldn't been nice if they met up again ad adults then feel in love.. but as kid siblings??? anyways WON BIN... i luv you.. infatuated.gif

This was the first Korean series that I managed to watch from start to end. Fell in love with Song Hye Gyo and then eventually Korean series. It actually made me shed a few tears, especially during the beginning episodes of the conflicted soul of Song Hye Hyo's character's childhood, which mother to follow, the one who raised me or the one who gave birth to me. Such touching scenes and powerful emotions. Watching this series makes me think twice about adopting kids, what if they grow up and end up the same and start falling in love with each other. Scary. Nontheless, this series is now part of my Korean drama collections.
MadHatter
^ well, the parents didn't adopt the kids, it just so happens they got switched by accident in the hospital. what you should be worried about is the hospital switching your child when you have one.

what does adopting have to do with it??? did you even follow the storyline of the drama??
