Hm, I once owned a DVD copy of The Colour Of Truth but my cousin borrowed it and hasn't returned it to me since then so hopefully, I don't have to purchase another copy not that I mind since Gillian was featured in that film and plus, I thought it was decent. You're not missing out on much if you don't purchase Moving Targets because sadly, the filmography and overall production was terrible. Nic, Edison, and Gillian all appeared so tired or perhaps just due to the gloomy color of the film but I would rather recommend Beyond Our Ken, House Of Fury, If You Care, Happy Go Lucky, and perhaps even Love On the Rocks, just to watch the strongwilled Jamba Juice Gillian if you haven't purchased these films already that is. The only ones I haven't purchased as part of my Gillian collection are: U-Man, Summer Breeze of Love, The Death Curse, 6 AM, Bug Me Not!, and of course 49 Days. U-Man and Summer Breeze of Love are films I watched once and had no interest in them so I skipped them on my list. The Death Curse didn't revolve around Gillian plus the storyline was weak so I also passed that one up too. 6 AM and Bug Me Not!, now that I'm beginning to adjust to Isabella, Bug Me Not! will be next and as for 6AM perhaps later.

I wish Gillian would produce more films as the main main lead like Beyond Our Ken.

^Oh, I am not the only one who disliked Moving Targets. I felt all alone but that was the worse Gillian movie I have seen =/ I was disappointed cause I heard good reviews. At least the EEG's scenes were cute, but their relationaship developement was so bad...

I am thinking about getting: A Chinese Tall Story, 49 Days, If U Care, BOK (want a hard copy), The Colour of Truth, Spy Dad (looks lame but I will get it anyway), and uhmm...I don't know. I want to get a LOT of movies while I am there and also some Twins albums too!

I have more Sa movies so I need to catch up o Gillie's movies.

Moving Targets was simply rushed and poorly developed with its plot, and the whole film looked very dim for some reason. Gillian might as well been a guest star in the film, for she was in about ten scenes. It was crazy of how Gillian accepts Edison in one scene, then in the next scene, Nic notices that Edison is wearing a ring, therefore they're married, and Gillian is already pregnant in the next scene. But I still think Moving Targets is an okay movie, not as bad as you guys put it in my eyes. Unfortunate to say, but I think if we ignore the side story with EG, and just focus on how Nic tries to solve the case regarding his father, it's still something alright to watch.

Spy Dad is worse than Moving Targets; it was just a load of nonsense put together to form a so-called film. Worse was that they made it seem like Gillian had such a big part in it by making her cover half the poster, but she was just another minor character.

I agree of how Gillian should go back to her straight hair, or at least wavy. She's been with the curly hair for too long; she needs a new style to refresh herself and others. It's like she has to curl it everytime she comes back to HK. She had straight/wavy hair when she was in Beijing, but she always gets it curled whenever she attends a public event.

I lub Gillian she has to be one of my favourite Hk stars I hope i can get to see more of her movies. I have only seen "Twins Effect"

Of all Gillian's films, I've yet watch Happy Go Lucky. Asillysaint, could you give me some suggestion if I should get the dvd or not? I saw a small video clip on the movie and Gillian was soo cute there.

Btw, I found 49 Days pretty good. It doesn't have all the non sense that most hk films nowsaday have. The storyline is different and I love the lighting and atmosphere throughout the movie. Even if Gillian is not in the movie, I think I'll still like it but off course, with her, I love it even more! I really like all the casts, they all did a good job, especially the little girl! Stephen is definitely a very good director!

I thinkg "Happy Go Lucky" is a pretty decent film but a lot of people thinks it's a bad or boring film because there isn't a romance subplot or anything too dramatic that happened It conveys a pretty good message though and I think that's more important. There's some happy, sweet and even sad parts in the movie. I love how they portrayed the family and friend relationship because it's really touching and heartwarming.

