I kind of wonder how the series will take place in 7 days. I mean I believe it will have around 20 episodes. How are they going to drag out 7 days? I kind of hope the story doesn't only take place in 7 days. Didn't the ending of the clip on the seventh day say "This is the real beginning?" I think there's more to it. I think the whole "the 1st day...2nd day" day thing is a promo tactic. But whatever, I hope it all works out in the end.

I also think it's weird that Niki would use her own name. I don't think that that will be her name in the series. Perhaps, they couldn't come up with a name for her yet? I really hope they don't use her name. That'll be just weird. Often times, sales presentation don't always depict what's actually in the series. I think they specifically filmed for the sales presentation so the scenes in the actual series may even be different.

Is it me or does Kevin's character look like he could be rich? The house he lives in seems pretty big to me, but I read that his character will be a drifter without a stable job and everything. How does this figure into the storyline? Maybe he has a rich family, but there was some kind of falling out causing him to reject his wealthy lifestyle? He and Selena were in a magazine and don't you have to be pretty renowned to be in a magazine? Also, could Selena and Kevin be related? Pay attention to the magazine that Niki is reading. It says something about a brotherly sisterly relationship doesn't it? Maybe Niki misunderstood and thought that Kevin was dating her? I seriously don't want to see another love triangle. And since this is a "tragedy," what do you think will happen in the end?

The promo did a good job getting me thinking LOL. Aaahhh...I want to see it really bad!

I don't know why some text is missing. I think you can still read it though. I think Niki's responses are very revealing.

My take on it: I don't think the whole 20 episodes are going to take place over 7 days. But the whole process of Niki and Kevin falling in love would span over 7 days (i.e., they'd spend 7 most memorable and happy days together). I'm guessing they'd get off to a bad start (2-3 episodes), fall in love over 7 days (5 episodes) and things start to go wrong after that (2 episodes) and finally, the rest of the series would be dedicated to them pining over each other.

Selena's character reminds me of Claire's character in UTCOL, like she'd be the one who'd turn him from rags to riches? I think the tragedy wouldn't have anything to do with a third party though, it'd possibly be health-related. I just hope neither of them dies!!

Yeah that's what I was thinking when I read about Selena's character. I believe it will be Niki who will be having health problems.

I think it's so adorable that when describing their ideal partners, they both sound like they're just rattling off each other's characteristics!!

The reporters like to make up stories based on pictures. Charmaine should not even think of going there...haha. She already has Benny Chan.

I think Bosco should have an inkling that something's up because of UTCOL, which is also why I think the whole Bosco/Niki rumor is entirely fabricated. Apart from that, I wouldn't be surprised if no one else knows with complete certainty given Kevin's character (for example, Raymond and Ron, whom Kevin seems to be pretty chummy with), but they can probably guess that Niki and Kevin are both off-limits even w/o any direct affirmation from Kevin. I think it's a little difficult to keep such matters totally under wraps.

I think Cathy Chow (Niki's sister) should know for sure, and she could be the only one! Well, with the exception of Kevin and Niki of course.

Cathy should most defintely know since she is Niki's sister and they live together. I bet Kevin's mom knows too since he and his mom are so close.

I don't think they have the time to date at all actually! In his recent interview (I think I read it today), Kevin mentioned that the first pre-requisite is that his girlfriend must be completely understanding when it comes to his work because he admits that he would hardly have any time left for her.

If I'm not mistaken, Niki has mentioned that she's fine with that as well hasn't she? Haha they're indirectly affirming each other's actions via the media. I think they probably do most of their "dating" at home, which is why Kevin was caught leaving Niki's place!

