Thanks for sharing! This song is really good! It's a ballad, so we don't have to worry about all the songs being so youthful on the album. It's so heartbreaking to hear this though. 'I Really Want To Love Him' is better than any of the previous three songs. Highly recommended! I'm looking forward to the MV as well. I read that they will be inviting the same guy from 'Starlight Amusement Park' as the male lead for this MV; the MV will talk about Charlene falling in love with him, yet he loves Gillian instead. After Gillian found out Charlene's pain, she painfully decides to end her relationship with him because she feels her friendship weighs more toward her. This is a MV to look forward to!

Interesting plot.....but I wonder would it be as interesting as it sounds...especially when it's a triangle with Twins... innocent.gif but this is something different since their other MV which had a similar plotline like someone mentioned.

I think the guy from "Starlight Amusement Park" is kind of cute. I was hoping he would have some scenes with Gillian, alone but not a chance....Charlene definitely had much more time in that MV with her solo scenes with the guy! I wonder if the guy and Gillian would have a lot of chemistry?! When I watched the MV, I wanted the guy to be with Gillian...lolx..probably have something to do with the fact that I want Gillian to have a "partner" too but I think if they were together it would have looked cute.

Even though if there wasn't (isn't going to have) many scenes of Gillian and the guy, if they have chemistry, it's going to show! Like Edison, my friend (not chinese or know Twins) watched "Twins Effect" and she thought Gillian would have looked better with Edison then with Charlene. I don't think Gillian had any solo scenes with Edison..maybe just one or two extremely short scenes....I'm sure no one is going to believe me... sweat.gif

As for the solos, I suppose we don't have to be too grim on them. I have no complain on the lyrics since they're both nicely written by the same lyricist. It's just that Charlene's solo's lyrics look more in depth using lots of words that describe how painful is meant, and Gillian's solo was put together using simple and straightforward words. But I'd say this is because of the different topic. Gillian's solo is referring to a determined girl who is giving attempts to forget her boyfriend and is moving on so that's why the lyrics are so carefree while Charlene's solo refers to a girl who can't seem to let go of the relationship and still dwelling on her boyfriend, therefore using the painful words. An article mentioned that they assigned the solos by the characteristics of each of Charlene's and Gillian's voices, so perhaps the solos will suit them? Or else it woudl be the production crew doing another bad job with each of their abilities. dry.gif The article expressed that Gillian's solo is an interesting production/collabration between 呂紹淳(Composer) and 何啟弘(Lyricist), but I'm not sure what 'interesting' means to them, but they didn't give any descriptions about Charlene's solo; they just said that her solo is produced by 伍仲橫(Composer) and 何啟弘(Lyricist). From looking at lyrics, it still looks like Gillian's solo can be sang fast or slow; Charlene's solo mainly looks like it's sang slow.

I quite like Gillian's song, at least the lyrics after reading the translation. I just hope the music is going to be just as good unlike the songs that had been released so far.... The lyrics are pretty unique in a way. Like the "Monday..Tuesday.." I can't wait to hear how it turns out. Glad it's only going to be one week or so more before it releases! yeah.gif

When they said according to ability, I automatically thought about Gillian singing a ballad while Charlene singing a fast song... 1.gif So far, everything from the lyrics to the title, Charlene's song is going to be a ballad while Gillian's could be either one. How could their observations be so opposite of ours...lolx...such a stretch that I wonder if it's really according to their ability or to the overall audience's taste. I think even though, everything is getting more hip and advanced, there's a majority amount of people who favors ballads more than fast songs....Ballads seemed more unverisally liked or favored more...<--just my opinion/observation.

Congratz to Twins for winning 4 awards!

Gillian was wearing jeans @ the 3rd Annual Music King Award. This time I actually like Charlene's hair better. And this time Gillian does look like she got skinny her stomache don't show anymore. Lol. And I like her outfit too.

Hm..the MV is quite interesting. So the guy ends up with Charlene again? Aww Gillie get's no love in any kind of MV but of course besides "Rumours"

Thanks for sharing the pictures!!

Gillian looks great in jeans! I love her outfit and hairstyle and all but not her shirt. The dressy part...if that bottom part was not there, I would have love it more. I also really like Charlene's outfit. So pretty! Their fashions are getting better lmao.gif (j/k)

It's only an audio clip. You didn't hear Gillian? Perhaps because Gillian is singing quite softly yet so soothing. Sa begins the song then at 17 seconds is where Gillian comes in singing her solo verse, 35-51 seconds is where Sa sings the chorus alone and then at 52-1:08 seconds is when Gillian sings the other portion of the chorus solo and then the same pattern of taking turns singing between Twins continues until the very ending verse, Twins only share one verse together at the end. Well, this is what I heard so I'm not quite sure I'm being very accurate since there were a lot of noise in the background making it difficult to hear. I like this song.

Really?? I thought Gillian started out the song. It sounded so much like Gillian's voice in the beginning. I should listen to it carefully again because I really thought Gillian sang first...hmm...but then the background sounds were so loud, it's hard to listen to.... sweat.gif

Edit: Nvm..does sound like Charlene started first...lolx...

yea i also think that for gillian's solo mv (if any), it would be great if gillian had a different outfit for each day, maybe even a different hairstyle. x] and different guys too.... lol just kidding. x] but yea, if only eeg had a suggestion box. x.

LOL...Different guys...Paradise! I like your idea for Gillian's MV..wouldn't it be nice to see Gillian changing so much outfits in one MV...better yet, demonstrate all the different styles she could be wearing infatuated.gif I hope she would have a unique MV but she might not even have one down.gif

I somehow think the screentime will favour Charlene more as well. According to the article I was reading, Charlene has many emotional/painful scenes in this MV, so I'm afraid that what you described will actually happen. Gillian may end up being the one with the least screentime between the three. Charlene will have the most because she'll probably have many solo scenes with the description of her emotions. The guy will have decent screentime because they'll have scenes of how Charlene met him when he helped her find her dog, and I'm guessing they'll have some scenes where they hang around together so Charlene could fantasize about him. Then Gillian will come out as the girlfriend which destroys any hope of Charlene's, and by then, it'll be towards the end of the MV, so we'll see Gillian breaking up with him walking away sadly, and she makes up with Charlene. End of story.

Wow...from that description, you already might pity Charlene's character a little more even thought both shares a lot of pain because of the guy. Especially the screentime, sometimes it helps the character gain more sympathy...Like the "Lady in a Perplexed World" Charlene's character was so pitiful and by the guy's side all the while, while Gillian was no where in site and when Gillian did appear, it wasn't such a pretty scene where she ruined the shop wacko.gif

QUOTE(Little_Purple_Bell @ May 23 2006 12 03 AM)

I don't think they made mistakes because the song is getting deleted from the Taiwanese version because of the vulgar language. Personally, I don't think it'd matter too much with the word 'b!tch' in the song because how many people in Taiwan/Mainland or even part of HK will know that it's a word of profanity? In the chinese forums, no one saw a problem with it; some people even asked what it meant. The big deal about this is because it's Twins who are singing this song. Twins, idol of all ages. It may be a bad influence to small children if they try singing along with the song. It doesn't matter with HK because it's not like HK people don't use profanity, but they use it in chinese that is. The lyrics do make sense, but I'd say it isn't totally neccessary; the lyricist could've easily found alternatives for that part, or does she just want to have it appear out of the ordinary?

So...does that mean the song won't be released or just not Mainland and Taiwan? I kind of wanted to hear the song. I wonder who would be singing that part of the song? I think I read in a eariler post that Gillian is singing that part or did I misread it??

QUOTE(Little_Purple_Bell @ May 23 2006 12 03 AM)

Anyway, I just read from the news that '49 Days' is entered in the Grand Prix Award 2006! The producer of this film is very thrilled to see that the first film produced by his company is making another achievement by being selected to enter a film festival overseas. He expressed that if the cast has time, he will invite them to fly over to Japan for further promotions.

That's great news!! clapping.gif How important is that Awards Show?? I hope it's able to win some awards becuase "House of Fury" didn't win anything...Oo...Japan! Maybe Gillian can check out the "Lampost Gillian". Wouldn't it be funny if some Japanese guys still didn't know the truth and mistaking Gillian as a prostitue or was it a Geshi? Geshi's are high class artists and supposed to be graceful and really beautiful. innocent.gif

QUOTE(Little_Purple_Bell @ May 23 2006 12 03 AM)

I've decided to translate some of the lyrics of the upcoming album for those who want a better understanding of the lyrics. It also helps me to understand the lyrics more since thinking is actually needed to translate.

EDIT:
After translating, I feel that Gillian's solo, 'Which Day is it Today?', gives me the same feeling as Hilary Duff's 'So Yesterday'. It's like how the girl doesn't want to dwell on a relationship anymore, so she decides to forget about it through each day of the week. Perhaps the style will be like that as well? Maybe it's a song that has a faster pace but not with a weird tone like 'Transformation Party'?

'Black Box' sounds like a contradicting girl, or more like a hypocrite, because she's getting angry and blowing up when her boyfriend goes through her secrets, yet she's doing the same thing with her boyfriend's secrets. It simply sounds like a girl with a blow-up attitude. laugh.gif

'I Really Want To Love Him' is nicely arranged because the lyrics are actually written to have two girls expressing their role in the relationship. Neither of the girls are experiencing more or less pain than the other. Charlene isn't able to love a guy that she loves because he is her friend's boyfriend, yet Gillian doesn't have any better of an experience because she knows that Charlene does have an impact on her relationship with her boyfriend.

I feel that 'You are the Bravest' is going to be a ballad too. The lyrics of this song are so bittersweet. A girl's boyfriend has left her to make his dreams come true, but the girl doesn't utter a word of complaint but instead gives full support to him and waits for him to come back. blush.gif It really makes me wonder: What if he doesn't come back?