I love how Gillian was dressed and her hairstyle in the movie too. White makes Gillian look like an angel and innocent like the character Gillian portrays. I think Gillian did pretty well, because playing a role of a blind person is pretty difficult if they have to have their eyes open. It's tempting to move your eyeballs around so it's amazing how actors/actresses are able to keep their eyes looking straight ahead like Gillian!!

oh ya. forgot to thank you for ur name translations! lols! i've watched both the films tt u mentioned, 'my kungfu sweetheart' has somehow a mucch more poorer storyline than '49 days', but for pple with only enuff money for one, i'd recommend '49 days', not cos i'm more of a gill fan than cecilia's, but cos the story of '49 days' is much better. ' but somehow, cecilia is the only person in the enitre film, other than yuen wah & yuen qing, who make the film barely passable. don't mind me saying this, but it wuld be better if you rented ;my kungfu sweetheart' instead of buying it, cos i don't tink it's worth it, unless ur a true blue cecila cheung fan! actually, i'm not really a fan of gill's hair in '49 days', she looked a lot more older, shuld i say matronly. but her makeup was not bad, the same simple makeup tt gill has always used & her face looked great, but not her hair. yep, yep, EG is back again. btw, i watched ur MV's & great job! can't wait for ur next one! lols!

Hey, a new fan here! well, I like both gillian and Charlene. I am there fans in major ways. Gillian's schedule seems to be more full now don't you think. Her new Songs with kenny being top of Lists, her new movies..49 days, a series or movie Flying Fow of the snowy moutian. Now she has alot of oppportunitys. right. being an excellent actor and singor. I think EEG is finally promoting her more. I mean as you can see in the galleries and the Forum Gillian is always top of the list. She even beat Charmaine Sheh's post in 1 week. True she is Prettyier of the Twins....and haven't you guys notice before the reason why she hadn't do much movies was because she was doing magazines. It totally makes up for all the movie charlene did. and haven't you notice all charlene got are gossips? I think the reason that Gillian were doing so much magazines was because she didn't have anything to do. Her schedule wasn't tight so she did was magazines to fill up her freetimes, thanks to EEG, of course.

The gallery and Gillian thread really has nothing to do with EEG's recent 'small' promotion for Gillian though. It's really up to the fans to decide on this part. I guess Gillian just have really supportive fans here!! So the thread are growing rapidly, same with the gallery. Well I only wanted to get Moving targets because of the EG scenes.. lol I didn't finish Beyond Our Ken don't know why.. the girl who was speaking mando was getting me mixed up lol. I saw HOF and I loved it. If you Care it was pretty funny with Eason. Happy Go Lucky I recorded off TV but haven't re-watched it yet. U-Man was pretty funny with Sam where he pretended to be a girl. Summer Breeze of Love I found that more focusing on Charlene and her love stories instead of Gillian too. 6 AM though Twins was a guest but its quiet funny with both Boy'Z in love with Gillian.. lol

As Bluehearts mentioned above, Happy Go Lucky's storyline is not the typical teeny bopper love story so in some scenes, they might appear boring but the overall content is satisfactory considering it's serious and realistic content. I loved the speech Fat Cat and Cheung advised Snowie/Snow White towards the end of the film; very emotional and true. I guess, this movie is much more of a family film than anything else.

Yeah, I've only seen some interesting and pretty pictures of "My Kungfu Sweetheart" and decided I really wanted to purchase the movie because of Cecilia. Cecilia is just as good in comedies as in other dramatic films. I haven't purchased anything of hers ever since The Lion Roars and oh yeah, The Promise so I mind as well add "My Kungfu Sweetheart" as part of my collection even though it conveys a weak storyline and I dislike Leo. *shivers*

Kenny and Gillian's song making it into the charts is a huge thanks to fans and listeners who support the duet. 49 Days was a surprise success rather than an expected hit which should be explained by the poor promotions. Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain, not much has been released yet so we really shouldn't jump into conclusions about the results. It could be a successful project under Gillian's profile or it could do Gillian more harm for all we know; novel and serial critics plus fans seem to be much more strict with their judgment especially for someone like Gillian who has carried a history of bad acting and is a newcomer in a serial. The discussion forums and galleries don't involve EEG at all; all depends on the effort of fans. Magazines? Hm, they just take a few hours, not much. I stil wish Gillian was promoted as much as Sa in movies since she is more of a demand in the market!

I think she varied with the extensions, sometimes she had those purple ones (like in the 04fun concert) and sometimes the black/dark brown ones. Because these pictures were all taken at the end of 2003/beginning of 2004, but her hair length in the first & second picture is like a few inches shorter than the last one...

