On 8/5 Hong Kong afternoon 5pm, Íå×лáÕ¹ , this year's Miss Chinese Internation 2005 1st Runner-Up, Fala Chen, and model, Sofie Rahman appeared in a fashion show for¡¶06ʱÉÐÖ鱦·þÊÎÐã¡·. This is the first time that Fala Chen had performed in a catwalk in Hong Kong, and she did not seem to be stage fright either. The only thing that was a problem for her was the time for changing. And talking about being able to change and put on makeup at the same time with the other models, Fala feels that it is really fun. Fala also revealed that she had signed with TVB, and had been hosting for TVB8. Talking about filming series in the future, Fala revealed that she will let the company decide and organize that for her. But the most important thing right now is to learn how to speak cantonese good.

There have been some comments that Fala's face resembles Annie Lau. And Fala reveals that she knows Annie Lau is a newcomer from movie, Sister-In-Law ¡mªü·A¡n. But she continue saying that she doesnt know alot of Hong Kong artistes, and the only ones that she knows is Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung. Every year, when it is nearing the holidays, TVB always promote themselves with short clips. As Christmas is nearing, Linda Chung and Fala Chen are chosen to be in the short clips. Last night Raymond Lam and Fala Chen were seen wanting to ask eat other to go to the karaokes. But when they saw the reporters, they quickly seperated and walked away, making people suspect. When Raymond was at the LWOLAP parade yesterday, he said, "Fala and I are under the same manager so we invited each other to sing karaoke to practice singing!" When Fala received a phone interview, she expressed that she isn't afraid of being rumored together with Raymond. She said, "My manager told me to go play and to practice my Cantonese. There were also other staffs and friends there that night."

Fala Chen: Magnet Among Men?
With a beautiful face and perfect figure, the sexy Fala Chen is full of attractive qualities. Aside from being promoted heavily by TVB, Fala also causes many men to lose control.

Last Wednesday, Fala was filming for new series, "The Entire City Dances." The dance choreographer, Mr. Chow, was magnetized by Fala, despite the presence of female lead, Bernice Liu. Mr. Chow took initiative to teach Fala how to dance, even lifting her high into the air! As the dance progressed, the pair got more involved in their number, causing Fala's dress to slip.

Afterwards, Mr. Chow said he greatly admired Fala.

Fala Arrives Late for Blessing Ceremony- Bernice Back in Hospital Again
TVB's new series "The Entire City Dances" held its Studio blessing ceremony yesterday and cast members including Steven Ma, Kate Tsui and Bernice Liu, who is still unwell arrived on time, but Fala Chen did not arrive until after the ceremony and she was only making her offerings whilst everyone else was already eating the roast pork,

Talking of her lateness, Fala seemed unapologetic and indicated that she knew the event started at half past three, but said: "I was just a little late. The traffic was very bad before and there were two dustcarts in the way. I had already left early." She then changed the subject, saying that she had been unwell earlier and has lost a little weight, probably due to the change in weather, but she has not been as bad as Bernice. Asked if she was afraid that she would be infected by Bernice, she says: "No, but I will be careful when I see her." Fala adds that filming for this series has been very hard work and as her dancing costume is quite close fitting, she has suffered some abrasion to her collarbone and she has blisters on her feet.

Bernice was still very hoarse yesterday and she says that she was suffering from fever again the night before and the producer had given her a day off to rest. She says that she has been ill for three weeks already and has paid three visits to the hospital in a week. As the Western medication is too strong for her, she has now started taking Chinese Herbal Medicine. She says that this series has been extremely hard work due to the dance rehearsals and it is even harder than filming an ancient series. Take yesterday, she was due to film 14 scenes and asked if she is able to do her kissing scenes with her flu, she says: "I have already filmed it with Steven after my first trip to hospital. He seemed to be fine, but he did cough a little afterwards. (Have you infected him?) No, he is fine because he has good foundations."

Steven indicates that with so many co-stars falling ill, he has been fortunate that he is still in good health. However, since his eye injury, he has been taking Chinese medicine and this has helped him build a strong body and defences. Asked if he will be recommending it to Bernice, Steven says he has not because her body is different. When he found out about the kiss scene with Bernice, Steven had taken precautions such as taking Vitamin C tablets and preparing toothpaste and a toothbrush. He didn't use it in the end though because he feels he does not have bad breath.

