10 years is alot for Koreans.....their turnover rate are soo fast. As in, very hot/popular for 1-2 years and then almost non-existence the next.

But if i have to take a guess, I'd probably say Shin Hwa because they have 5 members to prolong their fame.

And also Moon Gun Yeong because she is relatively young, her acting is already good and should improve and take on diff. characters over time.

My fav guy is Bi/Rain....he is probably the hottest star right now, but can he keep it for 10 years?....I sure hope so.

Hmm...I Dunno...But my fave is Taebin and 1TYM, hope they would still be together 10 years from now.

i would say SON YE JIN, because shes got get potential and her career is skyrocketing;maybe SONG HYE KYO because she is so famous right now and she is pretty young; KIM RAE WON b/c he is so hot and can really act; KWON SANG WOO, because everyont seems to love him; MOON GEUM YOUNG b/c she is so young and popular..

but for unfortunate actors like WON BIN and SONG SEUNG HUN who is in the war thing, im not so sure... BUT.. i believe everything will be better for them because they have DIE-HARD FANS waiting for them.

wonbin.. because of his looks and talent.

i think he has the best acting ability if you'd compare him to actors around his age. and yeah, he's hot so thats a plus!

I think Song Hye Gyo because she was in some natable series and Kwon sang woo because he's my fav korean actor and I have faith in him

What I think is that it really depends on the stars...if they work hard then they may have a chance to be more popular even after Ten Years..

but my bet will be BOA and Shinwha too!

I think Song Hye Kyo will remain big star after 10 years. She is very populair now and she is still very young. I think she'll get more chances to act in great dramas and movies. After ten years she'll probably be even more famous then now

hmm...i would have to say Jang Dong Gun because don't you think he's just so hot...lolz...well...he's my fav korean actor at da moment , Song hyae gyo because she's just so pretty and talented, chae rim because she's really good...and i just finished watching all about eve and all da young stars that starred in major series...o yea...and won bin...he's hot too!!!

Definitely Rain & Boa, especially as Boa is still quite young loads of talent ahead of her.

I think these stars will remain big stars in the future..

Let me check my "Ball of fortune" and peep into their future....Written injest, to be read with humuor) Pls read with a sense of humuor or you r going to be mad at me. ' ...c I can tell the future...)

10: Kwon Sang Woo - I doubt this. But maybe..cos he's more than good looks, he has a lot of charisma but has to build a wider base of fans. I see a cosmetics line with his name on it.
9: Kang Dong Won - who is he? Sori...
8: Song Hae Gyo - She is more likely to marry someone rich and become a taitai or a business woman.
7: Jo In Sung - I seriously doubt this cos he's a hot favourite of ajumas (just look at the type of roles he's been playing; always in love with an older woman!) Come on seriously, after 10 years, who's interested in a love story of a 30++ man and a 50++ woman? he'll marry a rich ajuma and leave the acting scene???
6: Jang Dong Gun - I think this guy will end up directing and producng. i doubt he will act 10 years from now. He has a lot of show business acumen.
5: Boa - unless she's Madonna or else it is oblivion for her. Sayonara?
4: Moon Gun Yeong - She will graduate into a serious actor or at least end up producing shows of her own. Become a critically acclaim director?
3: So Ji Sub - He's going to end up on Korea's Grade A list of actors or become a politician.
2: Bi/ Rain - He's going to end up as a business man; probably having his own production company launching new "pop icons" to Asia and Hollywood?
1: Shin Hwa - Not all will last. Hye Sung will continue to release albums. Dong Wan and Andy will disappear. Eric and Minwo will move into new fields.

i think only artists with great talent will only be remembered no matter what they want to be in the future or who ever they turned out to be, a businessman,politician or just plain ordinary person. people will always remember them and their gifted crafts.and i think only few of them have it. i dont think good looks will say it all.as they grow old, their looks will perish and they've got to have talents as their weapons to survive.popularity will fade when they become older,grumpy and nothing to prove to be able to stay up there in the limelight.
i've seen many korean series and i guess so ji sup, kim rae won, and kwon sang woo are ones of them. they've done damn good actings so far plus they've given good roles to portray to show their acting abilities to the fullest.
well, everybody is entitled to their own opinion..no offense to others..you can add up to the list...

I'd say Moon Gon Yeung and Boa because both of them are still young and they have talents that can be developed more and more.. And also their looks will most likely will be much better.. so I guess, in the next ten years they will still exist in the entertainment world.

Hello! For me, I think it's So Ji Sup and Kwon Sang Woo. I based it on how they acted in I'm Sorry I Love You and Stairway to Heaven.

Actresses would be Lee Da-Hae if she can keep up with her terrific acting skills .

Most probably Rain....reali admire his sucess story, his struggle to fame, & all the hard work he has put into his career....

