Yeah! he's been around in American Industry for sometime. My problem is with Korean viewing, Daniel is biracial and you have opened your arms and heart to him, is it because he is lighter? What about the biracials you have in Korea and you do have allot that are darker than the normal Korean and are more talented that are being push in Cabaret bars to sing and not given a chance to shine because Koreans don't want to view them on their television! But, let them leave Korea and make it outside of Korea i.e American or Europe then they are proud Koreans, why not groom them in their own country, that's like double standard, you are one of the only nation that treat their biracial citizen so poorly, and in itself they are only now are able to enter the Arm Forces, for example singer Insooni the hardship she encountered, she cnnot even send her child to a publice school in Korea she has to go to an International School, why because of your country racist beliefs. Like fairer is better darker is not. Hey! come into this century, your idear and ideals are foreign now, you all are KOREANS no matter what colo. Be proud of the lighter or the darker

i'm not a fan of k-drama but i watched "Seducing Mr Perfect" on a plane on my way back to Singapore and thought that Daniel Henney looked hot and "perfect".

i luv the way he delivered his lines... so sleek and smooth...

Actor Daniel Henney, who stars in the movie "My Father," has given interviews to the Associated Press and ABC TV.

"My Father" drew the attention of many overseas broadcasters and media companies for its subject of a Korean man who was adopted overseas as a child.

ABC interviewed Henney about Korean stars' popularity abroad and the peculiarities of Korean culture. The actor also spoke about his show business career as an actor of mixed heritage and his plans to advance to Hollywood.

The world-renowned film magazine Screen International also interviewed Henney about his acting career, while the AP interviewed the director of "My Father," Hwang Dong-hyuk, over the phone about the subject of adoption.

The International Herald Tribune published an article about Eron Bates, the real man behind the movie's story, when he visited Korea early this month.

Actor Daniel Henney, 27, is receiving media attention back home in the United States for his portrayal of a man adopted by an American couple in the film "My Father," which continues to rank high in the local box office.

The Michigan native has given interviews to the Associated Press, broadcaster ABC TV and film magazine Screen International. ABC expressed much interest in the model-turned actor's hallyu star status and unique cultural background, as well as possible advances to Hollywood.

Born to an English father and an American mother who is an adoptee from Korea, Henney shot to instant stardom here through the phenomenal hit drama "My Name is Kim Sam Soon" (2005, MBC). After gaining popularity in Japan and South Asian countries, the TV series is now airing in Israel.

Henney showed he's more than just a pretty face through "My Father." He gives a surprising performance as an adoptee who returns to Korea to trace his roots, only to discover that his biological father, his only surviving birth family, is none other than a death row inmate. He shows that love can flow upstream from a child to a parent as he learns to forgive, accept and love his father.

AP's coverage on international adoption focuses on the movie's realistic portrayal of the subject matter, and conducted a telephone interview with the film's director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who was hitherto known for short films in international circles. An interview with Aaron Bates, the man whose true story inspired the movie, is in progress.

Screen International's article on Henney will be published at the end of the month.