Since his injury to his eye, Steven says that he is still having problems focussing and he cannot look upwards with his eye, so his doctors are worried that he retina may have become detached. He has asked Mannor Chan and Bernice for advice because they have both experienced retina problems before. Steven says: "Some people think that this is nothing and some colleagues have questioned the severity and I think 'why don't you try it and see?'!! They don't know about the internal injury and side effects that I am suffering from." Steven feels his dancing is getting better as the show progresses and he has received praises from the instructor. He adds: "I will be going on tour with Joyce Koi later and I had planned to just sing, but now I can perform a dance as well."

"The Entire City Dances" In the City
TVB's dancing themed series "The Entire City Dances" filmed a scene earlier in Wanchai's Golden Bauhinia Square that involved the entire cast of the show, including Steven Ma, Bernice Liu, Fala Chen, Tracy Ip, Claire Yiu, Matthew Ko and Mannor Chan. There have been many dancing scenes in this series and this shoot was the grand finale scene that tells of the cast all dancing in their Latin Dance costumes on the waterfront. As it was quite windy in the evening, all the ladies were shivering a little in their thin costumes.

Steven and Bernice have had many dancing scenes and during filming in this one, there was a lot of intimate contact. Steven even had to lift Bernice to do a spin and this took him rather close to her chest. However, they were too absorbed in the dance to notice too much and Steven danced so hard that he nearly fell over and his shoes were damaged, so they had to pause whilst he changed into his own leather shoes.

Afterwards, Bernice and Steven were asked if they had to reach an understanding with each other before filming and Steven indicated that Bernice was a professional dancer, so she understands that close contact is inevitable. Asked if he nearly fell, he immediately said it was quite spooky and he does not understand why something happens every time he dances. He says the heel of his shoe became stuck in the pavement and the sole came apart, making him trip. Fortunately he has a good balance and could continue to hold onto Bernice.

As for Steven getting so close to her chest while dancing, Bernice says he did not and she feels that getting close during dancing is only normal. Asked if she has danced with her rumoured boyfriend (Moses Chan), she says she has never tried this. As for Valentines Day, she says she spent it working and has not received any gifts.

Fala, who filmed her dancing scene opposite partner Stephen Wong Cheung Hing has had plenty of rumours lately, with suggestions that she and Bernice ignore each other on set and then her 'stealing' Bosco Wong and Moses Chan from their respective rumoured girlfriends. Recently, she has been spotted dating a middle-aged man and been labelled as 'Michelle Ye II'.

Filming for the finale scene, the press did notice that Fala and Bernice did not chat to each other in between takes and she preferred to chat with Tracy Ip instead. Asked about being dubbed "Michelle Ye II", Fala says that she is not successful enough to take over from Michelle. As for her continued rumours about her flirting, has she been called in by the executives? Fala says that her flirting abilities are not strong enough and she is not a very 'sweety' girl. She has not been 'interrogated' by the company because they know what she is really like.

Tracy felt the cold whilst filming and she syas that when she was dancing with Steven, he stepped on her foot and she has a bruise on her toe now. She smiles that she is very unlucky to be injured in this very last scene of the show. She also says that this was actually her first dancing scene in the series. Asked if she would like to have a big dance when she gets married in the future, she smiles that even if she does, she will have it indoors and be joined by her friends and family to share this memorable occasion.

Kate Tsui was also in the scene and she says this is one of her few dancing scenes in the show and it is so grand to have everyone taking part. Asked if she is afraid of revealing herself during filming, she says she will not because she has taken all the safety precautions. When the reporters suggested that her outfit was rather conservative, she says: "It is cold and I don't want to become unwell. It is not totally covered up, it is okay!"

Fala Chen Hopes to Find a Boyfriend in 2007
Fala Chen loves Japanese cuisine and made her own grilled satay meat.

Growing up the United States, the Lunar New Year does not carry significant meaning for Fala Chen. This is Fala's second Lunar New Year spent in Hong Kong. As TVB will halt filming for 3 days due to the New Year holiday, Fala is happy for a little break.

Fala has been implicated in Bosco Wong and Myolie Wu's romantic rumors recently, but she insisted, "I am not dating now! But I hope to find the man of my dreams in the new year! My criteria is that the man has a quiet personality, so that we can read books and drink coffee together!"

When Fala is not busy working, she enjoys cooking. She prefers mild-flavored Japanese food. Over the Lunar New Year holiday, aside from having traditional New Year dishes with friends, she also went to a Japanese restaurant to learn how to make satay meats.

