just in case you guys don't know. the girl who played the switched daughter who ended up in the poor house when she was supposed to be in the rich family has died in real life on September 7th 2007 from a brain tumor i read up some where

yeah, i've read about it on Fanatics New. i can't believe it myself, she passed away at such a young age...... its heartbreaking..... i realised she starred in Autumn as one of the characters, but i wasn't sure who she played..... now i know....

my condolences goes to her familiy & friends......... i hope they realise what a brave young lady their daugther is......... she is a true star...........

when i first watched Autumn, i was only around 11 or 12 years old, but i remember the story very well......... & recently i've been re-watching it on YouTube....its bringing back loads of memories....

but the strange thing is that when i first watched it, i remember wanting Joon Suh and Eun Suh to be together, because you can see that they were meant to be & r perfect 4 each other, but NOW, after the re-run, my thoughts HAVE CHANGED...... i want Eun Suh to be with Tae Sukh

i just felt that the connection & later the relationship that Tae Sukh & Eun Suh developed were new & present & he gave her something new for the future (to look forward to)............ all her memories, both old & new of Joon Suh were of / based on the past, when they were young...... this in other words mean that they were re-living past memories & trying to re-kindle those feelings again...

true, they did have that connection back again after so many years of separation, but i just wanted Eun Suh to develop a new relationship where she could be happy & healthy - as her memories of the past were happy & good, but only to an extended point before it turned into sadness & pain

secrectly, i wanted Eun Suh & Tae Sukh to have dated & developed something good, before she meet Joon Suh again....... THEN that would be a new drama of its own - & in the end she would choose to be with Tae Suhk & not dieing

now, that would be perfect & i could see Eun Suh & Tae Sukh being a really good & cute couple...... in Autumn, they just had the best scenes together, delivering a prefect & memorable preformance, making viewers wanting them to be a couple in the series.....

this is my first k-dramas...the one that makes me loved korean dramas...
this series is so good...but very sad...
i remember i cried almost every episode...

the first korean drama i ever watch is 'Autumn in my heart"
i still remember the drama was bought by my mother to let me watch abroad
very touching movie and it did make a big hit in the world

hahahahah, this was my first korean series i eva watched too! its the one that really stuck to me. the ending was so sad though. but the plot was quite good. its a pity they never got together...

This is only the 2nd K-Drama I've seen, even though it was sad I didn't really cry, I was choked up in parts...I think it may be the fact that the last 5 or 6 things I've watched have involved the female lead dying young with of some sort of disease which harsh on this because this was the first one of the lot in terms of when it was made.

Anyway, I thought it was a good drama and it definitely made me want to watch the next episode straight afterwards...I did watch the whole thing in 3 days. The series did really make me think about what I'd do if I were in their situation, it seemed they were too reluctant to switch them back so easily, you're not told how long it was between them swapping and when they went to America because in reality, it would never be that easy.

Yeah, very sad to hear about Lee Ae Jung even if I didn't know about her til now...R.I.P.

I wanted Song Hye Gyo to end up with Won Bin too. His character is so sweet. Man If i have a guy like that i would never ever let him go. Why does it seems that all the supporting male actors are always sweethearts but the main girls never goes for them instead go for the one that cause her so much pain.

for some reason i think they made song hye kyo look really bad her because she look so pretty in her modeling pictures!!

I agree 100% on this point.....though I love Autumn Tales, the ending was such a dissapoinment....when I found out that not only Eun Suh going to die, she's also choosed to love Joon Suh instead of Tae Suhk, I gave up watching altogether...becos to me it didn't portray love but stubburness instead.....

But lately I began to watch the show again,I still didn't like the ending but I watched just so I can enjoy the tug-war relationship between Tae Suhk & Eun Suh....

As I rewatching again, I still can't feel the love between Eun Suh & Joon Suh as lovers but more like sibblings....It's very hard to understand how they could say that they're each other's 1st love when the 1st 13 years of her life, Eun Suh WASN'T even adopted by the Yoon's family....She was their FLESH & BLOOD until that fateful day when she had the accident and her blood didn't match the Yoons....

It was understandable that after Euh Suh was cruelly seperated with her Yoon family, she missed her mother & her brother badly...afterall she's the baby of the family, treated like a princess by mom & dad, pampered by big brother...and all of a sudden she has to live a hard life with a stern mother, who seems like she didn't care and a thug of a brother who will have no 2nd tot of hitting her if things went wrong....therefore she will escape in her own fantasy just to find courage to continue living her hard life.....

