I've mainly watched the scenes with Chae Rim and that other guy. I couldn't stand the evil b@tch.
But from time to time I've though this serie was a little bit too sweet.

kim so yeun was sooo mean in this series, but she did a really good job of portraying her role. this was a neat series because it's different from other series. this series also focuses on the troubles the reporters have to go through. if ur looking for a more unique kind of series, take this series into consideration.

First of all, I normally don't like positing comments but this time I dicided to do so b/c I just wanted to share some of my thoughts about this series.

Secondly, I wanted to appologize to Chae Rim Fans, pls don't hate me for saying this but what is it about her that made everyone are talking about her all the time. I have seen some of her series in the past and I believe that she is just an average actress comparing to many other actresses out there especially in this movie. Her roles are always the same, nothing's new, nothing's interesting at all. I believe the star of the show is Kim So Yeon, without her, this movie is not going to be as interesting as it is. Most of the time, whenever there is an evil in the movie, you would hated her/him or wanted to slap them but KSY did a excellent job that you don't even hate her but felt for her and even cried for her. I think that made her a great actress and how she portrait the character in the movie eventhough she was young (less than 20 yrs old) at the time when the serie was filmed. Thinking back, I don't think there is any other actress including Hongkong, Chinese, Taiwanese or any other countries could do better job than KSY did for the age. I owned lots of tv series and movies from China, HongKong, Taiwan and Korea and have been following up since mid 80's and I must gave thums-up for this actress for her rold in this movie. To be fair, I had seen her series couple of years ago but didnot really noticed of her acting skill til I saw this serie..... Must say Excellent comparing to all of the series that I had seen in the past.

this was the first k drama i watched and basically it got me hooked on k dramas however i have found that not many others have created the intense wtaching of the series as much as all about eve. from episode 1 i just wanted to continue until i finished the whole thing.

it is so unlike all the melodrama and had such a strong cast of characters. the 'evil' girl's acting was superb!!!! i SOOO hated her like ive never hated anyone before!!!!
hahaha it much ahve been good!

to this day it remains one of my favourite dramas if not my top favourite one.

My all time fave series- ALL ABOUT EVE. I was obssessed with JDG's character for a month or two. Rented all JDG's tv series after this....Spring Day Youth- is ok. Medical Brothers is dark.

Love Chae Rim- also watched all her series after AA. We're Dating Now" n "Over the Greenfields" is a must watch

I watched this drama a while ago.. and i have to say that by today's stndard.. my rating for this drama is 2.8/5. There are better dramas out there.. it's amazing to see how the korean movie industry has improved so much over th epast few years! hooray!

Well, I have to say even I watched a lot of Korean drama series, this drama still on my #1 list
The main actor and actress has a very good chemistry even the guy seems old after he works at the TV Station
The actress and actor in this series did a great job!!! Especially the rude girl (forgot her name but the one who in the end has lost memory) really can make people angry and hate her!

Actually the evil girl is my 2nd favorite actress. Noboday can have an evil role you know it's actually hard. She also acts good in evil and good so that makes her acting skills g00d!:) Imagine Choi Ji Woo... That wouldn't work for sure. Most people or every people hate her but I find her superb and most poeple love Chae Rim but me I'd rather see Kim So Yeon. If you compare the looks it would be Kim SO Yeon, Chae Rim is just cute that's it. The important thing is if it wasn't for her than there wouldn't be a great story to this drama because nothing starts it up

This was also my first Korean drama. My mom kept on nagging me to watch it because it was soo good, haha little did she know that it has become an obsession with kdramas now! I couldn't believe the antagonists, never seen such evil actions.

nice series! though i hadnt watched every episode, the ending is nice and i really love the fight between the 2 lead actresses! i must say the antagonist is really good! for me, she's prettier than chae rim...

the reason why i hadnt focused much on this series is because the timeslot is same as that in ":what happen in bali" ...

even so, i understand the conflict of the story..really really good...kim jung-eun looks really different at this series..maybe because she doesnt haveplastic surgery during those times...

haha i know!!!!! she looks so funny these days..her features don't like that natural anymore

omg jang dong gun was the SWEETEST in this series....and the ending was sooo cuteee i loved how he waited for her...and it was so cool when they were in england and when he came back she was so ahppy to see him but clueless about his identity..i loved it!

to tell da truth.... i think dis series is good becuz i like da romance involved in dis series... i think dis series tell us a lot about being a reporter... n it is very interesting to knoe about bein a reporter... wut a person is gonna go thru while being a reporter...

kim so yeon is undeniably much more prettier than chae rim, but i think most important is u must hv good soul & heart than just mere pretty looks rite?
i really enjoy tis series, from beginning till the end, but dislike than han jae suk died in tis series, but everyone also has a good ending

even the evil had become good in the end, ,so makes that han jae suk death worth it a lil rite

for those who hvnt watch tis, tis series is highly recommended, with many suspense & surprises & also good ending, unlike other korean sad drama

it's good in its own simplicity. and that it was kinda a happy ending. it was a sweet romance from the beginning. no major love triangles. no major lifethreatning disease, nobody in the series was TRULY evil.. and it isn't draggy. only i wish the other guy didn't die...

