but that suit him actually and he acted pretty good..

But I think his characters are different each time although it might not be likeable. I mean in HWG, he's all gangster and tough. In AQMFS, he's a player but sorta funny at times when he's tryng be "Love Saint" or talking w/ the guys. In PTF, ummmmm - didn't watch that properly, only scanned through his scenes but he's sorta a bully in there, huh? *shrugs* Have you ever watch Hi-Fly yet? I think that was his first series. He was decent in t here for his first role. I really like him in there although t he character isn't perfect but he learned in there. He tried and failed but isn't a sore loser. Of course poor Jacky got slapped in there too! I was watching mostly for him in that one, but then I skipped around. He got married in there though. I need to go back and watch properly later the last half of the series since it was quite boring to endure since I only like Benny Chan Ho Man & Jacky in there.

Regarding Jacky as singer, he mentioned in an interview that he preferred singing also, lol. I agree since he gets to develop more in the area than acting.

I saw Hi-Fly earlier this year, and like you DTLCT I was pretty much only watching it for Jacky. Very different character to his other roles: he was a failed airline pilot, but he got the girl in the end (perhaps not the one he was originally proposing to, but he got one! Ah, these crazy dramas...). Then he went with his bride to live in Canada lol. As for the rest of the series, REALLY boring. The last 6 or so episodes were, for me, the most dragged out in any drama I've ever seen (especially when you knew from the outset who was going to wind up with who). Still, I guess it was worth it for those Jacky topless surfing scenes

Of course not. Benny Chan Ho Man was the main lead (which I'm fine with) and this one other dude was 2nd lead (which I don't think he's leading material or maybe his character is just too boring for me). Even my mom got bored with the series 'cause of the 2nd lead dude. She thought Jacky is 2nd lead, lol. Jacky has a better image and his hair is quite neat in there that's why (lol). Okay, back to topic - although Jacky wasn't lead but like Qapint mentioned, he got a happy ending. I really like his character in there though. It's funny how his name is Michael in there too since that's his name in PTIF (lol).

Yeah, two Michaels (not that dramas ever repeat themselves ) I remember in the 183 Club English Test Renfu called Jacky "Michael" when he was asking for the correct answer to a question. What really annoyed me about Hi-Fly though was they had plenty of opportunities to show off JK's talents, but didn't. For example, he said he'd help Benny's sister with her English and even flicked through her english textbook, but didn't say a word! And even though the opening of Hi-Fly shows him singing, he only played this tiny keyboard in the actual drama (maybe they cut a scene?) Anyway, annoying drama for me. If you're a die hard JK fan it's probably worth it to see him in a role where he is good as opposed to bad/playboy, but after he gets married in an ill-fitting white tuxedo he drops out of the soap completely! (Not that I'm bitter or anything )

Qapint, exactly! I know what you mean. I try to sit through like half of the series or something or at least up to the point where he got slapped by Tina then I had to skip around. And exactly my point! I was looking forward to see Jacky sing too or at least do something really cool. (He did surf but still no justice for his scenes.) I thought that he was going to sing at his bar or something but NO! Gah! And yes, I saw the trailer where there's a part he sings and there are some scenes where he proposed to what's her name? (Benny's sis) I thought he was singing during that scene or something. But the trailer was a bit fast when I saw the preview before I watch the series but GAH! Can't believe he didn't get to do anything like that. That would have been cool though.

about Hi-Fly i personaly think that the series is worth it just to see the surf scenes jacky wears these black and white floral board shorts with a kinda hawain pattern
he has a nice wardrobe in the series in another scene-i forget if it is with tina or bennys sister--he wears stonewashed jeans a t-shirt and a black leather jacket

i agree dtlct in the ending titles one time i thought i saw him singing on the stage of the club and i watched, well really i half slept thru all theses episodes, but he never sang He did play something jazzy on the keyboard and bennys sister likedit and clapped but thats it

in the series the boys from bennys fathers traditional dance school are in a band and try to sing some R &B songs really really bad i kept hoping jacky would take over and show them how to do it it was the kind of music he realy likes to sing

when he gets out of rehab i intend to support him i dont agree with drugs but he is entitled to some mistakes and i love his singing

I thought his wardrobe in this series is quite nice as well. It's quite decent actually. It's classy, but not vain like in PTIF or AQMFS. (Classy aka for the formal ones, lol - not the regular ones that he wear at times.)