~
Which Day is it Today?
Singer: Gillian Chung
Composer: Lui Siu Sun
Lyricist: Ho Kai Wang

Monday: Get rid of the habit of waiting for your phonecalls
Tuesday: Deliberately mess up the hairstyle you love.
Wednesday: Take care of the broken heart, and don't be affected by tears anymore.
Thursday: I'm halfway of being successful of forgetting about you.

Friday: Manipulate myself to believing I can actually be this brave.
Saturday: Change all the locks and switches of my house.
Sunday: Go shopping to buy cosmetics, and use a good mood to pay the bills.
Now I've discovered that letting go of the accumulated love is not hard at all.

All the sweet words and honeyed phrases has too high of calories;
it has gotten to the point of where I can't take it anymore.
Why don't I just change into a smiling face and go out to relax?

The solemn pledge of eternal love has too high of a risk.
It's only that there are people spreading rumours.
The love you give only hobbles;
it's not trendy enough and much too old-fashioned.

Thanks for translating!!

If Gillian's song is going to sound like Hilliary Duff's song, I think I would like it. I liked that song. The melody was really nice. All these songs are about love and heartbreaks lmao.gif Gillian's stands out from those songs because even though it's about break-up, it's a happier tone or view on a break-up while the others aint that happy or "youthful". Gillian's song fits more in the range of the theme. sweat.gif

Edit: Forgot to say..JJ Lin composed the song for "I Really Want to Love Him"?! That's why I especially love the song. I love listening to JJ...lolx blush.gif Oh yea...the song title kinds of tell you who is the main leads for the MV from the roles they play. But if I analyze it in another way, it could also be saying how Gillian really wanted to stay with the guy but can't because friendship is more important innocent.gif

I don't know if they are still making a sequel. News was made about the sequel when '49 Days' made good results in the theatres, but when I watched the behind the scene interviews, the director said something like a successful film doesn't necessarily need to have a sequel or something. But the news did mention that the sequel's plot will be talking about Ling Chi's future, so I don't know how Siu Chin will tie in unless Gillian's playing an older character, or perhaps Gillian will play the older Ling Chi?

If they had a suggestion box, I would request that Gillian portray the older version of Ling Chi. I've only managed watching a few clips of 49 Days from my cousin's place and apparently, those shots were of the little girl. She could definitely act. Ling Chi is quite bizarre and would probably eventually mature into a delusional or emotionally aloof individual, something I would love to watch Gillian portray, which will be another break through role if BOK wasn't enough to determine that.

It's so hard to ignore that MVs are always geared towards Charlene because it's true. Being a fan of Gillian's, we'd obviously want to see her on the screen just as much as Charlene, but it seldomly happens. It doesn't exactly matter which role Gillian and Charlene are given because things will usually gear towards Charlene more. Even if it's not for because we hope to see Gillian more, they should at least think of the MV's storyline. Wouldn't the MV be better in general if both the characters were described with depth? Why can't they just show each Twin during the times of when they sing alone? And distribute it nicely and evenly when they sing together? Twins' MVs never have one of them get the guy if both were in love with him. 'Starlight Amusement Park' was different because Gillian didn't like the guy, but she just didn't want him stealing Charlene. lmao.gif Even with the MVs with 'Friend's Love' and 'Lady In A Perplexed World', I finally found out the ending for that. The ending was actually presented during a function, so it was acted out live. In the end was William telling Gillian that he loved her the most and apologized to Charlene, but Gillian chose her friendship with Charlene instead of her relationship with William.

Oh, but wasn't William in critical condition lol? Gillian's breakup would kill him on the spot! loool.gif It's nice how Sa sacrifices her health for poor William but the one who eventually ends up sacrificing the most is Gillian. I mean, who on earth will end a relationship knowing that he/she loves each other and there really is no third party but the term friendship? Couldn't the friend just be happy for the other friend in the relationship and move on lol? loool.gif I don't see how Gillian breaking up with William will help strengthen the friendship either; it would be awkward for anyone. This has nothing to do with Sa but I don't like that idea. I mean, if two friends happen to fall in love with the same guy, let the guy be the ultimate judge in who he wishes to be with and whoever he chooses, just be happy. I mean, why make it seem as if If I can't have him, then you can't either ordeal, indirectly. But if the guy was a jerk then of course he deserves no one.

But anyways, I just hope the screen time will balance out but hm, that rarely happens. rolleyes.gif

I like the music that JJ Lin composes too; it's so soothing. It's definitely the best of all that's released of the album so far. Now that you speak of Charlene beginning the song, I wonder why it's been switched nowadays that Charlene begins the songs more while Gillian begins the songs in the earlier days? blink.gif Have you guys noticed that almost all the songs that Twins win awards for or get recognition for are started off by Gillian? It's just an amusing discovery.

2001 - Love Crush Tutoring Center (G)
- Girl School Boy Student (G)
2002 - Love Bigger Than Sky (G)
- Eye Red Red ( C )
2003 - Kite And Wind (G)
- Thank You For Heartbreak (G)
2004 - Feminity (G)
- Disgrace ( C )
2005 - Lifesaver (G)
- Samba Queen ( C )
2006 - Kindergarten (G)
- One Time Not Twice ( G )

I never thought I'd anticipate on this album so much; I didn't even think I'd buy the album because of the first two released songs, but there definitely seems to be surprises on the album, let it be good or bad ones. The only thing that could let us down about Gillian's solo right now is if the composer screwed the tune up. It doesn't even matter if the solo isn't plugged as long as it's a good production. 'My Father, Mother' still managed to get recognition even though it wasn't plugged, so let's hope 'Which Day is it Today?' is able to achieve the same or better. I still wonder if it's a rare thing for this lyricist and this composer to collaborate? The news made it sound so awesome or what not. blink.gif

Yeah. I actually happen to love the all the songs that begin with Gillian. That is a neat observation. yeah.gif I wonder why the switch too? JJ Lin is a great individual. I at times enjoy his productions more than Lee Hom's. blink.gif

I could care less if Gillian's solo was promoted or not either. All of the promoted songs aren't always the best anyways. As long as Gillian's solo is quite decent and catchy, I'm sure it will be recognized no matter what.

I like ballads more than anything too but if Gillian's solo is simiar to So Yesterday, not the Chinese version of it but just the same genre of pop-rock, then I would love to hear Gillian experience a new side of her potential. Gillian has already demonstrated far more than enough for her fans that she definitely can execute ballads in both the recording studio and onstage live so it would be something different and quite a challenge for Gillian to take on a pop-rock solo.

If the Mandarin crew does invest a lot more into the music videos than the Cantonese productions, Gillian should portray a fashion-show like week in her music video since fashion is another huge attribute in Taiwan. I really want to see Gillian wear feminine pink clothes, to dark gothic-ish pop-rock outfits, cute PJs, to perhaps even a sexy school uniform lol but just something to entertain the audience with and a visible transition of her emotions towards the relationship. Hopefully, everything will fall into place for Gillian's solo. I want to see Gillian projecting a similar image like Hilary in the music video.

Hilary Duff- So Yesterday Music Video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2YZ7pk7U0g

Hm, as for that scene of Gillian ruining the store, that was quite unnecessary lol but Gillian would portray quite a convincing villain. wacko.gif

Yeah, Gillian could go visit her lamp clone lol but I doubt she has that much time.

Sometimes, strong emotional songs stand out more than sad ballads because pop-rockish songs just trigger a lot of emotions and especially after a breakup is when hatred is the strongest so a solo like Gillian's would most likely describe the rollarcoaster of emotions each girl is experiencing on her own after a breakup. And I'm glad that Gillian isn't singing a sad ballad based on love, too many of those already exist. Even Gillian's Cantonese solo ballad won't revolve around the same old topic of love and her other solo ballad My Father, Mother illustrated a different type of love rather than mainstream love so at least Gillian is being quite mature with her solo songs so far. Not every breakup ends up in tears. A woman can strongly move on and close that chapter of her life without dwelling upon it for weeks and months. I like how Gillian's solos are always so encouraging. yeah.gif

Just from reading the lyrics, you can totally tell that the song somehow is represented through Sa's character. rolleyes.gif

JJ Lin is the person who sang the song "Mermaid" in my "The Myth" music video of Edison and Gillian.

Well, love is a popular issue among the youth and that so happens to be their market target with this album.

Can anyone tell me in Twins' 2006 Concert, what songs did they perform solo and who the original singers were? I went back to the pages where you guys were talking about the concert and caught a few titles in there, but not too sure. Also, in the second disc, they sang 2 medleys, what songs did they sing?

Back on topic, I think "I Really Want to Love Him" is quite nice, but I can't really tell from the clip. You would think they would change the storyline or at least switch Twins' roles around since they already did something similiar in "Lady in a Complex World," but I guess it doesn't matter since it's a different market. I don't know, I just hope that it doesn't turn out like that video, or like "Starlight Amusement Park," Gillian didn't have nearly as much screen time than Charlene. I guess we have to wait and see.

Speaking of JJ Lin, I really started liking him around the time you made the EG MV, asillysaint. Quite a nice MV too.

It would be great if Gillian could portray the older version of Ling Chi because Ling Chi as a child already showed some wacko yet interesting characteristics, and after she's been through so much with her parents dying while she was so young, I'd really want to see what will happen to her as an older girl. There were still loose ends of the story; I still get the 'Huh? It's over? Isn't there something more?' feeling when the credits start rolling for '49 Days'. It really feels like it's not enough. I feel they could elaborate more on the rhino horn more since that is the chinese title of the film. They've given us information about the rhino horn here and there throughout the film, but there could be something more. If the story went on with Ling Chi as an older girl, I think she would do more studies on the rhino horn and do something about her parents because Ling Chi and Siu Chin were informed at the end that Ling Chi's parents won't be able to meet each other even in hell because her mother had committed suicide. A story could totally be written on that. Ling Chi's character would really be something to go more in depth about. If a sequel will be made, I think Sundream Motions Pictures will invite Gillian to be part of it because Tsui Siu Ming, their CEO and producer of '49 Days', has expressed that he sees Gillian as his lucky star from the success of '49 Days'. innocent.gif

I don't know why they suddenly switched it; it was mostly Gillian beginning the songs, but it's mostly Charlene nowadays. But the songs beginning with Gillian still manage to creep up and snatch some awards, despite the limited quantity of them. dry.gif It's like how they plugged 'One Time Not Twice', 'Kindergarten', 'Golden Dream House', 'A Story From texa$', and 'Searching For Mozart', but the ones that actually got awards/recognition were 'One Time Not Twice' and 'Kindergarten', which are two of those rare ones that begin with Gillian. innocent.gif

I just hope for Gillian's solo to be decently produced, and I don't care about it being plugged/promoted. We can already see what 'great' songs they chose to plug for starters of their mandarin album.