AAE was de 2nd K-drama that I saw and was hooked on JDG ...... he's real macho and his suave gentleman appeal in AAE, I think remain the Prince Charming of many young gals. His unsacrificial love for Sun Mi in the drama must have touched many hearts, but I think in reality it may be a rare chance to meet someone like him.

The plot of AAE is simple, but what really attracted my attention was the performance of Kim So Yeon. I think without her role as the evil lady, I think there's nothing much about the drama. One good comment for the Drama, the Director wrapped up the finale very well with the evil lady becoming a gentle innocent girl forgetting her evil past and JDG proposing to CR.

OMG.. i love this series. This was the 1st korean series i saw. I really enjoyed how you felt like you were in the series yourself. I thought the main guy was cuter and cuter each minute. I jsut wish the ending was longer.. it would have been nice to see what happens to them .. marriage or...

Me to... i still love this series most, even now so many other korean series... This series is one of early series that play in Malaysia... so during that time most people are so fanatic about this series...

Jang Dong Gun & Chae Rim are so cute & sweet couple... I love them together... Jang Dong Gun is one my favorite korean actor... He has a killer smile for me.... Ji Sung too... hehe...

Did she get pregnant and have an abortion? or was that part of a trick and was taking meds for something else.

So far, I really like the bad girl. It's probably because she's really beautiful that I don't hate her character so much. But she's getting nastier, it seems. She makes those other characters look like gingerbread cookies with all of their kindness. Like that Woo Jin guy? C'mon! Aren't you a man? You can't tell when someone's manipulating you? I hope they are having an "adult" relationship-if you get what I mean. He has to get something everytime she lays the guilt trip on him about her rough childhood.

And that other girl (Su Mi, is it?) is just tooo younggg. I thought that Rainie Yang girl looked really young, but this girl looks so much younger - even with the new hairdo. She should sell lolipops on the corner. I'd buy that. I guess the whole point is that she's the cute, innocent heroine. I like her though, although I'd believe it more if she took her down and body slammed her instead of that slapping thing... because that other girl is well, just seasoned and has been around the block, so to speak.

I've watched millions of taiwanese, hongkong and korean series...but i have to say that this drama still stay no.1 on my list... I watch it all the time...until my VCDs are starting to fall apart...and I'm still thinking to buy a new DVD version of the drama <-- yes..it's that good...

I remember once there was an AAE fan who posted that there's going to be a fan-made condensed version of AAE, basically one that only has scenes of Sun Mi and the Jang Dong Gun character...
If anyone knows where to download that...can you please post it here...thank you~~ it'll be so much better than me trying to fast forward through all the evil scenes to get the scenes with sun mi and the director...

All in all it was cool that the two nice people hooked up, even though I had to wait 20 episodes to see them kiss. To He's a pretty good actor. I liked him in Taegukgi, and I'd like to see more of his work. The mean girl stole the show for me, because as it turns out, she did have a conscience. She deserved to feel guilty... makes me want to re-evaluate my past relationships and see if I need to settle up with them. I'd hate to live with regret like she deserved...

Plus, she is an incredible actress. wow.

hi! new to this thread. though this show is e first korean show i watched ard 5/6 yrs ago. till date. i find this show one of the best korean show i had watched thus far. this show is reallie gd in e sense there is not much illnesses n cryin scenes. n e actors r hot! hahaz. You didn't see her much round the block because she sort of went 'semi retirement' after she got married 4 years ago...sort of after the top drama. But her marriage ended in divorce. I'm currently watching this series right now and it's pretty good xD But Young-Mi really annoys me, making herself seem all nice and stuff, and no one ever believes Sun-Mi Although, I feel bad for Young-Mi sometimes, and the only reason why she probably acts like that is because she grew up in a harsh environment. Who knows maybe she'll turn out nice later since I'm only on episode 7

The ending is quite interesting, not the typical korean drama. and the plot was good (no cancer victims!)

I remember this was the third Korean drama I watched after Autumn Tale and Winter Sonata (I know, typical). I love this series because it's not just a love story but more about the whole good and evil argument. I also like how you just hated Young Mi in the beginning and towards the end you actually can symphatize with her. Great drama! Maybe I'll re-watch it this weekend...

