I just started watching this series... isn't there some 14 year age difference between Andy Hui and Vic Zhou? And they're going for the same girl? That's... at least a little disturbing. From their childhood scenes, it doesn't seem like their characters were supposed to differ that much in age, but if that's true it just seems like bad casting to have Andy and Vic in the same generation. (And am I hearing correctly, or does Andy randomly start speaking in Canto?)

Out of curiousity, who sings the theme song (Try to Remember)? I have the mp3 labeled as Leon Lai, but wonder why they'd use one of his tracks when the show's got its own cast of music artists...

andy hui randomly speaks canto cuz that's his character.. his "dad" speaks canto too, whenever he yell at andy's character, he would scream in canto, not in mandarin.

This series is so sad at the end. I know that he was going to die at the end and expected it but I still couldn't hold it. It's sad but memorable. I wouldn't trade it for a happier ending. I guess love and happiness are not based on the duration but on the memories created. Overall this is a very sad love story. It's better than korean drama's formula for a sad ending. I didn't even feel bad when I watch those endings but I felt so sad when I watch this serie. You could actually empathize with the actors.

Sooo sad!

Why couldnt Zai Zai lived on?? I wish he did but I thought the ending was superb, better than if it was a happy ending. Shen Shen was soo brave, trying to hold back those tears and at the ending when she was with Zai Zai, I thought they looked so beautiful. Definately one of my fav sad dramas.

This series was so beautiful. I love it so much. One of my favorites. It was so touching. I glad Wei Yi's last moment was one of peace and love. This really impacted me because I wanted their love to continue so much. Maybe on Lucky Star they can. It was just so wonderful. Vic's acting was great and he and Park Eun Hye had great chemistry. Beautiful series.

Wow,
I'm finally finish watching Silence and my, I have to say, it's lovely. I love it.
It was sad at the end.
My heart was in pieces!
I can't believe I was in so much tears over it. Although, there were some parts that were boring but it was overall excellent.
Vic did such a superb job at portraying his dying character. I love it! As for Park Eun Hye--she was just spectacular.

The sweetest part was when she tried speaking to him saying *I LOVE YOU*. I love every scene of them together. It was beautiful how his dad finally realize everything by finally realize what he's been doing to his son. He let go of his anger and let Shen Shen go be with his son.
I was so happy when the mother finally stood up to the father. Spoken like a true "WOMAN".

The songs were just amazingly fantastic. I couldn't stop myself from crying so much towards the end.
As I got closer to the ending, I was so afraid to watch it because I know what was gonna happened already. I keep praying that a miracle was going to happen to make Vic live so that Qi Wei Yik and Shen Shen can finally be together. Still, I bear with it and continue watching the series.
Boy, am I glad I did because it wasn't a waste of my time at all--the staying up late with watery eyes and tired-ness the next morning. It was all worth it.
I love how Qi Wei Yik did the video for his mom as a Gift. The saying, "Mum, I only discovered now unconditionally loving someone is the antinode for all sorrow...Mum, I think Ah Han must be your antinode.." I cried so much this part.
It was so painful to watch Vic go through so much pain especially when he puked out blood--that was scary!

I'm actually happy with the ending because all though they're physically not together but they're together through *LUCKY STAR*. They are finally at last together. He has loved her for over 13 years since they first meet and he will love her more so after that.
Qi Wei Yik is finally happy because of Shen Shen---She's the light that guide him out of his dark dark world!
He's happy when he died there was no regrets! I'm so sad that it's over now.

I'm gonna go watch more! I thought this was like one of those korean drama. It's that good!

i have just finished watching this serie; i know it is a little late, but have been busy with school.
anyway, the ending is great and so painfull for shen shen and wei yi. but i still hate wei yi's father. and andy finally let her go.

oo I'm so glad they're re-airing it. Now more people may get the chance to watch Silence. It's too great a drama to pass up. It's a great experience for drama viewers.

yaa.. i think andy and his "dad" randomly speaks canto especially when they yell is because they can express their character better in their first language instead of second.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT WHEN THEY SPOUT OUT RANDOM CANTONESE! I'm cantonese so it's great to undestand SOMETHING without subtitles. And it does really add feeling. Also it shows an intimate father son relationship. Though that assertion gets messed up in those later episodes... yeah.

The day after I finished Silence and I'm absolutely depressed. I keep singing Jing Jing De to myself and I keep wanting to cry. The drama was just too touching. Especially the last episode when they're lying in the fields. I can't even describe it clearly to people that haven't watched their love story unfold. I tried many times today to tell others how touching and deep it was and I just couldn't goon because they wouldn't understand Lucky Star and the Try to Remember song... Silence is truly something.

ZAIZAI in JAPAN

In late October, i.e. during the last third of October, Zaizai will be in Japan to promote "Silence" with the Silence cast.

Meanwhile he will shoot on location for "Delicious Relationship."

In addition, some outdoor ad will be put up around the Shibuya station.

1. According to today's news, Oct. 17, 2006,

Zaizai will leave for Tokyo to do promotions on Oct. 21.

