I've just started watching this drama lately. Seldom watched Zai Zai's drama (only seen him in Meteor Garden) and I was surprised to see that his acting has indeed improved a lot here: with more expressions of happiness, sadness, and pain.

I'm only at episode 9 now. Gosh! It's getting terribly sad... and more exciting and touching of course. My eyes just glued to the TV screen wanting to watch more episodes...

Talk about the ending, I think Wei Yi should die too. Like many others said this will make sense to most viewers. I've seen a cancer patient who had gone through the pain of chemotheraphy... It was really heartbreaking, seeing them so weak and losing hair. I always think what will happen to the patient if he / she gives up on chemo. So, I think Wei Yi has given me the answer, which I had always longed to know. Furthermore, from what I've seen, most patients who has diagnosed with liver cancer stand a very very slim chance in surviving...

And like others here... I gota say: I HATE Andy's character here (sorry, I forgot his name.. ) ... So selfish and annoying!... Just wish that I could tie him up and grab Shen Shen to hug the poor Wei Yi...

I'm watching episode 6 right now and I'm seeing Wei Yi in PAIN..oh gosh..it's killing me >___< can't believe you guys said he's energetic..lol...I don't think he is...oh yeah..the part that he gave the lady a HUGE CHUNK of money...wah.... Don't worry, Wei Yi will NOT go bald for sure . Losing hair is due to medical reactions from chemotherapy, but since Wei Yi is not on chemo or radiation, he should look fine... I think he'll just need to bear with the pain since he does not take up any treatment...

I find Chapter 13 rather sad especially that scene with WY’s mother allowing SS to hug her. That was a touching scene. Another touching scene was when SS & WY were exchanging text messages on their phone with the door between them. I remembered Meteor Garden 1 where San Cai & Dao Ming Zi were talking with a door between them.

I also noticed that he didn't seem to drink any type of medication for the pain...!!! POOR GUY...he was really hurt in episode 6... How come Shen Shen always saw him with pain and never asked him what's wrong with him?!!! BOO!!!!!

He got the stomache pain since like episode 5 or 6 and she didn't even figure it out and it's already episode 13..most of the time he's with her..she always saw him with that pain..doesn't see want to know what's wrong with his stomache?

Wow, Silence Fans are so sweet..most of them wrote in English to her because they knew she doesn't know Chinese..awww...apparently Park Eun Hye said she didn't understand English too well either. I guess you can only use your heart at this certain situation to express love to her.

I guess cancer patients have choices of whether to go for treatment or not. From what I heard on cases of cancer, the least painful treatment is radiation (for initial cancer stage), then chemotherapy (for more serious cases). Others may choose to just leave it as it is, like Wei Yi since God has decided their "fate".

If I have not mistaken, Shen Shen saw Wei Yi's stomach pain since the end of 2nd Episode when they were outside the convenient store.... You are right. Sometimes I also find Shen Shen not observant enough... Wei Yi's expressions of pain is more than a normal gastric pain. She should have noticed something was not right after seeing him in pain so many times

IceFish is fast, but the audio is a REAL big problem for me eventhough I could understand a bit of Mandarin (unfortunately I can't read Chinese characters ). The worst part is when Wei Yi speaks!!! Anyway, about cancer treatment, no I believe he will have to do it later. Actually, his is already an advanced stage. There's no way they could do anything for him. But the doctor needs to at least give the poor babe some medicine!!! I want to see him drink something to make it real..err...it's really painful..how can someone handle it without the medication and treatments? Ppor guy, he was not very happy since the time he found out about his cancer. I missed a couple of episodes and I heard that he had the surgery right? Was this true?

I guess you have not watched Episode 10 yet?... Yes, Wei Yi went to see his doctor friend for an operation and a specialist did the operation, but it was too late. His cancer has worsened. You should watch this episode and you'll know how important Shen Shen is to Wei Yi. Her message gave him the courage & hope to go for the operation. However, luck was not on his side...

hi tumn tumn, I actually did watch episode 10, but only half way through. I didn't get to watch the end of episode 10 yet. And MD (Nguyet Zahra) was correct, I skipped around a lot cuz I timed different episodes *sweats* so that's why I have to watch episode 7 and up now without subtitles. But I'll deal with it later since I have help from you guys or others who watch this series.

Poor baby, awww, the cells had already spread..*sniffs* that's sad...*sobs* episode 11 didn't have much scenes with Shen Shen & Wei Yi together, but I love the episode because it has a lot of interactions of other people with Wei Yi. Really like episode 11. I did watch episode 12 successfully and I think episode 12 was one of my favorite episodes so far.

I think this episode is ok, at least I don't see Wei Yi suffer, except for the part of him running out from the house holding his stomach after hearing the musical "globe". I am just a little disappointed that they did not show what happened to him after that or where he headed. I am looking forward to watch Episode 12 tonite. Liver Cancer:

The second major category of liver cancer, metastatic liver cancer, is about 20 times more common in the United States than primary liver cancer. Because blood from all parts of the body must pass through the liver for filtration, cancer cells from other organs and tissues easily reach the liver, where they can lodge and grow into secondary tumors. Primary cancers in the colon, stomach, pancreas, rectum, esophagus, breast, lung, or skin are the most likely to metastasize (spread) to the liver. It is not unusual for the metastatic cancer in the liver to be the first noticeable sign of a cancer that started in another organ. After cirrhosis, metastatic liver cancer is the most common cause of fatal liver disease.

