I hope that their screentime will be more equal this time as well since they had equal screentime in TTE II. It would be highly ridiculous if we see the word 'Double' in the title, but in the film, we see only one of them being single here, single there. Of course we all know which of the two we'll be seeing if that were to happen.

Uh huh, from the way the story was told, Raymond was simply taking Michelle for granted over every aspect, but their chemistry saved it, so it was all good. The sword on his back was actually sewn onto his costume, so I think that's why he only used it twice in the whole series. The verdant bow only being used once really defeated the point of how the series' name included the verdant bow; it was sad of how the scene of where Raymond and Michelle were aiming the bow together was only a scene filmed for advertisement. It looked very nice and romantic.

It's mean of how Raymond and Michelle were the ones that TVB used to test out the waters to see if newbies could lead, but now that they find that newbies can lead, they throw these two into the back. That's probably why Michelle took her chances of leaving TVB because she'd probably be where Raymond is right now, or worse, if she didn't. Gosh, they were even using her to promote Selena Li up for her last series before she left. She's actually doing well without TVB. I wouldn't be surprised if Raymond took his chances next as Michelle did.

From one news article, it seemed like Mani was in a rush to blurt something out to prevent the Ronald thing to keep going, so she blurted the weight losing issue. Seems like it may have been an exaggeration by Mani to switch the attention focus, even Twins looked surprised when she said it. Perhaps even if Gillian did need to lose weight, it's probably not as extreme as to being 30 pounds because it's highly impossible. Gillian said she was scared that she might be aneroxic afterwards; she's going to be even skinnier than Charlene if she lost 30 pounds. Charlene should just gain some weight, for the film and for her own health's sake; she's too thin. Gillian's just healthy. I think Mani has a big restriction of weight problems on all her artistes; she wanted Deep and Steven to lose weight because they were getting chubby, and she also wanted Kenny to gain weight because he was getting skinny, and she said it's going to cause misunderstandings of people thinking that he's on drugs or something. I guess it's Gillian's turn to lose weight to meet Mani's expectations now, but how come we don't see Mani making Charlene gain some weight?

It seems like all the artistes filmed at different times because it would be hard for them to get together since they're all very busy people. I don't think they even appear at the same time since they transform into one another. My guess is that Aaron probably filmed alone, Eason and Denise together, and Twins together. I hope that Aaron is aware that he has Gillian as a fan of his; Gillian does seem to admire him a lot. I'm not too sure about them acting together though. Aaron isn't exactly at his best in the acting criteria, and he doesn't act in films very often; Gillian could ask him for tips on dancing though. Hey, wouldn't it be awesome if Aaron could invite Gillian as a guest for his concerts?!! : I would love to see that happen! Gillian can be cooperating with her idol on a stage live! Singing and dancing!

Ray should leave but perhaps he hasn't been exposed too much in other markets except TVB's main audience HK so his chances of survival are probably slimmer than Michelle's when she made that bold decision to leave TVB. Hm, so I guess the chances of another serial featuring Ray and Michelle as leads have declined since TVB despises those who leave their company.


Well, what made matters even worse was when Mani mentioned that Gillian hasn't been eating for the past month. What is she implying? That Gillian is an aneroxic?

Well, ever since Sa's weight reduction, her facial features have become more distinct and mature so I guess Mani believes that the thin Sa is prettier than the healthy Sa.

Been reading this thread for quite some time now, so thought I should join the discussion.

I agree that changing the topic from Charlene's rumors to Gil's weight problem (which truely doesn't exist), was rather rude of Mani. Isn't she suppose to be in charge of Twins, and not to make one of them look bad in order to avoid a rumor? Don't mind me saying this, but seems like everyone favors Charlene more, not just promotion and film wise.

30 pounds?! I really can't imagine Gil being that skinny. She looks healthy now, but I'm guessing looks are always better than health. It would've just been better if Mani told Charlene to gain more weight, she looks extremely unhealthy.

Aaron and Twins have perform a song together before, but that was a long time ago.

