wow. i would have never guessed that gillian would be involved in an intimate scene. and i thought the death scene was going to be my most anticipated scene. now there's competition. lol.

anyway, since the crew began filming the series, i've always sensed that gillian was the center of attention. now, i think my hunches are quite correct. they seem to concentrate on gillian's character more so than other characters (the above interview would be an example). well, it might be the fact that ching ling so's character was edited tremendously and so they resulted in talking about her more.

hmm if gillian didn't act as ching ling so, would that character get as much recognition? personally, i think gillian made a big impact on that role. lol. i'm also glad that she gets to have different outfits. i wouldn't really be too fond of watching the entire series with her having only one outfit. xP

well i think that the bed scene was necessary for the series. that's the start of gillian's mind battle with athena, trying to get her to stop seeing nie yuan. and that also shows gillian's character to be so vulnerable in love, that even though she knows she can't attain the heart of nie yuan, she's still willing to give him her body.

besides, i doubt that this scene is really going to be "intimate". they'll probably show them "naked" and then they'll show some views of scenary. most ancient movies shows scenaries indicating that they've had sex. lol.

Like everyone else, I was quite surprise that Gillian got an intimate scene with Nie Yuan. When I started reading the article where they express some of the scene and it came to "One Night Stand" I was like, definitely wouldn't be applying to Gillian...lolx..But then it was revealed that it does apply to Gillian!!

I wonder why EEG lets Gillian film this scene yet doesn't let her kiss...It's really bizzare to think that an intimate scene like that won't "ruin" her image yet a kiss would do more damage!! I mean an intimate scene would indirectly tell the audience something more had or would happen. Doesn't take much to know even if the process is not being shown. I really wonder what the real reason is for EEG to restrict Gillian from kissing....

I think Gillian is helping the series getting promotions alot!! A lot of newspaper are focusing on Gillian's character and praising her acting!! Yes, I agree. The intimate scene was of course, to add fuel to the tragic love triangle, possibly more juice for the audience, a scene for the audience to further sympathize with CLS as she not only loses her heart but also her innocence to a man who will never love her, and that also allows the audience to watch Gillian's full performance in such a new situation and setting. In Oscar winning films, there almost has to be some type of intimate scene, I'm not saying that serials have to too in order to become recognized, but stars usually have to show the audience the different spectrum of emotions they experience during such a sensitive difficult scene, a sexual scene. Gillian already stated that it was quite a complicated scene as she has to battle CLS's emotions, WF's disapproval about pre-marital sex, her own morals and self-respect, and the conclusion of it all. I can't wait to watch how convincing Gillian will channel out these emotions.

Yeah, ancient serials rarely show beyond shoulder skin. The cameras would probably zoom out to some nature letting us know that nature also took its course.

I don't know for sure, but I'd say there most likely won't be a kissing scene between Gillian and Nie Yuan. If they did film a kissing scene, then it'd most likely appear all over magazines and newspapers, and in the interview for the big advertisement for the series. It would be a huge selling point for the whole series. I know what you mean about Gillian's intimate scene; I didn't expect her to have her first jump out of her restrictions for a series either, but this scene's probably not all that intimate anyways since it is a series which is shown on home television and EEG didn't reject it. I think we'd be more happy for Gillian to film an intimate scene if we were more familiar with her male co-star, or if it's someone Gillian's worked with before.

I really don't know about this; They're letting Gillian show some skin, but her lips are more to cherish? Well, I think this is more or less like how it was in 'Beyond Our Ken'. BOK had implied of how Gillian and Daniel were a couple and obviously had sex together but without actually showing it on-screen, all we saw were those photos revealing Gillian with bare shoulders. In my opinion, the scene will probably just be shot on CLS's back initially, going to where we start seeing her bare shoulders, a few shots on WF's expressions of disapproval, and definitely some close shots at CLS's eyes to show her determination yet confusion, then the camera will most likely shoot up in the dark night and show YJY seeing them and then leaving afterwards. Then we'll see happens afterwards.... so on. It does seem like EEG is like 'saving' her kiss for something; it's not that Gillian can't act in mature content, she has before. I'd say what happens in the contents of a film makes more impact on a person than a peck on the lips. Besides for Gillian's acting, I think her fame is another factor for asking her to film this series. The news basically revolves all around her, and it was revolving around Anthony Wong when he was filming and before Gillian arrived. This series will approximately be 40 episodes. Gillian's done her part, but the filming crew in general still has to complete Ady An's scenes of MYL before wrapping up.

