I just finished this series. I luv it!!! except the ending was sad, but it was good up until the end. This series got me obsessed with zaizai.

this is my first post in this thread..... i think SHEN QING MI MA is at the moment Zhou Yu Min's best drama so far...... his acting has really improve a lot especially in the crying scenes and when hes in pain..... but when he walks and smile or gets serious, his character HUA ZE LEI comes back in my mind........ but i really like him very much in this drama...... and Park Eun Hye, im not sure if this is the right spelling, as Shen Shen is also good...... she is cute and pretty......

Hi XoxoXoxo - who is she? Is she the female lead? Is she also in Jewel in the Palace? Ye, Vic Z is so hot there. He just look as if he lost a little weight. I like the female lead, very pretty.

yea park eun hye is the female lead i believe. she plays the mute girl. she is korean, but she doesnt really need to speak in this series until the end.

Hi burusteph - thanks for your reply. Ye, she's the female lead. When I saw her in this drama, I was telling myself, she looks like a Korean & gosh, she is! Because she's pretty. Really, so, she wasn't able to restore her voice until the end? Actually, I'm up to episode 18 of this drama & I was feeling sad throughout the whole episodes. I read some spoiler here that it's a sad ending. I'm a sucker for happy-ending stories but mainly because of Vic Z I watch this series.

I really cant wait for it,i even marked all the calendars here at home so that ill never foget it even though i know i will never forget it just to make sure. Im currently watching Silence again for the 14th time & its still makes me cry!

love_zaizaiwookie, yes. i'm from Phils. like you, i've have watched silence several times already. and i still cry no matter how i try to distract myself from watching the final episode. like, i would munch chichiria, get water to drink, go to the cr, stretch my body, etc., just not to concentrate since i'm so familiar with the scenes, anyway. just to avoid crying again. but no success. the truth is, i don't want to miss any part of it, yeah.

zaicookie-haha we're the same,i also tried hard not to cry but didnt succeed Silence is really so touching & even if u have watched the whole series you still want to watch it over & over again & you will still cry seeing the sad & painful episodes,laugh at the funny parts & sometimes get mad at some characters specifically ZhuoGe,the secretary & Qi Wei Yi's stupid & cold dad!

Im really a solid fan of Silence specially the tandem of VicHye they totally rocks!

ME too!!! I've watched SILENCE for 3 times already I'm on my 4th now. I just can't help but to watch it again and again. I love Zai Zai's performance there. Specially the emotion in his eyes. I didn't expect that he's eyes could really speak. I was SHOCKED!

I would really love to watch it in the Philippine TV but sadly I don't have QTV channel. I don't know why we don't have it here in Cag. de Oro. I hope my Filipino friends could watch it also on TV.

love_zaizaiwookie - we really have the same sentiments about Silence. i read in one of your posts that your most favorite scene is when shen shen gained back her voice and called vic's name and said "wo ai ni". then vic said "i know", before falling into the pool. and another one is the dying scene till that part when shen shen put the earphone (ipod) in vic's ear and listened together their song "Try to Remember". these are exactly my most favorite scenes, too!!! that in the pool, and the dying part. when vic said "i will miss you" and "next time i will not leave you early" my tears are already falling heavily and when his hand fell down and shen shen laid beside him and turned on the ipod,... and the song, wahhhhhhh. it's the summit of my crying time. anyway, be ready for Silence next monday, i'm sure you won't forget it. it's a date.

ecenterprise - so sorry for you not to have qtv in your place. like what you said, vic's eyes speak. his emotions are controlled but you can feel them. exactly the feeling of the character he's portraying. i really admire his acting, and his singing, too. and ofcourse, he is soooo handsome. who knows, some fans might up load Silence in you tube tagalog version. then, you can watch it there. good luck.

zaicookie-hehe zaizai's fans really have the same taste. All scenes of Silence are really touching thats why its my #1 fave taiwan series of all time!

ECENTERPRISE-dont worry ill ask some of my cousins & friends from cagayan if they have qtv & if they have ill ask what channel & ill tell it to you so that you can also watch Silence.

Oh by the way i saw the a small trailer of Silence just a few hours ago Vic's name is Johnny & i think Park Eun Hye's name is Carol i also heard a small dubbed voice of Vic & Hye to be honest the dubbed voice sucks Hye's voice is kinda irritating but of course im still going to watch it coz i just love Silence.

Girls! let as support SILENCE in QTV so that it won't end up being cut. Like what happened to City of Sky. QTV cut some episodes(take note episodes not scenes). Just to finish it.
I learned this through some City of Sky fans watching QTV. They were really frustrated.
QTV is competing with ABS-CBN and GMA right? so it must be difficult to rate.
Anyway, those who could watch it, enjoy it coz its one amazing drama.

