TVB's new series "Water Margin Infernal Affairs" starring Julian Cheung, Wong He, Gigi Lai and Tavia Yeung held a costume fitting yesterday and as the title suggests, this will be a story of some Heroes from the Water Margin travelling through time to the modern day and as a result some parts of the show will be in in ancient settings. Gigi Lai will be taking on two roles, one is the ancient Pan Jinlian and the other is a sexy lady in the modern day. As her modern day character looks like Pan, she is mistaken to be the reincarnation of Pan. When Gigi introduced her character, she was asked if she had to show her character's flirtatious side. Gigi replied: "No, because my clothes will be very sexy with many men after me, but in fact I am very faithful, despite being misunderstood by Julian." Julian who was standing next to her couldn't help joking: "You are definitely an unfaithful woman!". At the time Gigi's costume was rather contemporary, so she was also laughed at by Wong He for looking like a Miss Chinese International, but then he added that she was the most beautiful one, leaving Gigi speechless.

Gigi has just returned from filming on location in Beijing and tells of how she has been filming series continuously for the last year. She says that after changiing her image, TVB has given her a lot of opportunities and the roles have all had a chance to develop her, so she will not waste the opportunities and hopes taht she can make a representative piece in television to let people know she is a quality actor and she will be working very hard in the next couple of years.

When asked if she has many pursuers in real life, she did not reply directly, but just said that there has to be love before she will take it further. In teh new show she often appears in sexy outfits, so is this going to be tough in the cold weather? She smiles: "Luckily I bought a lot of warm pads for Beijing and many haven't been used so I can pass them out to everyone." Also whilst Gigi was in Beijing, she was snapped doing some touring with a man. When she was asked about this, she smiled: "I am not responding, but I need to make clear I am still single and at the moment I am concentrating on my career."

Julian and Wong He will be working together for the first time in the show, but they were very well co-ordinated in joking with Gigi. Julian will be playing Wu Song and a modern undercover cop, whilst Ah He will be playing Lin Chong and a modern police officer, who later goes undercover.

Whilst filming "Point of No Return", Julian was accused of stealing the plot from a Korean drama and with this show obviously taking ideas from movie blockbuster "Infernal Affairs", he says in response: "I hope that there will be more creativity this time! However to make it obvious is better than not making it clear because it makes us all feel a bit better to have it in the open. (Will you be choosing your scripts more carefully in the future?) It is impossible to read the whole script, but I will just do my job."

When Wong He was asked if he was worried about the new show being a copycat, he laughs: "Not worried, if anyone needs to worry it is the producer. Although the undercover element is similar to the 'Infernal Affairs' movie, the film and television versions cannot be compared as the quality and the target audience is different. Also, our series is a light comedy so there is not the deep atmosphere like in the film."

Julian has just finished filming a series in the Mainland and has immediately opened filming with TVB with no time to rest. He laughs: "Life is like that, in truth I hope that I can have more exposure in Hong Kong this year so as well as making more series, I hope to make some films as well. (Do you wish for a representative piece?) Of course I wish for that, so the most important thing is preparation, so that I can take advantage of any opportunities in the future."

No, the pairings in this series aren't mentioned in the news above but everything is still uncomfirmed except for the cast. But I'm pretty sure all the guys will be involved with Gigi though

agree, he's so cute! Especially in Point of No Return and Take My Word For It. I started to like him in Cold Blood, Warm Heart. He was was great in there. He can sing too. I want him to serenade me . I can't wait for more of his series, whenever that will be.

Totally agreed with you guys. He was so cute in Point of No return. I feel so sorry for him when Charmaine broke up with him. SO sad to see. Anyways, he's so good at playing rich child, well overall he's good in all his series.

Julian Cheung and Gigi Lai were filming for "Water Margin Infernal Affairs" in Central in a scene where Gigi is threatened to have acid thrown at her, but Julian comes to her rescue and takes her to hospital. There was no kissing in this scene.

With the recent news of Edison Chen being assaulted and the threat of kidnap for Jade Kwan, is Julian worried about the safety of celebrities at the moment? He says: "I will not worry because people aren't that crazy. I hope Edison is okay. It was just an accident and just some schoolkids being naughty, Chow Yun Fat goes around everywhere." Julian says he doesn't go out much and he prefers outdoor and daytime activities so he has little trouble. Does he feel that Edison has met with this incident because of his arrogance? He says: "I don't think it is relevant, it was just a coincidence. I personally find that Edison is quite polite." After this show has finished filming, Julian will be heading off on holiday.

Gigi also indicated that she has received letters from fans who threatened to commit suicide if she didn't reply, saying: "The whereabouts and addresses of people in the public eye are easily discovered and people can get a chance to attack at any time. I have always been very careful and don't like going out at night, not going to very quiet or very rough places. I like going for walks on my own, but after these news reports, I will go to some more refined and tidy places and reduced getting a taxi alone.

