Daniel Henney lands CBS pilot
source: My Daily, The Futon Critic, The Hollywood Reporter
Review: pilot script

Daniel Henney, coming off his action movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine, has a new project lined up, and it’s for a U.S. drama pilot. He’s been cast in Three Rivers, a drama in development at CBS.

Three Rivers stars Julia Ormond and takes a look at organ transplants from three perspectives: doctors, donors, recipients. Ormond plays a doctor at Three Rivers Hospital, while another doctor character will be played by Alex O’Loughlin (remember that awful, awful Angel-wannabe vampire show Moonlight? Yeah, he’s the guy from that. To be fair, the show sucked but he was the only decent thing about it).

The series comes from writer and exec producer Carol Barbee, who ran the CBS dramas Jericho and Judging Amy. Henney accepted the casting offer early last month and headed to the States to shoot the pilot. His character is apparently a kidney/liver/pancreas transplant specialist.

I hope I do not offend but whenever I watch a show with Daniel Henney, I find him distracting—not because I find him good-looking but because the poor guy cannot act. I can see why others find him attractive but he doesn’t appeal to me. Maybe it’s just me but I’d much prefer to watch a guy who can act well. If Daniel Henney wasn’t considered good-looking by a lot of people, I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have gotten to where he is now. He is getting by on his looks alone.

As a plus, he does play sweet and cute characters. He always seems to play the guy who doesn't end up with the girl, though. How unfortunate!

I'm not offended, but don't you think you're being a little harsh? When you made that statement, he was just starting out in his acting career, and when you think about it, he's still relatively inexperienced, especially when compared to other actors. Not to mention the challenges he must face, because he isn't fluent in Korean.

With that said, I think his acting improves with every project he is a part of, and if you watch the movie My Father you would definitely see that. In that movie he's crying, screaming, and in the midst of an identity crisis! His acting really surprised me in that movie. After seeing it I can definitely respect him as an actor.

I think his acting's very well done and very natural. It doesn't look staged or over the top, I've only seen seducing mr.robin and my father tho, and he's a really good actor in my opinion, reminds me of johnny depp's beginning career.

i tell my bf that he looks alot like henney, but he says he looks better than him lol

Daniel Henney to Fix Hearts this October

After breaking into Hollywood with his role as villain Agent Zero in X-Men Origins: Wolverine in May, Daniel Henney will soon be starring in CBS's newest drama "Three Rivers" starting on October 4th! For those for you that need a refresher, we reported on Henney's latest project back in June, and a new behind-the-scenes interview has been released today.

Three Rivers is an upcoming medical drama set in Pennsylvania revolving around a hospital that specializes in organ transplants. I'm sure this popular hottie will be breaking more hearts than replacing them, but hey, that's what happens when you're someone with legions of fangirls that would have seizures if you even glanced at them. Step aside G-Dragon, we've got someone else challenging the title of ultimate heartbreaker!

Check out the interview:

Henney will be playing David Lee, a womanizing doctor, which is quite fitting for someone with such a charming aura. As an American medical drama, Three Rivers is obviously a step away from the typical kdrama project, so hopefully Henney will prove that he isn't a one-trick pony.

Is anyone watching Three Rivers? It's not bad- not great, but ok. I am watching though because of DH. But last night's episode- Daniel looked like he had a black eye. Anyone know?