Possibly the sacrifice is made for a deeper impression of CLS to WF and the audience; it's also a building block towards her death as well. CLS's death is a little confusing and complicated in my opinion. So, CLS will save WF from his poison by having sexual contact with him, but here is where she actually contaminates the poison from WF to herself, then she's captured by her senior, YJY comes to save CLS, YJY gets poisoned and CLS is already poisoned, there's only one piece of antidote, CLS lets YJY have it, but somehow CLS dies in WF's arms as Nie Yuan had mentioned it in his blog? Anyway, I can't wait to watch the series to figure out the plot of it and this portrayal of CLS by Gillian to see how she will do in this tragic romance role that she has personally been anticipating on.

Yeah, I was a bit confused too. Even though TVB 1999's version wasn't accurate towards the novel and this one isn't either but CLS in that version died right after she sucked the poison from WF. I guess, in this upcoming adaption, they're trying to persuade the audience in adoring YJY as well by saving CLS, the woman who asked her to leave her beloved WF.

This is my short interpretation. CLS is the only one who knows that sexual contact can transfer the poison from one person to the other. She probably believed that the only person who WF will be less traumatized if any misfortunes were to take place will be herself since WF has denied her of her deep emotions several times and has more than enough expressed his loyal love towards YJY only so she sacrifices herself. YJY, possibly not understanding the medical process but only witnesses the intimate scene becomes discouraged and respects CLS's request for her to leave WF. This type of poison is probably the type of poison that doesn't kill the person immediately but rather slowly so CLS only chased away YJY not because she wanted to conquer WF all to herself or felt like exerting Wife powers, but she knew that she was going to die pretty soon and only wished for a peaceful ending with WF before she completely shut her eyes forever. But seems like fate is never on her side, her senior ruins her last days by kidnapping her while WF is still lying weak on the bed and YJY who hasn't left the premises because she still wishes to see a healthy WF before she leaves his side, witnesses the kidnap and saves CLS thus also getting poisoned but perhaps during the kidnap, CLS's senior as a form of mocking and pity shares that he possesses one of the last antidote that can cure the poison so while YJY was busy saving CLS, CLS had secretly stolen the antidote but sadly, gave it to YJY as she was poisoned as well and knowing how miserable WF would be without YJY beside him, CLS dies in the arms of still a recuperating WF. Feeling guilty for her sacrifice, YJY leaves WF in search of her master and WF goes on a different path.

This would make most sense to me. CLS obviously didn't have the antidote before curing WF because if she did, she wouldn't have traded in her body so she must have gotten it from her senior during the kidnapping.

I don't know but there are still some loose ends.

can anyone help me name the titles of tvb drams tt gill has starred in? i only know she starred in 'monkey king' & kungfu soccer'.. the rest i'm not too sure.. so if sumone can help me? i want to watch her dramas since there's so little of gill's films around nowadays.

Gillian hasn't starred in a big role for any TVB dramas. She had starring in two other guest roles other than the two you mentioned. It's "Truimph in the Skies" and "Sunshine Heartbeat". If you are really desparate you can watch it but if not, I'm not sure if you want to. Twins had only like 5 minute scenes in there and the roles were quite pointless if you ask me.

Twins was supposed to have a series with TVB but due to their busy schedule, they rejected the offer. I think the series they were supposed to do was "Aqua Heroes". Hmm...I wonder if they were to take the offer, I wonder who will play Bobo and Leila. To me, since Bobo is the main character, most likely that role (if Twins were starring in)would be given to Charlene while Gillian would get the supporting role, Leila's. But I think they changed the storyline a little since I saw the preview where Twins did the promotion for and it's a little different.

Actually, I think Gillian would portray Bobo's role while Sa would portray Leila's role because Bobo is much more similar to Gillian's usual quiet and calm characters whereas Leila is the bubbly and sassy one like Sa but definitely the serial would have been geared towards Sa, Leila's character, and perhaps the overall story would have changed as well.

