Shu Qi is my favorite actress. I think she is a very versatile actress aside from being very pretty. She's been in many movies which are not very good, but are worth watching because of her.

i saw her in "so close" she was really good!! and in that..i didnt kno that song seung hun could speak chinese.....

i'm suprised she doesnt do any series.......only movies

why would you be really suprised that she doesnt do any series?...she is a really successful actress...she does not have to do any series...in other words..she is too good to do series....but you can see her in duke of mt deer 2000 as a guest star...

has anyone seen "The Transporter" ? i was so surprised to see Shu Qi in that hollywood film..and also surprised that she can speak fluent English..

Shu Qi did a wonderful job in The Transporter, considering she didn't know any English. If you see the Making of The Transporter, the director and Jason Statham actually states that she didn't know any english. She had to learn her lines phonetically.

i see..i thought she actually spoke english..she carried it well so was there any follow-up hollywood movie for her? maybe she should learn to English so she'll have better chances to go international.

yeah, I really wish she would learn English because I would like to see her in more english movies. Her next english movie will be Max Havoc. I read somewhere they will start shooting the movie soon in Guam.

Shu Qi's really talented! i saw her in Eye 2 and then we watched So Close, which is probably my favorite movie at the moment. I cried when she died... LoL

Her movie with Tony Leung, "Love me, Love My Money" is also pretty good if you like romantic comedies. She's played a lot of different roles, which is the main reason I like her. She's got range in her acting abilities.

I liked Shu Qi in So Close too.
She's a very pretty actress...her lips are very voluptuous for an asian.
It was pretty sad how she had to die in the very end, especially how she was playing the strong and caring character...but movies like these always have endings like that, or else no one would watch it and enjoy it, not that i'm saying her dying is what makes it good.

First movie I saw her in was Viva Erotica. Decent movie, but she was annoying, which how her role was supposed to be, I guess. I also saw Beijong rock and a few others with her n it, I thought she was decent enough.

And then, I saw "the transporter". The language coach that worked in that movie should be shot, and the screen writer as well. She had the cheesiest of lines delivered in the worst way possible. Just plain awful.

i heard that transporter is not a nice movie, although i havent watch it myself..
as for so close, i thinks its not bad at all....they were wearing white shirt...like an angel...
i like her acting in the eye 2...

i first noticed her in gorgeous... n then storm raiders... but i didn't like her back then... because i found her lips so weird... but i was amazed by her looks n acting skills... not to forget her martial art skills in so close... then she became the top leading asian actress in my list... when she fights... she reminds me of michelle yeoh... which makes me cpretty confident that this lady has a promising future in hollywood if she's given a chance to go there...

Hello!!! I was amazed with the movie SO CLOSE!!!! At first I thought it was just another asian movies but when I watched it, it was really good!!!! The action scenes were very good but I watched the english version not the original version.... I didn't saw the love scene of Shu Qi & Song Seung Hun.... blush I got hooked in the movie.... Shu Qi & Song Seung Hun are very good in the movie they've got a good chemistry together!!!! blush Shu Qi is very good in action her eyes is very epressive.... She play a good role as an assasinator in any movie..... I hope there will be a transcript posted here of the original movie....
I hope there will be another movie of her in action as a lead actress.... I also hope that the movie that she will do will also be shown in the Philippines.....

SHU QI & SONG SEUNG HUN 4EVER!!!

I first noticed Shu Qi in Bad Boys, and then in Gorgeous. She's a very versatile actress even though she often gets the flower vase role or the fallen angel(which she is particularly good at) role. I thought she was fantastic in Portland Street Blues as the surgical mask wearing junkie on the edge. Unfortunately, the Transporter was a mediocre movie. and she played another flower vase role. I also think she absolutely wonderful looking. She was also very good in the taiwanese movie - Millenium Mambo.

Shu Qi is one of those loveliest faces I've seen. Unfortunately, I've watched only two of her movies, So Close and The Eye 2. But even so, I am so impressed with her versatility. Be it action, dramatic or horrifying scene, she did it impressively.

(8/21/2005) The film GWAI MUT (MONSTER) is in production now in
Shenzhen. Two nights ago the two leads Shu Qi and Karena Lam Ka Yun
worked on the ending. Rain came down with no end in sight. Shu Qi had to
run like mad in the rain. The day happened to be the Man Lan Festival and
luckily nothing strange happened.

Shu Qi said that her character was rather sad. She not only lost
her husband but even her son was tortured. Thus she often accused the
director for being deranged. However she realized that she did not have
as hard a time as Lam Ka Yun because Ka Yun had to put on the "monster"
make up. Seeing how ugly Ka Yun looked even she had to avoid her. In the
film she played a mother. Shu Qi expressed that having children would be
quite a pain, like the child actor in the film who kept asking questions.
She thought having pets was rather trouble enough, not to mention having
children. The responsibility would be too huge.

Lam Ka Yun has just turned 27 on the 17th, but even on her
birthday she still had to play a "monster". She said bitterly that it
was the ugliest birthday ever. Recently she has been working in China and
the film company has prohibited all visitors so she could only celebrate
later. Ka Yun expressed that for several days in a row they have been
working on rain scenes. She even soaked in a water box for nine hours
and began to have skin irritation. When Andy Lau Tak Wa made WAIT 'TIL
YOU'RE OLDER (TUNG MUNG) due to the aging make up he had a skin reaction.
Ka Yun has been very concerned as well. She honestly said that this
movie was extremely difficult. She had so much stuff on her face that
her face cramped up and sometimes she drooled in her sleep because of
that. In one scene a dog bit her in the neck. She was too scared and
needed a stunt double.

I really, really, really love SHU QI. She's my favorite actress. I like the way she looks and acts. She's SO COOL!! She's like the asian counterpart of Angelina Jolie, they're both sexy and very versatile actress. Wish i could see her in person.

HONG KONG (AFP) - Taiwanese actress Shu Qi has reportedly vowed a lawsuit against a Hong Kong magazine that said she was secretly living with an actor it called her boyfriend.

Her agent told Ta Kung Pao newspaper that a suit was in the works against Eastweek magazine after it alleged that she was sharing a flat with "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" star Chang Chen.

Eastweek, which published telephoto-lens pictures of her home, said Shu and Chang have been dating for three months after filming "Three Times," which was in competition at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

Chang's manager also denied they were a couple, the newspaper said.