I think Gil and Charlene should continue filming solo films. Twins' movie have never been really good, aside from TEI, but that was because it was their first action film. It would be better for Gil not to film this movie, after all the praise she got from the serie, which hasn't even released yet. I rather Gil only have this serie for the remainder of this year than watch her reputation sink because of another bad Twins movie.

Yeah, at least Michelle had World's Finest under her belt when she left as her exposure to the world outside of TVB; Rich & Famous had eyes for her as well. It probably won't be a TVB serial if Raymond and Michelle reunite; Raymond said that he does hope for another chance to work with Michelle since it'd be really happy because they're friends and all, but he also implied that it would be a production of another company by saying that they'll see if any production companies ask for their participation.

The not eating for a month statement was probably a big exaggeration so that everyone would be, "Huh?", at her and Gillian instead of Charlene. That statement sounds very weird; a person can't go on without eating for a month! That's probably why Gillian reacted with embarassement, and she had to smoothen it out by saying that she's been eating less instead of not eating.

Well, I guess Charlene has gotten more mature and prettier after her weight loss, but I still think health counts more. Then again, Charlene is an artiste, so she's gotta be looking her best.

Haha! Nice jab at the Charlene and Andy incident! It'd be great if Aaron invited Gillian as a guest for a concert; I bet Gillian would be so happy and honoured to work with her idol! Imagine them doing a dance and singing a song together! I don't know if it's just me, but I think Gillian performed the best of her dancing on Aaron's song out of the three songs that Twins sang as a medley at their concert. Gillian's voice pretty much overlapped Charlene's for all three of those songs. Knowing Gillian, I don't think she would run up and kiss Aaron. She'd probably hug him or something, but most likely she won't do stuff that causes people displeasure.

I agree. It took Gillian quite a while to break some stereotypes and barriers so it would be most depressing watching Gillian fall back down in the acting industry. But let's just hope that this upcoming film will be something different for us to enjoy and the critics to love.


Hopefully, the next collaboration will be soon. I would love that TVB produce the next serial since I love their wardrobe and hair most in comparison to other companies but that probably won't happen.

Gillian probably didn't want to see any gossip or rumors about her aneroxic diet the next day so she had to say something but even that won't stop reporters in weaving their own stories later on in the future so I'm not surprised if we were to come across an article column discussing Gillian's weight again, thanks to Mani and her concern towards Gillian.

I really hope to see Raymond and Michelle collaborate in another serie again, they're just sooo well match. RM, EG and LJ are like the golden couples, strange that the chance of any of them doing another serie/movie together are very very slim. It would be a great idea if Gillian would be able to meet her idol like Charlene. Charlene got more than than needed and I wish Gillian would be able to even get half of that chance. About Gillian going to kiss Aaron seeing him, Gillian seemed to conservative to do that. Plus, she is shy and with EEG's restriction, I think she would probably had weighed the consequences first before making any unncessary moves.

Yeah, when I was talking about nice toned bodies suitable for dancing, I was referring to Korean dancers/singers. They have nice healthy bodies that let the fans and audience know that they're skinny not because they didn't eat for months like Yumiko but rather they worked out/exercised their physical weaknesses which serves a terrific moral for all those youngsters.

I wasn't fond of Twins dancing either but at least Gillian's solos were in sync with her dancers, didn't appear that rushed or too slow but perfect and unique.


I know, those are the golden couples but unfortunately, those golden couples are splitted to promote other artists but what the authorities are forgetting is that, they're called the golden couples for a reason; they work best together not separately.

But please, if these golden couples were to reunite, hopefully, it won't be in sad projects like Moving Targets or Spy Dad.

Well, Gillian doesn't have to lose her first kiss to Aaron, she can lose it to Edison or someone more suitable and then Aaron can steal a kiss from her at his concert in the future. Yeah, Aaron has shared his kissing scenes with way too many females already; it wouldn't be special anymore if Gillian was just another 200th person he kissed.