It'd be nice if Gillian's solo is of the genre pop-rock because not only will it be something new for Gillian to present, but it could add more to the music industry! Since it's a Twins album that's releasing right now, HK will still be aware of it, and then perhaps new genres can be added to HK's market! We know that Gillian is very capable of delivering ballads, so I suppose she doesn't have to stress that point to us much again, and she's having a cantonese solo ballad out in the summer, so it's all good. I just really hope that her mandarin solo has a good tune to it, and hopefully it will be something pop-rock instead of something plain weird like in 'Transformation Party'. smilie.GIF

We'd be extremely lucky if Gillian does get a MV for her solo and if it gets decently invested in. It would be so awesome if Gillian was sponsored with a different outfit for each day of the week during her song! infatuated.gif Perhaps Gillian should just sponsor herself since she seems like she has a big, interesting, and trendy wardrobe of her own. Seven different outfits with distinct styles would be something to see! Hopefully if there is a MV filmed, the MV's quality will be somewhat up to par with Hilary's MV. It'd be great if Gillian could invite someone to portray her ex-boyfriend as well. shifty.gif

I like how Gillian's solos are always so encouraging. yeah.gif

Yeah, I like how Gillian's solos illustrate different situations in life instead of the usual things. 'My Father, Mother' was a great song because it described how great the love of parents is and how a youngster feels when she/he is just about to step into adulthood, but this song reassures that parents will always be behind and supporting their children no matter what. Her upcoming solo talks about a break up alright, but who's there to say that a break up has to be sad? The song's pretty much telling us that one cannot dwell on something in the past forever, and the key is to find the right moment to move on with your life. I wonder what her cantonese solo will be about? She's expressed that she doesn't want to talk about romance all the time, but more about life in general. I can't wait for her next solo! A piece of good news is that the Taiwanese version of 'Around the World with 80 Dollars' is coming out on the 26th of this month, so we may be able to listen to it before June 2nd. shifty.gif

Just from reading the lyrics, you can totally tell that the song somehow is represented through Sa's character. rolleyes.gif

Well, if we just look deeper into it, we can tell ourselves that the title goes both ways through both characters. We can obviously see why Charlene's character is expressing, 'I Really Want To Love Him', but as bluehearts stated, that expression can be applied through Gillian's character as well. Gillian's character probably wants to continue loving him as well, but she decides to leave him for Charlene. If you're asking me, I think Gillian deserves some solo scenes to express her character's pain as well. dry.gif Actually it seems like her character is experiencing even more pain because she's leaving a relationship that could actually keep going on if she didn't find out that Charlene loved her boyfriend as well, but what can we say? It's a Twins MV; Twins never get into a dispute over a guy. Either they each get a guy, or neither get a guy, or it's just Charlene getting into a relationship while Gillian is the friend with advice.

Huh? I didn't really hear anything about Gillian being slow. blink.gif They were just interviewed about how they played on the game show and about their boat trip with Kenny and Steven, and Charlene was also interviewed of how she was feeling after the surgery on her leg. Gillian was really cute when she said that if she didn't know an answer, she'll just follow on what Eric says! Is Gillian good friends with Eric Kok? They seem like good friends because Gillian said that he gave her suggestions on how to treat her eye when she had a problem with her eye, and Eric would always joke about Gillian. When Eric was 'Minutes To Fame' as a guest, there was a little girl who went on to sing 'Winter Time' while twirling with her hula hoop, and Eric made a comment along the lines of, 'The hula hoop is a neat idea, but you better not let Gillian see it because she can't do it like you can!' Then another group of girls went on to sing 'Femininity', and he was like, 'Wonder what Gillian thinks of this?!' Then in this inteview, he said that he won't dare to pick on Charlene because she knows when to do a bit of whining, but he says it's alright for him to pick on Gillian just because it's Gillian. They might be since he played her brother in 'If You Care...'

Can anyone tell me in Twins' 2006 Concert, what songs did they perform solo and who the original singers were? I went back to the pages where you guys were talking about the concert and caught a few titles in there, but not too sure. Also, in the second disc, they sang 2 medleys, what songs did they sing?

Gillian:
啼笑姻緣 - (Original Singer: Jordan Chan)
好事多為 - (Original Singer: Joey Yung)

Charlene:
假如讓我說下去 - (Original Singer: Miriam Yeung)
愛是最大權利 - (Original Singer: Ping Pung)
傾心 - (Original Singer: Radias)

First Medley:
震撼,煞科,失憶諒解備忘錄
(Original Singers: Sandy Lam, Sammi Cheng, Aaron Kwok)

Second Medley:

Yeah, Lydia is a difficult song to sing beautifully, even Rainie couldn't perform it live that well but I want Gillian to explore her strengths and weaknesses within the song, use the song to her advantage as a guidance to the areas she needs work on. Gillian's voice is sweet and high but not as fragile as Rainie's. Lydia requires strength and firm vocals which is something Rainie doesn't have. Rainie can't stretch too low or else she'll run out of breath and go off tune. Rainie is best with high ballads. Whereas Gillian, her voice is gentle but not to the point of breaking if she was to sing at a very low/deep tone which suits Lydia. Gillian just needs to acquaint herself with the emotions of Lydia, practice when to project volume and strength, and when to release the notes into a high level of screaming; Gillian would do just fine. Gillian would never know if she doesn't give it a try. Gillian's voice adapts quite well. During her earlier solo performances, Gillian was a bit hesitant and unwilling to explore outside of the standard notes but as each solo live performance gave her more confidence, she also learned new techniques to adjust her voice accordingly, Gillian needs to perform a song like Lydia, perhaps mess up or make a mistake in order to grow from that point into something more. With each new performance whether it be solo or as Twins now, Gillian has only amazingly improved. Her most recent live performance would have to be I Really Want to Love Him and if you listen carefully beyond the background noise, Gillian's sweet voice beautifully and flexibly grasped all of the notes quite well; Gillian's voice I have to say was flawless, repeat flawless. Gillian's voice isn't too far from the CD version. Actually, I would rather hear Gillian live than on CD as Gillian challenges herself live, altering the original notes and exposing another side of the song that has never been unveiled to us if we were to just listen to the CD. It only took two live performances of Hover Bird for Gillian to master and perfect the song during live events; I want to hear Gillian perform the same with Lydia.

Yeah and some people claim Gillian's acting as being stiff? blink.gif I was surely touched by Gillian's 2-3 second closeup shot there. rolleyes.gif Gillian was such a gorgeous beauty in that music video. Major Eye Candy. infatuated.gif Oh yeah, I love the song because Gillian expresses so much emotions singing it.

Yeah I think Eric and Gillian are good friends. Cause Eric is always making comments on Gillian. i love jj lin! he's so talented.

anyway, not to go off topic in this current discussion, but i was reading in ah sa's forum that there was

recent news that she was having hearing problems now and that she was scared that her hearing would

affect her ability to listen to the beat of a song and be able to sing along with it...not to overthink things, but

could this be about the time that twins will split up and gillian will go off to singing with charlene going

off to acting due to her "hard of hearing"? wavecry.gif i know that some people want twins to split up, but i

really love gillian's movies (especially BOK, Colour of the Truth, 49 Days, House of Fury, Just One Look,

etc). I'd personally be sad if Twins split up.

I believe other stars call Gillian slow because she's not as whiny and quick with verbal words like Sa as Eric had mentioned but it doesn't mean that Gillian is any less intelligent. Gillian is more of actions than words and plus Gillian is quite considerate of others when speaking. whistle.gif

Hm, acting requires good listening abilities too lol. I think Sa is just ill at the moment because she hasn't been receiving proper rest and probably won't likely to either since all of the events and functions seem so rushed and jammed packed together.

I would also miss Gillian onscreen but if EEG is willing to invest and promote Gillian in the music industry with as much effort as they originally built up Twins, then perhaps Gillian would be best in the music industry.