This drama was the first Korean series i watched. I didn't like it at all. i thought the girl is so chubby and not pretty, in fact it's kinda of boring.

this was my 1st Kdrama, and now i'm hooked on kdrama (see how powerful this drama is? ) out of the 4 main characters, i'm loyal to three of them (i just don't like the other girl )

Im almost finishing this series! Was told that was a wonderful show since few years ago but only had the chance to watch it now! It has such a fantastic story plot with a crew of splendid actors & actresses! Thumbs up to MBC!! Im so thankful that i finally get to watch this old but yet worth reminisicing series!

Wow! Never imagine the series's plain-looking Kim Jung Eun (news anchor) is now the 1st leading gorgeous actress in Lovers in Paris! Impressed!

Kudos to Kim So Yun too for her protrayal of Yong Mi was such a great one, & it definitely gives even our local best actress Fan or Zoe a run for the money! Every smile or tear she worn on her face was so real & inscrutable that really made one sit on the edge of the chair to figure out what's exactly she has up on her sleeves & her real motives are. It really baffles one whether she really loves her Oppa Woo Jin(Jae Suk) until he died becos of her. & when she cries when she played the tape tat Woo Jin recorded for her, my hearts goes out totally to her too. Being a gal from such a background, no parental love & left to fight for survival on her own has brewed this devilish streak within her & to pit against Sung Mi(Chae Lim) that has everything Yung Mi herself would have dreamt of.

Oh..must mention our beloved Hyung Chul(JDG) too! He's indeed the MAN of all man! Despite his little chubbiness in this show (he lost lots of weight now!) but i personally think he's still very charming & huggable! Pardon my ignorance but i never know this actor except by name tat he's famous until i watched this series, but from now on, i gonna watch his every performance! Like him especially at the part where he kept replaying the part of the tape where Sung Mi make a plunder during the news broadcast & smiled to himself & yet worrying where could Sung mi be hiding to cry....its so so sweet of him! Also like his suave matured deliverance of the role of a 'big brother' to Sung Mi & yet know Yong Mi's evil intention but not to expose her. Gosh, JDG - even in his age now, the fact that he's still reigns (despite the influx of youngsters like Hyun Bin, Rain etc etc)in the showbiz & a darling for most advertisers is such a cool feat! May age wil never put a stronghold of u JDG!

The songs for this series are laudable too! Especially love the one that start with " U can say..." (don't know its title tho). I heard this song even before i get to watch this show & i already fell in love with the song & that makes me wanted to watch even more!

I have to agree with many of you here as well, this is one of my favorite Koran series, I’ve watched it about 3 times now, but now I cant remember where I felt it in the house and now I cant find it, talking about it now makes me want to watch it too ... This is the first time I saw Chae Rim on screen, I really enjoy her acting, she’s not like the other Koran actresses I’ve seen, with the typical cry and sad look, she has a sweet cute images about her.

AAE is my most favorite Korean drama. I love Jang Dong Gun and Chae Rim's characters a lot. Their relationship is sweet and romantic. I hate the devil girl, Hu Young Mi.

All About Eve is definitely a "must-watch" serie. This has got to be one of the best Korean serie EVER. I loved the serie so much that I had to go get the DVD version. I just loved CR and JDG so much in this serie. It never gets boring rewatching it over and over is never a concern.

i think this was the first korean drama i have ever watched that my mom fell really really hard for that guy who was chasing that girl. i dont remember names because it was so long ago, but then my mom was always comparing my dad to him! ahahaha and its only a korean drama! but she enjoyed watching it a lot...and i enjoyed it as well... i want to watch it again though...

this drama is realy good, especially the JDG part (who's not? )
he brought the character to be a man whom every woman want
he said so many touching words that i still can remember the lines very well
and he's loyal to the very end!

Like many of u, tis is the 1st korean drama which i had watched & got me interested in K-drama.

I m currently re-watching it on disc & i cant help but still felt drawn towards the storyline & the cast.

Chae Rim really has a bright smile & Jang Dong Gun was really nice & caring towards her in the show.

Tis show remains one of the nicest that i had seen & i think its worthwhile to be recommended to others if u still hvnt watch it yet

JDG seems to be more into movies now & CR seems to have mature after her divorce but still i hope these 2 have a opportunity to work together again on another drama...

Bought the DVD because of Chae Rim because I liked her in another drama years ago. Had no idea who Jang Dong Kun was & frankly didn't find his looks on the cover appealing when I purchased it initially.

But now, I find his expressions is adorable when he's thinking of Su Mei (Chae Rim) or when he's elated over her. Ha! ha!

See what I mean!





His singing was also not bad. Don't understand the lyrics but assumed that it was meaningful because Chae Rim was grinning for that scene.


He can really create 2 different looks just by sweeping up his fringe. Amazing!
Chae Rim, on the other hand, looks prettier & sweeter with her initial hairstyle in the drama.

It would be nice that JDK & CR can collaborate in a drama or movie in the near future!
