well, just got back from summer school. i had "Butterfly Grave" stuck in my head the whole time, but it was only SeungHee's parts that were stuck in my head. @_@ it was crazy, it kept repeating over and over again and wouldn't stop.

and i feel slightly embarrassed to be saying this, but the only thing that kept me awake the whole time was...Nathan (and er, his abs). it'd immediately re-energize me. it was kinda funny after awhile.

Group "TAKE" Releases Album in China

The male quartet "TAKE," which won popularity for its song "Tomb of Butterflies" last year, has advanced into the Chinese market by releasing an album there.

The album that was released on Apr. 15 features a total of 13 songs -- 12 songs that had been released in Korea before, including "Tomb of Butterflies" and "Two Girls," and a Chinese-version of "Tomb of Butterflies."

The album was released by Starwin Culture Communication Co., a large album production agency in China which has also produced albums for singers Rain and Jang Woo-hyuk.

Nathan Lee, a member of TAKE, will pose as a model for the jacket of a new album of popular Chinese singer Liu Jialiang (25). Liu made the headlines when singer Shin Seung-hun became his producer.

An official from TAKE's agency Sedona Media said, "Hong Kong female singer Guan Xinyan visited Korea last winter. After her fascination with TAKE's music was reported by Chinese and Hong Kong media outlets, TAKE was made an offer by the Chinese album agency to produce their album."

The Korean male group “Take” made a successful debut in China.

The group recently presented live acapella songs during chatting sessions on the Chinese online portals “Sina.com” and “Sohu.com,” captivating Chinese music fans. Some 10,000 people have visited the group's blog on Sina.com only one week after its launch.

Some Chinese fans were so fascinated by the group’s live acapells singing skills that they even came to Korea. Some 10 Chinese fans visited the agency of the group in early June in order to meet the members of the group. The group sang songs live at an impromptu concert held for the visiting fans at the office of the agency.

“Take” held a showcase concert marking the release of its album and a press conference in Beijing in May, gaining explosive popularity. It also took part in a benefit concert held in Shanghai in June.

The Korean group’s huge popularity there has led Chinese music and entertainment magazines to cover the group as their special features. It remains to be seen how much popularity the Korean group will continue to enjoy in the country.

OMG! It's take! What's been up with them lately? anyone knows? I saw them on this Chinese music performance with Jang Woo Hyuk in it! gahh they were so hot.

I recently learned about them. I listened to some of their songs and they are awesome singers. Their voices blend in well, creating a nice harmony. I can't believe they're so underrated... and they debuted back in 2003. I listened to Gemini, the Chinese version and their Chinese is so well pronounced. I could understand them. Anyway, I'm glad that Nathan is doing a drama for a Chinese-Korean co-production, "Angel will replace me to love you" adapted from a book. The book is very good and sad, but I hope that the drama can also be as good. I can't wait to watch the drama!!!

I just recently found out about this group as well. And the Butterfly Grave is not their second album, it's actually their First Single. They made one Album in 2003, and then they made a Single in 2005. I'm very looking forward to their second album!

Take Signs Contract with Chinese Company
December 4, 2006

The new four-man group Take has signed a two-year contract with Chinese entertainment company Kona Media & Entertainment for 1 billion won, or some 1 million US dollars, according to the group's agency Sedona Media on Monday.

Having released its single album “Take It All” simultaneously in Korea and China on Dec. 1, the group will begin activities in earnest in China under the new contract. The members will also appear on TV and advertisements to expand their activities to other Chinese-speaking nations.

The Chinese company said it decided to sign the contract because they saw potential in the Korea group. “The group is like a blue chip. It has gained quite a bit of popularity in China although it has not been long since it began its activities here. We believe that it will become the most popular group in China in the future,” it added.

Meanwhile, Lee Seung-hyeon, a member of the group, has been cast for a leading role in the Chinese Shandong satellite TV drama “An Angel Will Love You Instead of Me.”