(this is more wat wy has, because it is more of a fatal disease, but of course, we know that it was detected late.... and we do not know if it is secondary or not, so the other alternative is this:)

Hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC), which start in the liver tissue itself; and cholangiomas, or cholangiocarcinomas, which are cancers that develop in the bile ducts inside the liver.

Now the pain that our darling WY is experiencing is due to the tumor, as it enlarges, it stretches the membrane surrounding the liver (the capsule), causing pain in the upper abdomen on the right side.

Few liver cancers in adults can be cured by surgery because they are usually too advanced by the time they are discovered. If the cancer is contained within one lobe of the liver, and if the patient does not have either cirrhosis, jaundice, or ascites, surgery is the best treatment option.

This can conclude the probably WY's character has cirrhosis, which means metastatic liver cancer is probably the most reasonable ^^ (but then we do not know the primary cancer...)

metastatic liver cancer's late diagnosis has an average survival often quoted as 3-6 months. Some patients who have advanced liver cancer decide that anticancer therapy is not the best choice for them. They may feel that the slowing of the progress of the disease is not worth the side effects of the treatment. For those patients, palliative care can reduce their pain, control their symptoms, and make them more comfortable.

Palliative care is when they are about to 'leave' and are sent to those wards where they are usually hooked onto painkillers to make their final days painfree. Usually a very sad and depressing ward with all the people in there at various stages of dying. So usually by the end WY should be free of pain.... but usually the pain gets worse, he gets skinnier.... the skin should be yellow (but since he is cute probably wun be) but usually, liver cancers will cause jaundice of the skin (yellowness)

So dat is the liver cancer details. I don't think the script writer did any research about Liver Cancer. He did intergrate the metastatic and hepatoma together to form this one. But mostly it is metastatic... but certain things such as no primary are derived from hepatoma...... so basically it is mostly metastatic and only a few bits of hepatoma......

自從深深和左鈞大吵一架之後，深深就完全消失了…焦急的左鈞打電話給偉易，希望偉易可以告訴他深深到底躲在哪裡。因為深深的失蹤，原本打算對左鈞興師問罪的偉易，在得知左鈞為了留住深深的心，竟不惜犧牲生命製造假車禍，於是偉易允諾，一定讓深深死心回到左鈞身邊。
Ever since SS and ZJ had that big quarrel, SS had completely disappeared. An anxious ZJ called WY up hoping WY wld tell him where SS is hiding. Because of SS's disappearance, WY actually wanted to reprimand ZJ. But on knowing how ZJ inorder to hold on to SS's heart, arranged the car accident and was willing to sacrifice his life. went to the extent of arranging the car accident.As a result, WY decided he must let SS return back to ZJ's side.

偉易在秘密基地裡找到了深深，他故意裝作不在乎兒時的約定，還找人假扮自己的女友，營造玩世不恭的花花公子形象。然而，深深卻意外地發現偉易的手機號碼竟然與兒時留下的電話號碼相同，這絕對不只是巧合，因此她前往辦公室質問偉易，豈料偉易非但矢口否認，甚至強吻了深深來污辱深深的人格，羞憤的深深終於對偉易徹底死心。
WY found SS at the secret hideout. He purposely made it sound he did not care much about the promise they had made. Even went to the extent of getting someone to be his girlfriend and made himself look like a playboy. However, SS found out accidentally that WY's mobilephone number actually is similar to the number he had left with SS when he was young which cannot be a coincidence. Theefore she went to WY's office to question him. Not only did he deny it, he even forced a kiss on SS and humiliated her. An ashamed SS finally gave up on WY.


親眼目睹偉易和深深擁吻的曉光，下意識撥了電話給Yellow，並且規定Yellow如果能在五分鐘之內趕到，就有機會成為她的男友…但Yellow就在赴約的途中發生了車禍，還來不及檢視自己傷勢，Yellow拚了命也要趕到約定地點…曉光看到Yellow為了她受傷，心裡充滿感動，在這樣的氛圍下，Yellow吻了曉光…
XG who witnessed the kiss, a sub consciousness XG called Yellow... and also informed Yellow if he arrived in front of her in 5 minutes, will have a chance of becoming her boyfriend. However on his way to meet XG, Yellow met with an accident and did not bother to check his injuries and risking his life, continue to rush to meet XG. XG saw Yellow was hurt becuz of her was moved... under this atmosphere... Yellow kissed XG ...

ahhhh that's so ....sad...sweet...and predicted..

lol, actually i thought this week's episode will be good..awww..can't wait to see the "playboy" wei yi i think she'll eventually find out that he has cancer..after all i just found out this series is only up to 19 episodes...it'll end in Taiwan on Sept. 24th, that's what I heard.

I don't think Wei Yi jumped into the pool. From the opening credits of Silence, I guess he collapsed and fell right into the pool which was next to him while walking towards Shen Shen. What do you guys think?

ahh i'm sad to see all these caps of SS and WY together. it's like the happiness will only lasts for so long and then bam, he dies...sure she'll have a lifetime full of memories, but why can't she be with him? physically be with him? ahhh so sad thinking about this.

i think ZJ has no right to love her man.. he thinks he has sacraficed a lot for her, but he hasn't really made her happy ehh? he's too overprotected! made her cry so many times! plus, if u think back to it, it was him who made SS like that right? yes, he should take responsible of her.. but i think not the "loving" way of marriage.. instead maybe a "brother-sisterly" love right? i mean, if i was SS i would rather choose Love than like, miss out the one and only chance to be with ur true love right? instead, u have to be with a guy.. than thinks he's taking responsiblilty.. but isn't at the same time?