Mani just ruins everything for Gillian. Upon her arrival, stupid poopy stuff have already been pushed towards Gillian, I cannot imagine how much more Gillian will endure as Twins will reunite to release their album, collaborate again in a film, and do more promotions and functions together especially now that Mani has returned to resume her dominating position. I tend to like Twins when they're on their own like these past few months; there were certainly less comparisons and chaos. The media concentrated on each of their solo projects and actually stayed on topic while complimenting or commenting about their work instead of placing them in competition against each other.

I'm happy that Twins are now together for their albums and film but that only means we'll be reading and hearing less about Gillian as the majority of news usually focus on Sa when Twins are together.

I agree...their choreography is indeed very bad. EEG should really consider hiring another dancechoreographer to replace 'High King' (or whatever they call him), because he is seriously not doing a good job. If I remember correctly, it was he who choreographed for their previous concerts too, which in my opinion were just as bad or maybe even worse than the latest one. He's a professional dance choreographer afterall...shouldn't he be able to make a good or at least decent one once in awhile? I've been watching a show, where young people (mostly in their 20s), who have some kind of dancing background, compete about a price of 250000 kr (that's what the currency in Sweden is called) and even they choreograph better than him.


He has actually a quite huge fanbase in Mainland, since he has been filming many ancient series and recently a pre-modern one over there, which has created many opportunities for fans to meet and chat with him, thus making them like him even more. So I don't think there will be any problem for him, if he eventually decide to leave TVB. On the contrary I think he will only do better, since he seems to have more support/fans in Mainland, compared to what he has in HK.


On Aaron's latest concert, he had like a little speech about him being the only one (or one of the few) who doesn't invite any guests for his concert. So the thing about him inviting Gillian will most likely not happen. It would have been awesome though. But anyways... the funny thing is that he said that this time is an exception, because he has finally invited a guest. Then he went on describing this 'guest', that she is very beautiful and petite/small. After hearing those descriptions the person that pop up in my mind was 'Gillian!', and someone actually thought so too...because he screamed out 'Ah Giu' loudly. Today's news reported that each of Charlene and Gillian will be producing a song on their own for their upcoming cantonese album! Charlene will be producing a fast song while Gillian will be producing a slow song. Gillian said that she has handed a few songs that she has composed to Ronald Ng Lok Shing before, but nothing really came back to her because he's so busy, but she said that he did work on them. Both Twins will be writing lyrics for the upcoming album as well, along with each producing a song. I wonder how the lyrics will turn out, and how Gillian's composing is like? Charlene's lyrics writing for A Chinese Tall Story's themesong was pretty good. I hope they'll be good productions!

Has anyone listened to the new song by the various EEG artistes? It sounds pretty good, at least all those voices didn't clash with each other. For the part where it says Twins, did Twins sing together through those two lines? I'm not too sure because I could've sworn that I can only hear Gillian's voice during " 在場上　你撲前 "; during "由我去殿後", I could hear bits of Charlene, and then I know that they're singing together for sure for "矛共盾攻也未忘要守" because I can hear the stretch of Charlene's voice in the end.

EEG does make last minute changes but in the meantime, I'm really enjoying the moment of anticipating on hearing a new slow solo by Gillian. Cool...that's good that Twins are producing a song of their own. I wonder how it would turn out like....I'm glad Gillian is doing a slow song because I enjoy slow songs better than fast songs. I'm not sure but does that mean they will be singing the song they compose, solo? But I can't wait for Gillian's song!!

It seemed like their schedule is too tight. How are they able to have time to compose their own song with the limited time and then record some good quality songs like that, add to that another mandarin album?? I really think if EEG are able to give them time to perfect each song, there would be less criticisms even though they are not up to people's expectation still....Even if they had talent but no time to practice, it's not going to help them improve much.