10: Kwon Sang Woo - i dunno cuz only watch few of his series
9: Kang Dong Won - He's really good in that movie with Ha Ji Won
8: Song Hae Gyo - undeniably good actress. i'm 100% sure she will remain big stars even in 20 yrs.
7: Jo In Sung - no comment, never see any of his series.
6: Jang Dong Gun - i believe yeah.. he will make it even bigger in the future.
5: Boa - yeah... good singer. although i like lee hyo ri more.
4: Moon Gun Yeong - i dunno, maybe.
3: So Ji Sub - no comment.
2: Bi/ Rain - i really really like him but i got a feeling he wont remain big that long.

Lee Young Ae? i tot she's a really big star after Dae Jeum Geum and Lady Vengeance?
Jeon Ji Hyun? i tot she is one of the famous actress in Korea after he movie My Sassy Girl.
Choi Ji Woo? her hit series Winter Sonata and Stairways to Heaven?
Lee Byung Hun? i tot he is one of the most famous male stars in Korea?
and what about the lovely Son Ye Jin??

Boa, Rain...a maybe not 100% but he is a triple threat which will make him able to get better and better...the girl in goong...the crown princess. Also won bin when he comes back onto the scene if he's still good he'll keep strong. I also think that choi ji woo will be able to keep up her international high status and keep in the buisness.

I think Shinhwa will last. They've been together for a long time and they're still going strong. I hope that I can say the same for DBSG. But they're going up too fast. &once you reach the top, there's no where to go but down. Poor guys...

In my opinion, I think se7en can remain big star in the following 10 years. Besides, Eugene and Lee Dong Gun are in my list as well.

i think song hye kyo cuz she has talent and in this business actors can last long if they're really good and i think shes awesome =] and shes just so god damn beautiful! i love shinhwa and all but i mean they debuted in 1997 i think right?..so its already been 9 years i don't think they'll still be as hot 10 years from now but i do think that they'll go down as legends and remain friends forever=] their bonds seem tightt=]

well FROM THE LIST, I'd say BoA...she's dominating Asia with her dance moves and music. If she expands her talent into acting as well, she'll be taking over everything.

couldn't have said it better. i also think that korea's rate of rising stars is incredible. therefore, the more they're introduced to new people, the more the old people are pushed over. it's hard tp sustain for more than 10 years in korea's entertainment industry. i could be wrong, but this is what i think, comparing them to other countries.

but if i had to choose, i'd say wonbin. he's known to be one of the best looking korean guys out there, and even though he's in the army, no one seems to forget him. and he has talent too, and i only think this guy can only age with grace. IMO, he'd be a korean version of George Clooney or something.

boa and rain for sure their names will be here to stay for a while and ppl wont forget them easily but i would have to say imo song hye kyo!! just because i love her lol

i'm not sure bout predictions but i think SONG HYE KYO's career will really go a long way...aside from being naturally beautiful and being a versatile actress, she endorses really well and sells a lot of brands she presents to the public, i heard she's also very nice to people and fans and now even Hollywood agencies are interested in her...if i'm not mistaken she's been in the entertainment for more that 10 yrs already and no doubt, she'll be able to stay there for more than that...congrats to her incredible success! My bet would be BoA, Se7en and Bi because you never know they might break out into the U.S industry. But I would love to to see DBSK last a long long time. They are still young. Maybe Shinhwa since they have been together for 10 years already. But they they might go their seperate ways.

i think boa altho not a fan of hers..shes young and talented...usualy korean stars will get unpopular by the age of 30-35(?) so...im thinking boa

I admire Korea for producing drama series with good performers. I mean they are not afraid to put in first timers in their series and sometimes most of them
gained a lot of followers. Here in our country (Phil) where star system is taken into account, we seldom see new faces in new drama series. Sometimes, they just get supporting or cameo roles, but the bigger stars always get the lead roles. That's why everytime there is a new series, you always get to see the same lead stars but with different supporting casts. I don't know if that is an advantage or disadvantage. But I feel that the reason why our stars stay in the business for more than a decade is because of this system. I think that due to this system they get to have more followers and loyal supporters.

I can't say the same to Korea. But, one thing I notice, Korea tops in exporting their drama series, that's probably the reason why they try new faces. Anyway, other countries, like ours will watch any korean series, so long that the storyline is good and interesting, plus factor is when the lead performers have good chemistry and good looking.

However, since this forum is about the korean stars that will last for more than ten years, I guess I can name a few - Kim Rae Woon, Kim Jae Won, Eugene, Lee Dae Hee, Bi, Kwan Sang Woo, Son Hye Jin and others. I have seen their series and they've proven to be good performers in their own right. I didn't include anymore the senior stars who have maintained their popularities in spite of new stars, like Lee Byun Hung, Choi Ji Woo, Ryu Si Won, Kim Ha Nuel, etc.

Don't you think Kim Tae-hee is another candidate?

No doubt she'll make a mark and a legacy to Korean show business ten years from now.. or even further! Actually, she's already leaving her own trademark -- her being humane. So to remain as a big star in the show business is not just about looks and talent. It is also about personality.