Fala Chen Receives Birthday Kisses from Four Handsome Men
Today is the seventh day of the new year, which is known as the People's Birthday and it also happens to be Fala Chen's 25th birthday. A group of friends gathered earlier to celebrate with her and they all presented her with a birthday kiss, leaving her feeling extremely high.

Celebrating her birthday in Hong Kong for the second time, her two good friends Leanne Li and Suki Chui joined up with Stephen and Francois Huynh, Eddie Li and Martin Lau to hold a surprise birthday party for her. They even prepared some new year fried dumplings for her to enjoy. During the party, they all took their turn to give her a birthday kiss, with the men blowing her a kiss, leaving her with lipstick all over her cheeks.

As it is also everyone's birthday in the Chinese tradition, they all wish for smooth progress in their showbiz careers and to have work every day. She says: "I would really like to have a day's rest to buy ingredients and cook for my family. My parents have already given me a card and my mother said that when she was 25, she was already a mother, but I have become an artiste. Although everyone's destiny is different, I still feel that I am very fortunate." Fala also says that she is very touched to celebrate her birthday with so many friends: "I am so glad to have so many friends with me this year and this is something that is truly priceless."

Fala Chen and Bernice Liu Fuel Rumours of Animoscity
TVB series "The Entire City Dances" held a party earlier to mark the end of filming, but the rumours of animoscity between the leading ladies Fala Chen and Bernice Liu were fuelled when Fala rushed away quickly after the meal and Bernice did not even turn up.

The meal was held in a Kowloon City restaurant and was attended by Steven Ma, Kate Tsui, Tracy Ip and Matthew Ko and fuelling rumours that they had fallen out with each other during filming, Fala only appeared for about half an hour and there was no sign of Bernice at the event.

The event was led by Steven and Kate, and Steven also footed the bill and paid around $1400 for the meal. When Kate was asked who paid, she said that everyone chipped in, whilst Steven indicated he will be continuing the fun by joining everyone in a karaoke bar.

Fala was asked in a telephone interview yesterday whether she was rushing away to try and avoid Bernice and she said: "If I wanted to avoid her, then I would not have turned up at all. I had booked in for a costume fitting earlier, but I wanted to eat a little before leaving, but I didn't have enough time." Bernice's manager responded saying: "She wanted to attend, but she has gone to Singapore to shoot an advertisement."

Fala Chen Causes Chaos with her Beauty
Fala Chen and newcomer Tong Chi Nga were guest models at a wedding gown show at a Tsimshatsui bar earlier, attracting several tens of photography fanatics to the event. When Fala took a walk off the stage, ten security guards had to be deployed to protect her as the fanatics lost control, pushing and shoving the barriers to get a photograph of her, leading to some chaos.

Fala was very calm despite the confusion and says that she has been at this venue before to model eveningwear and the walk offstage was arranged by the organisers. "I do like to dance and when I was in high school, I would go with my friends to the disco, but after I finished my studies, then I have not been much and even when I do, I never drink."

Fala Chen and Matthew Ko at Wedding Promotion
Fala Chen and Matthew Ko wore traditional Chinese wedding costumes at a promotional event at Causeway Bay's Times Square yesterday. Wearing golden pig and golden bracelets, Fala entered in a sedan chair and groom Matthew kicked the door in the traditional way causing a few comic moments. Fala and Matthew then witnessed nine pairs of real couples getting married in a very heartwarming ceremony. This touched Fala who said that when she gets married, she will do both the Chinese and Western traditions.

Fala indicates that this is not the first time she has worn a traditional Chinese wedding gown and she has done shows before in this outfit, but it was not as grand as this event and she did not have the gold jewellery last time. She says: "Although the golden pig is very heavy and hard work, it is very sparkly and eyecatching." Asked if she is tempted to get married now, she says she is moved and when she does get married in the future, she will follow all the traditions both Chinese and Western, but as she is a Chinese person, then the Chinese traditions will come first. When does she want to get married? She says that when she was studying, she hoped to get married before she is 30, but she has not found her true love yet, so she believes she will not be ready to marry before she is 30. As she would like to have children, then she will not get married too late in life. When the host joked that Fala looked like she was very eager to get married, she smiled: "Even if I am eager, I will not marry Matthew."

As the weather was quite warm yesterday, Matthew was a little sweaty in his suit. He says that his father got married when he was 21, but he feels that this age is too early and his ideal age for marriage is after he is 35. He feels that marriage is a big event in life and is a great responsibility, so he will settle his career first. Talking of his ideal marriage ceremony, Matthew says that as he works in entertainment, he has to wear a lot of make up, so when he gets married, he would like it to be low profile, but if his other half wants a big ceremony, then he will respect her wishes.

