Two big reasons why it's so high(not exhaustive): 1)Silence is getting VERY climatic and fans are anticipating what'll happen next and 2) Magicians of Love starring 183 Club ended last week(183 has no problem pulling in ratings) and it was the debut of SETTV's new drama, Smile Pasta
eck! i read in the Smile Pasta topic that the official ratings for the debut episode was 5.37 which is higher than Silence. anyway i just finished Smile Pasta Ep 1 and its really funny. i gotta admot SETTV really can bring in the ratings. AQMFS was pretty funny too. looks like there's gonna be some serious competition. but heck! wats important is we get to watch lots of good quality dramas.!
btw contary to the quote in the post above this, the starting theme song is actually 'Jing Jing De' by Harlem Yu not the ZZ one. the song ZZ sang is the ending theme song. i've uploaded the start theme song too. enjoy!

Harlem Yu sang the Meteor Garden 1 theme song... it was the opening song acually... he has such a nice voice... and if i remember right... he was there in the ending episode singing the song when dao ming xi and shanchai approached him after they sanchai told dao ming xi that she likes him too... hehe... that's about it...
nways, he sang well for his opening song for Silence... I actually like the hummming part (at the start of the song... it was like his intro... ) but ofcourse for vic... his voice improved a lot too... you could feel the emotions in the song...

AH! this is really getting better and better each week! plus every week, we get to see more and more of vic's fabulous acting! my favourite part has got to be when at the start, he asked SS to be with him, and especially when he countdown from 10 to 1! my heart was totally breaking! i'm really looking forward to seeing vic clinch an award with this role!

O_O! i can't believe that he would do that! it's almost as if he just wants attention...but in the end he ends up with WY's assistant anyway, right?
i think that he's going to be a huge problem for SS and WY when they finally want to be together...sigh.
i only finished episode 5 to this drama.. and from the first time zai zai's stomach starting hurting him.. i was like "noooo they're going to kill him off!" i read that there are two alternative endings and it hasn't been determined which one will be shown yet but i really hate non-happy endings so i hope they don't give him cancer or something!!!
I just finished esp 9 last night. Ahh, so sweet. I cried when Eun Hye saw Andy kissed the girl and she ran out into the night crying. and she calls Vic and he's like who's this. She taps on the phone and he knows it's her. And them hugging in the rain that was hot.
Vic does make a better couple with Eun Hye (no offense to Barbie fans).
There's sparks flying, even without words being spoken. So hot.
I really like Vic in this series, maybe because I'm a fan of Eun Hye, and not Barbie (for some reasons her acting doesn't appeal to me, maybe because I'm not into those too innocent roles and i can really kick your ass girls).
One thing I was laughing about was the beginning of esp 9 was when Vic was chasing Eun Hye after they kissed, I was like didn't they kiss at night (end of esp and bang it's daylight, whoa he must've been chasing her all night or something. Script director's fault for not making sure everything was in order. Also the part where Vic fell into the lake, and he gets pulled out right, but his suit is only wet in the front and not the back. Hey maybe the suit is water resistent. Who knows.
My favorite part would have to when Eun Hye was taping the phone number Andy hid from her, and Vic was looking at her. For some reason I think he has a feeling he knows Eun Hye is the young girl from his past. That scene was so romantic and sweet because they were telling each other their feelings (my mandarin skills are limited, so if i'm wrong please feel free to correct).
One thing I really hate about this series, it's airing too SLOW. I mean I have to wait a whole week just for about 90 mins, then you subtract 10 for previews and all, so technically only 80 mins. Dang it.
So 30 esp, umm we got about 21 more to go, that's like till the end of the year. Dang it.
I can't wait till the next esp.

I only saw english subs for the first episode at D-Addicts... not sure about the rest.. =]
As for the script.. I only saw Ep. 1's script but its in chinese...
ya for some reason they only subbed ep 1 for silence.haha my friends watch the subs and she was like.