I just wish Gillian would participate in another great role like Beyond Our Ken before she exits because honestly, the upcoming Twins film will not suffice at all. n_thumbdown.gif

Wonder if there is a wall *cough EEG cough* blocking this next film collarboration since the authorities from 49 Days seems quite interested and adores Gillian a lot through their endless compliments and appreciation for her participation in the success of the film? dry.gif

Yes, if there is any barrier at all, it would more than likely be EEG. We can see that Tsui Siu Ming is really pleased by Gillian's participation in the film and the success she brought, so there isn't a reason of why he wouldn't invite her for the sequel; he stated that he would. I find that Tsui Siu Ming is a much better producer than his wife by looking at the quality between the films, '49 Days' and 'The Death Curse'. Twins have several popular and memorable songs up to date but the one ballad that seems to surface everytime the duo Twins is mentioned is Kite and Wind. That's probably why Kite and Wind is always performed in each Twins concert. Kite and Wind really is one of the most beautiful songs Twins have been recognized for and Gillian was the lead singer for that particular song. whistle.gif Gillian rarely begins a song nowadays but yes, the two recent ones like Kindergarten and One Time Not Twice have been well accepted. harhar.gif

In 'Kite and Wind', it was most obvious that Gillian was leading the song. She sang the main parts of the song throughout. That was mainly why I could actually do those edits to form a 'solo version'; it was Gillian did the main parts; therefore, I just had to do a bit of adjusting and rearranging, and I can almost smuggle the finished product in as an actual song. It's pretty cool of how even though Gillian doesn't begin songs very often during recent times, only about two songs per album begin with Gillian.
QUOTE(asillysaint @ May 24 2006 9 25 PM)

Better yet if Gillian's solo was pop-rock like F.I.R.'s Lydia. sweat.gif I'm dying to hear Gillian perform an emotionally powerful song like that but I doubt it. Twins songs are always simplified one way or another but just the thought of Gillian singing something different like Lydia is exciting! n_tt2.gif If only HK can hear and see how sensationally breath taking Gillian can perform a difficult song like Lydia, Gillian can finally break away freely. n_clap.gif Gillian just needs an opportunity, a performance between life and death; I have no doubt that Gillian will unleash her potential beautifully when pushed to an extreme like Lydia. yeah.gif

I'm definitely sure that Gillian's solo will be somewhat fast-paced because I looked at some past products that this composer has produced for Twins before, and they were all more upbeat. 一半女生 (Half a Girl) was a song that 呂紹淳 composed before, and it wasn't bad. 香濃 (Fragrance) was a song that he editted. Perhaps 'Transformation Party' was just a random goof up of his. Hopefully Gillian's solo was composed as a vibrating and powerful song, then she can bring up more challenges upon herself and make improvements! yeah.gif

Hm, Sa could have that Starlight Amusement Park guy featured into her music video while Gillian can cry, kick, scream, and breakup with that No Tears In Moscow guy lol. loool.gif Gillian absolutely had no personal scenes with that No Tears In Moscow guy last time; hopefully, this time around, their breakup and flash back scenes of their relationship can make up for that loss lol. Hm, talking about Twins' Mandarin music videos from last year in comparison to the ones now, are all of the Mandarin music videos produced by the same crew now and then? I really liked how No Tears In Moscow was produced. I loved the closeup shots of Gillian. They simply made Gillian look so beautifully depressed and heartbroken with the dull colors, vacant setting, and the camera angles on Gillian were perfect. But wait, Gillian has curly hair now huh? Bummer! Gillian looked fantastic with straight hair blowing along with the wind in No Tears In Moscow. If the music videos are produced in a similar fashion then I guess, the music videos are something to anticipate about.

But then Gillian's solo isn't really all that heartbreaking, so I suppose we can't compare it with 'No Tears In Moscow' or hope that it'll be filmed like that. But the MV crew did do a really good job of capturing Gillian's beauty in its depressing state. For the 'No Tears In Moscow' MV, I somehow doubt that Twins have even personally met the guy. Neither of them had any scenes with him; it was just show some Charlene, show the guy, then Gillian, and then back to the guy, etc. I'm just longing for Gillian's straight hair back; I rewatched the MV again, and everything about Gillian's hair looked so nice! The wind was blowing in it so softly, and it even looked nice clipped up because it was clipped up with straight hair. I think Gillian's curly is probably going to be staying until the Mandarin promotion is over. dry.gif If we're lucky, then her straight hair will be back for the Cantonese album AND the upcoming film.
QUOTE(asillysaint @ May 24 2006 9 25 PM)

Hm, does the guy really love Gillian's character though? I mean, why does he have to fake a smile if he's with the one he loves which is Gillian who is with him under the umbrella? Anyways, the song does balance out the parts between Twins quite equally; hopefully, the music video will follow the same format as well. Both characters are experiencing pain. It's like, if Sa confesses her love to him, she'll betray Gillian who is her friend and will also trigger some hidden feelings he has towards her too. Gillian can sense that Sa loves him just as much as she does and feels like she'll be much happier ending this love triangle as Sa wouldn't be so distant from her and on the same token, he loves Gillian yet is wondering about the possibilities with Sa. The guy is a jerk, I say lol. loool.gif The guy has his heart with Gillian, his mind on Sa, and eyes on other women! n_thumbdown.gif No wonder why he ended up with no one lol.

Maybe it's because the guy is aware of Charlene's feelings as well, and that's why his smile was forced? Or maybe he is a two-timer at least at heart as you've stated. dry.gif But sometimes MVs plots don't entirely correspond to the song, so even if the lyrics set up a plot, the MV might not follow it. I think Gillian may have some depressing scenes in the MV of 'I Really Want To Love Him' because I saw the passport that's a gift with the album that someone scanned, and there were a few pages that had several photos of the MVs, one of the photos showed Gillian leaning down with her head on the table like she's thinking of something. Then there's another photo of Charlene with a mild look while holding an umbrella. There's also a photo with Twins together; it may be behind the scene because they were looking directly at the camera. I wish they had more photos of that MV; they had four photos for 'Transformation Party' and five for 'Around the World with 80 Dollars'. dry.gif The page of lyrics for 'I Really Want To Love Him' was very weird; for some reason, they wrote down that Gillian sang only two lines of the song. blink.gif They only clearly stated who sang what in the beginning and climax verse; for the chorus and middle verse, they only wrote (Sa) next to the verses, so it looks like Charlene all of the verses. It's like they forgot about printing (G) next to the verse or missed it because that's obviously not what was sang during the live performance. Funny thing was they didn't even do the (Sa)/(G) thing on any of the other songs. Anyway, even Twins said that one of their personal favourite from the album is 'I Really Want To Love Him', so it's probably one of the better ones on the CD.

QUOTE(asillysaint @ May 24 2006 9 25 PM)

From the interview, Eric does seem to be quite close to Gillian. Well, it seems like everyone who speaks about Gillian always have something nice to say about her. innocent.gif

Everyone does usually have something good to say about Gillian; the only time I can think of someone saying something negative about Gillian is what Eason said on 'The Weakest Link'. He was saying that he knows that he wasn't actually the weakest link during that round but Gillian was. But Eason's simply blunt for everything, and he wasn't lying. Gillian did do pretty bad during that round; I think she either passed all the questions or got them wrong, but Gillian came around to showing Eason what's she's made of when she became the strongest link during the following round. 1.gif

I agree; Gillian hasn't been very sure of her abilities because all she's been singing are the basic standard notes for five whole years. She's also been pressing her voice down as well through the previous years. The solo performances are what unleashed her abilities to herself because she doesn't have to worry about anyone else but herself on-stage, and she doesn't have as many boundaries for herself during solo performances. She was able to explore herself and see what she can grasp and improve on with the song. 'Hover Bird' is a great example; her recent live solo version caught me on much more than the duet CD version. I'm sure that the solo performances have helped her build up more and more confidence of performing, so it's starting to rub off on her Twins performances as well. I'd say Gillian needs a more challenging song to step farther into her singing career. It won't even matter if she screws up here and there when she does it because that's how one improves. She needs more chances to learn new techniques, and it's usually solo performances that help her do it because she can clearly see what her flaws are during those performances. Hopefully her solo is something more challenging than her previous songs. I really hope that someone from Taiwan will share the pre-ordered version of the album, so we can find out what the songs are like.

Anyways, I am ready to order things from Yesasia. I know, I've been mentioning this for almost a month or so now but haven't had the money and time to place an order up until now so any suggestions? I want to purchase all DVDs to add into my collection so no music albums at the moment. But with an exception, about the Twins album, should I pre-order or should I wait for a second version with music videos? I need to at least order five things and the only thing I have so far on my list since I lost my old list is:

1. 49 Days
2.
3.
4.
5.

Help me fill in my list lol. Thanks guys. Only movies for now.

Hm, it's so hard to think of worthwhile films to buy nowadays, but I'll try to give you some suggestions that I thought were good films:

1. 49 Days
I think you've heard enough from me of why you should buy this? laugh.gif

2. Perhaps Love (Takeshi Kaneshiro, Zhou Xun, Jacky Cheung)
This film was beautifully filmed, and the three scenarios were nicely tied in together. I loved how the past, the present, and the film with the film all linked up to what is actually happening through the actual film. The set up of the beginning and ending was quite interesting as well. I found Jacky Cheung's character quite interesting because of the transitions placed on his character of the director; he looked so arrogant and explosive as a person in the beginning, but he ended up transforming into someone who understands what's going on around him and knows when to let go of things. He ended up being a much happier person in the end.

3. Divergence (Aaron Kwok, Ekin Cheng, Daniel Wu)
The cast in this film didn't exactly have totally superb performances in my opinion, but I thought the plot was very well-written. It was more or less like a typical police story, but the script was written good enough for one to be hooked for the whole film. I didn't find that any of the cast stood out by oneself; it was more like the whole team made the film pull through, and the storyline was what had the greatest credit.

4. Final Romance (Edison Chen, Amanda Strang, Sam Lee, Cindy Au)
This film doesn't really have anything too unique or special in it. I wouldn't say that either Edison and Amanda did really good jobs with their performances though. It really is just a simple love story, but I really liked it for some reason. There were funny parts contributed by Sam and Cindy, touching parts, and romantic parts. I liked the message that it gives in the end: What comes around goes around. It's not an expensive film on yesasia.com, and it is something that one can have a chance of enjoying, so buying it wouldn't be a bad choice.

5. The Eye 2 (Shu Qi)
This is an older film, but I'd say this is one of the best HK produced horror films there are. There were several twists and turns in the film which made it very interesting. Shu Qi gave a great performance all the way through; the story basically revolved around her throughout as well. There were emotional parts to this as well. This film just keeps you pondering and guessing throughout of what's going to happen. It just gives you a few spooks here and there, but I find the whole mystery more interesting. It's just like there's another side of everything shown in the film.