Hm, for Twins upcoming Mandarin album, ahhhh, I pray that EEG will straighten Gillian's hair again. Sa already has a new hairstyle which looks great and really compliments Sa; instead of appearing like a bubbly girl, Sa has matured so much. Gillian should also update that curly style too. Pictures posted of Twins' new MV looks nice but I would rather see Gillian with her hair down like Sa's; looks more feminine. The tying up hair for some reason looks nicer on Sa than Gillian; it actually makes Gillian look a bit older than usual, something I don't prefer since the Mandarin album is supposed to be a cheerful theme, it's only best if Gillian has her hair down which brings out her beauty instead of the gloomy curly ponytail.

I really don't get why EEG is making Gillian keep the curls! I mean Charlene already had the curls, lose the curls and back with the curls. I think Gillian should get a breather from the curls too (lol) because clearly, Gillian needs a new hairstyle after so long. I miss Gillian's long straight hair I was sad how Gillian had to cut her hair to shoulder length again when she barely had the long straight hair for long.

Twins have expressed that they want to appear to be more mature in their next mandarin album, so they will lose the school girl look. In a recent MV that they filmed for a song in their mandarin album, they appeared as more of a party queen image.

Perhaps Gillian will change her hairstyle while she's in Taiwan with Charlene? Since they're filming a few MVs there, both of them should change their hairstyles around once or twice so that they don't look the same in every MV. I hope we'll see Gillian with another hairstyle the next time she's reported on. She's had this hairstyle for months now!

Gillian has just finished filming a TV series, "Flying Fox of the Snowy Mountain", of which she portrays the character, Ching Ling So. She is now wrapping up the second mandarin album of Twins with Charlene, which is going to be released approximately next month. Twins are going to be sticking together promoting the mandarin album and producing another cantonese album for the coming months. They will also be filming a movie together near the end of the year.

Charlene also has Rob-B-Hood with Jackie Chan, so she has at least four films this year. There isn't much news about the one with Shu Qi though; I wonder if that's still on for Charlene? Maybe they just want to get the mandarin album on track first?

Twins have said that this album will be more mature, but it's the melodies and tunes being 'happy' that throws me off. Charlene said it's going to be a little different than their first album, and Gillian said this album is very youthful, so I don't know if it's going to be childish or not. I hope it isn't going to be childish. I guess we can only find out after the album's released. The song from the tea commercial is okay, not extremely splendid from the 30 seconds that I heard of it, but it's not bad; it is a happy sounding song. ' I hope they plug at least one song before releasing the album; like how they plugged One Time Not Twice just a little before releasing The Missing Piece. Well, I guess in the Taiwanese and Mandarin market, cuteness is currently the mainstream trend especially with all of the teeny bopper dramas being released by one of the leading female artists like Rainie so I wouldn't find it that suprising if Twins still kept their cute image from their last album. Hey, they have to do what sells! I guess, the release of their album also depends on who is releasing their albums too in the Mandarin market. EEG or their Mandarin agency doesn't want Twins to go up against extremely strong competitors.

The first 3 pictures, the quality seems to bad, the ones with Charlene of a similar type of picture was bad quality too, but the 2 after it are nice! Better quality and style too. After seeing Gillian's hair in curls for so long, it seems like its the same length as it was around Samba, but now, after seeing these pictures, you can tell that it's REALLY long. I really hope that she leaves her hair down too, this style definitely gives off a mature yet sexyish type of look, compared to the other time when she had her long hair, which gave off a bit more mature and elegant type of look.

It would be great if the serial came out near the time of their album! That way, Gillian can be both visible and audible to people in Mainland/Taiwan at one time! Though it might not be likely since the series isn't quite done yet because they're still filming the remaining parts with Ady. It could happen if they aired it right after they are finished with the production.

Yeah, I think Mainland and Taiwan are still pretty persistent with holding onto the cute image that Twins have; sometimes I think they barely accept Twins to carry a more mature image. ' But you're right, they've gotta do what sells. It's only if their album sells well that they can release another one after it. Kenny's actually really cute when reacting towards Gillian. Apparently, Kenny is a 'servant' of Gillian's now because he gave himself to her for her birthday as her personal servant/housekeeper.

