Oooo la la! Gillian, now this is what I call full blown SEXY! I absolutely love Gillian's two piece swimming suit. So Gillian did lose a bit of weight eh? Well, Gillian definitely looks super gorgeous and HOT! Wow, Gillian has a pair of super nice legs too! Gillian and Sa are about the same weight but Sa still looks a bit too thin; frankly, no frame at all, whereas Gillian, the picture obviously speaks for itself. Even though Gillian is about the same size as Sa now, Gillian still has the nice chest area too!

Yup that is true sexiness not like what some people call chubby! Yeah so it's not only me that thinks Gill slimmed down a bit. Her stomache is not as flat as Charlene's! Charlene gained a little weight because at the bikini thingy on Mr.Yeung boat her stomache was in and now its like Gillian which is flat. Love Gillian heels!

Well, your analyzation makes really good sense, and it makes the things filmed in the MV much more clear now. It's much better than my imagination of the delusional thing. The MV still looks a bit rushed and incomplete; I'd still say that they have deleted some scenes off of it, causing some of the confusion. I'd really rather believe that the guy isn't a jerk; he was so sweet in 'Starlight Amusement Park' and during the first part of 'I Really Want To Love Him'. As for Charlene's crying scene, we have to blame it on the crew. They did film a longer scene of her which was showed on the news, but they apparently picked a bad portion of it to actually show in the MV.

The screaming part was awkward; I seriously thought that Charlene was going to take a whack at Gillian's face as she glared at her with the hatred and betrayal. The news that showed the filming of it referred to the screaming as weird as well, and I'm guessing that Charlene did as well because they had to take a few shots of that scene because she couldn't restrain from laughing after she screams.

The narration in the end was cut off from the MV that we saw, but the news showed what Gillian and Charlene were saying after they said, 'If there is going to be a day of when Gillian/Charlene and I fall in love with the same guy, then.......'

Gillian: I will go to the Starferry Wharf to ride the ferryboat. While riding on top of the flowing sea, perhaps I will be able to see things and think of them more clearly while being a little dizzy.

Charlene: I will go on the balcony and stay in the sun for a long time. I'll play some online games, and after I win, I'll be able to chose to give up. I can be pretty okay alone.

i adored that guy regardless of how bad of a jerk his character was. lol. he's just... too cute! xD that's it! twins should fire their current director and hire you instead! your words put me at ease. but then again, i feel worse for gillian now. she had to sacrafice someone who was really her's. i guess this mv also goes to show that love can make you do some crazy things. like, charlene screaming at gillian as if she was totally aware of the fact that her friend is suffering from a lack of love from a person who loves her. (did that make sense btw? lol). and it did seem like charlene was going to get it popping! i thought she was going to SLAP gillian at first. or something along those lines, thankfully it was just a scream and a life threatening, ice cold, and bitter stare. but what i can't believe is that charlene was actually happy in the end, knowing that her best friend gave up her love because of her. o_O if it was me, i'd die of guilt, literally! lol.

oh pfttt, tell me about the screen. as if the screening time wasn't already "fair" enough. i'm pretty sure that the cutting of gillian wasn't a mistake, because they could have easily call cut, and film again...

you know what's amazing? they never actually showed how gillian really felt, but somehow we can all see it through her eyes. that is the power of miss gillian chung.

I just realized as I watched the MV the 6th time that the milk part was a mistake. It showed how Gillian and Charlene was both opening the cap right? But then Gillian finished opening hers and when the milk was poured by Charlene she was still twisting her bottle. That was dumb.

Yeah, Sau Sun Tong seems to have a favour towards Gillian; it may be because she has been their spokesperson for a longer time than Charlene. I was reading a magazine yesterday, and with the Sau Sun Tong ad that was in it, they actually only printed Gillian's photo on there when Twins have signed to be the spokespeople.

yea, they usually only place gillian's pictures on their advertisements. also, they have a huge display of gillian's picture in their beauty salons. it's gillian and this other girl that was right behind the counter. it was a big size image too. x] (i saw it when i watched the super trio show, when they announced the awards and stuff. )

theyhave numerous bloopers! lol. i noticed another one earlier on, but i didn't want to say it. at the scene where charlene ran up to gillian and they spun the camera so that we could see the view of both charlene and the guy. apparently the guy was right behind charlene, but when gillian took her and ran away, it seemed like the guy was standing at least 3 feet away, thus making them able to run past him.

i can't recall a time where gillian's voice wasn't sweet. wait... her voice was kinda deep in "u-man" but not really.... lol. actually i can't remember... that movie's sitting on my cd rack collecting dust right now. lol.