It sounded like that they both sang it together but Gillian's voice overpowered Charlene's voice until she stretch the last part then I was able to clearly hear two voices. I hope no obstacles or huge alterations happen before the cantonese album is finalized as well. The songs that Twins are individually being producers for are the ones that they're singing solo for, right? It'd be kind of weird if they were being producers for songs sang by both of them. I think it's the solo songs that they're being producers for, or else Charlene wouldn't have said that she wanted to do a fast song while Gillian will do a slow song. I am looking forward to this; I hope the final product will be good.

Somehow, this arrangement between the solos reminds me of Janice and Jill. It's like how Janice is singing the slow and emotional songs which require rollercoaster movements with the voice while Jill is going towards the faster songs which require a louder and sometimes screaming voice. Though many say that Janice and Jill have almost the same voice, I beg to differ. Janice's voice is more solid than Jill's; Jill's voice seems to have a very, very light scratch in her voice when she sings. It's like how Gillian and Charlene are with their voices, but I can't see Charlene doing R&B music as Jill is; I can see Gillian singing song types like Janice and Kary though.

There is a slight chance that they'll promote the solos equally, if not Gillian's solo more, if our guesses of Gillian carrying on the singing role in the future were correct. I wonder if there'll be another duet version produced for one of solos, or more like for Charlene's solo? I guess not though since it seems like they want to make it like it's each of their own product kind of deal.

You're right; more promotions doesn't always guarantee more success. It's just like what happened at the 2004 concert; Next Stop Diva Queen was promoted a lot while My Father Mother was practically not promoted at all, but fans still sang along with My Father Mother more than they did for Next Stop Diva Queen. It's like Kary as well; Gold Label in general gives Stephy more of the promotion through different aspects, but Kary's songs were able to achieve a lot more on the charts than Stephy's.

Maybe because it's a radio version; even though there was a noticeable difference, it wasn't very obvious, so I wasn't quite sure if they were singing together during the verse or not. Charlene's voice sometimes isn't very obvious when she's singing with more than Gillian. I still hear Gillian's voice way more in the verse, but I think Gillian actually started off the verse alone and then Charlene joined in?

I wonder what Gillian's going to write about; she said something about how lyrics doesn't always have to be about romance, but about some refreshing ideas of the younger generation. Sounds interesting. It's actually nice that Gillian figures that songs can talk about more than romance; when you hear a whole CD going on about love and the lyrics are pretty much written the same way, a person definitely gets bored, like a CD that I've listened to earlier, but I guess I shouldn't say which CD in case there are any fans.


My guess is that the ones they're being producers for are their solos, unless they have more than one solo. I'm pretty sure that Gillian has composed more than one melody for her productions since she mentioned that she's handed over a few of her productions over to Ronald Ng already, and she says that she's going to compose more. I think they might sing the songs that they write/compose together, or maybe some of them solo, or maybe they'll have solo and duet versions. I really hope we get more news about it soon; this is killing me!!!

I think Gillian's voice is beginning to show itself more and more now; it shows that Gillian does have a certain amount of abilities to singing because she really doesn't look like she's forcing herself; her voice comes out very naturally. Some singers sing loudly, but they look like it's taking A LOT of effort to do that. I hope her solo will be a whole new attempt for her to sing differently and strongly.

On today's news, Kenny expressed that he was going to Japan soon for a photoshoot, and while he's there, he's going to go look for Gillian's pictures that are posted on the lamps at the brothels in Japan and then take a picture with it!! He said that he was sure that Gillian would be furious if she found out!!

as for their self composed songs, it's more likely that they will be singing them as solos. it wouldn't make much sense if they sang it as a duet. =T unless eeg wants to further destroy twins as individuals possibilty to shine in their own ways. xP

hmm i can't really say the same about gillian's voice JUST YET. i need to see more recent performances of twins' and or gillian's to decide if her voice is really improving. i'm still quite disappointed with the 06 concert. please let there be an event that can throw me away from that phase. xP