It's a stroke of luck for them that they're shooting TMBSD right now and can legitimately make use of this opportunity to spend more time with each other. Because after the whole Niki saga at the TVB awards, the reporters would be hot on Kevin's heels 24/7 and if it weren't for TMNSD, they'd probably have to lie low for a while and refrain from meeting up. Even Fate is on their side!

this clip is really cute! i loved the part when the interviewer asked niki about kevin's merits and kevin cocked his head towards niki while telling her to be careful. it seemed really natural, like something u would do with your girlfriend. and niki also said that kevin's serious about his work, and i think she said before in an interview that she'd like someone who's serious about his work..

i mean, i frankly haven't really been following this 2 so i was not sure about what rumours they actually have. but i thought they were really really cute in hard fate and in utcol too. AND the trailer for TMBSD looks really sweet too. altho i suspect there might be a bad ending? really hope not tho because it's bad enough they had a bad ending in hard fate and it just spoils all the sweet moments that came before.

Don't you guys/gals think it would be awesome if KN participated in a game show similar to Super trio show where they can team up and play those wacky games eg. the 紫菜 game...
because we rarely get the opportunity to see them interact with each other except when they are acting in a series together or singing their duet. But unfortunately there aren't many variety shows in HK, so that probably won't happen...not in the near future at least.

I've never watched any of the HK variety shows so I don't know what they're like.. Don't know how I can get hold of them. But the closest thing that might come to them appearing on a variety show would probably be the variety program on cooking they hosted? I didn't get a chance to watch that too though, I'll hunt for them on youtube after my darned exams end.

I think they are bringing back the Super Trio Show for 2007. I would love to see them team up and play games together.

girly, the article said that Niki has felt attracted to Kevin since Hard Fate but Kevin only started reciprocating during UTCOL.

This is a brief summary:

It talks about how Niki was the one that pursued Kevin. She liked Kevin when they filmed "Hard Fate" together and Kevin was oblivious to it. Nothing happened for a while until they met up again during the filming of UTCOL. Niki's advances were finally acknowledge by Kevin and their relationship developed from there.

Other tidbits:
It says how a person's eyes and expressions can reveal a lot. At public events, Kevin and Niki always give each other this really sweet and gentle glance.

Till this day, they have repeatedly denied that they are dating even though Kevin was caught coming out of Niki's apartment.

ETA: Yeah, I kind of want some confirmations, but at the same time, I don't want problems to develop because their relationship is publicized. Niki could be lying during the interview. For some reason, I always feel that they always come prepared to answer questions regarding their rumors. I'm glad Niki is the sort who wants to get married, because I think Kevin would be a great husband! Marriage is not high on the list of priorities for female artistes these days, probably because they know that their shelf life is comparatively shorter than that of male artistes.

I bet it'd be a low-key affair if they ever did tie the knot. I doubt it'd be a big splash in the headlines like Kenix and Frankie's, for example.

I think I must have cried a river in 3 scenes:

1) The swimming pool scene when Kevin told Bosco that he won.

2) When Niki was watching the tape and Kevin happily told the interviewer that his gf is back in Hong Kong awaiting his return

3) When Niki went to Kevin's house to look for him after watching the tape and Kevin's mum told her that they were gonna buy a house in XXX (can't remember the location now) because Kevin knows that Niki likes the surroundings in that area.

AAAH just thinking of it makes my eyes wet!

That happens to me too! Everytime I think or talk about them, I'm always gushing. I get this really warm feeling like awww...It's funny because this really has nothing to do with us.

I thought the pool scene was really powerful. My heart felt crushed for Kevin when he gave up Niki.

I love all the KN scenes. I must have rewatched UTCOL more than a dozen times. I've lost count. I usually fastforward to all the KN scenes though.

I love that one scene when Kevin could tell that Niki wasn't happy because he couldn't come to her recital. I love their interactions in that scene.

I also love the scene when Kevin gave her a surprise kiss on the cheek. It was so sweet! Their clothes matched in that scene too. He had on a pink tie and she was wearing this pink shirt. Aww...

I've noticed in UTCOL, they are very touchy with one another. Niki is always touching Kevin's face and everything. There's lots of bodily contact and they look so comfortable with one another, almost as if they do this all the time LOL.

i love the beging when nikki start to like kevin and stuff.........so funny and sweet..........how they pretend to be jessica and stuff.....