Does anyone know about the winglin thing about KG? I've heard that there was a big discussion about KG at the winglin forums a while back, regarding a rumour between them, but I've never found out much about it. I think it was something about someone knowing Kenny's godsister, and the godsister said that Kenny bought Gillian a china doll, and then some said that KG were actually secretly dating? Anyone know about the details?


KG can be considered to have a lot fans supporting their pairing, considering that they've never starred as a couple in a film or series. That's usually where the fans come from; KG's more of the audible pair while KC is a visual pair. KC has been in a few films/MVs as a couple, haven't they? KG has two duets together, but their first duet was barely heard of because of the stocking of that series and the lack of promotion. Conscience Discovery is a bit better, at least it was plugged on the radio, but EEG didn't have plans to promote the duet anyway; the only songs EEG had plans to promote from Kenny's album were 'Moon Bright Bright', 'Cleverness', and 'Idler, Don't Come Near'. The recognition of Conscience Discovery being one of the recommendations of the album was merely given by the media. :closedeyes: Anyway, an interesting fact that I found was Gillian has already given out her 'kiss' to Kenny! KG were featured in a radio drama called 'The First Kiss Before Dawn' a while back, and Kenny's and Gillian's characters, of course, shared a kiss before dawn together, but by being on the radio, it was just narrated out by Kenny, wasn't visual. They didn't end up together either.

It'd be nice if the film, "Little Sparks", could be put back into production. We still don't know why they set it off, or if it will ever be filmed. I think Gillian would like the film since it's a romance film, but it was reported that Kenny and Gillian will have intimate scenes and kissing scenes in the film. I guess we'll never know what the film was supposed to be like since it doesn't seem like it will be filmed anymore, and KG was supposed to have another duet to serve as the themesong of film! A film with either Kenny or Nic would be nice; in Moving Targets, it was just a one-sided love thing that Gillian had for Nic. Again, bad development of the plot! We didn't see any of the crush of Gillian's; it was merely narrated by Gillian when she was talking to Edison on the bus. I hope Gillian and Kenny end up singing another duet, and then producing a film based on it. It seems like the trend with HK films now; if a song is a hit, a film can be brought up by it. I wasn't too fond of Alex and Stephy's film using Kary's 'Loving You Turns Into Hating You' to promote their film though. They played her song for more than half the trailer, but they didn't play their own songs once, just the midi of it. Even though they're from the same record company, Kary wasn't even in the film, so it doesn't make sense to me of how they're using her song, which is no. 1 of all four music charts, to promote their film.

KG had always been a dancing pair. x] and not to mention their first duet. where as many people were desperately searching for the full song, but to no avail. =T the media was never focused on KG back in the days. but now they're beginning to focus more on them, starting with conscience discovery, and then the extreme love radio drama. well i guess they're not REALLY focusing on KG, but more so than back then. i really do hope that KG get to work on a film together. but then again, i also want gillian to cooperate with other stars as well.

Yeah, I have the radio drama, but I'm missing episode 1 and 2; apparently, no one has those two episodes. You can still catch onto the storyline though. I'll put it up later today. Conscience Discovery wasn't one of the three songs to promote; just go look at the banners at EEG's official site, the three songs that they showed as the songs to promote/recommend are Moon Bright Bright, Cleverness, and Idler, Don't Come Near. Conscience Discovery was just added in as one of the songs to promote by the media in the news instead of Idler, Don't Come Near, but EEG itself didn't have any major plans of promoting the duet, besides filming the MV which isn't going to be released until one or two months from now. *shrugs* Typical EEG doing...... They were probably going to scrap the duet, but seeing that it is favoured a lot online, they decided to plug it as well. Yet without a few performances of it live to promote the song, how is it supposed hang in onto a chart?

They definitely didn't put Kary's song into Alex and Stephy's movie to promote her song; they did it to use the song to promote their film. Her song hit no. 1 on all four music charts even before the movie was released, so her song didn't need any extra promotion; the film did, even the media reported it as that way. Kary's song helped out the film's boxoffice results.

i find it pretty amazing how a song can help boost a movie's success rate.