~
Most of these are a bit older films, so you may have them already. Hope I gave you some helpful suggestions. hug.gif

Well, let's just say that even when Gillian was nominated as Best Actress, things still haven't changed much for Gillian. All that recognition and box office success gained Gillian a spot as a guest star in Bug Me Not and 6 AM?? You have got be kidding me lol! That's why even though the character Ching in Beyond Our Ken was a breakthrough role whether some people choose to believe it or not, the audience quickly forgot about Gillian's interesting portrayal as she returned to silly pop-idol films produced by no other than EMG! rolleyes.gif Breakthrough roles are termed 'breakthrough' for a reason. Once Gillian successfully convinced the audience with her breakthrough role, she shouldn't have gone back to square one as cameos for such nonsense films, that just discredits her previous achievements. It's a breakthrough role because the next films that involve Gillian should be of Beyond Our Ken quality and onwards, not the reverse. How many films has Gillian released that were up to par to Beyond Our Ken? So far, only one, 49 Days. And that was one out of four films she participated in after the breakthrough of Beyond Our Ken. Gillian wasted all that time just be featured as a small guest star? Hm, quite disappointing and upsetting. dry.gif And you wonder why people here and there still keep claiming that BOK wasn't a breakthrough role. Well, if it wasn't, then Gillian wouldn't have been nominated as Best Actress among all of those actresses that were quite superior in the acting industry at an award ceremony that really measured merit and NOT popularity. harhar.gif And was Gillian ready or thought that she was ready to even be enlisted that night? No. Her portrayal was much more than words why her name landed on the nomination list. Gillian needs to take her acting abilities to the next level and prove to those who have doubted her that hey, it wasn't through chance that Gillian was nominated or that her portrayal as Ching in BOK was a mirror of herself BUT because Gillian is an actress, a great actress. Opportunities. That is what Gillian lacks, not potential/talent. whistle.gif

I have no intentions of enjoying Twins' new film. Just EMG is enough to chase me away. This makes me mad. n_thumbdown.gif

Funny thing was they didn't even do the (Sa)/(G) thing on any of the other songs. Anyway, even Twins said that one of their personal favourite from the album is 'I Really Want To Love Him', so it's probably one of the better ones on the CD.

Was that the official lyrics page? If it was then, wonder how that happened? blink.gif It's unlikely for such huge bloopers to result. dry.gif Hm, fans better complain about the inaccuracy of it. I wonder how Gillian feels to see that? down.gif

Was Gillian's hair curly? Eh. I think I already know the answer just wanted to hear the answer again lol. I know, I'm weird. wacko.gif

1.gif

I don't blame Eason. Gillian wasn't the strongest link of the group but just because someone is the weakest link in that game doesn't mean they're any less intelligent. It really depends on which question you had to cough out an answer to. I mean, not everyone has the same expertise. If anyone is still curious towards the EG relationship or the chemistry they shared, watch The Weakest Link. Edison was protecting Gillian like crazy even though like Eason had stated, Gillian was the weakest link that round lol. And Edison voted Sa out instead of Gillian whahaha! loool.gif harhar.gif But sadly, like always, Gillian chose friendship instead of love just like a typical Twins music video and voted Edison out. down.gif loool.gif

I'm anticipating for more Gillian solo live performances as well. Gillian is for once, slowly transforming into a real singer. Gillian does need to practice more and explore freely in order to advance to the next level. Hm, I'm so excited about the album as well! Isn't it already the 26th over there in Taiwan?

Thanks for the movie review and suggestions. I already have the majority of them except for Divergence and The Eye 2 and for sure 49 Days is on my list. Hm, I decided to pass My Kung-Fu Sweetheart with Cecilia and Leo over but should I purchase Isabella and Marriage With A Fool (?) with Alex and Stephy? Hm, perhaps I'll just purchase some older films of Stephen Chow since I'm a fan of his. Perhaps. Perhaps. wacko.gif

I do think mistakes are important so they can improve from their mistakes but the audiences are really harsh. Especially since Gillian had been labeled as pretty much a bad singer since Twins debut and even till now, a lot people don't believe Gillian or both Twins had the ability to sing but just improvements. If Gillian were to sing something like "Lydia" and failed, I could just imagine what these people might come up with to judge her performance. wacko.gif I would still love to hear such a song sing by Gillian in the near future though...lolx... blush.gif

Hey, Bluehearts, I stole one of your pretty avatars of Gillian; hope you don't mind and hopefully, no one else is using it lol! I love your artwork<3!!

Here's the CD version of Transformation Party. I feel like I'm at a circus or some sort of polka gathering lol.

Here's the CD version of Vincy Chen's- Emotions/Feelings. I came across your site and it was playing the song but I wasn't sure if that was the CD version because the quality sounded a bit fuzzy like the clearer radio version so I guess I'll just post the link here incase you need it. hug.gif Oh, Vincy is actually older than Sa. blink.gif

I'm not sure if the song I have of Vincy's is a radio verison or not...but thanks for the CD verison!! I saw the MV of the song. It seems pretty nice but I'm not sure what the plot is. Vincy doesn't look really pretty but not ugly too but she have an amazing voice!

Exactly, when one gets recognition in a film, the key thing is to keep going of presenting the crowd with more memorable roles and not go back to anything ridiculous. Of course EMG wasn't capable of producing anything not ridiculous, and EEG wasn't capable of, or didn't want to, get more acting opportunities for Gillian. I'd say Gillian's acting career would be at a totally higher level if she presented herself with two or three more decent leading roles after 'Beyond Our Ken' came out instead of wondering around with two EMG cameo roles. We just see half the recognitions of how Gillian's acting has tremendously improved being turned back over to complaints of it being terribly bad. The role in 6 AM was absolutely stupid; they just needed Twins there for about five minutes so that they can enlarge their photos on the poster and advertise the film using the name of Twins.dry.gif Bug Me Not! wasn't totally worthless; at least Gillian showed that she can outshine everyone in the film using her limited 10 minutes of screentime. innocent.gif Of course EEG/EMG then used that as an advantage to use Gillian's name to promote Bug Me Not!; you can just see that wihtin that jam-packed area of the functions of Bug Me Not! in Mainland areas and in HK that more than three quarters of the fans were Gillian's. Come on, you don't write that two actresses are leading a film when one receives 87 minutes of the screentime while the other has 10 minutes. dry.gif Gillian is an actress who needs more opportunities in her acting career; she didn't even expect for herself to be nominated, but she did. She was nominated for an award ceremony that actually proved something of acting abilities instead of political influences. Gillian has come a long way by depending on herself and pulling through with the 'predicted fails' of EEG. It was way out of EEG's favour and predictions that 'Beyond Our Ken' and '49 Days' came out with recognition and success. Both of these films, though with a strong script, had a weak cast. No one on the cast list is truly recognized as a supreme actor/actress in the acting industry, so it was twice as hard for them to be striving for good results. 'Beyond Our Ken' landed Gillian a nomination, but there are still people claiming that it proves nothing of Gillian's actin when it absolutely does. If nominations don't count, are they telling me that, along with Gillian, Josie, Cecilia, and Sylvia all can't act because they only got nominated instead of actually getting the award? Renee, the winner that year, has said that she believes receiving and being nominated for Gam Zhi Ging is a much higher recognition than things like Golden Horse which are politically influenced. '49 Days' was the first film that Sundream Motion Pictures had ever produced; whatever happens to this film has great impact on what happens for the production company afterwards, and did Gillian let them down at all? No, they used her as the main promotion, and she pulled in a great boxoffice during the a quiet season.

The only factor that's giving me hope in the upcoming film of Twins is that Sundream Motion Pictures is part of the production crew. The plots do turn out decent when EMG collaborates with other production companies like House of Fury and New Police Story.

Game shows are so 50/50 for winning; 50 for luck and 50 for knowledge. You can have the best knowledge on something in the world, but if that question doesn't land on you, then tough luck. I feel so dumb when watching 'The Weakest Link' sometimes; I like those game shows that have multiple choice questions, then I can have some chance of guessing something right. innocent.gif Back then during those times, EG was really cute, and Edison appeared to be really sweet of protecting Gillian, but too bad it's a whole different story nowadays. I guess it would've been so obvious if Gillian voted Charlene off, and I don't think she was even allowed to do that since it would break the bond of Twins that appeared to audience.

It is the 26th already in Taiwan, but the sharing usually happens the next day which is our 26th because they really don't share right away. I feel so contradictory right now; I want tomorrow to come because of the album, and I want to know how the solos sounds, yet I don't want tomorrow to come because I don't really want to be disappointed by the solos. *touchwood*

[Perhaps they filmed it at the same time, one after another. Gillian's hair has just been so much the same lately. It isn't that bad if Gillian's character was more happy this time; maybe this way we can get out of the stereotyping of how Charlene = happy and Gillian = sad, but it's just that the song illustrates that both girls have their own chains of somber thoughts about the relationships.