What got me really sad in the pool scene was not so much that he had to gave up Niki, but that the reason WHY he gave up Niki was because he thought Niki would be happier with Bosco and that she no longer loved him.

I don't have the habit of rewatching shows (because I follow more than 10 American TV series at any given time that I just can't afford to!) but UCTOL was the first one I've actually rewatched (I too fastforwarded to all of their scenes!).

I did notice that they are more affectionate with each other than a typical couple in TVB series! I don't know if it's from habit since they do this offscreen too (hee!) or if they thought it'd add to the realism of their relationship, but I think it was a splendid touch which was really what made their chemistry so believable and palpable.

Appearances aside, this is different from say, Jessica and Louis' chemistry, which comes more from plot devices. It's more than that! and a lot harder to replicate. You either have it, or you don't.

I thought he gave up Niki because he saw how far Bosco was willing to go for her. When he was under water, he saw that Bosco was holding on for dear life as he could tell he couldn't hold his breath for much longer. Kevin is the type that values friendship. Bosco was always there for Kevin and maybe he felt like he owed it to him. He didn't have the heart to hurt Bosco.

This is why I love Kevin and Niki together. They are so believable as a pair. Always oozing with chemistry and sweetness! I've never shipped anyone as much as I them.


OT: I watch American TV shows too, but only a couple such as Prison Break and Lost.

Oh yes you're right! My memory is failing me! The last time I watched it was in May - I haven't had the time to watch it again since. Yes now I remember why I cried so much! He was doing it all for Bosco! Kevin acted the hell out of that scene. You could see the pain in his eyes.

I bawled even more when Niki looked at Kevin accusingly like "how could you do this to Bosco!".

OT: I'm such a couch potato! I passed on Prison Break though, because the concept didn't appeal to me. My must-watch TV is Battlestar Galactica, The 4400, Smallville, ANTM, Top Chef, Project Runway.. etc. I watch every single TVB series that is released, but I've been skipping quite a few in the last month because they just don't appeal to me, or rather, the actors don't. There are only a handful of lead actors in TVB I can tolerate and they are getting few and far between because everyone's just packing up and leaving! ARGH. Like Louis, Lawrence, and now even Frankie! Bobby, Steven Ma and Sunny Chan are alright, but Kevin is far and away my favorite actor in TVB now.

I LOATHELOATHELOATHE Bowie, Moses, Joe Ma and Michael Tao so the pickins' have been slim lately.

TVB has a good crop of actresses though, so I'm not picky with that.

But you know what would make me mad? If they paired Niki up in subsequent series with the above 4 (well, they already did with Moses but that wasn't too bad since it was more of a comedy than a romantic series so I didn't feel like gagging that badly).

Even if it were someone I'm ok with , I'd feel strange and kinda sick to the stomach watching Niki with another guy - I'd feel like she's doing Kevin wrong! LOL

I too, can't stand Joe Ma. He's lacking something...a certain charisma. He never gave off a leading actor feel. I dislike him even more with the recent rumors of him cheating on his wife. He was also overly confident that he would win the Best Actor award this year. He wasn't very happy when Kevin won.

It's true that TVB is losing all its biggest stars. I remember back when they had a chockful of talented actors and actresses. I used to look forward to watching TVB series all the time, but now it's like it doesn't really matter if I see it or not. I never seem to be able to finish a series anymore (with the exception of KN's series of course). That's why I'm really looking forward to 2007. There are several series that I'm looking forward to, especially TMBSD.

OMG you know how there were rumors of TGC2? I was keeping my fingers crossed that they wouldn't go ahead with that! I thought TGC was kinda dumb, but I did think Niki did a good job - there were times I actually laughed out loud at her, and I DO NOT EVER DO THAT in TVB series. Like never. I usually think the witty humor quotient is sorely lacking in TVB series and their jokes are just crass. But then again, it could just be because I am partial to Niki. LOL

Take for example To Catch The Uncatchable. I still can't believe the high ratings it got. I found it completely unfunny!

