I just finished this series and i must say i loved it.
Very inspiring and shows that life is short.

I must say zaizai and park eun hye did a great job.

Why did it have to be a sad ending!!
Is there really going to be an alternative ending because if there is that would be awesome.

Poor ZaiZai...I wanted to beat the director for letting him and Park eun Hye end up together. And seriously I also wanted to punch Andy Hui for always getting in their way

Still I really love this series I think it's ZZ's best one yet. Sooo handsome hahaa well this series is tied with Mars but still good good *thumbs WAY up*

I also like this series even though the ending was sad. At least they prepared us for it unlike some other one which they sudden add in the end. I think both ZaiZai and Park Eun Hye both did a wonderful job in portraying their character. This drama does rate up there with Mars as one of Zai Zai better role/acting.

i've finally finished this series....it was an ok series for me...kinda found that it dragged a little...and the ending was very sad.....

Zai Zai's acting abilities have really icreased since the Meteor Garden days. I loved his character in Silence...he had the cold calm and collected aura! Very Zai Zai-like

Becuase she is Vic dad's daughter that he abandoned. The reason he married vic's mother is because her money. And he left his wife because of this.

so does vic's dad knows that shes his daughter??? and does she like andy??? at the end do anyone the secret

Yes, he knows. But he is a selfish man and becuase he loves money so much that he doesn't want to recognize her as his daughter. And no she didn't end up with Andy.

Yea, near the end, she realizes who vic truly loves and moves on.

wow i cant wait to see the ending im like almost done with the whole serie. i feel so sad for vic especially when his stomach pains act up its so painful for him.

i seriously hate parents who just talk to their child only about work i mean if u talks with them like that and nothing else to say why has a child in the first plac.e i feel so bad for vic mother she loves the father so much but she gets nothing in return. hes those big shot guy who cant take off his image just cuz he used his wife money.

the part where the cleaner was telling vic all the things dat are not suppose to say to CEO was funny. it teaches ppl a lesson of not telling someone who u dont know everything thats goes on in the company b/c at the end u will never noe who the person u were just talking to lol

ahh i hate the part where andy jumps in front of the car so he can get hurt to make shen shen be with him. aww i feel bad for vic for the first time he felt heartbroken and being dumped yet he was not yet dating shen shen.

well at the very end at guess their relationship got better. they didn't know about the cancer till like the very very end. And it was then that vic's father realized that he loves his son and would give up everything to bring him back. But it was kinda late for that now.
Well the father was hoping that vic would be just like him and take on the buisiness with him. But when he realize he was more like his mother, he became angry i guess. And yea, i totally hated him for neglecting vic's mother and trying to seperate shen shen and wei yi.

It's really funny how the cleaner thought that vic actually liked her. And when vic was living at their apartment, she would always go early in the morning in front of their door and do aerobics.

I could see how much he loved shen shen, but it was wrong for him do seperate them. Even when he was little he shouldn't have hidden the paper and when he found out who wei yi was, he should have told her then. If he really loved her, he should let her be happy no matter who she's with. At the end he was able to realize this.

Shen Shen and wei yi are sooo cute together. I luv the christmas scene the most. You can totally tell she really liked him then becuase when he kissed her, she didn't back out or slap him.

I'm on episode. I was hoping a miracle would happen and WY would live. ARRGGHH, I couldn't help reading all the spoilers >.<

This has happened to me too, more than once i must say.
I was hoping would live too after reading the spoiler, but once i got a third of the way through i pretty much knew it was impossible. But still hoped even at the very very end.

i love this serie coz i found that it's so romantik and it was a really nice love story but i really hate the end! why does he die?????? WHY???? It's so sad...

i'm an avid zaizai fan eversince MG days. I can honestly say that his acting is getting better and better with every series. I cried my eyes out in this series. I got the dvd with no english subs, and though I can hardly understand the dialogs, I was moved by their acting. I also love the OST.
zaizai did a terrific acting in this series. I can't wait for his new series.

omg eps 17 is the best since vic n shen shen shared so memories with each other all the scene they had together were so sweet and touching!!!!! n at the same time its so sad cuz vic keeps on thinking he will die soon!!!!

i dont know why the direction gonan make him die for. its so sad!!!!

also in eps 17 its funny when ah ling try to keep close with vic her actions are so funny

Cam Lam if u are prepare to be sad at the end yea u sud watch but if u dont want to see wat happened to vic then dont. i think u sud watch it cuz this character is really different from his character in MG. it is very good i say. even tho hes not with barbie, the korean actress did a good job and they do match in the serie

i just started on the drama today after catching a bitsy of it on tv yday afternoon... then when my fren told me how it's gonna end..... i felt so down!!! like.. should i continue watching it? cos i hate it when they have such an ending?! WHY!???

the last eps was so touching it so sad that vic had to die at the end. i started cryingn wen the mother started watching vic video he gave her and the part the touch me the most wen he said " mom i really dont want to die." tears just started coming down like rain omg i had tears everywhere. after dat i was still crying. i think my eyes were swallon later

on another note, i thot the plot was quite similar to korean dramas, a 4-sided relationship (2 men 2 women), lots of misunderstandings & struggles to be together, difficulties etc, and someone has some critical illness. erm..