Gillian is beautiful and has matured into a great actress. If the HK industry wishes to survive further locally and internationally without extending a hand to Korean stars or Mainland stars to help save the day, they need to spice things up a bit by calling upon their own resources which are right within their grasp, Gillian. The only female that I can truly consider as an actress of this generation is Cecilia. Cecilia has both the beauty and talent in acting that has measured up to those of an older, more experienced generation. I believe that Gillian has similar characteristics, beauty and talent as well but unfortunately, Gillian lacks the beefy roles that have gained Cecilia quite an established name. Gillian has revealed that she is willing to explore beyond her current restrictions and status of an actress so the only thing that is the main barrier is EEG. Gillian suits those silent psychological thrillers or emotionally painful roles. Gillian has only portrayed one and she already gained a nomination as Best Actress in one of the most important awards. Can you imagine if Gillian further challenged her acting potential after BOK? It's been two whole years since BOK, if Gillian was granted those opportunities, she would have won Best Actress already. whistle.gif I know, it seems as though I'm always complaining but it's true. Gillian is a clear example that beauty may introduce one to the audience but won't get one too far if the opportunities are always slipping away or never accessed. innocent.gif

It's quite sad how everyone uses Gillian to promote this and that, this person and that person BUT ironically, no one has ever thought of promoting Gillian just for Gillian. down.gif It's like Twins this, Twins that but rarely can we ever enjoy the short-lived scenes of Gillian. Oh Gillian is in this film but she's no more than a 10 minute character who is present to promote the film and cast yet ruining her own image of an actress, everything she has worked diligently for. down.gif

I think it's just obvious and makes most sense that Gillian is still in demand in the acting industry. I agree. Not only were Gillian's movies released during a silent season for films, a weak cast that were depending on Gillian for promotions and exposure, and so little promotions, they were still most acknowledged, especially Gillian. That already says more than enough. The HK industry has been recycling their actors over and over; they really need something new and fresh. Since Gillian hasn't shared an onscreen kiss yet; hopefully, Gillian will be granted that special kiss soon in an ultimately great film both quality wise and box office. For those who claim that Gillian is overrated. blink.gif Um, how so? Twins is overexposed but not Gillian. How can Gillian be overrated for something she hasn't really fully participated in? If anything, Gillian is way underrated and underpromoted as well! whistle.gif

I'm quite anxious as well. I hope that we won't be disappointed with Gillian's solo. *prays*

Well, I've already seen Marriage With A Fool and enjoyed Alex and Stephy's natural chemistry but yes, the plot was quite predictable and um, cheesy lol. I already own both Pandora's Box and Cinderella which are part of my classic collections. I can't believe it. When I purchased them from Yesasia, they were running about $20 a piece but now, they're cheaply $5.99 for the Chinese version and $7.99 for the DTS English subbed version. blink.gif Why the price reduction? They're such classics. The price does not justify the quality at all. I understand that they're old films but I just found that sad. down.gif Hm, that's probably one of the reasons why I hated A Chinese Tall Story. A monk isn't supposed to be in love or even touch women for that matter especially someone as holy as Sun Wukong's master; that's just so wrong and immoral lol. n_thumbdown.gif Don't even associate that film with the originals because Stephen Chow probably only watched a few short clips and automatically went into convulsions for butchering such a masterpiece lol.

Well, even though it was Gillian's first time performing solo, she still managed to perform live quite well and didn't mess up to the point of no return lol. I have faith that Gillian can do the same with any song she naturally connects with, not some pop idol song EEG chose for her though.

Yeah, Vincy does appear younger than Sa too. Well, Vincy is only one month older than Sa that's why lol but, Vincy still resembles a teenager. Vincy was born on October 16, 1982 whereas Sa's birthday is November 20, 1982 but of course, Sa is cuter but Vincy is I guess, more natural in singing than both Twins.

Anyways I ended up purchasing this list:
1. 49 Days (For Gillian)
2. My Kungfu Sweetheart (Yes, I know lol. For Cecilia.)
3. Lee Hom's Unbelievable Music Video Collection
4. A Tale of Two Sisters (Rented it from Blockbuster and totally fell in love with it. Gillian needs a juicy role like this one. This is one of the most beautiful films I've watched so far. It's quite an old film but I'm just recently getting to all of the good Korean films since HK hasn't been exactly entertaining my interest.)
5. Moon Child (Watched this film a while back and also loved the friendship/brotherhood/love triangle in this film. It was also beautifully produced plus it features Hyde and Lee Hom under one screen<3!)

Anyways, just checked out the Vincy Thread and she has a new song.
泳兒 - 你我她

CREDITS: wankhy

I guess I'm doing a bit of online promotions for her since I like Vincy but hm, Vincy sounds so much like Isabella in this song, it's not even funny lol. loool.gif This song is quite nice besides that.

Sure. rolleyes.gif This Gillian thread can never rid itself from useless random comments huh? This person will probably disappear after this post whahahah! Thanks for contributing a post though. I like Gillian more, that's why I'm stating my opinions here so perhaps you can run along to the Sa thread now lol. loool.gif

I guess I'll wait to sample some songs first before purchasing Twins' Around the World with 80 Dollars. OR I'll just wait for the second/third version; that way I don't get chipped and it also includes other extras too.

asillysaint: sorry i didn't respond faster about which movies you should have ordered from yesasia. i would have recommended the following:

Fly Me to Polaris- Cecilia Cheung and Richie Yen: If you need a cry, this is the movie for you. It was really a great movie with Cecilia at her best (unlike My Kungfu Sweetheart smilie.GIF even Shopaholics was better than My Kungfu Sweetheart)

Crazy N' the City- Francis Ng, Joey Yung, Eason Chan: Joey can't exactly act that well but this movie had a great police storyline and was one of the few great movies of 2005.

Enter the Phoenix- If you liked House of Fury, then Stephen Fung's first self-directed/written film is just as good with the likes of Daniel Wu, Karen Mok, and Easan Chan with a funny story about being accidentally put in charge of a gang.

Home Sweet Home- Shu Qi, Karena Lam: not exactly a horror film, this is the movie where Karena acted as a disfigured "monster". Although it had a sort of pessimistic view, i thought that the movie was really well acted out with a good ending.

again, sorry blush.gif . maybe next time when you order, you'll consider these movies. hug.gif

does anyone have the link to The Weakest Link show with Gillian and Edison? if you do, can you post it? thanks

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I already have Fly Me To Polaris ever since its first release. I love that film but ironically, I didn't shed as much tears as other people. blink.gif I've already seen Enter the Phoenix and I enjoyed it but hm, perhaps that will be part of my list next time. And I haven't seen Crazy N' the City nor Home Sweet Home. You totally reminded me that I am a Karena Lam Fan lol. Darn. Sadly, while I was searching for interesting movies, Karena's name never popped up! duh.gif I love Karena. Oh yeah, besides Cecilia, I think Karena is one of the best actresses HK has to offer to the world that is both pretty and talented. Karena can be so cute but so deadly. loool.gif

If anything, Gillian is way underrated and underpromoted as well! whistle.gif

As much as I'd love for Gillian to continue singing and sing solo more often, I still feel that Gillian can achieve way more than what she has at the moment. Who would've thought that her own management company would be the major and only factor that's holding her back? I, for one, am sick and tired of hearing those comments of how Gillian can't act or the Twin who is worse in acting. If you're talking to me about Gillian's very early projects such as 'Colour of the Truth', then I would agree to you that Gillian's acting wasn't very decent in those dramas, but if you're asking me about her current acting, I'd be supporting her. In her earlier projects such as the one stated above, it was very obvious that Gillian looked lost and unnatural while acting. In 'Colour of the Truth' and 'Monkey King', it can be seen that Gillian had very frequent actions such as biting her lips and twitching her eyebrows during her scenes, but all those little movements have disappeared in all her recent projects. Gillian has definitely matured her acting for it to look natural. It is seriously hats off to her that she is able to make it this far even with all the restrictions that she had to hold on to and all those wonderful opportunities that were pushed away by EEG. I am especially angered when I see people claiming that Gillian is the one who doesn't want to cross the boundaries on-screen of kissing her co-stars; don't these people read the news and see what Gillian expresses? Just think of what stage Gillian's acting career would be at if she tugged onto some more meaty and significant roles and brushing off the restrictions after BOK. '

Was there even ever a time of promoting Gillian as Gillian? Most of the time, Gillian is just used to promote someone else or something else. Doesn't Gillian have better things to do with her time? Oh yes, I forgot that it's EEG who plans her schedule, and they only wish for her to be promoting the others that they want to promote, but focus none on her. Her role in Bug Me Not! wasn't too bad; though it was complained as a rubbish film, Gillian stood out of that category with her role and performance. In all the official HK critiques written about Bug Me Not!, Gillian had only been complimented through them all of her complete outshine with a tiny role, even when the critique was written negatively about the film in general. There may just be a slight negative effect on Gillian since she did take part in it though, but I think it was more good than bad.

I don't buy that after three achievements of Gillian's: BOK, HOF, and 49 Days that there aren't any producers/directors requesting for Gillian to take part in a film. Those three films portrayed three different Gillian's; shouldn't at least one fit for a role? If not, those films should give more than enough evidence that Gillian has the potential to challenge herself to a whole different role. Will we ever even see the day of Gillian's 'special kiss'? What's the whole deal of that anyway? A stupid excuse made up by none other than EEG to limit Gillian? Gillian can't be overrated; she's not promoted enough and exposed enough to be. Whenever Twins are exposed, it's actually Charlene who's being exposed because Gillian is simply there for no other reason but to fulfill the title of Twins. I don't care if there are some 'visitors' in this thread who claim we complain too much because at least we give reasons for our complaints. Is there anyone who would like to tell us how we're wrong about all this? Can someone really tell us that Gillian has been given lots of opportunities of significant, challenging, leading roles? Seriously, if Gillian had been given multiple chances of those opportunities, and she wasn't able to grasp them with her own ability, then what right do we have to complain? Our rants here are just to express that we don't want Gillian to forfeit before she's actually been given the opportunity to put on a good strive for herself. We aren't asking much; we just want Gillian to have some full support from her manager and company for her future career. In fact, that is what they are supposed to do; in any other normal situation, we shouldn't even have to be here ranting on about how biased EEG is. They're supposed to give close to equal support to each of their artistes. Can't they just find two or three good opportunitites for Gillian in the acting area before she takes an exit to focus on singing? If they do decide to promote her in singing.

'Pandora's Box' and 'Cinderella' were definitely one of the classics; they're older films, but it doesn't decrease on any of the quality. Yesasia is just like that; as a film gets older with the years, the price decreases. It's either that, or the film was so bad that no one buys it, therefore the price reduction. 'A Chinese Tall Story' shouldn't even be spoken of as a sequel to the two previous ones. It's far from being up to par. I bet the fans of the previous two who actually went to see the film in the theatres were disappointed to the extremes. It's a wonder if Stephen Chow even laid eyes on this sequel. Not only are those classics for viewers, but they were meaningful to Stephen Chow as well; it was after filming those two films that he developed his own comedic style.