I'm kinda disappointed that Kevin hasn't got any meaty roles in the epic productions TVB has got lined up next year... I mean... if TVB really favored him that much, you'd think they'd try to shove him into one of them! But no... here we are, stuck with the likes of Bowie, Joe Ma and Moses. Sigh.

I totally feel you on Joe Ma. He has always struck a wrong nerve with me and I can never understand why TVB would suddenly give him the leading man status after the success of TITS since he wasn't even the one who carried the show!! It was Francis!!! ARGH. And it really isn't like he's a ratings guarantor - none of the shows in which he's the leading actor have received high ratings, even the family drama with Jessica Hsuan, who usually sells the show just by being in it.

I'm hoping that cast for the grand productions are unconfirmed since they are just in the pipeline, and maybe Kevin can squeeze his way into one of them! Like perhaps if TVB drops Joe Ma after his latest scandal!

Don't get me started on Bowie and Moses, who just bug the living daylights out of me (sorry if you're a fan haha!).

OT - I LOVE The 4400!! Most sci-fi shows too, like Invasion (RIP!!) and Battlestar Galactica and Lost (hmmm I'm not sure if it qualifies as sci-fi). The 2 best shows on TV right now are probably The 4400 and BSG in my book, you should try to catch BSG if you could! You wouldn't regret it!!!

LOL Actually, I did like TGC, and I did think Moses and Niki didn't make such a bad pair, as they are two of my favorite TVB actors. But of course, Kevin and Niki make such a lovely couple! I think we've all said this, but with their chemistry on and off screen. . .wow I just point and say "Underground relationship!" Which I hope is real! XD

TTL: I look back one page and I saw those really beautiful wedding pictures! Thanks for uploading some of the ones most people haven't seen!

I noticed that their clothings matched in the series too, except for the scene you mentioned...their clothes also matched when Niki was going to have the recital (Kevin had on a green tie while she wore a light green-yellow dress) and when she "yelled" at Kevin after finding out who the earing belongs to. (Kevin had an orange tie and Niki was wearing an orange skirt) I wonder whether they were told to do so by the director or they decided it themselves...

I've also noticed them being touchy with one another in UTCOL, and in Hard Fate too. Perhaps not as much but still....I thought it was cute whenever they pinched each other's cheeks. They seemed so natural when doing that, actually I find everything they do cute and natural
I found out after watching the concert Kevin had a few months ago that they do pinch each other's cheeks off-screen too. I don't know if you have seen the concert, but Niki was saying to Kevin to stop pinching her cheeks because her face is big enough already and if he continues to do that...her face will only turn bigger and bigger. She also said how it's okay for her to pinch his cheeks but not when he pinches hers. (She looked cute while saying that) So there's actually some truth to what ResIpsaLoquitur said...they seem natural when interacting with each other because what they do on-screen they do it off-screen as well.

Yea, in the mini concert you could literally see how big her cheeks got. Perhaps too much pinching from him =P.

since i read it and it's a rather short article i shall just translate in case any of u guys want to know:
basically kevin is saying that niki is his 'best partner', whether in looks or the way they act or their characters, and that they get along very well. then he says that it's rare that the public accepts and likes a screen couple, and that to be able to get a partner that you have chemistry with, because tha't something u can only wish for but u can help. so he feels raelly lucky to have such a good partner because the success of a show will depend alot on whether the public likes the characters in it.
regarding the rumours that he's w niki, he says he won't really bother - anyway, this sort of thing can' be helped and he's had rumours with sheren tang and sharon chan too. so even if he's dating he won't reveal it.

Niki is indeed Kevin's best partner. I can't picture him with anyone else. They're so playful with one another.

You know what would be so adorable? If Kevin and Niki play a young married couple in a series with maybe a kid of two. I would love to see the family dynamics.