I'm not sure of the exact meaning...but she mentioned that someone said she's very 'ah sa lee', because she likes the opposite colours red and green. So maybe 'ah sa lee' is used to describe how a person like the opposite things..(like summer & winter) (?)


I thought her voice sounded different in "U-man" too, as you said it was kind of deep...not like the usual sweet voice of hers. But that probably has something to do with her character in that movie. (her character was kind of cocky towards others. eg. Anthony and Sam) So maybe she thought if she deepen her voice it'll suit the role more? But then again...those who have sweet & girly voices can be cocky too...

ooh, i just caught twins' MV of 'i really want to love him'!
(yes, i know i'm so super slow. )
but i'm confused at why everyone translated the MV as charlene liking the guy who likes gillian who ditched the guy for friendship with charlene.

this is going to be really long and confusing,
but i just thought i should share my view cause the other versions of the story had really confused me before i had caught the MV.

after watching the MC,
i realised that the guy actually liked both charlene and gillian,
and of course, vice versa.
but it just didn't feel right as shown in the way gillian looked arkward when charlene was pouring the milk (like being stuck in her decisions),
and also when charlene looked uncomfortable when the guy shared her icecream (like being confused at how the guy can like both her and gillian at the same time).
but i think although the guy liked charlene (the dog finding scene showed that charlene and him were destinated, the 'connection' between them.),
but i felt that he did like gillian more,
which was why there was the holding hands scene and the wiping of the bread crumb.

at the end, the part where they were doing the jump rope,
charlene realised that this would go now where,
and just a constant cycle again and again (as shown by the jumping rope, with each of the twins holding one end, and the guy in the middle, just jumping while the rope went round and round).
and the screaming part showed that she was totally fustrated with their confusing triangle relationship (not crying part cause that doesn't show frustration, but instead portraying of the sadness of being so stuck in their three's-a-crowd relationship).
as shown by the four pieces of bread, when after each other one took their share of a triangle, there was left with one single triangle.

in the end, after charlene screamed her fustration,
she ran to gillian and stood in front of her in a way to portray the confrontation of their triangle relationship.
by 'confrontation', i don't mean it in a i-want-you-beat-you-up way,
but in a what-are-we-going-to-do and a we-can't-continue-on-like-this-forever manner.
charlene by running passed the guy to gillian, showed that she chose friendship with gillian.
and gillian who took charlene's hand and ran away together showed that she too chose friendship over love.
(cue for AWWWWs! )
and charlene was smiling first as they run, which showed that she was really glad that gillian was willing to choose her over the guy despite the guy liking gillian more.
and gillian too was happy with her decision of choosing friendship.

the ending where they both start giggling and laughing together,
shows that they're thinking back at themselves in the triangle relationship,
and realised how silly they've been to put their friendship at risk just because of one guy.
the last part where charlene hugged gillian,
showed that if she was in gillian's shoes where a guy prefered her over gillian,
she would too make the same choice as what gillian did,
and choose their friendship over the guy.

i totally enjoyed the MV!
the slides were simple,
yet the meaning behind it was so deep.
both twins looked beautiful and the guy was pretty cute!
and most importantly,
their strong bond of friendship was just so super awesome!

Gillian looks gorgeous...I agree she did lose some weight.....She looks the same size as charlene but she has a better figure than charlene....charlene's just bony and no figure..if she'd gain more weight charlene would even better than she is now....
Gillian is just great like that....she look really beautiful in the swim wear...If I look as great as Gillian I would want to show off my body but then again that's not how Gillian is....she's more of a beauty within but is pretty inside and out.....that's hot!!! the only thing that's missing in the picture of just Gillian is......Kenny...just add him and then the picture would be complete....It would look even hotter...They'd look HOT together!!!

I don't think it's really fair to compare their bodies from these pictures. Cause Gill's bathing suit is heck of a lot more flattering than char's (Gill almost alwyas gets the better suits IMO) and in ths shot where they are together, Gill's pose is more flattering too. But in Sa's solo shot, she looks so nice, she even has a little definition going on in her abs. And her legs, well I have always LOVED Sa's legs, but Gill's legs look very nice too now (and I think Gill has always had smaller ankles compared to Charlene. I noticed that awhile ago, even when Sa was thinner Gill has small ankle bones. now that she has lost some weight they look even smaller!)