***Based on the items listed in today's Taiwan Apple Daily news (2006.10.18), the Silence promotions are very similar to the Mars promotions, but w/o the fan meeting.

However, Zaizai will be on a cooking show for "Delicious Relationship."

Specifically, there will be

- a press conference

- an open radio interview (21:00-22:00, Sun Oct 22, 2006)

- on a TV cooking show "ÃÀÎ¶Ìô‘ð" (a cooking contest show?)

Zaizai will be in Japan for 4 nights and 3 days.

Angie Chai and the actor playing Yellow will go with Zaizai

I love this serie so much. Zaizai acting have gotton
really good. I cry so much at the ending. It was a
ending everyone knows of but I still didn't wanted
it to happen. hehhehee I really enjoy watching the
serie. All the actors are great in it.
Those are really nice pics of Zaizai in Japan. I guess
he is pretty popular there too.

Woah, so many screenshots. xDD I think Park Eun Hye's acting in this show was amazing...like the producer/director (someone in the crew) said, she was able to express her emotions through her facial expressions and body language perfectly.

this serie is really a great serie, but it's really a pitty that the ending is soo sad...

I watched this series not too long ago, I thought it was quite good. Loved zai zai and Park Eun Hye~ ^^
The whole cast was unique and good. Vry good chemistry...
I thought park eun hye did a real good job, not an easy role at all, but she pulled it off well~

Also able to learn some sign language too! lol... I still remember "I love you"

It did take long for Shen shen to learn qi wei yi's name though... but I guess no drama if she knew so soon.. haha

OMGNESS!!! this drama is SUPERB! i am so going to buy the dvd.. at first i wasnt really into this drama due to its known ending.. however i am so glad to check it out.. i wan to see more of zaizai ><.. the chemistry bw e male leads are unspeakably good.. ^^

Actually, I heard from some pretty strict mods that you're allowed to post one or two songs or one or two MV's from dramas or a short NG clip, but no full shows or CD's (for instance, not the whole OST, not all the MV's, no variety shows/promotional events, and no series).

Anyway, I also think that Park EunHye was perfect for this role! Sadly, I haven't had a chance to finish this yet (although yes, I do know that WY will die

), but I happen to think she and Vic have GREAT chemistry and that she's soo adorable as a mute girl. She's very expressive. While it may be true that a big name like Song HyeGyo would have pulled in more viewers (say, from Korea... because the Korean market is pretty hard to break into), she probably would have been much harder to get. And I'm pleased with the end result, anyway.

My mom always used to say that Vic couldn't act (although we didn't watch Mars yet), but she said there was a vast improvement in this one, and she really enjoys watching it. I honestly think that all of the actors did a really great job... well, maybe with the exception of WY's dad, who always had just one expression on his face... I mean, I know that he's supposed to be angry and mean, but there are different ways to convey that

My mom said he was an idol actor when she was my age, LOL. Anyway, I really think everyone was very good in their roles (well, as far as I watched). Even the three child actors, which surprised me... because, generally speaking, I never like the child actors in Taiwanese dramas... but they were very good. It's a shame that they announced that Vic was dying, though! I like my surprises.

Man I just finished watching this drama and all I gotta say is this is definitely a MUST BUY drama. The acting from both Vic and Park was amazing. Park is a very talented actress the way she plays mute yet from her body language and her sign language you can just know what she is saying even without her voice.
Vic has approved amazingly in here as well. The way he showed that he is in pain you can feel his pain.
Also both Vic and Park have amazing chemistry in here. I wasn't gonna watch it since I'm more into Romantic Comedy dramas but this one really won me over. I was hooked from the very first episode. Also the children that acted as young Qi Wei-Yik and Chou Shenshen are very cute and great little actor/actress.

The storyline was sad yet touching and sweet. I love every single scenes in this drama and the OST where great. I love the beginning song and the ending song.

My favorite quote would have to be the last sentence, Qi Wei-Yik's last words to Shenshen:
"Shenshen, next life I promise you I won't leave you early"

When he said those words I started pouring out tears...I also love when she finally spoke and said "Qi Wei-Yik, Qi Wei-Yik I like you, I love you".. then he replied with "I know"..

Man this drama was so good...I'm gonna go and rewatch it again...that's how good this drama is.

I'm just waiting for this drama to be sold with English subs so I can go and buy it...

I really fell for this pairing...yes I know Vic and Barbie are together in real life but shoot if I wasn't a fan for Vic and Barbie then I would be rooting for Vic and Park...lol

I also like how this drama had three major Asian drama countries tied together.
Vic (production) Tawian, Park Eun-hye Korea and Andy Hui Hong Kong

my frenz who don't like zai zai oso started to watch it...
1 day,when i went put wit them,suddenly they talked bout tis drama silence
n they said zai zai acting has improved a lot....they said he din look like last time in meteor garden...they said his acting in mg is very worse...
but his acting in silence is awesome n they r watchin it now....
me???sit beside them n listening to wat they said....n soooo happy....
tis is d first time they praise my idol zai zai....
