minivicki, the news about them being seen together (which was kindly translated by tammiest) was about them meeting up with mutual friends but the reporters suspected otherwise. And far-fetch, but anything is possible since J-Star usually collab with Tangerine people in dramas, right? (i.e. AQMFS, ENAC, etc)

Vanadia, that was funny that you had to correct yourself. I finally made it to the "Jk" stage so hopefully, I'll remember to type "Jake" next time. And haven't watch the show yet. (I'm actually dl-ing it now since I want to do caps later.) Saw that Sam and Qiao Qiao on the show as well from some various pixs. It must have been fun. JK really looked very good these days, boyish and cute. Maybe it has got to do with his brave public acknowledgement of his past mistake. He must have felt so relieved after that, thus his pretty face now . He probably felt that he owed his fans (ONLY his fans) an apology and explanation. He definitely did not bother about those who dislike and judge him. Infact, JK should consider himself LUCKY for not having 'a certain type of people' as his fans.

Honestly, regarding that matter (if we still want to beat dead horses, lol), I only think he owe his family an apology for causing pain and grief for them. (And possibly himself for letting go.)

since his comeback Ive noticed Jk has been wearing very respectable gear instead of those shirts with a deep V to show off his physique Sometimes in my opinion those were a bit sleazy But now that hes wearing scarfs and jackets I think he gets very hot! And has to pull out a handkercheif! LOLZZ

Well JK has apologised for past behaviour over and over and even sang 'Forgive Me' as his comeback song on 1 Million Stars And he seems to be living very quietly and respectably and running a wine and sushi bar etc

The best way he can apologise to us fans in my opinon is to go on building up his career and bring out a solo album And I hope he still says sorry to his mother She is the one who has probably suffered the most I remember that interview where he said when she visited him in rehab she cried coming in and cried going out...

LOL! Glad I'm not the only obsessed one. Anyway, I was wondering about the solo album too! My neck is getting longer (lol) or maybe I'm just plain impatient since those things do take time after alll.

'Clothes maketh the man' - I guess he is trying to make amends so at least he has to start off with his appearance first. He has to make sure he dresses respectably and decently to give off a good vibe. Definitely no Fernando's V necks! Anyway, V necks or not, he always look very good and stylish. LOL, we're discussing Jacky's wardrobe now? Hehe, just kidding... I'll (sort of) join in... I also think he's dressing a lot nicer these days... and there's actually something very noticeably different about him as well. His face looks softer, younger, nicer. While my sister was watching him on Bai Wan Da Ge Xing, she actually said that he looks a lot less "full of himself" (her words) and is subsequently a lot more attractive and "cute" now. And I have to say that I agree! Jacky's much more attractive when he's not as aware of himself... he's looking really ADORABLE these days!

I'm probably not as big a Jacky fan as some of you girls, but I have to say that I'm really happy that he's changed for the better. He's a good-looking, talented guy... so let's just hope/pray for his success (and a new album)

I played with Photoshop today. I guess it should really count as my "first" time... the only other thing I ever used Photoshop for (prior to today) was basically making (and doing) watermarks... I didn't start off with Jacky's pictures, but I wound up playing with a few of them by the end of the night. The graphics are pretty n00b-ish, but they were fun to make, hehe

Yay, just watched Tian Cai Chong Chong Chong (minus the last segment... which I'll watch tomorrow). You guys beat me to posting about it... there's another show I'm going to post about tomorrow, though Bahaha.

Anyways...

They usually give Wang CaiHua (the woman with whom he was paired) hard phrases. Trust me, hers were much harder than any of the other people's... and they didn't give Jacky any special treatment. I'm wondering whether or not he offended any of the workers/etc. back when he was in 183Club... 'cause the hosts are usually slightly nicer to people who are ABC's... or who grew up outside of Taiwan. But they didn't really give him any second chances in the first game... despite letting Makiyo's terrible answers slide by a BUNCH of times. And they gave him super-hard questions in the ABC Charades segment... I'm thinking my Chinese is probably comparable to his (I can probably read more, but he probably understands more), and I would have had trouble coming up with those... I wouldn't have had trouble with the others at all.

Or maybe that was just a side effect, and it was really just because he was paired with Wang CaiHua. I mean, they did pull that prank on her later...

And as for the clothes... Well, the first segment... they always have sort of "uniforms" for that game. But they don't for the other games, so that's when/where they always wear their own clothes. Argh, I know we've been saying it over and over again, but Jacky looks SUPER-ADORABLE these days. I was practically squealing over him (seriously, I found that I had a smile on my face every time he was on-screen), and my mom said he looked like a little boy.
I LOVE the new Jacky.
And I love his voiceee! He was so goodddd... singing Emil Chau and-- I think-- Z-Chen Chang *sighs* AiLiSi (Iris), one of the hosts, was like "You have to release a CD! It would be such a pity if you didn't."
And then Zeng GuoCheng was like, "If you don't release a CD, then I'm sick."

And Jacky looked so cute and happy!

Seriously, I like him more and more each time I see him. I hope he makes friends with some of these guys... Zeng GuoCheng and Hsu NaiLing are considered relatively powerful in the entertainment circle... it couldn't hurt to have a few friends in high places

I was getting confused at the first segment but now that you said it, it made sense with how Jacky gets kick out faster than Makiyo.

At the end of Part 10 after Jacky sang, one of the male hosts commented that Jacky is the best among 183club members! we all knew that! YuRong, needless to say is the runner up . I think I can only safely name the 1st and 2nd lolz .