Did the trailer load that fast on your media? It's estimating a total of 20 mins to fully download the clip and I have cable too. The only part I managed to watch was: Gillian appeared before Nie Yuan and Athena! But the rest is still loading. Just watched the full trailer. Gillian is beyond cute. So CLS's simple hairstyle is a messy braid; I didn't expect that judging from the front. I really can't wait to watch it. I mean, Gillian's emotional scenes were just too convincing and was it just me or did WF (Nie Yuan) express more chemistry towards CLS (Gillian) during the flower scene than he did towards Athena in general. Hm, I'm still not exactly loving the clothes though; the tights and rags pieced together for WF's leading females. Could be that perhaps I'm a Gillian fan, I tend to sympathize for her character but seems like YJY is quite irritating with her mood swings.

Okay, this serial is confusing me a bit. Patrick Tam and Anthony Wong (older generation) are wearing Manchurian attire and hair but the next generation of Wu Fei, Athena, Gillian, and Ady are wearing clothes of a different era that were actually before the Ching Dynasty?

Gillian does have a contract with TVB; a singer's contract though, not an acting contract. The contract insures that the channel TVB is the only channel in HK that the singer can officially perform his/her songs on and respond in cantonese. It's like how they aren't allowed to sing on ATV because they have a contract with TVB, and when the singers are interviewed on cable channels, they cannot use cantonese to respond because they would be breaking the contract. There are exceptions to such as special events and serials that people with a singer's contract can speak cantonese and appear on ATV. Gillian appeared on ATV once because ATV ended up receiving the copyright of airing the Gam Zhi Ging awards; Andy Lau also went as an award presenter. They were allowed on because it's not an ATV production, but ATV is just airing it. Same with serials, some serials are just mainland productions with some HK casts, and if ATV just happened to buy the serial, the singers wouldn't be breaking the contract because they never filmed for ATV. There is a slight chance where their voices may be dubbed over with, but it didn't happen with Nic and Yumiko with their serial, so perhaps it won't with Gillian either; I do hope that TVB buys this serial rather than ATV though. ATV didn't even air that other series, Hap Yee Juen Kei, that Gillian guest-starred in , at least TVB aired all the series that Gillian appeared in. It was five whole episodes that Gillian is in for Hap Yee Juen Kei! That can be a lot for us Gillian fans to watch! I'd want to see Gillian portray that assassin role of hers; she looked so cool yet beautiful with that dagger in the trailer!

I think Wong Jing explained that because WF is a big hero, so he doesn't pay attention to the rule of the braids during the Qing Dynasty, which doesn't make sense to me because he would be executed before doing anything amazing if he really did that during that time. Wong Jing barely ever follows the hairstyles for the females in his ancient series; CLS's hairstyle was the closest to a Qing Dynasty hairstyle. YJY was just in a whole other era. Nope, Hap Yee Juen Kei isn't a TVB production. It's actually a series invested by EEG; thus, Gillian's guest appearance, I suppose. Dave Wong and Mandy Chiang is in it as well. It did consist of a lot of TVB's casts or former TVB casts because its producer is the same producer who produced Healing Hands. He left TVB after producing the first one, but I suppose he wasn't quite finished with his Healing Hands project, so he got the original cast like Lawrence, Ada, and William to film another doctor series, taking place in the 1920's. Lawrence and Ada are TVB artistes, but they're on the one series per year contract, so they're allowed to film productions of other companies as long as it isn't ATV.

This series didn't air yet; ATV was supposed to air it at the same time as 'The Great Adventurer' and 'Central Affairs' to make it so that all the TVB/former TVB artistes from the three series would be 'going against' TVB itself at the same time, but there was some problem with the copyright of this series, so they didn't air it. They said the same thing about the copyright happened with 'The Great Adventurer', but 'The Great Adventurer' was aired anyway. Anyway, there were A LOT of protests when the news came out that ATV had bought the rights to air Hap Yee Juen Kei; I guess a lot of people wanted TVB to air it. '

Gillian's eyes look really nice there, big and round. Her eyes are definitely the part(s) that bring out her beauty. I think even Gillian herself is conscious about that, because when people ask her, which part of her face she's most satisfied with...she would always say her eyes.

it is really pronounced Gillian Chung and Ah Gil is only a nickname the hong kong showbiz gave her it is short for Gillian. If u try 2 type Jillian on google u won't find much info on Gillian.
