This Ending Really Really Sucks. Almost the main Characters died. It is so sad ,especilly Sam.
ice_D
split second is ok liked the idea of PTU and internal affairs mixed togeter got really into till the end when most characters were killed off....which got really wierd and depressing as they didnt need to die most innocent people that died was first cop that buahaha.gif "chun ho" played and "sam" died for no reason at all....
All in all the ending was rubbish.....
koekie
Ya right, the ending is realy bad. Everyone died... And it's going so fast at the end. The 1 most bad ending i've seen.
chauey

deepfan

ireally don't like alex and yoyo!!!
lee_jennz
I agree to say it's a sad ending where everyone (as in the main characters die), but then again, I feel TVB ought to be given credit this time for not letting main characters to survive. As we all know, TVB is always known for happy endings. It's time to bring us back to reality. People like them in their cast often ends up dying in those ways that were presented in the show. Bravo to TVB bringing reality back to live.
MC3
i agree wid you lee... tvb does have a lot of happy endings... something like killing everybody was pretty surprising. the way they died was also very reasonable... especially kevin just sittin there lookin like he was sleepin... props to tvb for a change...
angel10
i didn't like the ending either...
they built a reasonable good and intense story..but ended where all the good cops are dead.
when the drama ended, i felt so relieved because the story was getting draggy n boring..
nothing was memorable in the drama sad-smiley-065.gif
lee_jennz
Yup, good story. Really fond of it still. I couldn't stop watching and soon, all the series was completed. I can still remember scenes on top of my head , and its characters. Love Ngai Chun kit. He is such a great actor and did marvellous scenes.

YHY

Th ending was the stupidest ending I have ever seen. I doesn't make any sense Why does everyone have to die? I didnt like the serie at all.

In the ending, yes, most of the cast died, but the ending was that all the characters found peace with everything resolved, and that's the whole point of the ending. Either Dong lived or not was irrelevant, because Dong always wanted to get out of "the life," and he did. His death was when he became a heroin addict, but he defeated his addiction and became the person he wanted to be. His last wish was to see his girlfriend one more time, and hearing the "Moon River" song implies that he could rest peacefully. The triad boss in Thailand died, but he's finally saw his sons and the Buddhist said clearly that his life has only begun. It is through his death where he really began to live. The runaway cop who died seeing a clear blue sky, meaning that there is a "better tomorrow" and he did not see himself as dying. Vincent has finally solved the case and he can finally rest in peace. Everything "made sense."

Personally I didn't think the series was bad. It was one of the better TV series I've seen, because most that come out of TVB are complete garbage. From the filmmaking perspective--that's right, I said "filmmaking"--you can see the effort put into producing the series.

A lot of people died in the ending. But what do you expect? This is a series about the triads. It's trying not a glorify "the life." It's trying to say that there is nothing good about the life of crime and it only leads to either one of these: jail, death, or paranoia/insanity, because it's not the way to be.