Oh so thats why i remember some scenes from City of the Sky that was kinda skipped. They also cut some episodes & scenes from Zaizai's series Mars which also made lots of filipino zaizai fans mad (im one of those people that get mad).

No Problem ECENTERPRISE Zaizai fans & Silence fans should help each other right? Im still trying to contact some of my friends in cousins in Cagayan about Qtv.

Wow Silence just finished airing its first episode a few min. ago & its so great its just that the dubbing really sucks!

i really love this serie but i found it a little bit slow and there are too many flashbacks during the whole story! so a little bit boring!

waaaahh im really addicted to silence.. vic and park really has GREAT chemistry..even though that theyre from different countries.. :) i still feel something connects them :) haaaaaay

hmm.. according to my not so good memory, I think three times.
The first was the fake 2006 Christmas kiss, 2nd was the force kiss (looks like Wei Yi is trying to rape Shen Shen) the third was the kiss near the bridge while crying. So.. nice

Actually 4 scenes HEHE Add the scene when WeiYi and SS live together ^^ So sweet. That scene is very romantic and intimate.

Silence was shown here in the Philippines and I really get hooked with it. Zaizai and Park Eun Hye make a very cute couple. I love seeing them together in the series. I think I should buy a copy of it.

i really love SILENCE park and vic are really a match for each other. i love the way vic hugs park in the series :) i dunno why but im sort of anti vic and barbie (but i like barbie too) sorry to the fans of vic and barbie. weeee.. 4 kissing scenes?? waaaaaaaah ur killing me!

i just finished this and i LOVED it.
i think the one thing i REALLY didn't like was how they kept flashing back soooo many times - i mean i know the 'lucky star' concept is important, but they don't need to show us that flash back 5x per episode haha.
but wahhh. i cried so much at the end!

how come she got her voice back for like 2 minutes? b/c after that scene at the pool, i noticed she didn't say anything else.

Haha... I'm also puzzled with this. But I think the voice she had at that time was just temporary. Her emotion just broke her silence for a moment then went back to being a mute.

Oh,, Yeah... how could I forget that... those were the happiest days of Wei Yi and Shen Shen.
So there are 4 kissing scenes in all. hehe...



And then Wei Yi sang.... It was a performance right from his heart... remember Shen Shen has always been asking him to sing but he always refuses it. But when he thought that it would be his last chance, he sang it even with pain. Soo sweet and touching... made me cry also...

This drama is really great! I love the cast! Vic-Eun Hye!

do you guys remember the hand sign for lucky star? and they said if you just do that sign with one hand, then it means anticipation. i thought it was funny that that hand sign means anticipation in chinese, but it means i love you in american sign language. so 2 english 'i love you's equal a lucky star

hmm.........i've never like barbie and vic...but,since i've watched silence...i like vic and park eun hye...so cute together....i like the story line..but,why vic must die???i'm crying so much at the ending until i've embrassed myself bcoz..my mother saw i'm crying in my room(i forgot close the door bcoz i'm listening 2 the silence's ending song-shou xi de wen rou in my mp4-if i'm not wrong)but, ifeel that i'm too emotional that day.....

i feel just like that i want 2 cover up my face....(my mother saw my crying face and felt really shocked especially,my little sister came into my room too(thanks God that she don't understand anything))huuhuhuhuhu......

that last scene where shenshen was "singing" along to 'try to remember' was really cute.

This series gives out all the emotions I have...specially when I'm carried away by the scene...

I have never, ever cried for a drama until now and I've seen my share of dramas. Vic Zhou and Park Eunhye have this chemistry that just makes the drama feel real. The way they look at each other... The way he smiles at her... The way he holds her hand... it was a very wonderful drama. I think I cried throughout the whole thing. I even cried during the happy parts because of the inevitable... I hope they come out with a DVD set of the drama with English subtitles.

It was a fake Christmas. Wei Yi made it to fulfill his promise to Shen Shen about the 2006 Christmas . Because he knows that he won't be able to make it on the real Christmas day.
The last scenes where Shen Shen read the letter and sang the song (through hand gestures was the real "Christmas Day".

well that i knew... but movie started as the year 2006... around september they went to QINGDAO and that was when they told her HER appt with he doctor will be in FEB but then all of a suddendly celebrated valentines and christmas didn't even pass by yet except the fake one... am i jux confused?

haha.. Now I'm confused... I never tried to analyze the dates. Was it really September? cos if its September then Wei Yi could still reach December since 3 months after Sept is Dec. The Feb, they were talking about is still Feb. of next year. Now... I'm thinking...the dates are mixed up.... should I consider it a flaw or someone else could explain here?

Never sat down to analyze the events & date though will do so at my next round of re-watching this beautifully sad drama. I suppose one has to suspend logic in drama land. One thing that really didn't make sense was ZSS's clothing durings December 2006. It's winter in Taiwan in December and freezing cold AND she's wearing such thin clothings o_O ?