Oh my gosh! I know! I thought it was just me wanting Jacky to sing so much that I'm bashing them! LOL! They are terrible! If it was good like some other band, I wouldn't object so much. I would have love to see Jacky go to the stage and demonstrate for them too or at least make up scenes where he taught them music lessons and/or singing lessons or something. Honestly, I would like the series a lot more if they divide the screen time better. I mean some scenes or plot are like quite repetitive with the traingles w/ Tina - Benny - Christine or the other one w/ Benny - Christine - the other guy. I know what you mean. I would had wish it wasn't true about the drug thing. But I guess now that he's in rehab - at least he's getting helped. And he did apologized. Hope that when he gets out, he'll be cured. It'll be quite hard at first but hope he can somehow get back on his feet and release some solo albums w/ the music that he likes to sing.

But then again, I'm not him so I wouldn't know and wouldn't want to "make excuse" for him according to "some people". Just hope that he can kick the addiction. He did apologized to fans before he in for rehab though so I'm guessing he really want to get rid of the addiction. *shrugs*

im not an expert on drugs but im not sure if you can get addicted to marijauna in a physical sense but ive heard you can get addicted mentaly
i dont think it is as dangerous as heroin or crack etc but its not good either smoking it alot can lead to mental and emotional problems

if the newspaper articles on this thread including the one my friend translated are right then jacky did test positive for marijuana--at a very high or recent level of use
He was tested back in may but i think he has lived quietly since then probly he has stayed off it if he knew he had to pass another medical when he went into rehab

i think he may not cope with rehab well because i doubt he thinks he has a drugs problem and he has such a high energy restless personality that he will feel bored and cooped up his brother james was very worried about him

I hardly think he's able to conduct negotiations with Sun Zhong while in rehab. And the last article I read had SZ saying there was a "very slim" chance of Jacky being accepted back into 183 Club -- and JK's the one who left in the first place! I don't doubt his continued close relationship with the other 183 club members, but it doesn't sound like he's angling to get back into Jungiery anytime soon. I'm not waiting around for JK to rejoin 183, I'd rather concentrate on a possible solo career once he comes out of rehab next month.

Same here! I mean I hate to see him "crawling" back when he was the one who left in the first place. That scene is just too much to watch if there is such and I honestly hope not. That would make me lose every ounce of support I have for him. And it would be out of his character to do such a thing. But I do like it that he's still in close contact with the other 183 members. It would be interesting to see how his career will be "re-launched" regarding what happened, but I just hope that he'll get back on his feet no matter what.

And I know my efforts are in vain, but I still want to say that one's decision to do something doesn't matter where they grow up in. Yes, they will get influence, but it just depends on will power. I'm not sure what Jacky's case is but hope people would stop blaming on the country, etc. It's not like people in less open countries wouldn't do certain things. (Talking in general not just doing drugs or what not.)

JK hasn't updated his blog since he went into rehab, so I'm guessing he doesn't have internet access INSIDE (duhn-duhn-dunh), or he's concentrating on whatever program they have him on.

LOL! Were you stalking every single day? (Just kidding!) I guess it's better to concentrate on the program and get it over with. He can do other stuffs when he's out. That means let's hope that everything went smoothly for him in there regarding the program. It would suck if he is kept for more days or whatever.

I'm sure he's smart enough to follow along with everything so he can get out on the right date (not that I'm hoping he doesn't reform etc as well, of course. Heh). I agree. At first, I found it strange and weird since I'm not used to celebs' blog being so straight-forward, but I got used to it later. Like you said, he said what's on his mind instead of just trying "promote" stuffs only. Yup! Which I think Qapint set the counter up awhile back and I was like having a countdown thing along it! (Although not on purpose but when you have nothing to do, you just couldn't help but do a countdown, lol) If he's really out, lying low is good but I'm getting bored. He's out! Looks like he's lost weight...and there's something different in his face (probably just relief to finally be back in the real world). I wouldn't be surprised if he took another couple weeks off to get back into things. Then again, he might be so sick of being bound in one place that he's dying to do something for his fans, heh heh. No update on his blog yet, though.

My, you're quite observant! (I declare you #1 Fan! *runs*) And yes, you're right. I think it's better if he takes some times off aka do something to cheer himself up and get a "reality check" before he do anything. But then again, like you said, he might surprise with something else.

i have my doubts about a rehab program where maybe they didnt get much sun or much exercise I think it was more of a prison than a treatment centre

i think jacky had a lot of courge tho to face up to the reporters and cameras at what must have been a vunnerable moment when he just got out

Yes, though I'm really glad we got pictures with the article, I'm not so keen on how they were taken. It looks like the paparazzi were camped out in front of the rehab centre, waiting for him to come out (they may have had inside info about when he'd be discharged, or they may have been there for days just waiting to get lucky). I remember an old article saying Jacky's mum was "of little exposure" (aka reclusive when it comes to the media -- can't blame her), so the whole pciture taking thing while they're praying must have been trying. All in all though, calling his mum and then going to pray can't be bad for his post-rehab image.
