wohoooo....i just finished downloading the official soundtrack of silence & its so shuai!!!! The ost is really sooooooo cool specially the songs:JING JING DE,TRY TO REMEMBER & FAMILIAR GENTLENESS i can actually feel the song specially zaizai's familiar gentleness his voice just makes me melt!

Erm..too bad I didn't even cried when Qi Wei Yi died...
Usually I cried watching taiwanese drama...every scene when its the sad part...but not this one...rate 1-10, I'll give 6.5...

this drama was pretty touchinn i gotaa say
i rkn it kindaa dragged a bitt in the middle and i got extremelii pissed at the guy that lives with shen shen and doesnt accept the fact that she doesnt love him
but it was a realli touchinn story and the ending was sooo sad wen vic died..rite after he found happiness..
i loved the bit wen shenshen finalli found her voice and told vic she loved him awww so sweet

i've just started watching this show today... yeah i'm slow, but it's better than never.. heehee... well, it does attract my attention and i'm gonna watch bits by bits of it... i've received a few 'warnings' saying the ending isnt good, so i'm prepared... hahaha... at first when i saw those promo pics of this show i didnt think much of Park Eun Hye but now i start to think that she's pretty, and she actually looks a bit like Eugene... hahaha... well, I consider myself lucky because this happens to be a chinese show and so i understand what the subs say... because all those time when Shen Shen was dumb requires people to read the subs... my mother was so frustrated cos she cant read chinese.. lol...

Silence ending is not actually bad its just that the ending is a sad one,but still even in his last day qi wei yi still find happiness with the person he loved & searched for so many years. Its really a touching & heartbreaking story.
When it comes to fave part of the series for me it would also be the part where shen shen finally said "WO AI NI" to wei yi & wei yi said "I KNOW" so touching.... And to add to that sad,happy & touching feeling is the official ost of silence its so so cool specially FAMILIAR GENTLENESS by:Zaizai & TRY TO REMEMBER by:The Brothers Four (this is the song qi wei yi always listen to).

Is it really Park Eun-Hye(Shen Shen) who say the words in the ending?

I dunno which ep i'm on, but i just couldnt stop watching the show... I'm on till the part where Vic did the operation but came out with the bad news that his illness had gone worse... btw, i thought he had leukaemia instead of cancer? But some times he doesnt look like he's sick at all.. he only started to look sick after the operation...

Zuo Jun is so desparate for Shen Shen's love... I think he would start to do something awful later... will he? But i think he'd better off together with Xu Li...

Xiao Guang is like between Han Xin and Kingone... i wonder who will she end up with... both are equally nice to her...

Just started watching this and so far so good, hadnt seen zai zai in anything since Mars so yeah!! its quite touching and the sporadict canto in it lol

I finished this today... the ending is sorta rushed though... and there're so many questions i have after watching it

~How's Xu Li and her father? Will she be inheriting everything from him? Will she be working for him anymore? Will he admit her as his daughter?
~How's Wei Yi's parents? Are they going to divorce at all? The father doesn't seem to have realised how much misery he had given to his wife... aren't they going to settle that down?
~How's Xiao Guang? Is she ending up with Han Xin or she accepted Zhi Ye already? They didn't say that though...
~ZUo Jun? Will he be still working with Xu Li and Qi Zhen Yang?

Everything happened all of a sudden though... It was like the three or two episodes before the ending, Wei Yi was still very healthy... he could walk, he could do things normally, and he only had ocassion stomachaches only... then it was quite sudden when he threw up blood... and there's one more thing, towards the end, they were still saying he still had three more months to live... i dont get this, from the middle of the show until the end, they're always saying 3 more months, 3 more months... it's like the time never passed at all... and it seemed like he died right even before the first month ended...

Aspire, We have the same doubts ^^! After finishing the series last year I was kinda disspoinyed about it's ending. Such as how the reaction of Weiyi's parents after his death, and how about Xiaoguang and Xu li. But come to think abt it, I think the serie wants the viewers watch and judge by themselves. So I think may be it's something like the different way of ending.