Hmm...interesting, usually when I think of slow songs, it's about love. I wonder how Gillian will go about composing her song revolving on the younger generation theme. Seems pretty unique to be....I hope they would sing it solo because since they composed it, the emotion would convey best if they sing what they wrote. I can't wait for their 2 new albums, especially Gillian's solo song. I hope it turns out better than the KG song (I didn't quite like it at first). I never knew that Gil composed songs before, sounds really great. Really hope that she continues composing when/if Twins split. I've always had more respect for artists who wrote their own songs and put ideas into the songs than just singing to someone else's lyrics. Seems as though they're not just singers but artists. There's also a bad side to her composing and producing her own solo song. It may turn out horribly, and people will start to degrade her more than they already have. But being a Gillian fan, you just have to hope and wish her luck on her first self-composed song, and hope it will turn out great, so great that she can continue doing that when Twins split.

Can't really say much about the Mani and Gillian issue, I don't pay much attention to Mani. I just know that she seems to favor Charlene more, really unfair since she's TWINS manager. But hey, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Although, asking Gil to lose 30 pounds is already asking her to put her own life in danger in order for Twins to look alike. Stupid is all I have to say about that issue. But you can also look at that situation in a more positive way, that Gillian is willing to lose 30 pounds for a movie, that shows real dedication and professionalism. I agree as well. Janice has a beautiful voice suitable for slow songs whereas Jill? Hm, perhaps I don't find Jill's songs that refreshing nor original so I haven't completely became a fan like I am towards Janice. Jill does possess potential but perhaps she should concentrate on songs that would bring out her voice more.

As for Twins reinventing themselves as hip hop artists or something similar to that affect, personally, Gillian would be more convincing. In Strawberry, Apple, Orange, the majority of Twins fans in general agree that both Twins sound great rapping that small portion but Gillian slightly outshined a bit more. And a similar statement was blurted out by a person who I believe detests Gillian the most I have ever crossed path with and who happens to be an extremely strong Sa advocate too, but I won't mention any names lol. It was also during the Twins Concert 2005 Shanghai or was it Australia (? ) that fans were wildly passionate in synchronizing their voices with Gillian's during the live performance of My Father Mother. I was quite surprised how everyone knew all the lyrics and each high/low note. It was like a wave of collaborating choir singing along with Gillian. Even Gillian seemed quite impressed. Do you guys know which I'm concert I'm referring to? If not, I could upload it.

I think towards Gillian, the topic of love would actually be something new and will always be an issue people and fans are interested in tuning into. But whatever satisfies Gillian is perfectly fine with me. I should at least admire Gillian for not creating rumors about him and who just to promote the song later on even though I don't mind as long as Edison is aware. EG needs some more news together these days.

Gillian is pretty calm and stable with her facial expressions and posture while singing. I see some stars who twist and turn, squint their faces back and forth, and move around so much, the audience including me pay more attention to their physical presentation rather than listening to their live performance. Sorry, I can't restrain myself from the disturbance.


Kenny is super adorable. When he returns to HK, he could confess that the only female he spent a night hugging and smooching with at the Japanese brothel was the beautiful Gillian Chung, the lamp version of course.I love how Kenny always either directly protects Gillian like the knife-pen incident or indirectly shields Gillian from a bad image by diverging the negative news into a funny joke so that it won't hurt Gillian as much. Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing too. It's nice that Gillian is bold and confident enough to compose and produce a song about the younger generation like *ahem* her old flame Edison but I guess since it's her first personal solo, she should at least concentrate in the theme of love in which every child, teenager to adult can relate to. And when Gillian has already gained the acceptance of being a writer and composer, she could perhaps turn to something more important like that, the issue of the younger generation. BUT who knows. The solo describing the difficulties the younger generation is facing based on her personal emotions and experiences could be a smashing hit.

Gillian has always been such a sport at sacrificing her health for her career or what she loves to do. She rarely complains about the tough practice of martial arts for Twins Effect I & II and HOF but has only thanked her teachers for encouragement and enlightenment to better herself.