Kate and Fala Fight for the Limelight at Charity Show
Kevin Cheng, Kate Tsui, Fala Chen, Kelly Chen, Harlem Yu, Nancy Sit, Kenny Bee, Jade Kwan, Kenny Kwan and Vincy were all guests on the Pok Oi Charity show this year. Fala and Kate wore sexy dance outfits as they performed in a musical drama with Kevin and dancing teacher Chow Chi Kwan. Myolie and Fala's First Appearance Together
Myolie Wu and Fala Chen appeared in some sexy dresses at an opening ceremony for a 3D-Gold branch in Sheung Shui together with company chairman Ms Ng Yee Mei. The ladies wore some precious diamond jewellery for the event each showing off their own beauty, Although there have been earlier rumours of Fala's blatant flirting with Myolie's rumoured boyfriend Bosco Wong, there was no animoscity between them at the event and they chatted away happily, shattering any rumours.

Myolie Wu and Fala Chen appeared at a soccer promotion in Happy Valley yesterday. After the promotion, Myolie had to fly to Beijing to film "The Drive of Life." While studying in Ireland, Myolie had developed her alcohol tolerance. "Since entering the entertainment industry, I have rarely drunk alcohol. Even drinking one glass will induce a red flush!"

Suki Chui and Fala Chen dressed up as Julia Roberts and Audrey Hepburn as they took part in a fancy dress competition in a shopping Mall. Taking four hours to prepare her costume, Fala overshadowed Suki in her rather simple costume.

Fala was dressed as Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffany's", whilst Suki imitated Julia Roberts's "Pretty Woman" look. Fala radiated with elegance in her black evening gown and she laughed that she made a good choice: "I really like Audrey Hepburn's elegance and class. She also led the way in fashion. When I was taking part in pageants in America, I have been likened to Hepburn and I think we share the same face shape, so I chose this part today. However, it took me four hours to get the look today and just my fringe took a long time to get right."

The youthful Suki only realised after putting together her costume that the character was a working girl and when this was pointed out by the reporters, she smiled: "The most lasting impression is the poster, where Julia Roberts is holding onto Richard Gere's tie. I know she went from a normal girl to being very beautiful, but I had forgotten what her occupation was."

Asked about the recent reports of her holding onto Joel Chan's hand, she explained that this was in the script, but she is still being labelled as a flirt. She says: "Yes, I don't know why, but I will be more careful in the future. (You and Fala are often being described as a flirt?) Yes, we are very similar."

Fala and Linda Don't Mind Wearing Bikinis for High Ratings
Stars of new series "Heart of Greed", Linda Chung, Fala Chen, Michelle Yim and Ha Yu were guests on a radio show yesterday, where they said that they were encouraged that the ratings for their series have risen from 28 points to 31 points in the first four days of airing.

Linda and Fala also said that if the ratings continue to improve, then they don't mind wearing bikinis at the celebratory party. Fala said without a care: "I wear a swimsuit in the show anyway." Also, during filming, Fala was let into the secrets of Michelle's soup-making skills, but she is not well practised yet and still needs to work at it. She says: "I have tried making soup, but it was quite tasteless and I daren't share it with my colleagues just yet." Linda's character in the show is very thrifty, but in real life, she will spend what she needs to as long as she has what she needs, then she will not be too thrifty with money. Linda Chung and Fala Chen were guests at a fashion event yesterday, where they walked the catwalk with six models. As well as sharing their thoughts on the spring/summer collections, the girls attracted a big crowd of onlookers that packed the venue. When Fala and Linda appeared, the crowd surged forward, even blocking all the gangways and in a moment of chaos, the girls were forced into retreat. Fala Chen's Poor Cantonese Results in Laughter

Rain Li: I Have a Better Figure Than Fala Chen

Fala Chen and Rain Li were hot on the catwalk as they modeled various bikinis. Despite having a less fuller figure than Fala, Rain was first to hit the catwalks as she modeled two different bikinis. Linda Chung Steals Spotlight Off Fala Chen

Linda Chung, Fala Chen, Steven Ma and Kent Cheng attended the costume fitting of TVB's new series '金石良緣' yesterday. Fala Chen is Not Afraid of a Mistress Image
Fala Chen took part in an image styling promotion yesterday and as artistes often have to wear make up, she says that her skills are not bad and she has managed to do her make-up in just ten minutes and be ready to go out in just half an hour. She has also tried putting on eye make up in a car, but she advises against doing this when the car is in motion. When she was in America, she once crashed into the car in front because she was too busy looking in a mirror.