By the way, the times in htis series also fake too, I can see the mistakes about time for 2 or 3 scenes ^^! And if you girls notice, you can see the date on the mobile screen showing --/--/05 -*- But on the other hands, we know the exactly date of filming ^^

The reason why I watch this serie is only one, that is I'm a big fan of Zaizai HEHE I can say this serie is a must, to fans and not-fans people. Zaizai improved his acting since Mars. Don't miss it. ^^

I was pretty satisfied with the ending. I thought it was so beautiful the way they did it, especially the part where you hear his voice at the end when Shen Shen's writing in the sand. In most movies, when they're dead their dead, but having him say that really symbolizes everlasting love.

I also thought about the same questions you guys mentioned, but what really bugged me was what happened to Ah Han's sister. I don't think they showed her with Ah Han at the end, so I thought he just left her behind. But this is where common sense comes in place. He surely has his sister with him.

I cried a little, but not that much because I was watching it with other people. I'm gonna probably watch it by myself and go bawl my eyes out:P
One more thing...How do you pronounce Zai Zai? I've been prounouncing it like "Zay Zay," but it it really something like "Zye Zye?" I have no clue.

SILENCE's ending is one of the most painful endings I have ever seen, it made my heart ache and breaking. And I am still feeling the same thing everytime I listen to its OSTs..

I'm watching another tear-jerker, Stairway To Heaven. Wonder if it's gonna be as good and as sad as Silence. I think I'm still gonna like Silence better, because you can't beat VicXD

just finished watching the series. first and foremost, zaizai is soooo gorgeous in this series, even though i didn't like his hair color that much. it was very heartbreaking, that i could've had a heart attack because i can really feel his pain and his desire to live longer. i have so many things to say but i guess i'll save it up for later im still absorbing everything until now since ive been sleeping later than usual just to finish the series thumbs up to the actors and actresses! zaizai really is a good actor, imo. job well done.

hi aspire. if you watch again from the beginning, it always shows that wei yi often got stomach ache (wei tong). i thought just a stomach ache, but it turned out to be a lever cancer (gan ai). so, long before the operation, there are several scenes show that wei yi very sick. well, that just what i can remember if i am not mistaken. if you like, you can watch it again and see if it is true, that wei yi had already sick.

I've just seen the Silence ad. on ThaiTV3. I'm so excited to watch it again although I have watched it ten times already HAHA. And the title name in Thai lang. is very touch, meaning in Eng lang. is [Love miracle from the star] I love it. ^^

I think Thai Fans who never watch Silence will fall in love with Vic again since they did when Mars aired.

yes i know that, but those stomachaches were just like normal pain we have, and since his condition was quite serious, he should have been having MORE and even severe achings... (I sound very evil for wanting him to ache more yeah? ) it was quite a quick jump when Han Xin announced that his cancer was now in a lethal situation already...

As far as I know, liver cancer will show the condition when it comes to the last period of it. So you can't know that you are facing this cancer until you have the abnormal stomach ache. When Qi Weiyi knew that he were suffering the liver cancer, he lost the spirit to live and that make his symtom go worse. And that is the last period of his life. You can see him has the very bad sick in episode 6, 10, 11,14,17,18 and 19. But his symtom wasn't ike he HAS TO have the stomach ache all the time ( I'm very appreciated the script writer in how he/she found the detail of this cancer.) Hope you understand ^^. If have more question you can ask me ^^

Yeah. You are right, aspire. I like this film especially that they are doing some research about the illness. And the illness that Qi Wei Yi should suffered was so real. I do not know much about medical, but it seems so real for me. Yeah...I am wondering too about the liver cancer and it symptom. What the people that got this cancer will end up then? I am curious about that. Hahaha....just want to know more.

LIVER CANCER-Hepatic tumors are tumors or growths on or in the liver (medical terms pertaining to the liver often start in hepato- or hepatic from the Greek word for liver, hepar). These growths can be benign or malignant (cancerous). They may be discovered on medical imaging (even for a different reason than the cancer itself), or may be present in patients as an abdominal mass, hepatomegaly, abdominal pain, jaundice, or some other liver dysfunction.

THERE ARE MANY FORMS OF LIVER TUMORS::

Malignant (cancerous):
Most cases are metastases from other tumors, frequently of the GI tract (like colon cancer, carcinoid tumors mainly of the appendix, etc.), but also from breast cancer, ovarian cancer, lung cancer, renal cancer, prostate cancer, etc.
The most frequent, malignant, primary liver cancer is hepatocellular carcinoma (also named hepatoma, which is a misnomer because adenomas are usually benign).
More rare primary forms of liver cancer include cholangiocarcinoma, mixed tumors, tumors of mesenchymal tissue, sarcoma and hepatoblastoma, a rare malignant tumor in children. There is curretly no cure.

