I just found out today that Jacky left Jungiery! I am beyond shocked. How could SZ let the best singer of 183 club go? I love Ehlo and he's the reason I fell in love with 183 club but Jacky's voice is amazing.

No offense to their fans, but I don't think SW, MD, or XS can really sing. So now it falls on Ehlo's shoulder to carry 183 club's music....it's a lot of pressure.

Finding a replacement? I don't think I would have the same feelings about 183 club with a replacement.

I can understand why everyone's so sad about Jacky leaving 183 club (especially those coming to the news late). After all, all five of them were such a great team and did some fantastic things while they were still together, both in music and dramas. But now that Jacky and Jungiery have parted ways for what looks like good, I'm going to support Jacky as an artiste of Tangerine and look out for his new projects. And even though I don't dislike the other members of 183 club, I'm not really their fan, so while I'll always have a soft spot for them I can't see myself buying their music or getting tickets to their concerts or anything like that. Now I'm just going to concentrate on Jacky in Tangerine and cross my fingers for a role for him in a drama!

I'm finally back to watching Hi-Fly after the whole disappointment. His role's getting better again after some minor dramas. That's it for now. Too bad he wasn't second lead since the series' quite boring w/ that supposed "2nd lead" dude.

We're still waiting for further confirmation. But it's sorta "way-off" for that since his voice is so good, why would he use it to destroy himself? But then again - these past months 183 Club haven't perform much or like having been involve in lots of stuffs, especially Jacky so who knows. He really has a good voice and he makes effort to “beautify” the songs. One example is Zhen Ai, I noticed that he will hums in the beginning of the song – very beautiful. Whenever they sang live, he will do that, but if he is not round, the rest of 183 will just sing. But I likeYu Rong’s voice more. My favorite 183 song is Gan Qing Xian – Jacky and Yu Rong’s dynamic duet.

You know... I'm not sure how to take this drug report. Here are a few of my scattered thoughts on it.

1. I am NOT surprised that Jacky's done marijuana. We must remember that he's, essentially, from Canada... and that Canadians and Americans (their young people, anyways) alike generally think marijuana should NOT be considered a drug and, as such, should be made legal. Although I do NOT agree with this viewpoint, there are definitely those who would look at this piece of news and say, "What's the big deal?"
2. I AM sort of surprised that Jacky admitted to this... and didn't tack on a "What's the big deal?" Considering that he defiantly said that his clubbing (and, supposedly, womanizing) behavior is "no big deal because Western celebrities always do it," I would have expected that same line to re-surface here. So... kudos to Jacky for learning to hold his tongue and accept responsibility for this current scandal.
3. I'm confused by this rehab center thing... guess the Taiwanese take drug use very seriously. In the States, marijuana users are rarely sent to rehab because marijuana is not, in itself, INHERENTLY addictive. Although, like any bad habit, it's hard to break, there's no chemical that makes it difficult to quit, unlike cocaine or even nicotine.
4. ^^ Which leads me to worry that Jacky may have tried some other, more addictive and dangerous, drug (marijuana is largely considered to lead to other drug usage),

beckymd & tammiest, I agree with you guys that it actually takes some gut to actually admit. Maybe he really wants help, etc and start a new life. (Well, of course or else there's no way for him to make it anymore, especially with all the news flying around right now.) And tammiest, good point there that he didn't say "What's the big deal?" about the drug thing. I know! I mean there are lots of singers who sings good nowadays (aka like the people who's like is famous or getting lately, not targeting the older generation), but no one as good as Jacky (to me), 'cause he sings with so much feelings into the song and it's never over done. It's just the right amount for each to give its meaning.



There has been lots and lots of rumors rising before and after Jacky left J-Star, but the one that J-Star and other J-Star people has given to the public is actually "creative differences" or whatever it is. You know, both sides has different opinion and/or views on how to do things, etc. Other than that, other reasons was never confirmed since it's mostly newspapers and magazines taking advantage of the situation and write more "tales" in their own way.

I am imagining Jacky as Zi Yi Long Yang of the Ming Sect. Zi Yi Long Yang was one the four guards of the sect and the was the leader of the 4 guards just like how Jacky is the lead singer in 183. She also left the Ming sect just like Jacky left Jungiery. However, she was still close to and still cared about the other guards even after she left. She regarded them as her siblings just like I hope Jacky still feels about the rest of 183. THe good thing is even though she left at one point, she did come back later on..