So what do I think about their bodies? I think Gill has the better upper body. Char has always had a prominant collar bone, it's not her fault really but being as thin as she is just accentuates it. Their mid-section, I would say equal. Thye both have nice, flat tummies. As for the lower half, I still give that to Sa. Her legs are just so long and pretty But Gillie has great legs now too, a very nice shape, I bet they would both look killer in stilleto's

I hope I am not causing controversy! I just like both of their bodies! they both have their flaws IMO, but look at my sig to find out what I think of flaws But Gill seriously should stay at her current weight cause her body does look pretty dang awesome!

But hmm, I wonder why they didn't use the shots of Sa crying? Cause their was a picture posted at TC of her crying a lot for the MV, and how the crew "complained" that they didn't have to use the eye drops they brought. I think that would have been a lot more effective compared to the shot they used, which was still sad, but a little akward?

I did enjoy Gill's expression very much when Sa yelled at her. It was perfect for the moment. And it was so cute when Sa hugged Gill and Gill smiled! I mean the hug was a little, hmm, funny, but that just made it all the more cute

And I am enjoying their new ballad very MUCH! I don't know if I like this one better, or the MV's one (I forget the titles ) both of them sound so very niceeee. Gosh, the songs just keep getting better and better! I want it to be friday NOW!

The music video does look quite incomplete, they probably deleted some of Gillian's scenes considering that the second half was geared more towards Sa. The crying scene, that is also something the crew goofed up on because they showed two long scenes of Sa expressing her pain, they should have used some tears, would have been more convincing. And the scream? Hm, sorry but perceiving it from a non-Twins fan viewpoint, people would be wondering towards Gillian, "You sacrificed love for this, someone who just screamed and confronted you?" It doesn't matter how many times I re-watch that scene, Sa's scream came out as if she's been harboring so much hatred especially when she glared at Gillian with those eyes of anger, not frustration, but anger. And Gillian's saddened frightened reaction was even more heartbreaking.

I love the narration. Gillian has such a sweet voice in Mandarin.

Come on, who wore the better or more flattering swimming suit is subjective, just like beauty. At least Sa presented two bathing suits, not just one like Gillian. And about their bodies, it really comes down to opinions against opinions. I love Gillian's body, it looks healthy and slim without appearing too thin and I'm not going to dwell upon that issue any further.

Yeah, I can't stand to watch the full version of the music video as much now since the screen totally bothers me. Gillian's eyes in this music video were just too beautifully enchanting. Her emotions were completely conveyed through the sorrow that filled her eyes.

The song demonstrated a love triangle, which is A likes B likes C: Sa likes Guy likes Gillian. I don't think a guy liking both friends would be called a love triangle, it's more of a jerk lol.

Hm, I think that cliche is cheesy. If he really did fall for both Twins, he pretty much has a lot of room to spare in his heart. For all we know, he might be at the park looking for lost dogs just to crash girls. So that doesn't necessarily imply that just because he found Sa's dog meant they were destined for each other, wouldn't he be destined to have a lot of soul mates then?

I bet Sa would have felt differently about the cycle if he had faced her and not only Gillian. I personally thought Sa portrayed quite a nice painful expression watching the two love birds goof around during that jump rope scene. And I still believe that the guy wasn't a jerk, he only loved Gillian, Gillian returned that love while Sa was the outsider. The only misleading scene was the sharing ice cream part but other else than that, it was obvious that the guy loved and paid much more attention to Gillian. That ice cream scene simply could have been a friendship bond, not anything less nor more. The guy was pretty casual when he took a bite out of her ice cream cone. Sa was sad in that, what he believed to be a frienship act was actually making her melt for him even more. Sa expressed a painful reaction because he will only see her as a friend and nothing more, sharing an ice cream cone meant nothing romantic like it did for Sa. The guy was pretty sad when Gillian took Sa's hand and ran off. I don't think that would be the concluding response from a jerk. He sincerely loved Gillian. I just thought the scream was quite unnecessary. If Twins are attempting to protray a more mature image, they should know how to cope with frustration and loss much more than that. Have you guys ever watched those Korean/Taiwanese/HK dramas, you know how the female antagonist would yell or scream for not getting it her way, Sa reminded me of that. And especially when Gillian returned that scream with the most innocently saddened look, that was drama of their own.