but i still found some parts of what i've watched so far pretty enjoyable. cos as compared to the vic who acted in meteor garden, his character is different in this show.

verena, do u agree tat vic's acting skills improved so much in silence??? in meteor garden, he has so little lines and he is basically expressionless.....

yup yup i think he's better in this drama. i've only watched vic in MG (1&2) and this drama and maybe the character itself gives him more space to demonstrate his acting skills? cos basically the hua ze lei character in MG is just someone who is always nonchalant, expressionless etc.. and always just wanna sleep. haha. whereas qi wei yi in Silence has got more to him. although seems cold and heartless on the exterior but there are more facets to him.

i've paused watching silence for the time being to catch up on hanakimi. haha shall continue soon! and i'm so not looking fwd to all the heartwrenching parts.... just wanna see the nice and sweet moments!

the middle part of the series get abit draggy and most of the time will b angry with the pple ard weiyi and shen shen.

im currently watching this taiwanese series..so far..soooooo good...touching moments..and the story is so great...the script is nice...wonderful lessons could be learned from the story...as of the moment, my favorite line was the one coming from qi weiyi when he told his father ..something like.."pa, the least you could do is to fire me as a ceo .." but the only one who can fire me as a son ...is GOD".....ohhhhh..what a touching line..! im about to begin episode 11...i can foresee that it would be a sad ending, but it would be okay,thats part of the story...so long as the main characters must be able to share wonderful moments together even in a short time...i really hope...they could...! silence is very nice indeed..! i cried buckets of tears already last nite..!

well then u will love episode 17. I think that's the episode. well anyways, later on they share many memorable and cute moments.

Zhao ShenShen (Park Eun Hye) live with her mother and has a neighbor who was her father's business partner. The neighbor has a son name Zhou Jun (Andy Hui) who is about ShenShen's age. One day Zhou Jun convinced ShenShen to skip school and ride the bus to some place. Unfortunately the bus got into an accident. Because of this, ShenShen was so scared that she lost her voice, hence making Zhou Jun felt responsible. Thus, he promised to take care of her. One day, her mom died on the way to the hospital, leaving ShenShen in Mr. Zhou's care.

In an old bomb shelter near the hospital, she happens to met Qi Wei Yi, who was in a cast (his leg was broken). He told her about a place called "Lucky Star". They hang out for a week and wrote letters to each other but they would keep their letters in an opening in the wall. They promise to meet in 15yrs (?-- can't remember lol) on Christmas Day, 2006 (when he will be 25 yrs old), to open the letters. Before WeiYi leaves, he hurriedly wrote down his phone number for her to call but he was unaware that she cannot talk. ShenShen, along with Zhou Jun and his father, decide to move to Taipei.

Time passed. WeiYi, who has just return to Taipei (after years of studying abroad) to become the new CEO of his father's company. On the first day, he decides to fire a mass of people and one of these people happens to be Zhou Jun's father. ShenShen decides to take revenge on the new CEO for firing uncle Zhou. Thus, ShenShen and WeiYi met again, unknowingly of each other's identity. Also, WeiYi has a fiancee (Megan Lai).

The whole series focus on how they become acquainted and their struggle to be together. Unfortunately, WeiYi is diagnosed with a fetal liver cancer and has only three months to live....

i really enjoyed watching this drama, zai zai's acting skills has improved so much. it was really sad dat he died in d end but atleast he did hear shen shen's voice saying i love him. Wong yellow's sister is d most funniest character in this drama, d thing she does n say just makes me laugh hahahaha

when this drama first came out, i must say that i was really into it and all, but after taking months to complete it i lost interest and dont remember what was happening in the series :X the ending was so sad.. vic died :T but then, i found the "wong" siblings very funny and adorable, haha. kingone actually looked cute with megan in the show. i still found vic and the girl playing shen shen quite compatible though

The opening theme song is sung by Harlem Yu and he is the same person who sang MG opening theme song. The ending theme song for Silence is the one sung by Vic.

just finished watching silence this afternoon..sooo sad..i have to agree to alot of comments about vic zhou's BIG improvement as an actor..i could say he has tremendous improvements in his acting skills...though he doesnt cry that well....still i loved his acting..he is so cute...i love the girl also..pretty ..pretty...! overall the series was nice and very touching..! a MUST-WATCH series..! hope it will be shown in the philippines in the NEAREST future..! i love the lucky star sign also..! the lover's code~! i really loved it.....! i cried also here..! vic zhou can touch ur cold heart here and it would definitely melts...!!!! so happy to have watched this taiwanese series..!!!!!!!!!

currently watching this drama.. good drama.. love zaizai .. he's really hot in this drama.. i like his hair.. suit him well.. don't like his hair in mars..

I think after u finish watching this series, ur thoughts on zai zai's acting will change because he did incredibly well portraying Qi Wei Yi. I didn't really like zai zai before watching Silence but after watching this series, my thoughts on him changed. His acting was superb!