Happy and youthful? But if that's the case...then I don't understand how their image would fit. Since their image is rather mature now...wouldn't it be better if their songs are like that too?
It would be totally weird seeing them in like elegant dresses, with curly/wavy hair while singing or should I say lip-syncing (since they don't really sing in music videos) songs, which sound like nursery themes. (I know I'm exaggerating, but I seriously don't want them to get stuck with those poppy and childish songs for their whole career)
However, it's good that Gillian and Charlene finally got to choose songs on their own, since then we can guarentee the two songs will be at least decent, if they have chosen them wisely.. But who knows, their taste might differ from ours/mine. E.g Gillian's favourite song in their latest album is 'A story of Texas'- which is the one I liked the least out of the 10 songs.


I don't think it would be rumours regarding the rivalry between S.H.E and Twins either, because Ella is currently busy filming a series while Hebe is studying overseas. They are all busy doing their own thing right now, except Selina, who doesn't have any project or anything. So hopefully arguments between the fans of these two groups won't arise. (like what happened last year)

I've always wanted to watch a movie with Nicholas and Gillian as the main characters, because I think they look good together and since both are fond on martial arts, it would be nice seeing them
in a romantic, yet quite action filled movie. Since Gillian like acting in action movies and has also expressed that she would like to act in a tragic/romantic one, wouldn't it be 兩全其美 if someone actually ask her to star in a film with a combination of those genres mentioned above?

I honestly don't believe that Gillian only look pretty with straight hair. She'd look great with whatever hairstyle because that's just who she is. She has that facial that would look gorgeous even if a tornado or thunderstorm strike. Her textures are really beautiful, too. Whether her hair is curly or not or put up or even brush back she's still very beautiful not because of that but because of her personality wise that make people like her just like what Kenny said.
I believe that these kinds of things doesn't really matter to Gillian because if it did then she would change her hairstyles every so often to make herself look plausible but that's not Gillian she's not shallow of herself unlike other actresses who thinks they should change their styles just to make their appearance better so people would consider them good looking. I believe in inner-beauty and I think Gillian thinks so, too that's why she's always remain so calmly and so gracious yet still very beautiful because of the way she was brought up and because she respect herself too much to give in to fame. Most actresses that I've come across with have change so much from when they first enter the music industry that they make themselves look noticeable in order to gain popularity. I see this with most of the asian celebrities. They change their styles just to be notice which is something stupid. Yeah, do it because you're doing it for yourself but not because you want the world to notice that you're something great.
I would want Gillian to stay the way she is because I didn't notice her outer beauty but her inner beauty and her talent. When I first heard of Twins, I thought they're just another cocky chinese girl band who can't sing or do act. To be honest, I didn't like Gillian at first nor did I like Charlene because to me they're both fake ( no offense) but as I gradually continue to put an effort in giving Twins a chance I notice the difference between the two girls. They're both two very different person yet can collaborate together. Although still can't act or sing at the time. As I continue to see them through, my opinion of them began to change. They both appear themselves differently. Charlene tends to make herself approachable (which to me isn't a good thing) she tries too hard on the things she do like her singing and acting but I also notice the change in Charlene, too. Whereas, Gillian tends to hide behind--innocent and shy. She tends to stay away from the limelight (fame). Even though, she has so much talent in herself that she seem to be holding back for some reason (Why?). I understand why they put these two girls together because they can give each other so much only to a point.
I began to notice the potential that Gillian have and I started to invest in Twins more--mostly Gillian. I saw her abilities in acting and singing and I thought 'with this voice and acting skills, she can get very far if she stopped holding herself back'. She has so much characteristics that most chinese actresses lacks but still she won't show it. It made me think she's a fake too. Only as time went by that I began to see "The" Gillian, the Gillian that has been in hiding for so long. She has come a long way since she first debuted years ago with Charlene. Her singing abilities has gotten so much better than before and her acting skills is getting better too but she can do better if promoted more. If only people, like EEG, would give her the chance to.
You know, I'm happy with the way things turned out because of all those people who dislike Gillian that made her who she is today--strong-will and not a quitter! She didn't give in to any harsh remarks that was made on her (most people would) She kept going and holding on with the support of her fans, family, Kenny, and so many other people. Gillian is beautiful at heart and one day those who didn't like her will soon realize what they've miss out on. End of story!
