Loved all the SS + WY scenes! gosh, PEH is really a fantastic actress..i mean you can see the emotions just in HER EYES...the subtitle for her sign language isn't really that necessary. Her + Vic have like GREAT CHEMISTRY! yeah, looks like ep 15 will have the lovey dovey scenes btw them!

i thought the way Yellow dropped everything for XG was pretty touching and she waited for him to show up. but i didn't expect XG to once again go after WY, it feels like the scriptwriter just wants to add some drama. cuz we saw when XG was with WY's dad, she was ready to give up, but i guess she was really hurt by the comments that she couldn't keep a man..you guys think that the Doctor guy is gonna come to taiwan and fight Yellow for XG?

Umm, I think the ending shouldn't be a surprised cuz I don't think it'll be realistic to think that we can cure an advanced cancer patient. Also because the beginning already foretold us that Wei Yi will die, if he doesn't die then there's no point in mentioning of how she remembers him..and all her narration in episode 1 already told us the ending in advance. I just rewatched episode 1 a couple of times and I think this series is very good. I love the consistency! I'm impressed with a lot of connections made by the screenwriter!!!

off topic question: is mars good? after watching meteor garden i told my friend that i wanted zai and baribie to be together, she told me to watch mars. she said it was really good.. but i watched the first ep.. and maybe my expectations are higher now since i've been watching many good tvseries.. i found that ep 1 wasn't as good as i expected it to be? is it just me.. or usually all ep 1s are like that? lol.

The whole serie is great I think ep 1 is only to let us know the charaters and so on but afterwards it's gettibg better and better....... I highly recommend you to watch the rest. It's a dark but deep and touching story and with very lovely scene and a good storyline.....
In fact I first read "Mars" The manga and loved it and then I watched te serie and it didnt disappointed me at all !!!They did a great job. Hope you'll watch it and like it too

the way my Indo friend told me, is the duration arrangement is different with Indo's VCD version and TW broadcasted one. For example, if it's eps 14 in Indo VCD's version, it's only eps 10 in TW.
I think that's because the VCD version is only like 45 min while in TW it's almost 90, that's why the eps is twice as different. Hope this is clear...

Well, the YesAsia version advertises "1-28" episodes... BUT I know that even Taiwan versions of series will sometimes shorten/change the episode lengths to make more episodes. For example, my Taiwan version of WZBQW (which had 20 broadcasted episodes, if I'm not mistaken) had 30 episodes. The Singaporean version also did... the original ISWAK had 20 broadcasted episodes, but the China version, for example, had 35. Thus, I'm pretty sure Silence is only 19 episodes... also because I believe Angel Lover is lined up to play after it in late September, which would give it only about four or five more episodes.

Hope someone else can verify too, though... I'm only on Episode 6, I'm actually already very upset about WY's impending death... he and SS are just so cute together, even now... and, from my perspective (not having read spoilers)... I just think it would be awful if SS were to be able to speak at the end of the drama, only to say "I love you" to a dying WY.

Question: was the ending really decided by the public? I remember reading at the beginning of the summer or something that everybody was voting for Vic to die in this series... so I was wondering if that's what really determined the ending? Thanks.

i'm sort of sitting on the fence on my opinion of silence. its not as captivating as i thought it would be. it doesnt make me mad not being able to watch it daily. i'm indifferent towards it. one thing i don't like is that it goes on and on and on. meaning the plot is way too slow..hopefully it'll get better

If it's true that there are 2 versions for the ending - one showing WY's death & the other ending without WY dying, the truth still remains that WY will eventually die because of his illness. If the production will decide on the ending that WY will still be alive we will still think that in the coming days WY will go. The makers of the Silence will leave it to our imagination on WY's death just to lessen the impact of a heartbreaking ending.

I was just reading the posts on the Silence thread at Soompi & there was a question there regarding the bottle of WY's medicine XuLi saw in Chapter 14. I wanted to answer the question but I have a hard time registering & since some of them are visiting this thread I might as well answer here.

WY's medicine is Ketorolac (it says in the chinese subtitle). It is a non-steroidal anti inflammatory drug. Basically it is a pain reliever & it is used on all kinds of pain not just for cancer pain.
