A ice hockey player that never feel lonely will start a love-game relationship with Aki

The game is that they act as lovers until Aki's boyfriend (who left to study in another country) returns.
In the end, he returned but Halu and Aki became real lovers.

Takuya Kimura is really cool in this serie, never showing his weak points.

wooooo, i love this drama/series...esp takuya = halu...i love the character dat his in...never show his weakness...except he cry infront of aki at his home...to tell the truth, i actually like every parts of the scenes where they're at the hockey ring (competition)...as i can see takuya = halu's reaction towards aki...it's so cute & so touched...heehee - hope u all understand wat i'm talking abt here la! it's a must watch drama/series!!!!!

The ratings weren't as good as some of KimuTaku's previous dramas but I actually liked Pride alot.. maybe it's because I like hockey and this show was centered around hockey. I found Tageuchi Yuko really pretty here too. And of course Kimura was his usual cool self

i never got to finish watching this drama. It was so interesting too. But the subbing took too long and i gave up on waiting for it.

can u imagine that i have a friend who watched again and again for 3 times continously? and, believe me, it's a he! so, u can imagine how powerful and charming Takuya is! and, i love this series too certainly!

I like this series..but don't know why the rating is so low in Japan.

This is one of my favorite jdoramas. I absolutely adore Halu and Aki! The hockey scenes are fantastic and it makes you feel as if you're in the same arena!

Yeah I can't understand why Pride got such low ratings in Japan...I loved the show, especially all the Halu + Aki scenes...Takuya Kimura's charming as usual, but Yuko really surprised me...loved her performance in Pride.

PRIDE... luv Takuya Kimura. watch Pride hundred times. Luv his acting and luv Yuko too! Some said that Yuko acts badly in this drama but I think she just so perfect. Hav heard thet there's going to be a new drama from KimuTaku. anyone knows 'bout it?

Well its pretty much general consensus here, Pride is a very good series. I especially liked the theme song, and the ending. The OP was very nicely choreographed, it was one of the things I remember very much from it.

This is cool!!! Takuya is so cool inside. He got that flirt look that makes him look really cool. I have heard from many people that Pride is a very nice show and this is a must to watch. WoW! Seems great! So I am watching it also. I find that this show talks about many topics and not only ice hockey.

This series rocks. Unlike a lot of dramas, this story kept up an interesting pace. And the supporting cast is just as interesting as the leads. They handle the character development of the supporting characters beautifully, not like it's just thrown in for the sake of filling up time. You can really sense how loyal the characters are to each other, and how they try to be cheerful, even when things are messed up.

Even more impressive, they make hockey seem badass cool, even to people who have no idea what exactly hockey is (me!).

I love this series. It is one of my fav Japanese dramas. Also Aki is one of my fav actress. She's beautiful and cute.
I especially love the hockey scenes in here. This drama was really well made and the music was good also.
I've heard rumor about Pride 2 but I'm not sure about it

pride rocks like hell. im only up to the 5th disc SO DONT SPOIL IT FOR ME! anyways, halu has this silent and sultry feel. i cried in the part where aki says that if she were halu's mom she would protect him from anything, and where she hugged him and finally let halu kiss her. i was almost bawling my eyes out. I LOVE PRIDE!!! especially takuya. hes just so cute in this drama!!!

btw. i couldnt wait for the english subtitles so i bought the one with chinese subtitles and tried to read it. my sis had to stop the movie so many times to explain what was happening to me. luckily she knows some japanese!

and those reporters were saying that he lead the 'nucks to a 7 game winning streak...

'look straight to my eye..' haha.. when Aki look at Halu, the power he got.. to strike in.. WOW!!!!! Aki was Halu's Ice Goddness..haha... the last episode wad great.. worth watch the show..

Takuya Kimura did an excellent job to portray HALU. A good love story line also plus fantastic hockey actions!! it kept glue to my seat for the whole series... will i watch it again??.. . MAYBE!!!!!

excellent drama... although all they do are slap shots and have a little odd scenes where the hockey didn't make sense, what can u do about it? haha... I'm so happy Hockey is being spread across like that... This was an awesome series! Almost cost me an exam.. hehe!

Pride is one of my favourite dramas... i think the actress who acted as Aki was so beautiful in this series... recommended this drama to all my friends... drove my housemate nuts by watching this series 3 times and playing the soundtrack over and over again... hahaha...

i love that scene in episode 3 where Halu looks into the dressing room and sees Makoto cry and turns away.. when Aki sees this she takes Halu's hand.. aww i thought that was a really sweet scene

did anyone notice how he's wearing #9? is 9 a lucky number for Japanese? or can it be sort of a reference to Paul Kariya who wears a #9 jersey too?

This was pretty good....I thought Halu and Aki had real good chemistry.

This was a alright series to watch. There wasnt much of funny scenes but i still enjoyed watching it.

This show was pretty good. The show was pretty clean ..no holes at all. Everything was nicely done. I liked it, but prolly not one of my top faves. It didn't hit me in a way like some dramas can do and make me never forget it.

i've watch this dorama about one years ago or more than that and i've finished engine about 6 months ago and i think i still like the pride better than engine, and kimutaku's acts better than when he in engine, i like to see his expression as halu satonaka and i like the word that he always says, "MAY BE..." Halu and Aki, what a good pair names and i like how the story going ended

i think Pride is definitely one of the best J-drama that i have watched so far...halu and aki is so compatible...plus good ending....definitely a series worth watching...

I love this drama. One of my Japanese drama. It's very good ant Takuya is hella a good actor.


This drama in rating is doing good because it's on the 20%. And during that season isn't Pride got the highest rating, other drama wasn't that good compare to Pride during Pride's season. So the rating isn't bad but compare to Takuya's older drama, Pride rating can't beat it.

I love this dorama. Just watched it again for the 4th time. What more could a person ask for? You got hockey and a romantic comedy. I love Halu and Aki! I would skip all the parts and go straight to the parts about them....sooo cute!

So adorable how Halu would smile whenever he heard his name shouted out by Aki just before the puck drops. A total must watch!