In new series "The Family Link", Fala plays a mistress character, but she is not worried about her image becoming fixed, because she has many other roles in series that are yet to be aired and she will do her best to prepare for her performances, so even if she cannot swim, she will still do the water scenes like she did in "Family".

Sheren & Michael's 'Family of Four' at Promotion
To promote new series "The Family Link", cast members including Sheren Tang, Kiki Sheung, Michael Tse, Kenneth Ma, Leila Tong, Fala Chen and the children appeared at an event in a shopping mall, with Sheren attending despite illness. The cast split into teams and Kiki's team were finally awarded as the 'model family' and Kiki re-enacted a scene from the show, where she grabbed hold of Al Wai like a koala, making everyone in the audience laugh out loud.

Sheren indicated that she was suffering from a chest infection and she had been to see the doctor, but she is still not completely recovered so she was sounding very husky. The ratings for the show have been standing high since its release and asked if she thinks it will get any higher, she indicates that the story will move into a climax this week, where her character starts to suspect that her husband Michael has a cross-dressing habit and plans on how to help him deal with it. As the subject matter is quite bold and involves scenes around the topic of sexual behaviour, Sheren feels that this is part of normal life, but she does agree that the writers have been quite bold and during the filming, Michael was nervously asking if it was okay and indicating how frightened he was. Sheren on the other hand was bolder because she is the ambassador for sexual health after all. She says that often housewives will place their sex life last in their priorities and this show will help remind them to still focus on life's enjoyment. She says that in the past she would share these experiences with her husband, but now she cannot accept sex before marriage due to her beliefs, but when she is married, then she can do whatever she wants.

Asked if he was very frightened about the sexual scenes, Michael laughs: "Sheren gave me goosebumps, I have never had goosebumps whilst filming before!" Asked what the scene is about, he insists that he will not tell how Sheren 'heals' him and just says that he was frightened and concerned whether it could be aired, so when Sheren indicated the producer was happy for it to be aired, he bit his lip and carried on. Aside from this, there have been complaints about the way he pushes up his glasses in the show. Michael says he never imagined such a small gesture could be picked up by the viewers.

Fala's popularity has risen recently with one series being aired after another and appearing in both prime time series at the moment. Her characters are very different though because she plays a villain in "Family". She says she does not mind this new venture, but wearing a bikini is already her limits. She says that she is becoming well known for being a villain, but she accepts that as an artiste she has to try different roles and compared to the roles where she is just in the background, then she does not mind being scolded in the street. She says: "Fortunately I have not been scolded yet!"

Fala Chen took part in an event for Hollywood Plaza's Bow Tie Festival yesterday, where she created her own bow tie. Talking of father's day, Fala says that in the past back in the States, she would go fishing with her father. Now she is in Hong Kong, she cannot celebrate with him, but she will be sending him a denim cap as a gift.

Asked if her parents have been watching "Heart of Greed" in America, Fala indicates that her parents live in Atlanta, where there are not many Chinese people, so they cannot watch it. As a result she has been recording every episode and sending them over to her parents to watch. So what do they think of her? Fala says: "They say it is quite good, but they like watching everyone else more, such as Lee Si Kei." She also says that her parents don't really understand Cantonese, so they have to read the subtitles.

Fala says that her mother told her about her little gestures, like her blinking and this made her look a little unnatural, and Fala did not realise this before. So do her parents feel she does not have sufficient screentime? Fala says: "They did not cut any of my scenes, maybe there are too many storylines in this show, so they never really concluded my characters romances. I feel that I was very happy filming this series and it was a great achievement, because I learned a lot of things and the process was very important. Fala Chen Dismisses Negative Reports on Leanne Li

Fala Chen and Kathy Chow were among the celebrities at a press event for new travel show yesterday and talking of Michelle Yim's reports of suffering from altitude sickness in Lhasa, Fala says tha her mother had a similar experience: "She is fine. The first time you go, you will feel that way and when my mother went a couple of years ago, she felt faint as soon as she stepped off the plain and it is a very common occurrence. I will call her [Michelle] later to see how she is."

Fala and Kathy both say that they would like to visit Lhasa and Fala says obediently that when she joins the TVB shoot for the rail journey then they will make good arrangements.