Anyway, I don't think Jacky has offended anyone in the past but even if he did, it probably was not something so serious or negative such that would have people remember it till now and in some seemingly really bad case, people kept bringing it up time and time again anywhere and at any opportunity.

No matter how good one is at singing or acting, no one is indispensable and Jacky knew just that and he is doing very well so far . No matter what, the media, tv hosts and professionals within the entertainment circle etc could play a big part in a celebrity's success. I reckon the entertainment industry is not for the stubborns and unrepentents "This is me. I say and do what I like. I am not a hypocrite". I believe Jacky is smart and sensible . Go Jacky!

Translation of the tabloid article about JK and the ghosts

Ive edited this post cos my friend JT from my old work has translated the article about the ghosts!!!

"Jacky missed the last ship to Racha Island, so he had to stay in Phuket for
one night. In the hotel, his room was the last one in the corridor. There
was a door that connected with the other room. He was told there was no one in
the next room. Anyway, he went out on the street, and met some gay men who wanted
to sleep with him. He felt disgusted and went back to the hotel.

During the night, he heard the sound from the TV coming from the next room. He was confused, and opened the door which connected both rooms. As he walked in, the TV was
off, but the light was on. And the TV came on again right after he came back to his
room. Then he did it again, the same thing happened again!

Jacky was sacred, and started to pray. Also he said loudly in English to the other room, "Hi
brother, I don't know who you are, but I am very tired and trying to catch up
sleep, could you stop doing this to me?"

Interestingly, after he said this, the room was quiet. He guessed the ghost just wanted to play with him. The second day he still went on his trip to Racha."

My friend EW who sometimes translates for this thread has satelitte TV. She said she a few nights ago saw a program with Ming Dao on it and he spoke about jacky. She said it was some kind of opening ceremony or opening night--I couldnt figure out if she meant it was a televised live event or or the opening ep of some kind of show. She did say it featured both Taiwanese and mainland artists.

Anyways, I STILL have not gotten around to screencapping this... which is why I haven't posted about it. But I think you guys are already through waiting for me, so I'll just post the links (man, it took some time for me to find it on YouTube)...

Jacky appeared on 王牌鑑定團 [Wang Pai Jian Ding Tuan] (with a bunch of other Tangerine artists) several weeks ago. It's kind of a fortune-telling show? But not really. They have a "psychiatrist," a Chinese fortune teller, and... yeah, I already forget. The artists reveal secrets about themselves, and then the three people "analyze" them.
Personally, I really only like Jacky and Tang Feng in Tangerine, but I know a lot of you are fans of the others, so you should enjoy it! They reveal some of their "strange" habits... Errr, I would post about them briefly here, but it's all kind of off-topic...

Jacky's... you've all heard before. He gets really angry when people step on his shoes... he's obsessed with sneakers
His is the last secret of the episode, and then they bring out a special guest. The special guest knows a LOT about Jacky... and he says he's actually stepped on his shoes before. And he says that Jacky really likes to play with tissue (watch Jacky's hands closely as he's waiting for the guest to come out-- he's ACTUALLY playing with tissue! Hahaha)... and that he's "afraid" of him.

At first, Jacky thought it was ShaoWei (see? They are really close <3), but then it became obvious that it was actually his brother, James. He comes out, and he talks about Jacky's experience in rehab... and how, when he came back out, he and Jacky just hugged each other, and they all cried. It's actually really touching to see how much they care for each other... James is crying, and you can actually see tears in Jacky's eyes, too... although he tries to hold it in.

And then they end the episode by letting Jacky sing Yuan Liang Wo [Forgive Me] again.

So it looks like Tangerine is really serious about letting him come back... they're really pushing him to go on variety shows and show off his singing... and giving him opportunities to meet with his fans and, shall we say, do public "penance" for his mistakes.

Of course, I am/was sad that 183Club fell apart. But I think that the whole thing has happened for a reason, and I honestly do believe that Jacky is a better person for it... even if the road was tough...

About the show, I'll try to watch it and get back to discussing it later. But about Tangerine being serious about Jacky's comeback, I'm glad that they are doing it slowly each show to get everyone to see a new Jacky before taking bigger steps to resurrect his career.

Okay, that was too funny. When it was Jacky's turn - aka the shoe thing, everyone points to him before the hosts confirm that it's him. (LOL) I actually like how close they are to Jacky and all. Whether the others are likeable or not considering their behaviors sometimes, I'm glad that they're actually getting along with Jacky. (I almost forgot that both Jacky and Tang Feng are Leos, lol.)

Regarding the part at the end where James came out and what happened afterwards, it was way too touching. Yes, I have to confess that I did cry during that part as well. If anyone else were. (Some of the other guests were crying as well, i.e. Chen Yi and Ya Li.)

Haha, I don't believe in astrology... but it is kind of interesting that both their "habits" had to do with wanting to keep things clean... sort of. 'Cause Tang Feng said that he doesn't like to share his food or beverages. The girls all thought that was weird... but I didn't think it was out of line. Hygiene!!


Don't feel bad... I totally cried as well. I'm neither a fan nor a disliker of Chen Yi, but I thought it was really cute that he was moved by the scene between Jacky and his brother... It made me think that either there's already some affection between YaLi, Chen Yi, and Jacky... or that they're both just really nice, sensitive people

And yes, I agree that the "focus" of the show was on Jacky... a good chunk of it dealt with him, and the way they allowed him to come out and read a letter (I actually forget what it was I watched it too long ago... it was probably from his mother, though?)... and then sing... very nice.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the show! Hope everyone else will, too!
