i think anyway the guy who plays the solicitor is ace..he's smart/proffesional for once. Normally his roles tend to be the opposite..

You guys meant Derek Kwok Jing Hung ? Yes I have seen many of his series ! I think he usually act bad but he's also play good roles before . The last I seen him was in the drama with Bowie Lam and Louise So where he act as a lawyer too .

So what's his role here , good or bad ? I read that elaine yiu's character got something going on with his character .

Yea, i like him even though he always play evil characters. I think the biggest role he ever played was in the Monkey King II?? I thought his acting was pretty good.. maybe that's why i still remember him in that series. hehe

this guy has been acting for a really long time. he was in greed of man. he doesn't look too old but when they zoomed in on his face in the scene with him and chloe, you could see the age.

i normally think hes a pretty good 3rd or 4th line actor... like good enough for a significant role, but not leading.
also that scene where john chiang overheard his and joe ma's plan in the elevator... did you guys catch his "evil" laugh. haha he looked so stupid i was cracking up.

I actually kinda like him. Haha and I also kinda wish he had more scenes with Elaine. I feel like they go together.

It's amazing how TVB made a change. In most of the series from TVB he is usually the bad/evil person. He acts pretty good in this serie, and he looks somewhat intelligent. He fits the character he's playing, he actually looks like someone that is simple minded but really smart.

I like Derek. He's a handsome man.. except I don't like his hair in this series. Well, I can foresee something bad happening between his character and Elaine's. I hope he doesn't fall too hard since she's more than likely just using him. And I do wonder if he's gona betray Martin.

thats my opinion. Yes Derek seems to play a bad guy in his films and does a great job of it..but somehow i dont think he will in this one.

Used to like this guy ever since his appearance in "The Greed of Man" (Da Shi Dai) as 2nd son of Adam Cheng.

Too bad he never made it big on TV. But he has always been a good actor, his appearance here is good.

I think he is a good actor, I used to like his acting no matter he acts as a good or bad character. Up to the point I'm watching though, I like his character. He seems like a really good friend to Martin and smart too. But I do hope that he will get rid of Elaine as soon as possible. I hope he won't be hurt too much because he deserves someone much much better.

yeah.. he does like chloe.. but i think that he is blinded by love.. as he is a smart guy and he doesn't know (yet) that chloe is using him.. i agree that he may get hurt by chloe latter.. he's not exactly evil in here.. for once.. everytime i see him act, he's always someone evil.

i suppose its a refreshing role for him to be "hurt emotionally" for once..plus he is a legal advisor.

I remember him in Legend of Four Aces, where he was so evil. But in this series he seems to be okay. He's good as a supporting actor but I can't really see himas a main character.

i have a feeling hes going to turn evil in this series also. that is what im predicting right now. as of now, he seems to be extremely loyal to martin ko but i think later on he will betray him. this is because he is going to fall in love with chloe and hes going to do anything for her.

he's a really good actor. he is so loyal to martin. in this movie, there are so many backstabbing people. but, mark is always friends and defends martin. :-)

i agree too. he is too loyal in this movie and the fact that he his alwys playing an evil part leads one to believe he will turn evil. I mean, with chloe, I'm sure he will turn on martin for her. maybe if chleo doesnt die and he doesnt do anything majorly evil they might still be together at the end. i would like to see chloe fall for him too.

He must be a really old actor, Greed of Man came out in 1992 and he was the youngest son of Adam aka Big Crab in the show. He was a doctor back then. I've seen him in other roles, I think HHI, when Flora abused his feelings for her to prove Bowie's innocence.

I think Derek's really underused in TVB. I mean I know he doesn't exactly have the stage prescence to be the leading man or anything, but how do they know unless they try? They give newbies like Sammul Chan leading roles but they won't give that up to a veteran? What's up with that?!?!

Mark (Deric Kwok's character) is too nice and simple in this series, and it really makes me wonder, will he turn evil? Will he turns against Martin? Does Chloe really like him? Is he using Chloe? If he does turn evil, is this all part of Joe's plan, and in the end we find out that he was actually helping Joe out the whole time. I think that Mark had already woken Martin up when they were playing chess in episode 22 and reminded him of their victories and accomplishments in the past. I think many people in this series have already fallen into Martin's trap without knowing it as he continues to act insane! I think Kenix is already being used by Martin because she told Joe to sell his shares in the company and go back to the US. This was brought to Cheng Wing Fat's attention by Chloe through Mark. Now Fat (Evil Uncle) is gonna take action!

Yeh, i too think that Derek (Mark)'s character is too good to be true. Too good, as in he has been in so many roles from TVB series in which he has played an evil character. It got me thinking, will he turn bad?? Like how he was good from the start in TOB (Twin of Brothers), where he got both Raymond Lam and Ron Ng (forgot their character name in TOB) into believing him as a nice and great guy and towards the second half of TOB, Derek was revealed as an evil chracter.

So it does make me wonder... i mean, RDOV does have up to 40 episodes i think, so anything can happen in the remaining 15-20 eps.

i think RDOV only has 30 episodes actually. and i agree that mark might become evil as he comes under the influence of chloe! she's going to trick him into thinking that she likes him and she'll use him to further her own evil purposes!

If it is 30 episodes then that's a shame, so little time left in the series. Hopefully he does become evil, as those characters are played very well by him and he actually does look pretty cool in this series, unlike other series he has been in.

I am really happy for him because for once he is one of the good guys. Every series I watch, he's always the bad and evil one. I hope he gets a chance to a starring role in a future series.

i think mark might end up w/ chloe. i have seen alot of series w/ Derek Kwok aka Mark in RDOV in it. most of the series, he was a villain in them...but in this series, he acts pretty well. he did a good job casting as Mark Loong.

Yes... he does. It is really sweet. I remember him saying once to Martin that he will not love... but when he does it will last a lifetime.

Mark ends up with Chloe, but we will never know whether she truly loves him or not. Mark knows that Chloe is using him, but he still cares about Chloe. How sweet!

mark is so cool, he such a nice guy, he's smart too and he doesn't turn his back on mark or do anything to hurt him. i think mark likes chloe but i felt bad for him when chloe was using him because he's so nice and chloe was just using him. mark is so nice to stick by chloe. he's so responsible, i liked his last phrase, when i choose, it will be forever.

he is the superb MR Nice guy that not exist in this world...so does Martin...they are just way too good n nice.He love Chloe and can just forget whatever evil she did....argh..where to find this kind of guy?