Perhaps you'd want to consider 'Crazy N' the City'. It's good for a few laughs, and Twins can be considered of being in the film. I totally had the feeling that Twins might pop up somewhere in the film when I read the blurb on the cover of a caption of Francis saying: I'm missing a pair of Twin girls........ and Joey is in the film. And I was right! According to Francis, who is a lunatic in the film, Gillian and Charlene are his twin daughters, and he carries a photo of them in his wallet. The photo was captured on camera for a few seconds. lmao.gif

©I Really Want To Love Him©
The big test of friendship between a pair of best friends --- Loving the same 'him'
Composed by JJ Lin, written by Ho Kai Wang; speaking of the interesting teenage girl's thoughts

A pair of best friends have fallen in love with the same guy! This kind of situation is one that all girls are afraid to run into. Knowing that her best friend is being heartbroken because of the guy she loves, and even though she really wants to love him, how should she choose between the deep friendship and the blooming love? This song is illustrating this kind of mood of when two dead ends are appearing ahead.

As for the song's MV, it's directed by Wong Jung Ping. Charlene Choi's character is a girl who lost her dog, and she met a guy who found her dog for her, yet the guy is in love with her best friend, Gillian Chung. The two girls are both in love with the same guy. In the MV, Charlene portrays many sad and depressing scenes because of being heartbroken, so she gains a lot of sympathy. As for Gillian, after she finds out about her best friend's pains, she ends her relationship with the guy while enduring the pain because friendship is more precious towards her than a love relationship that just began.

Thanks for the translations.

The song seems to gear at Gillian's character, while the MV gears at Charlene's character, odd.

I just check YesAsia, and the Taiwan version of their new album is also released on June 2 like the pre-order edition, which means we have to wait another week to listen to the solo.

My friend told me that Vincy was actually a contestant of Project Superstar, a singing competition in Singapore, but then was voted off by the tv viewers. I was so surprised! She's so thin! I remembered the judges commenting on her figure. I thought she sings real well though.

If I Really Want To Love Him's mv is like that, then Charlene's a third party in this story. Anyway, Charlene only met the guy who found her dog, she should not feel so much pain right? Afterall they should only have met for a few days at best?? I hope Gillian gets the guy. It's only right, there is mutual love.

I wish we can hear their songs already down.gif I'm so curious of the genre for Gillian's song!

Well, like tuyen said, the song might seem like it's illustrating Gillian's character but the MV doesn't seem much like it... innocent.gif What about "many scenes" for Gillian? Where's that line... dry.gif When I read the director, I almost misread it and thought it was Wong Jing! Will the MV for this song be coming out when they have the 2nd verison then? down.gif I hope not.

Thanks for sharing the video verison!! yeah.gif

Edit: I just watch this. This is actually the MV! I don't think it's the full verison though....Twins were so much more mature in this MV!! It was a really close-up and you can see Gillian's suprised face yet in a way, you can feel like she is smiling..I'm don't know how to put it but aww...I would have loved to see the guy's face when he wiped her face too, maybe even a second. When Charlene was pouring milk for the guy and Gillian wanted to also, I love Gillian's facial expression, so convincing when she seemed disappointed but not in a really obvious way yeah.gif

It doesn't seemed like the guy and Gillian were boyfriend and girlfriend at the beginning of the MV since they all met at the same time. The guy though, obviously liked Gillian innocent.gif They look really cute together! He was really cute too lmao.gif Gillian should have just as much sad scenes too because I'm sure she might be really heartbroken too when she knew the guy likes her as she likes him too.

Yeah, this isn't the full version because they only aired half the song. The full version is said to be out by Monday. Notice how all these MVs come out so fast but 'Conscience Discovery' took 3 months? blink.gif Anyway, I like this MV as well; the screentime is equal so far except for the beginning as you've said.

*Spoilers*
I think they met all at the same time as well; it's just that they guy likes Gillian. Gillian's expressions in this MV were very nicely portrayed; even though the article advertised it as Charlene having many depressing and sad scenes in the MV, I didn't feel that Gillian had any less. Both portrayed the heartbreaking looks in their eyes during the close-up shots of them singing the song. Gillian showed how lost her mood was like very convincingly. The scene with the guy wiping Gillian's mouth was definitely cute!! infatuated.gif Can't wait for the full version! I think the guy is a newcomer of Taiwan or something, not too sure.

~~
I think that version of 'I Really Want To Love Him' is probably capped off of the MV because it's the same amount of the song that was aired with the MV. It's more clear, so you might want to listen to it for a bit. After listening to the MV capped version, it sounds like Gillian has added a lot more emotions and climax to her singing. She sounds more 'free' as well and that she's developing more of a new style. That's how I feel when I listen to Gillian sing the chorus. I'm not sure how to fully explain it, but it sounds like she's trying out how to add a bit more force and strains during the times that she wants to portray more emotions in.

the song rocks my socks! jj rocks! lol.

Thanks for uploading! hug.gif Isn't it amusing to see that half the people on the show aren't even part of EEG anymore? rolleyes.gif

I completely agree. It seems like the directors/producers who work with Gillian see a whole new level of potential in her but the one barrier that is stalling Gillian back is EEG. n_thumbdown.gif I don't think directors/producers are as biased when choosing their leads especially Gillian because 1. The results of the film will directly impact the directors' future projects so they have to choose wisely. 2. The director and his crew are the ones responsible for Gillian's high wage for participation so if they're more than willing to invest by inviting a star like Gillian to feature in their film, they must really have confidence that Gillian alone can promote and expose the weak cast. 3. Directors actually know and comprehend art, they have passion in creating a true story onscreen not just some pop-idol sensation to crank up box offices. I'm referring to those directors that have invited Gillian to play as a lead, not cameo. Cameos are sort of a waste of time now because people want to see more of Gillian, not less in some dumb role and corny film. Have you noticed that the films Gillian actually gained recognition for are the ones she portrayed as a lead? Gillian does best as a lead, not cameo but EEG keeps insisting placing Gillian into those small roles to promote others. n_thumbdown.gif I especially find it quite irrelevant when people say that Gillian's beauty just balances out Sa's granted opportunities. dry.gif I understand that beauty does play a role in the ET industry but not completely; if so, wouldn't the stars we see be all good looking? But apparently, I still see some very average celebrities at the top of the Stars chain. Potential has never been the issue, moreso on the lack of opportunities from her own management. I do find it quite depressing and upsetting that it's Gillian's own management that is against her. down.gif Hopefully, Gillian will produce a few more interesting and memorable films before she concentrates on something else like singing because it'll be long before we do see her again onscreen. down.gif I don't see fans complaining about Sa because honestly, there is nothing to complain about. And I find it silly how some fans complain that it's unfair that Sa doesn't share duets with Kenny. blink.gif If they just measure the voices, they'll understand. Sa's voice suits those like Nic and even Alex Fong's but not Kenny's. blush.gif If EEG only treated both Twins fairly, we wouldn't be here complaining. That's all I have to say about this issue.

While re-watching this show again, I noticed that Gillian and Edison sat next to each other on the sofa in the beginning of the game in the lobby room. Whaha, how cute. infatuated.gif

I don't believe it, but the song, 'I Really Want To Love Him', is actually illustrating Gillian's character. blink.gif
~

Thanks for the news. It's nice to read that Gillian's character illustrates the song.

Edit: I just watch this. This is actually the MV! I don't think it's the full verison though....Twins were so much more mature in this MV!! Well, the screentime for both of them were pretty decent and equal so far except for when the song began clapping.gif but I'm pretty satisfy with it with what I've seen blush.gif I hope I won't be disappointed with the rest of the MV. whistle.gif

*spoiler for those who may not watch it yet*
Gillian looked so cute when she was leaning on the table with the guy!! infatuated.gif The picture that Little_Purple_Bell gave us a link to was when she was with the guy so that's why she seemed happy! clapping.gif I love the scene when the guy was wiping her mouth for her!!

Yeah. I loved those close up shots of Gillian. Gillian's best features which are her alluring eyes are so captivating and enchanting, no wonder why the guy fell for Gillian lol. loool.gif That was extremely cute how he wiped her face and was the one who reached for her hand. Gillian's acting in this music video is just overall so touching and wonderful. I love these Mandarin music videos, so highly invested. I love their wardrobe, well not Gillian's hairstyle because it's still the same old curls but nonetheless, Gillian is just amazingly beautiful, she can take anyone's breath away.

The screen time is about the same except for the beginning but hopefully like you said, we won't be left disappointed since this is just the first half of the song, the music video can still sway any way. I don't know but it seems like the Mandarin crew somehow loves to do closeup shots of Gillian alone huh? Gosh, Gillian is just too convincing with her heart aching facial expressions. down.gif

If anything, Gillian looks really mixed in this music video; perhaps due to the lighting but wow, Gillian is beyond gorgeous, even I am falling in love with Gillian's beauty and such sorrowful portrayal. The guy actually looks better now than in the Starlight Amusement Park music video. I prefer him with longer hair like this but um, it keeps covering half of his face lol. loool.gif Seems like the Mandarin crew is a bit more fair in distributing the screen time and displayment of scenes. No Tears In Moscow was a great example and this music video seems to follow the same pattern. Both are sad ballads; perhaps producers/directors prefer capturing Gillian's mature and mysterious appeal in ballads in comparison to faster songs. I'm so glad that at least Gillian has her own scenes to elaborate upon and breath in.

