Akanishi denies the interview (question) "Is a relationship with a woman behind this?"
Akanishi Jin (22), of a popular Johnny's group KAT-TUN, who has declared a suspension of all activities had an interview in the Johnny's Entertainment of the metropolis.
Regarding the purpose behind the suspension, he explained, "Firstly I want to go on an exchange program for language". There was no real specification about the period of time, with a "it depends on the circumstances" regarding the duration. He denied all possibilities of retirement or quitting of the group.
This is the transcript of the question-answer session.
"When did you decide on the overseas exchange study?"
Akanishi: "I had been thinking about such a thing since I was 17 - 18 years old."
"Why do it?"
Akanishi: "I had an interest in linguistics (not merely English) and an interest in the languages of various countries. I can't really express this well."

When i first heard it from Akanishi, i thought what kinda joke was this and was frankly, stunned. But while hearing his decision, i felt the power of Akanishi, who was doing what he want to now while he can.
Not wanting to lose to Akanishi, I will continue to put in my energy in my work, and when he returns, i want to be able to puff out my chest and say proudly that I grew up too!
I am sure the lonliness all of you fans feel is the same, but even when Akanishi isnt around, we will caontinue to workl hard, so please do wait for him to return.

I am sure there are alot of you who are really shocked, and there are definitely some who are angry and screaming at him to `stop playing a fool`. But this is a decision he made which would be of an advantage to Akanishi himself as a person, and definitely not something he came to the conclusion lightly. If everyone could understand this, I am sure Akanishi would be really happy too. That`s why I am sure everyone would lonely but till the day a even more Kakkoii Akanishi comes back, please hold on in there for awhile. Really sorry.

Thinking normally, to go aborad to study at this timing is ridiculous, but Akanishi himself has his own set of thinking, and since he is going, i want him to go and bring back something he cant find in japan and back to KAT-TUN.
Of course the one who are in the biggest shock are all of you, the fans. BUT there is no quitting or disbanding, so puff out your chest and till the day Akanishi comes back, please do wait for him.

The 5 year since KT was formed til we debut, alot has happened. There were also times when we quarrelled and felt like leaving. But in those times there was the support from the fans and the other KT members. After the debut, there were many hard times but also many happy times.
Lately, my body has been bad. Kamenashi, Ueda, Koki, Nakamaru and Taguchi has helped me alot.This was my dream last time that it is to study overseas. When i told everyone, i got a heart-warming reply, "Before you return. leave KT to us."
I feel sorry for bring so much trouble to the people involved.
Jin: Half a year is a short time, Since i want to study overseas. Iwill be very serious and will hardwork. I'm not sure when i will return. I cant tell anything now. This is my true words.

This is my first time posting, but I've read many of the posts in the past... sorry, I'm a moocher that hasn't posted her own info!! But I'm living in Japan and I just watched the news conference with Jin on the news.
Pretty much the translation that was given is what he said. At the end, when Maru and Taguchi came, Nakamaru read a letter from the rest of KAT-TUN. I dont' remember the details, but everyone told him gambatte (which is like... do your best) and that they will do their best without him. Kame told him to work hard with his studies, and Kame will do the same with doramas and all that. He said he hopes to see him again when they have both grown as people... or something like that. It was really sweet, and I think Jin was touched. Lastly, Jin said that he talked to Kame on the phone last night and he was encouraging, as were all the other members.
Jin looked really tired during the conference. His hair wasn't so great either! He wasn't kidding when he said he wasn't planning on getting a haircut anytime soon. Anyways, that's my bit... I thought you fans would like to know. I'll try to post anything that goes on in Japan about Jin. By the way, I'm originally from the States, and I'm hoping that's where Jin goes to study, so that I can go find him when I go home!
Oh and Jin clearly stated that he was not even remotely thinking about retirement or leaving the group! He said he'll be back, though he doesn't know exactly when.

Pretty much the translation that was given is what he said. At the end, when Maru and Taguchi came, Nakamaru read a letter from the rest of KAT-TUN. I dont' remember the details, but everyone told him gambatte (which is like... do your best) and that they will do their best without him. Kame told him to work hard with his studies, and Kame will do the same with doramas and all that. He said he hopes to see him again when they have both grown as people... or something like that. It was really sweet, and I think Jin was touched. Lastly, Jin said that he talked to Kame on the phone last night and he was encouraging, as were all the other members.
Jin looked really tired during the conference. His hair wasn't so great either! He wasn't kidding when he said he wasn't planning on getting a haircut anytime soon. Anyways, that's my bit... I thought you fans would like to know. I'll try to post anything that goes on in Japan about Jin. By the way, I'm originally from the States, and I'm hoping that's where Jin goes to study, so that I can go find him when I go home!
Oh and Jin clearly stated that he was not even remotely thinking about retirement or leaving the group! He said he'll be back, though he doesn't know exactly when.

When i first heard it from Akanishi, i thought what kinda joke was this and was frankly, stunned. But while hearing his decision, i felt the power of Akanishi, who was doing what he want to now while he can.
Not wanting to lose to Akanishi, I will continue to put in my energy in my work, and when he returns, i want to be able to puff out my chest and say proudly that I grew up too!

I am sure there are alot of you who are really shocked, and there are definitely some who are angry and screaming at him to `stop playing a fool`. But this is a decision he made which would be of an advantage to Akanishi himself as a person, and definitely not something he came to the conclusion lightly. If everyone could understand this, I am sure Akanishi would be really happy too. That`s why I am sure everyone would lonely but till the day a even more Kakkoii Akanishi comes back, please hold on in there for awhile. Really sorry.

Thinking normally, to go aborad to study at this timing is ridiculous, but Akanishi himself has his own set of thinking, and since he is going, i want him to go and bring back something he cant find in japan and back to KAT-TUN.

- His health hasn't been ideal lately. He got lots of help from the members.

Regarding the purpose behind the suspension, he explained, "Firstly I want to go on an exchange program for language". There was no real specification about the period of time, with a "it depends on the circumstances" regarding the duration. He denied all possibilities of retirement or quitting of the group.

Akanishi: "I had been thinking about such a thing since I was 17 - 18 years old."

i wasnt on for only 2 days and when i came back i was very confused..... i read everything what you guys wrote and watched youtube and news articles and now..i am a bit flat out...........i still cant take in the truth because only 2 weeks ago or something..we were talking about how jin might go out of KAT-TUN..and it wasnt as though we seriously meant it...i wish my best to jin but i really want to know what his really thinking