As for the Yoon's mother, she mises her Eun Suh, the baby and the daughter she care & nurse since birth, no matter what's the truth, Eun Suh IS her baby girl....she was so sad & miserable that she was sick for almost all the time they were in U.S. And daddy Yoon was no different too...he misses Eun Suh too, though he tried hard to hide it for the sake of Shin Ae, so much so that he forbid any of them speaking about Eun Suh....Brother Joon Suh was no different too...he was as badly affected as his mother...only that he has to pretend to be strong....he especially missed her becos they spend most of their time together....It's like when you're with your brother, quarelling with each other, then one day, he went to stay with granny for a few days, and you start getting bored and misses him and want him to come back.....

Joon Suh got close to Yumi becos of the 'Tree' thing....but there must be sumthing about her that he likes that made him proposed to her....If he didn't love Yumi and he is love with someone else why the heck did he propose to her....He's rich and able, why the heck didn't come back looking for Eun Suh sooner....why wait until the verge of his engagement to come loooking for her...I'm sorry but I found Joon Suh weak and indecisive and self centred...It wud have been a better story if when Eun Suh & Joon Suh met again they didn't know & recognised each other...After they have fallen in love, only then they realised that she WAS his sister before...that wud be more believable...

Sure Joon Suh loves Eun Suh very much and misses her terribly....but he is not in love with her....Upon meeting her again he wanted to spend as much time as possible as to make up the lost time between then but unfortunately he has no freedom to do as he likes since he is engaged, and no matter how understanding his fiancee is, she is still jealous of Eun Suh since she knew that Eun Suh is no blood relation of him....That's what make things even harder and complicated for both JS & ES.....Unlike his parents who can be with Eun Suh at anytime of the day..or at least, Eun Suh cud simply look for her Yoon Mom at every oppunity she finds....

As the story goes, I prefer Tae Suhk's love for Eun Suh....so sincere, honest & unselfish...from a total Royal jerk to an unselfish lover, he was the one who understand the real meaning of True Love....I can't believe that Eun Suh was not even slightly touch by his love unless her heart is made of stone and she's totally blind of Tae Suhk love...even a heart of stone wud melt with Tae Suhk's sincerity & love....

I totally hate the part when Joon Suh was readily prepared to kill himself becos Eun Suh is dying....God, he didn't even want to live even for Eun Suh's sake...Unlike Tae Suhk who'd fight till the very end, giving courage to live to Eun Suh and even his own rival...This is love....If the story was called Endless love, then the tittle is more suitable to describe Tae Suhk, and not Joon Suh becos his love ended when Eun Suh dies...while Tae Sukh love will remain in his heart for years to come....He is the one who learn the true meaning of love .....

I used to watch a bit of this series years ago and knew what the ending was (though i forgot most of the plots), and now I'm re-watching it up to episode 8 at the moment.

Despite being a blunt, spoiled brat in the series, Won Bin's HOT! <3 He's so nice to Eun Suh. Aww...I wish they'd end up together.

Now I have to half-force myself to watch it till the end, knowing what will happen. And I feel that they made is overly dramatic. I mean, it's a good drama...but I just think that they overdid it a little bit. It's sad that the characters would force themselves into relationships with people they don't love. It only makes it worse for both parties.

By the way it seems that lots of people hate Shin-ae so much... I find myself relating to her and feeling bad for her because the dramas antagonizes her too much that the audience aren't inclined to feel sorry for her at all. It's understandable that she's jealous of Eun Suh and lacks the ability to supress it or even express it in healthy way. She wouldn't have gotten good examples of how to deal with her emotions. I secretly wished she'd turned nice when she became an adult. Alas, nice "villains" don't make a good plot.

And I couldn't agree more with what Ixandra said. Glad to see I'm not the only one to have issues with the drama. Actually, one of the scenes I love very much is the interactions between Tae Suhk and Eun Suh at the beginning when she was still an operator.

All in all, though, it's a special drama for me. Very bittersweet, but it's the first k-drama I've watched.

I find it somewhat annoying that Eun Suh and Joon Suh kept on lying to the others to hide their relationship >.<

Just finished watching it. It is OK, but not great.
If Joon Suh really loved Eun Suh so much that he was willing to die for her, why would he engaged to another girl. The wishy washy romance is boring to watch.
The pace is slow and the storyline is not too appealing. It has the usual Korean series theme, two guys fighting for the same girl. The girl is dying of cancer and everyone is in a gloomy state.

Wow...I love this drama so much. It made me cry so badly...especially close to the end & the end, of course. I was in love with Seunghoon & Wonbin..how can you choose? They loved her so much The cast was stellar!

then when they got older the story had more conflicts that everyone involved..