Hm, I don't think Sa ran up to Gillian just to tell her, "What are we going to do now with this love affair" because Gillian simply had no idea unless some scenes of Gillian were really deleted out. But what could Sa have done; she couldn't confront the guy, he just made his decision of choosing Gillian so I guess, Sa had no other option but to run towards Gillian, letting her know that, "Look, I can't stand this any longer, I'm also in love with him too."

As for the laughter after Gillian's final decision of frienship, frankly, what else can they do, cry? Hm, I don't think Gillian ever risked their friendship, she simply didn't know that Sa seriously liked him until the scream, even then, Gillian was still baffled. Whoa, I totally have a different perception. Sa hugged Gillian first, realizing that it was silly to fight for a guy and that their friendship was more important, Gillian agreed and returned the hug. This type of situation is quite realistic and that is exactly what the song and music video wanted to portray. Love can interfere with friendship. No one is to blame but if all wants to end up happy, they each have to possess conscious and an open mind at all times because things will get cloudy and dirty. If you read the summary posted by Twins' official Mandarin Album distributor, this would most likely fall under their interpretation as well.

Ok, I'm not trying to convince anyone into believing my side of the story, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and interpretations. I just find this one much more in correspondence with the official summary Little_Purple_Bell posted up earlier.

Well, this is just how I see it. Because Gillian's swimsuit is designed to enhance her bust while Sa's does nothing to enhance, well, anything. I only mentioned the whole swimsuit thing because that is why I am not going to cast judgement on whose body is better, because their are so many factors. In some pictures, I think Gill's body looks better and vice versa. But when it comes down to it, they both have nice bodies.

I was just giving my opinion, 'cause well, that's how I see things I wasn't trying to state it as a fact or anything and I am sorry if it came out that way. I don't always use the best word choice, especially if I am in a hurry. Which I am at the moment lol. So. I don't know what else to say except for I didn't mean it in any other way other than expressing my humble opinion...

Hm, really? I think opposite, which is nothing new lol. If Sa wore a similar swimming suit design as Gillian, it will expose how how flat Sa is, not in a negative way of course. I guess, they didn't want to use push-ups if Sa was to wear a two-piece like Gillian because it would probably look fake. Both Gillian and Sa already wore a similar design at the recent beach trip with Boy'z and Mani, Gillian still managed to look fuller than Sa, actually just full in general for thin Asian women, even without the camera tricks or angles. I can see why Gillian presented that type of swimming suit rather than Sa because Gillian is fuller, enough to have a nice cleavage, which compliments the bathing suit; it's a piece of cloth over bare skin, not much enhancement can be done so Gillian's chest area is really what you see. Whereas Sa, her chest suits a different type of swimming suit, which actually enhances Sa's bust if you observe closely; honestly, I don't think Sa is that full if you were to compare the natural photos of the boat trip with these new ones here. Sa's chest area definitely looks more appealing in these photos so the bathing suit obviously suits her in this photoshoot. The picture to the left, you can tell that the top wasn't fully filled, thus making the two-piece look quite large and empty on Sa. The picture to the right, the bathing suit actually forms and makes Sa's chest area quite nice. So I don't think it was some type of unfair thing that each Twin wore a different swimming suit; it really came down to their body type as well.



Anyways, I guess I'm beginning to feel too anxious about Gillian's solo. If Gillian's solo does happen to be a fast song, I don't have much hope left considering that all of the ballads that have been released on this album are wonderfully refreshing and nice whereas all of the fast songs have been total failures or can't even measure up, in my perception that is. The ballads seem to be the only songs that are supporting this album so far. I'm pretty sure Sa's ballad will be as great, yet even better since it is a special solo. Let's just hope that perhaps the writers/producers saved the best fast song for last for Gillian or let's pray that it's a ballad afterall. *prays*

Hmm, I never really thought of it that way. Well, I have always heard that triangle tops enhance the bust best, so I just assumed, and I guess wrongly. However, I think that if Sa wore a triangle top with slight padding and a slight push up it would give the illusion of cleavage. The beach day pic, it seems like Sa's suit is a little loose on her. But I guess, if there's nothing to push up... maybe it's just that I don't like those bathing suits at all. If they were going to do a bandaeu top they should have made the top less big, more thin, because I think it looks akward on Sa that big.

