It was composed and arranged by Chan Kwong Wing. Lyrics by Wong Wai Man. It sounded so much like his older songs. I love it !

After three years of not releasing any records, Ekin Cheng has signed for the seven figure sum of $8,888,888 with BMG. In order to mark Ekin's return to his former record company, they will be holding a large welcoming party next week for him and releasing his first record for him next month.

Upon hearing the news of his return to BMG, Ekin's old buddy Jordan Chan hopes that he can rebuild the brotherly team. He says: "I am happy that Ekin is returning to BMG because I can lose the status of being the only singer left in the company. I hope that I can work together with him in the future." Ekin has been building up his strength in the movie industry over the last few years, but he has still been pratising hard with his singing skills and attending singing lessons. I can't really say that Ekin's acting is exceptional and i don't reckon he's anywhere to win a Golden Horse. Ironically, some of my fave movies do have Ekin as lead eg Stormriders, Tokyo Raiders, Legend of Speed, Goodbye Mr Cool and of course his ever lasting impression as Chan Ho Nam in the Young and Dangerous series.

By the way, the only Ekin album that i bought belong to the Youung and Dangerous soundtrack.. '

(7/26/2004) Dior "Ekin" Cheng Yi Kin yesterday held an autograph session at a record store. The disk has become the store's top seller this week. His first autograph session ten years ago was held at the same store, thus he chosen the same spot. Recently many artists have flocked to work on pictorial collections. Ekin said, "If I have to I won't choose their format. I am so many scars from work. I am hyperactive, when I have a new scar, the other scars would expand. Cosmetic surgery can take care of it, but three months later they will be back."

As one of the stars of the film SAM CHA HAU (THREE FORKED ROAD), Ekin only said about girlfriend Gigi Leung Wing Kei's music video pirating the film set, "Just shoot it over! We will see whose fault it is. Whoever it is has to compensate the cost of the reshoot. The worst part is I don't know where the set is, otherwise I definitely will tell her not to shoot there!"

(8/25/2004) Filmko's new film SIX STRONG MEN (LOK JONG SI) has been scheduled for an early September release. The cast, the producer and the director two days ago began a series of promotion in Beijing.

The group arrived in the Hong Kong International Airport at 7AM, then went through a 8 hour series of promotions in Beijing, departed Beijing at 11PM and returned to Hong Kong at 3AM. Hacken Lee Hark Kun and Karena Lam Ka Yun both expressed that they have never had so much work in their career, but they felt that this promotional tour was very fulfilling. Lam Ka Yun said, although she was ver tired when she returned to Hong Kong, but highlight of the day kept playing in her mind and she took a long time before getting to sleep.

The film company has spent six figures to promote the film. The press conference took place at a Beijing hotel and attracted over 100 media outlets. The leads were asked about the shoot and the local media even asked them to posed in the Wong Fei Hung trademark pose to promote SIX STRONG GUYS. Lam Chi Cheung was excited to hear that and even hummed the ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA theme song NAM YI DONG JI KEUNG. Ah Lam said that if he knew he would have appeared in traditional Chinese wear. Only Candy Lo Hau Yam wore a traditional Chinese dress.

After the cast, the producer and the director had their group photo opportunity, the event arranged for reporters to pose for photos and conduct interviews in five suites. Because all the rooms looked the same and the hotel hallway had many turns, the cast soon lost its direction. Chapman To Man Jat and producer Lawrence Cheng Tan Shui also needed hotel employees to play guides to get out of the "maze".

During the promotion fans followed their idols the whole time. Dior Cheng Yi Kin, Andy Hui Chi On, Lam Ka Yun and To Man Jat's fans were the most amazing. They not only held up banners and chanted their idols' names, some Ekin fans also rushed the restricted area of the Beijing airport. Ekin honestly appreciated the fans' passionate support but also hoped that they would pay attention to safety to prevent any accident from occurring.

Dior [Ekin] Cheng Yi Kin and Jordan Chan Siu Fung two nights ago guest starred in the TVB series HEART OF FENCING 2 (CHET SA YUN GEI @ SEI YIP CHO 2). They played badminton. Ekin said, "We guest starred because we have known each other for ten years and have quite a bond. Siu Chun and I came up with the story. (Can you play?) With both left and right arms!" Siu Chun said, "I can with my legs too! Aside from soccer I have interest in badminton too."

Ekin Cheng prepared all the anti-theft devices, Friday October 1, 2004 Hong Kong

Frankie Lam and Kenix Kwok's home in Sai Kung's Marina Cove was broken into earlier and losses amounted to over a million dollars. Filming yesterday for new series "King of Herbal Medicines", Frankie was still rather upset when he was asked about this: "The worst thing was that I finished work early that evening and when I got home at 1am, I was planning to have a good night's sleep, but then we found the place was in a mess and after the police had taken fingerprints and filed a case, it was already past 4 am and we both had to start work at 6am the next morning, so we had to go back to TVB City without getting any sleep. Everything has been sorted out now and we are just waiting for the insurance company to pay out. I have even added a burglar alarm system and a safe to the house."

As their wedding rings were stolen, the couple are preparing to replace them and Kenix laughs: "I don't think we will buy exactly the same design as before, maybe a new design will look even better."

Frankie's neighbour Ekin Cheng had already prepared all the anti-theft devices when he moved in. He smiles: "If the burglars come and break into my house, then they will lose out because there is just a plant and a cat. My home also has a high-tech security system and once when I went out to sea, I turned on the security and when I returned from the jetty I set off the alarm system. It was so smart that it called the police immediately and the siren could be heard across the whole of Marina Cove. Frankie should get one of these."

i just really like him!!! =) especially for his role in the young and dangerous series...i LOVED that series!! =) and i also remember reading somewhere that he's actually a pretty nice guy, down to earth, and really brave. like he does all the stunts in action scenes himself w/o a stunt double!! true dexterity =)

I think Ekin is great. He's starting to come back into the music scene now. It's a shame really because he probably could have won the best male award by now if he didn't have that affair with Gigi. He's being loadsa movies but I think they are only average. He's songs are really good and the compilation Cd he released during the summer is great cos it has all the greatest hits he released before. The new song "Sum chiu" is a really catchy song. Must listen to it!

Did you not know? Before he went out with Gigi, he was going out with Siu Mei Kei (think her english name is Maggie Siu) for like over 10 years. Maybe "affair" is the wrong word to use but he cheated on her and dumped her for Gigi. This was well reported over the media at the time and the popularity of both Gigi and Ekin dropped dramatically. Many people hated Gigi at the time as she was the one blamed for breaking up Ekin and Siu Mei Kei's relationship. Siu Mei Kei was really upset at the time and think she had to take some time out from the industry.

This X-mas i will fly to HK and want ask you guys how i can meet Ekin. He is my fav actor with Leon Lai and Louis Koo. I know to meet Louis and Leon is very difficult but i hope i can meet Ekin. Last time i met him was at the Heatrow Airport in London. He shooting a film with Charlene Choi ( My wife isn't 18 years old). He was very nice and we made 2 photos from him. Actually, isn't Ekin in his late 30s. I don't think he has reached 40 yet. Something like 37 or 38 if I remember correctly. I agree that he still looks pretty young. In fact, I don't think his looks have changed that much.

Not sure if this is the movie that you are looking for but Ekin Cheng is in it with Gigi Leung and Jordan Chan. Its called "愛上百份百英雄" or "We Are No Bad Guys" in english. You can find it at yesasia.com. I think they were also in "Feel 100%" (百分百感覺) and "Feel 100% Once More". I don't think they were a couple in those two though.