Yeap. I agree. Gillian's voice in this song seems so mature and so well developed, different from all the rest of the songs she has sang before. Sa still sounds the same to me though. blink.gif But Gillian, she definitely has adopted a new technique in expressing her emotions solely through the words and melody that flows so smoothly and powerfully. I love it how Gillian emphasizes strength and volume on certain words and portions of the verses and then falls back down gently as the song progresses into a softer tone. Gillian's voice is wonderfully heart jerking. I can't wait until I hear Gillian sing the song live again but with better and clearer audio captions. Gillian does sing the best during the chorus because it requires the most strength and Gillian beautifully hits every note perfectly and strongly yet sadly, conveying the essence of the song. I have also noticed that with every ending note, Gillian stretches it more than usual with a sign of beginning vibratos. I'm so proud of Gillian. yeah.gif Gillian has definitely surpassed the improvement stage into something more sensational, a real singer.

True. I sympathize for both characters but moreso for Gillian. If Sa knew that he loved Gillian and Gillian also loved him too, Sa shouldn't play as the third wheel or be the cause of the breakup. But hey, this is just a music video right? Both Twins have done a great job portraying each of their parts. Sa looks extremely pretty too but it would totally make Sa appear better if she left the love triangle instead because breaking up two love birds is um, sad. Gillian is stuck in the middle between someone she loves and her best friend. It's so heartbreaking watching Gillian! Wonder if Gillian will further torture us with her convincing sorrow as she drops a few tears later in the music video? Hopefully, the cameras will zoom in on her face and catch her tears as they drop onto the empty ground as she bids him farewell. Better yet, he doesn't want to leave and hugs Gillian from behind as Gillian walks away. down.gif Come on now, Gillian needs more sweet scenes than just the wiping crumbs off and holding her hand on the table, more I say! infatuated.gif

Awww Gillian and that guy look so cute together! All those cute scenes! Finally she get's something cute in a MV. Hmm that guy don't look like the same guy in Starlight Amusement Park. Though only if it was the full verison. Yup seems like Charlene's the third party. But if you know your best friend likes him and he likes her why interfair? That's not a really good friend. Charlene looks really mature in that MV with the long hair. Gillian eyes are so big and cute!

Um, I believe it is the same guy from Starlight Amusement Park. In this recent music video, his facial features have also matured, his hair has grown, and plus there aren't a lot of closeup shots of his face. Hm, unless I've mistakened. blink.gif But didn't Little_Purple_Bell also mention that the same guy will star in this music video as well? unsure.gif

Anyways...

Hopefully, since Twins wish to pursue a more mature image, Gillian and the No Tears In Moscow guy can have more intimate and sweet scenes in her music video if there is any in the future.

I noticed that too. Gillian's voice was entering a vibrato phase with almost every ending note of each line she sang. These are all of the ending notes that I heard some type of vibrato in Gillian's voice as she stretched it.

First verse:
可是: Ke shi
看見: Kan jian
?的: Qan (?) de

Chorus:
愛他: Ai ta
吵架: Chao jia
圍嗎: Wei ma
回答: Hui da

Second Verse:
不得: Bu de
下去: Xia qu (My favorite part; Gillian seems to visibly stretch out her vocals in vibratos at this part.)
害者: Hai zhe

Um, I don't think anyone has posted up the lyrics for this song yet so can someone post up the lyrics? I had to go off on what I heard so I'm not even sure if these are accurate lol. The music video was of no help since the subtitles were blocking the characters and the characters were so small, all smudged up, I couldn't read them anyways lol.

EDIT: I have to say, Gillian's pronunication is quite on the dot. I basically went off from Gillian's singing when I typed in these chinese characters. Gillian has most definitely improved on her Mandarin. All of those Mainland events must have really helped her well. After typing up the characters, I compared these characters to the ones posted above in the little Passport Booklet Little_Purple_Bell had provided that listed the official lyrics and these characters turned out quite accurate but I still can't find that one character with the question mark on my keyboard. dry.gif Hm, Sa's Mandarin is a bit fuzzy; perhaps her voice whereas Gillian has a pretty clear and articulate voice.

I love Gillian's voice in this song! infatuated.gif

@asillysaint: oh yay, so i'm not only one who thought she was attempting a vibrato. x] the words that you listed sounds like a poem when put together! laugh.gif now, all eeg has to do is allow gillian to practice her singing more, so she can master her vibratos. woooooooo x]]

I know. I wish Gillian and the guy filmed more sweet scenes together. Please, let there be some physical touch whahaha lol! loool.gif

Gillian's most beautiful features are her eyes. They're so deep, innocent, harmless, and just overall gorgeous, they somehow contain the world when you stare into them. blush.gif

Yeah, Gillian's vibratos are pretty visible in this song. But for some reason, I don't hear Sa's voice in vibratos? And I've been listening to this music video all morning long already.

Aw, I love your gif. Hm, I don't think I've seen that version of the music video yet. The one with the Twinsfans.net logo one. The only one I've seen is this one posted here with the Viet subtitles. Are they both the same?

I think Gillian's best attempt or visible vibrato was the last line of the first verse. I think this MV was simplified and didn't require Twins to have any difficult notes but sneaky Gillian added it in lmao.gif so that's why Charlene might not have tried singing with vibrato.

I think Charlene's voice is clearer when she sings then when she talks. Maybe she still needs to work on her mandarin skills more?

I think both of them are the same MV's. The screencaps I captured where from the youtube link.

omg.. i was thinking the same thing! *gillian starts to walk off after trying to breakup with the guy, then the guy pulls her back and hugs her! infatuated.gif the guy then strokes her cheeks and TRIES TO KISS HER! but... sadly she turned away (seeing how EEG prohibits her from any kissing scenes) and says "sorry". that's when she fully walks away.* T_T so heartwrenching... lol.

but i doubt that there would be any hugging whatsoever...

@asillysaint: oh yay, so i'm not only one who thought she was attempting a vibrato. x] the words that you listed sounds like a poem when put together! laugh.gif now, all eeg has to do is allow gillian to practice her singing more, so she can master her vibratos. woooooooo x]]

@blueheart: infatuated.gif SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!! xD hehe. i was going to make a gif. too, but i didn't like the "twinsfans.net" blocking their faces.

i think that gillian and that guy are destined to be together! lol. afterall, gillian was the FIRST to spot him. ;D only then did charlene see him. but yea, i just wanted to share that thought of mine. xD hehe. it's completely unimportant actually... o_O

I was too excited with the MV that I totally disregard the "twinsfans.net" word blocking their face and made the .gif anyways...lolx...

I hope that Gillian and the guy stay together instead of breaking up....The guy is pretty pitiful too since he can't have say in the love triangle. Gillian is more pressure though since she seemed like she had the ultimate say to the relationship.

OMG!!!!
This mv is great! Gillian is very pretty in this! She acted real well! I could see the subtle changes in her eyes when Charlene pours the milk for that cute guy! LOL!However, I think that Charlene looks really old here. I don't know, it's her tired eyes or something. She should rest more. The first scene of the guy with the dog, he looks like Alec Su. HAHA.

Haha. I know, we want more juicy scenes. I was thinking about, when it begins raining, Gillian and the guy run for shelter but the nearest thing is a telephone booth so they both have to squeeze in together, closer and closer, they stare into each other's eyes, he's about to steal a mutual kiss but Gillian shies away and Sa outside, in the cold rain with an umbrella, witnesses everything. 1.gif

Hopefully, Gillian ends up with the guy. Even though it was Sa's dog that lead way to both Twins but the irony of it is, he falls in love with Gillian instead of the dog's owner, Sa. whistle.gif Love isn't always predictable. The one who finds the dog doesn't always end up falling in love with the owner of the dog.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised that Gillian was singing vibratos but not Sa. blink.gif I seriously don't hear any vibratos on Sa's part unless I've mistakened? wacko.gif

It is quite an important notice actually. Gillian did spot the guy first. It was like, Sa found her lost companion, her dog and ironically, her love interest, the guy. Meanwhile, the guy found his companion in Gillian and Gillian vice versa. loool.gif But hm, we don't know how the relationship will change or develope into since there is still a lot left in the remainder half of the music video.

Really? Can Gillian sneak in vibratos at the recording studio? Or did someone finally permit Gillian to show a bit of her singing potential lol? sweat.gif

Hm, Sa sounds quite kiddish when speaking in both Cantonese and Mandarin but when she sings, her voice is quite deep. blink.gif It at times makes me wonder and repeat wonder (I'm not accusing) if Sa is faking that kiddish voice when she speaks during interviews because her voice is completely different when speaking and singing and um, people normally don't display two distinct voices like that or not any that I've heard of. Of course, singing and speaking are not the same so voices can differ but from very squeaky kiddish to deep? I don't know but that's a bit fishy la. Sammi, Miriam, Denise, and Kary all have deep vocals like Sa but when they speak, they aren't nearly as kiddish sounding. It's like everytime I hear Sa speak, it seems like she turns on that dubbing voice she did in Chicken Little as Ugly Duckling. loool.gif Gillian possesses a sweet voice when both speaking and singing so I don't have much inquiries about that.

Sa's voice when singing does have that scratchy affect which makes her voice a bit fuzzy.

Anyways, I do hope that Gillian will shed some sorrowful tears for us with some more intimate sweet scenes. If only I was part of the directing and production crew. sweat.gif

I agree. For some reason, Sa looks really pretty but so much older than Gillian. blink.gif

I love those subtle changes in Gillian's eyes too. Gillian communicates so well just through her eyes!

Hey Bluehearts, do you have the link to watch JSG when Vincy sings live? I really want to watch her perform live. Is she as good as on CD? Hopefully, she doesn't disappoint me. wacko.gif

Sure. rolleyes.gif This Gillian thread can never rid itself from useless random comments huh? This person will probably disappear after this post whahahah! Thanks for contributing a post though. I like Gillian more, that's why I'm stating my opinions here so perhaps you can run along to the Sa thread now lol. loool.gif

i dont think that we shoud discriminate between charlene and gillian, they started off as a team and they stayed that way for so many years, i dont think gillian will like it if you guys start saying who you like more it sounds like your trying to break them up, im just saying i like charlene more, but im not starting a seperate charlene club like here!
I'll be coming back...dont worry about that...im always happy to contribute a post to the gillian thread:D
