the thing u might have read is that it says his real name is hitoshi and he changed it because he thought it was too common?

however jin is his real name---confusion came in when Jin's name was fairly new. The kanji for his first name can be pronounced as either "jin" or "hitoshi". When they first printed about KT in articles and stuff people would mistake him for that name. SO yeah when no one new him they thought he was hitoshi....but its jin lolz