I have a liking towards both sisters, but I do prefer Janice more as well. Janice and Jill both have potential, but I guess they can't go on a similar route because they're twins with similar face features; that's why they're put in two complete different genres of music. I think the only fault for Jill's appearance is her debut CD; her singing was quite nice, but many of her songs seem to rigged off of other songs, of which the lyricist is to blame. 'Funny Jealousy' pretty much came off of 'Graduation' by Vitamin C and 'Misbehave' came off of 'Cry Smile Affinity' by Jordan Chan (song that Gillian sang at the 2006 concert).

I think Gillian slight outshined more because for the parts that required the stretching of the voice, the nearly screaming parts, Gillian brought them out smoothly, still in a singing voice without screaming; whereas, Charlene seemed to be on the verge of shouting for those parts. Nevertheless, 'Strawberry Apple Orange' was still a very cute song, performed well by both Twins. I hope Gillian does mainly go onto Kary and Janice's genre of songs when she goes solo, but maybe she can throw in a few songs of other genres like Rock, R&B, or maybe even Rap.

Wow, that sounds pretty amazing. It sounded like a choir? I still feel that it's a big surprise that the fans knew every word and note of this song that was never promoted besides in the film. Maybe it's just the big attraction of Gillian that made the fans pay attention to this song! Perhaps Gillian was very touched by her fans knowing all the lyrics? If we were surprised, I'm sure she would've been as well. She probably didn't expect it.

I like how Gillian performs on stage; when she shows emotion, it's usually through her eyes, knits of her eyebrows, and some hand gestures <-- I think she got that off of Kenny; Gillian started doing hand gestures while she sings after she cooperated with Boy'Z, and hand gestures are a thing for Kenny when he sings. Some people refer to that as being dull, but they can go ahead with their opinion. It's okay for some physical movement, but extreme movement is definitely a disturbance.

Yeah, this is about Charlene being a pregnant woman in Rob-B-Hood with Louis Koo as the father of her baby. She said that the fake stomach is pretty difficult to carry around, so her waist and back hurts from it. Charlene also hopes to give birth after she's thirty, and to give birth to twins, a boy and a girl.

Don't worry too much about the commerical; there are four versions of it. Aaron, Eason, Denise and Twins will be narrating for each. This one with the Eason narration that you posted up just happened to have less shots of Gillian in it. The one with Aaron's narration was equal between Twins. The ones with Denise's and Twins' narrations aren't released yet; I wonder what channel it's going to be on? Eason's appeared on TVB, and Aaron's appeared on cable. Either way, I think all the versions just mainly focus on Aaron anyway.

I think Charlene plays a minor supporting role, kind of like her role in New Police Story because when I see news on the movie that tells whos in the movie, I never see Charlene being mentioned.

I'm glad to know that in the Aaron one, Gillian had more screentime. I was really anticipating on seeing this ad, seeing how Gillian had the 'cool' style and when I first saw the Eason one, I got kind of mad at how she got so less screentime, but after seeing this one, I'm feeling better. =D Can't wait to see the other versions too.

Also, for the solo productions of Twins, I really do hope that they promote Gillian's song because in earlier months, with Gillian's solo performances, good ratings for her movie, and praises on her series, I was really happy and glad that Gillian's getting more recognition. I was also thinking that the predictions of Gillian being a solo singer to becoming more and more true. But lately, I've been having second thoughts about it. Seeing how Gillian's chance of singing with Kenny and showing to the HK audience of singing solo, well not exactly solo, was canceled. Even though fans saw how well she performed at the concert, but performing at JSG would have shown to people that aren't a fan of Gillian/Twins how good she is. And let's say IF for their solos, they don't promote Gillian's either equally as much as Charlene's or more, then it's going to make it seem like they don't plan on promoting Gillian as a solo singer even more. This could be due to Mani coming back from America and changing the plans, seeing how it seems like she doesn't like Gillian much, but I don't know, but I do hope what I'm seeing and thinking is wrong and that they do promote Gillian as a solo singer. We'll all just have to wait for that time to come to see what's going to happen to Gillian's future with EEG.