this serie was good. just didnt like the ending because every1 died.
kphiacaramella
good story line, but the ending pissed me off. Couldn't believe all the good guys died, especially when alex fong died. Yoyo should've been the one lying down dead, b/c she was the one who caused all the dramas on Alex fong (his daughter's death, his job, his reputation, pretty his life)
smilanny
i really enjoyed this series but the ending is so sad... why did everyone have to die ?
babeluv916
actually i feel like the ending didnt make no snse at all.. why do everyone at thee ends.. it would of be better if they make 1 person didnt died and which is the guy that was the thailand police.. it would make it so perfect
lostandc0nfused
Yeah, I didn't like this series. Don't think I'll ever watch it again. The ending is dum. Basically everyone dies or goes insane. The story just isn't good. I didn't get the point with all the killing. The main guy really bugged me for some reason. I don't really like him. He seems like a bad actor to me.
munyee85
this is 1 of the worse ending i've ever watch. the ending is sumb. everbody die because theya re not willing to go to the hospital. dumb show!
WaiSiuBo
yeah this show has to have had one of the dumbiest endings ever. right behind the chilam charmiane series for got the name. split second had a great beginning and i though it was gr8 til around episode 25 or right after marco died. he died in the dumbest way.
nssoso
the beginning was very attractive but the end was bad !!
afoo13
i hate watching bad ending movies...it make me feeling sad for long time. weeping.gif
angeltvgirl416
yea i have to agree the ending sucks i mean the whole series was a bull sh*t i don't even know why they have to flim this.
edisonraylam
I think the ending was pretty good. It's sad that all three of the cops died, but you kind of expect it.
angel1987
i totallly agreed with you guys that the ending did really stinks, the worse ever. Its a disappointment to all.
arvid
IMO, this series went downhill after Moses' death. I expected the ending to be trash, thus there was no disappointment.
ChowMingS2
i thought the ending sucked too.. it was a weird but diff take on it tho i guess so goto give them props for that..
Obi wan Kenobi
Yep i agree wiv u guys da endin sucks!!!! y couldnt it had been a happy endin?
Simaz
so what happened in the end? who died? who lived?
bluejay
Agree, I don't like the ending either....so stupid to have everyone died at the end.
dontrustaustin
this show was stupid and a waste of my time. the end sucked! i didn't end watch the whole show, but i saw this one part where this guy (sam i think, the thai guy) he got shot and was dying and he didn't go to the hospital instead he went to buy flowers for this girl he liked. imean u can get flowers for her later when ur no longer bleeding to death. maybe that was suppose to be romantic or sumthing, but it certainly wasn't romantic or smart of him at all.
pauline
It is the baddest series of 2004!!!! blush.gif
The splot is no meanning!!!
ongkey
the whole story sucks..
how can they do so many things in a day....
pinkdior
yea.. i reallie don't like the ending! it's soo sad how almost everybody died! sucks!
Guest
I don't think Patrick tam died and no indication that he died .. he was walking towards the house with Rita when he hear the Moon River song ... don't think he died
pit'fulbluez
nah this ending fit perfectly...happy endings dont always work with everything it depends on the series...split second was a tragic series from the beginning everyone battling to get away from their fate but somehow they all got meddled in the world of chaos and greed the only way out was to die...no choice such an ending usually leaves the audience angry but thats to create an everlasting impression...didnt it?
golf7
I don't really like the ending of Split Second because I really did not know what happen to Patrick Tam did he die or did her survived. I was under the impression that he would die because his injury was bad and when he went back to see his girlfriend she left

sad ending=(
I almost cried when Kevin died

me 2.he had brain cancer and he died after he had completed all his work.
I felt so dishearten that he had 2 die.Why could he have not died. Not all people suffering frm brain cancer has to die.
YeXue
ok i totally LOVE tis show to bits!
but i haf to agree tat the ending sucks big time.
apparently all e main characters died.
i cried buckets at e end of e show can. boo.
nicole304
I find the characters in this series is irrational and act really wierdly. And not to mention the ending!! I can tolerate the first half of the series but the ending..no no!! Almost all of them died...died unreasonably!!! Only the death of Kevin was reasonable, since he had cancer and good that he died after he had accomplished what he wanted. But the rest.... *sigh*

Why Sam didnt make the effort to go to the hospital? Why Partick went to Alex Fong and get shot? Why Marco Ngai went to see Yoyo even though he was clear that she had gone insane? Cant understand wat they are thinking!! dry.gif
dazeio
loool.gif I remember when I was watching this series with my colleague/friend at the place I work (selling mobile phones, very free in the afternoon, no customers.. hehe) EVERYONE around us who've watched the series asked us NOT to finish watching the series... hehehe... From MY BOSS to the guy selling Chick Rice a couple blocks down.. haha.. they all told us the ending sucked.. Well, curiosity got the better of us and YEAP! The ending def. sucked. I think it was not due to the fact that everyone died but for me it was HOW they died. Doesn't it seemed strange to all of you that all the MAIN MALE characters died for/because of the FEMALE characters in this???? cluebat.gif

Nancy Wu wasn't in it. I think the girl you are talking about is Mandy Cho.

Yeah, totally sucked that the series gets you to make up your mind about Patrick dying or not?

Then again I can't think of another series that all the male leads die so this was kinda interesting and refreshing to watch.