Talking of Edison's complaints about no-one helping him when he was attacked, Gigi feels sorry for him and says: "He was very innocent, maybe people thought he was filming. (Do you feel that the young people are not sensible enough?) Maybe it is a matter of education, they should improve themselves or maybe the schoolkids just have too much pressure on them. (If the incident happened to you, would you press charges?) I don't think so, pressing charges may not be the best course of action. We should teach them and help them to develop." She also reveals that after finishing the show, she will be going abroad for a stage show and resting for a month to spend time with her parents or go on holiday. She will return to TVB in June to start filming a new series as she has been filming non-stop since April of last year and she laughs: "I need to rest for a month and let myself return to normal!"

Julian Cheung and Gigi Lai were filming in Shatin for "Water Margin Infernal Affairs" where they had to shoot an explosion scene where Gigi is tied up in the boot of a car, but is rescued by the heroic Julian who lifts her from the car before it explodes.

Gigi seemed uneasy when she was filming the explosion scene and it turns out that when she was younger, Gigi watched her cousin being burned by firecrackers, so she has always had a fear of explosions such as fireworks and fire crackers. She says: "I am very nervous and scared. Originally I was fine when I saw Julian, but I am worried that he will become unnerved when he sees me like this." However, Julian who is used to explosion scenes was very calm and quietly confident as he listened intently to the stunt choreographer and rehearsing his scene many times. Finally the scene was completed smoothly and safely.

When Julian was asked whether he was afraid he would fail, he says: "Not at all, TVB's action team are very professional and I am confident in myself so I am not afraid of failing." As for his feeling when he lifted up Gigi, he laughs: "My attentions were too focussed, so there was not much feeling, however I think it is time for Gigi to start losing some weight because she is quite heavy!"

Gigi Lai and Julian Cheung were filming a kiss scene for "Water Margin Infernal Affairs" in Lan Kwai Fong earlier and for dramatic effect, the two struck a rather acrobatic pose as they kissed a total of five times. Dressed as characters Wu Song and Pan Jinlian from the Water Margin stories, Gigi and Chilam attracted many tourists and locals to watch them, but they ignored the crowds as they repeated the scene several times and later Gigi exclaimed that Julian has eaten all her lipstick!

As for whether she had to ask permission for the scene from Julian's girlfriend Anita Yuen, Gigi laughed: "Not at all. I know Anita very well and we have worked together many times so we are not embarrassed. He is quite amazing though, not getting any lipstick marks even after kissing so many times." Julian says: "It wasn't really that passionate, we had thought about how to do the scene before and it is only a little thing, so I don't need to tell Anita about it."

Also, dressed in her ancient costume, Gigi felt a little odd: "When I had got changed and stepped out of the car, a lot of people looked at me in a curious manner and I felt a little strange myself, but it was quite a funny feeling because I rarely get to film such a comedic ancient show. Earlier, I had felt a slight ache in my neck from not sleeping properly, so it was a little painful, but I have taken a painkiller for it."

Chilam is a great model/actor/singer and I'm not sure about the "many fans in US" because most girls that i know likes Edison Chen or Daniel Wu, but Chilam isn't on their "rank 1" list. But I'm sure that he got more fans at Singapore!

Anyone heard any news about him? Last time I read a news that talks about Chilam having heart problem or something like that. It says that his heart can stop suddenly & he will die. Anyone heard any updates on his health?

Having been absent for a while, Julian had a body check earlier and found that he has a problem with his heart in which one of the blood vessels appears to be blocked and cannot be operated on. Doctors have given him medication to help, but if it becomes serious, he could die suddenly.

Having just reached his thirties, Julian was originally going to start diving lessons, but after finding out about his condition and reading reports about the danger of diving, he has changed his mind. As he still has many ambitions to fulfill, he wants to make more shows and has therefore decided to drop his desire to learn to dive. Has Julian made a will after finding out about his condition? He laughs that he does not want to talk about this, but he already has many insurance policies. When asked whether Anita Yuen is very worried about him, he says that she isn't, but he doesn't want to talk about these things

Chilam Cheung took part in a charity run event yesterday, where he was a little out of breath and he explained that this was because he had been up all night recently watching the Olympics so he was a little tired. He laughs that he is watching sport at night and doing sport in the afternoon, so he is living the life of an Olympic athlete.

Chilam says that he usually watches TVB coverage of the games and as for the criticisms of the hosts talking a load of rubbish during the coverage, he does not agree. In fact, he feels that the hosts are very relaxed during the broadcasts. As for the suggestions that the hosts lack professionalism, Chilam disagrees, praising Vincent Kuk for his work. He says that he has always watched TVB's shows and so he has an affinity for them. When asked if he has 'TVB blood' running through his veins, he says that is a little exaggerated.

Although Chilam likes watching the Olympics, he is not brave enough to be a host because he says that his wit is not quick enough. Having signed with a new management company earlier, Chilam says that his workload has not increased and he has had to turn down a lot of work because he wants to make some recognised films. When asked if he has made less money as a result, he says that in showbiz, you cannot just look at money and he would most like to make some films that give the audience confidence.

Chi Lam is a underrated singer. He has a great singing voice for slow love songs only.

There are to many "old" singers are coming back I don't think there is place for him at the moment, there are just to much singers out there at the moment. He has an ok voice but he sould try later to comeback.