Enjoyed 1st half when it was funny. 2nd half the funny antics disappeared, and this became my 1st TW drama to watch with a remote control for fast fwding. The production resembles KR melodramas where "the memory replay" technique is constantly replayed. Since I prefer light-hearted shows, this didn't make it into my favourites. But I can still imagine many others enjoying this and have recommended to friends.

I have a question when the mean girl(don't know her name) find that the girl(principale) was in fact her dad's daugther, is it mean that the girl and wei yi are brother and sister?

Silence is a great series. It is the first Taiwanese series I've seen. After watching this series, I became a really big fan of Vic Chou. He is so calm, mature, and cute in this series. I also enjoy and love the romantic scense between the main actress and Vic. I really hated the other guy and how he was trying to come between them.

The acting in this series is great. Although the ending was sad, it didn't disapoint me much. Yet, after it ended, I became very depressed for two weeks. I think it was because the ending was very touching, the moment was so sad that no words can describe. This series also made me realize that being alive is the most important. My only wish for this series is that....Vic didn't end up the way he did at the end.

Well, I agree with you with this because fast forwarding this show was what I had been doing when I watch this show... I think the show is not originally that long, but due to all the 'memory replays' it becomes long... those are the parts I don't really like about the show...


Well, kinda confused with what you're saying... the mean girl WAS Wei Yi's sister, half sister in fact... whereas the main female lead was not related to Wei Yi, so yes, they can love each other...

i really loved this sries..i like how they incorporated the korean actress into the series since she really cant speak manrain, so they made her a mute.

vic- wow, i jsut think his acting skills improved so much, his cryng skills were fabluous, and always, he's very good looking..lols

park- i think she used her body and face to communicate and i think tht not a lot of actresses can do that, and she did this part pretty well

andy hui- i've seen this guy act in a lot of hk series/movies, and hear tons of his songs, so i am a fan. basically he's supose to be hated by the public b/ he's the man who was trying to keep park from ever leaving him. he did that. didnt ike the fact that he kept switiching from mandarin then cantonese, vne though i understand both, it was just weird

most of Taiwanese drama don't have tragic ending like this, those happen only in Kdramas. i love this story because its so unique

this drama showed have good is Vic in acting

while watching you might need a box of tissue coz for sure it'll make you cry buckets

i love this series because ZAI ZAI is there and her leading lady here is pretty. they look good together.

one comment though... ZAI ZAI looks very haggard in the series, his thinness shows off. i like his body built in MARS.

Park's performance in tis was brilliant. Hard to believe that she can't understand Mandarin. (Power of translators) Zaizai does a good 'man in pain', unlike some other Taiwanese actor (not pointing fingers). The first time I saw Andy Hui here, he felt so out of place. I'm more used to seeing him in HK films and dramas.

Loved the music in this series.

Yes i feel that too... And I feel weird that he kept speaking Cantonese in the show... I don't remember the show saying that he's from Hong Kong or somewhere else but he spoke in Cantonese so often...

for me.i liked it when he spoke in cantonese..maybe cuz i cant understand mandarin w/o looking at the chinese subs to fully understand it..but when andy spoke in cantonese..i felt like i could connect w/ the series.

Well, I know it is alright to hear Andy speaking in Cantonese, but I find it weird that he speaks cantonese in a Chinese series... All the while they were speaking Mandarin and suddenly a few lines of Cantonese appear, kinda my brain... hehe...

I think this series go tme depressed. At first I was wondering why I don't feel pity; the characters are crying and I'm just watching, unmoved. I think I was unconciously saving tears for the last episode. That was heartbreaking! I wanted to do something! Oh well, nevertheless, I had a great time and I feel this series was good.

Well, I wouldn't say it's the best Taiwanese drama but it definitely worths watching... There are times when it makes you feel warm and happy with the progress of the story, and there are times you will cry along with the characters... Haha... at least that's what I did towards the ending of the show... I got to say Vic's acting really improved a lot after Mars and Meteor Garden...

haha good! b/c his acting in mg1 was so...neutral. he had the same expression for like everything, with some really bad fake emotions thrown in here and there. a bit better in mg2. glad to hear he got better
