Ekin Cheng was in Taiwan promoting his TVB drama that is airing at 7 TVBS-G, "Always Ready." When the mdeia asked him about his love life, including HK idol Niki Chow, Ekin replied that they are only good friends. When ex-girlfriend Gigi Leung was mentioned and if they will go back to her, Ekin said: "the past is the past, what remains is the memories."

Ekin Cheung is a really cool actor indeed, and i really like him as an actor... I just wish that he doesn't film so many of those gangster movies etc, because it really portray him with a bad image... I love Ekin alot in "The Zu Mountain Saga", i reckon he was really cool in there in both acting the good and the bad role.... Ekin Cheng has been in the film industry for many years, finally he had won best actor for the "Rule#1" in Korea's "12th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival" (PIFAN Korean Movie Awards). The 21st Tokyo International Film Festival will commence on 18 October in Japan. The film 親密 "Claustrophobia" directed by gold award winner Ivy Ho has been short listed for the nomination. It was nominated for: best film, best director, best actress and best actor. Therefore, Ekin and Karena may have a chance to win an award. Ekin and Karena both congratulated Ivy Ho, the director.

Karena Lam is in mainland China at the moment but she spoke to reporters and thanked the director for giving her the role as an office girl. Ekin is happy for the director, but he does not have high hopes for winning the title.

"Claustrophobia" is a typical love story directed by Ivy Ho. The film lasted longer than 90 minutes; there are only 5 main characters including Ekin, Karena Lam and Andy Hui.

Ekin Cheng attended a press conference in Olympian City for the "2008 United Nation Children's Fund Charity Run " yesterady. Charlie Yeung and Ekin Cheng were attended the activities for the "World Wide Fund for Nature : Witness to The Actions of The Marine Ceremony" The two were doing a special programme about protecting the environment in Ocean Park. It will be aired in TVB later on.

Charlie started learning diving last year. She disclosed that if she has time next year, she may go to the Philippine to take the diving test there. "I love the sea since I was small. I used to go to the seaside no matter I was upset or happy. In the past, I found the beaches in HK were very dirty. As a matter of fact, the beaches in Hong Kong are beautiful. I hope people would treasure it. When I was filming with Jacky Chan, he would go round to collect rubbish. I am now influenced by him, I pick rubbish up in the street. The Storm Rider II has returned to the cinema after 10 years.

Gigi and Ekin still good friends despite splitting up 2 years ago

Posters and trailers of mega movie for 2009 "The Storm Warriors" have been exposed recently. Aaron Kwok and Ekin Cheng's images as "Cloud" and "Wind" respectively are portrayed as both evil and upright. At the same time, both their characters this time round have more layers and greater depth.

"Young and Dangerous" raised Ekin Cheng to fame, but a love triangle between him, Maggie Sui and Gigi Leung, brought his career down to rock bottom. Ekin Cheng not admitting living with Yoyo Mung
