is anyone going to her taiwan concert? I would want to go but i dont live there. I am not a fan of angela but I think she sounds amazing live. On WQYL, they were trying to pick a "new star" to perform at her concert. And she sang w/ them and she sounds great all the time. And I can't believe de yi won. He wasn't my favorite.

Angela Zhang’s concert will be held tomorrow (31st of March) at the Taipei Arena. Faced with competition from Ayumi Hamasaki, who had her concert just days before, and Korean superstar Rain whose concert falls on the same day as hers, Angela has remained calm and confident of her music. She said today that she was only concentrating how to give her audience an enriching concert and would not think of other matters.
At the rehearsal in the afternoon, Angela performed a cello solo for the beginning of “No Pain不痛”, showing off her multi talents. This was the result of nearly a month’s worth of hard work practicing the cello. Angela wanted to perform this item to let her audience feel her hard work and sincerity that she has towards her music. However, she never expected that the cello was such a difficult instrument to play.
She said that the cello was very different from the piano and guitar, and to produce the correct sound entirely depends on using one’s feelings to position one’s fingers at the correct spot and pulling the strings hard.
Angela was praised by her cello teacher for having a natural talent for music. However, to ensure a perfect performance during her concert, Angela practiced whenever she had free time, causing boils to form on her fingers. She said that if she accidentally played the wrong note during tomorrow’s concert, she hoped that everyone would still give her their support.
Also, Angela had to conquer her fear of heights as she would be hung in mid air at a height of that of a six storey building. Although the crew praised her saying that she looked as beautiful as a flying angel, she still could not help but scream.
In response to fans who collected 331 blessings on the fansite, Angela specially taped a thank you video to her fans and posted it at her website. She said that the final rehearsal was the most exciting part of the preparations for the concert. This was because everyone had put in all their effort for the concert and spent a lot of time learning new things.
Earlier, the tendons in Angela’s right leg were slightly inflamed due to her cello practice. Many fans had left messages expressing their concern over her health at fansites. Angela specially asked the fans not to worry. She said that she was in good health now, and her leg was almost completely healed. She also said that she hoped that whether it was dancing, playing the cello or singing while hung in mid air, everything would go on smoothly.
Angela also hoped that fans would count down together with her, go for her concert in their ‘highest’ mood, and sing their favorite songs together with her.

The theme of the concert was ‘everchanging’, and Angela changed into 10 different costumes, even wearing a tight elastic shellac Coca-cola balloon costume to dance to Safe Colour 保護色 and Mama Mama, showing off the result of hours of dance practice and getting good reviews from fans. However the shellacs from her costume kept dropping because she was too vigorously dancing, causing her to unwittingly expose herself.
When her good ‘sister’ Fan Fan sang a duet If Only 如果的事 with Angela, many fans below the stage were screaming for them to French kiss. Fan Fan joked, “Who asked us to French kiss? Are you all mad? We are both straight!”

Not shivering, not afraid, she presented herself like a calm and steady singing general who had been through many battles. I have always been suspicious how she managed to train up such lung power given her small and thin body frame. Later I understood that this was the result of 10 years of experience from competitions and self training.
Based on her exterior looks, Angela looks just like a character straight out from a comic book. Many people who listen to her songs also feel that she is just like the girl in the book; that girl that would run to the top of the hill to scream into the wind when faced with sadness or helplessness, and is always encouraging herself.
Among Angela’s line up of songs, Encouraging Myself 自我期勉 and Cherishing Hope懷抱希望 were important songs that created the main theme. When she sang the first verse of Flowers in A Dream at the start of the concert, “Even if I lose all my power to love, I will never be afraid..” her exceptional perseverance and will power was evident.
During a live performance, one’s voice is put under tremendous test. In this aspect, without doubt Angela obtained high marks. Almost throughout the whole concert, her pitching was perfect to the extent it made people suspect whether she was lip syncing to her CD. When she sang the high notes in No Pain不痛 , The Sun in My Palm 手心的太阳, Shout 呐喊 , her voice was powerful yet relaxed. Even when singing the quieter song Journey and Invisible Wings 隐形的翅膀 while being suspended in mid air, her voice was steady and powerful.
This concert was virtually a product of Taiwan as there were no foreign resources or crew used. With respect to the scale of the concert, although it was not extremely extravagant, the sound system, styling and visual effects showed sincerity. However, Taiwanese concerts always have a small problem; there is too much gap between the songs especially when the artiste goes off stage to change. Another problem is that the artiste talks too much to relax him/herself, causing the danger of non-response from the audience. These are points which managing companies or agents tend to overlook.
Angela’s singing and dancing gives one the impression that she is able to be the successor of Jolin Tsai or Stephanie Sun. Her tenacity was clearly seen; after she was on stage for awhile, she seemed to be telling herself “it is not the time to cry yet!”, holding out till the last song, The Lost Beauty遺失的美好 . From "Hana-Kimi" and "Bump Off Lover," both WuZun and Angela Zhang have hit popularity. In the new drama, "Princess Little Sister," WuZun and Angela will be involved in a comedy romance, and at the same time other Fahrenheit member, Calvin, will also take part.
The two lead roles, WuZun and Angela, have already missed out on an opportunity to cooperate as Angela was supposed to take part in ""Tokyo Juliet," but because of the conflicting times as she was busy filming "Bump Off Lover," Ariel Lin took over.
This drama will begin filming in May, and the producer Ken says that in this comedy romance, fans will be able to see a different side to WuZun.
During the filming of "Bump Off Lover," Angela had to act 3 different roles, and this affected her emotions offscreen as well, but for this new drama, Angela comments: "I saw the script already, and it is a very cute and light hearted role. The role should be more happier then the previous."

well actually angela zhang is not that bad...in terms of acting and singing as well. she did a great job in dolphin bay and an outstanding performance in aisha 17. im looking forward for her new series.