Buanyway I am done discussing this because it's rather irrelvant. I still think that Sa and Gill's bodies are equally nice and I would kill to look like either of them

As for Gill's solo, I am sure it will be great. I don't know, I have liked the fast songs too, they are cute. But I hope Gill sings in her normal voice if she does do a fast song cause it kind of caught me off guard in the main themesong. It was just so different, I like her normal sweet voice better It was nice to hear a change once in awhile though! Just took some getting used too So far, i have prefered the ballads, but...my favorite Tiwns song (High Temperature Yoga!) is a fast song, and Gill sounded great in that song, if the song is anything like that I will loooooooooooooooooovvvvvvveeeeeeeee her solo!

Hmm...just listened to the new Mandarin album. Not great....there's "Hover Bird," "One Time Not Twice," and "Samba." Yep, the same "Samba" that was in the original Samba album. The other 5 are songs we already heard, "Transformation Party," "Around the World with 80 Dollars," "I Really Want to Love Him," "You are the Bravest," and the song they sang in the Ice Red Tea commercial. The last two songs, track 5 and 9 are the solos. They're not really fast nor are they really slow. I don't really know how to describe it.

Well, let's just say, Twins represent a cute and pure image, it would come out quite disappointing if Twins had to wear push-ups/pads just to appear fuller in the chest area; they're role models, they personally want to present a natural image. Sa already looks nice without the extras so cheer up. Both of their bodies are nice. Alexa, you know, you are pretty hot looking too lol. Twins might have competition if you were to join the ET industry lol.

You're kidding right? High Temperature Yoga is also one of my favorite Twins' fast song but unfortunately, they never perform it live.

It's not in the matter of guessing. Just because triangle tops make this model's bust appear fuller, doesn't mean it'll work for Sa as well. I'm pretty sure the crew made both Twins try out all sorts of swimming suits and the official photos we see are actually the best suited ones. Plus, this is an advertisement. Having both Twins wear the same swimming suit would not promote much variety of their business so of course, each Twin had to advertise a different swim wear. Again, Sa is pretty confident about her natural body without the illusion of a cleavage, by stating that, it just pretty much says that Sa needs some fake pads/push-ups to look nice, which isn't true. If Sa is already confident enough to wear a two-piece without the tricks, I think as fans, we should all be satisfied as well.

Anyways, I didn't quote your explanation of the music video because it was a bit long. Well, like I said earlier, your scenario is also well thought out too but in the official summary and news articles, it specifically stated that both Twins fell in love with the same guy but the guy only loved Gillian and Sa couldn't help but be tormented on the side. I think the producers of the music video pretty much know the details more than us.

The jump rope scene: The guy only faced Gillian and was way more closer to Gillian than Sa. The jump rope scene only reiterated how the guy was the only problem breaking both Twins apart. Your swing analogy probably won't capture the overall picture, the jump rope forms a visible triangle with both Gillian and the guy staring at each other while Sa is only glancing at the guy's back, that is enough to convey how the love triangle forms.
The ice cream scene: Sa didn't show a tint of smile because she knew that he didn't love her the way she loved him. He was so close yet so far away from her, a bitter-sweet moment. As for being more comfortable with Sa than Gillian, I think that portrays reality. Realisitically, in a beginning relationship, the one you like or love, you're never yourself because you're always trying to impress or feel butterfiles in your tummy when you're around them, which is the situation the guy feels around Gillian. For someone you view as a friend, you can be more like yourself because whichever way they think of you, it doesn't really impact your emotions much in that aspect. It's like, you could do embarrassing things with your friends, both girls/guys, but you could never really act like a goof-ball in front of that special someone. It's only when two persons have been with each other for a while, they become comfortable, which Gillian and the guy would eventually experience if they were to proceed on with their relationship. Well, that's the general overview.

So I have nothing else to say about this. I think I'm just repeating myself lol. But if you read the other summaries describing the setting or the circumstances both Twins are placed, you might get a clearer perception.

Both solos are quite disappointing actually or perhaps, I haven't gotten used to this type of singing yet from Twins? Hm, my jaw is still open, quite speechlees!

But on the positives, Gillian's sweet voice is so clear in Mandarin and I love the musical week portion in English, Gillian's English is right on target like how we Californians speak it. I guess, the solo is decent; the melody takes a few times to digest properly but other else than that, it's nice I suppose but this song surely remains true to the Youthful Theme.

On the negatives, Gillian's voice was so limited in this song. I feel like slapping the producer/composer whoever this person is, in charge of distributing the solos. Hopefully, Gillian's Cantonese solo won't be as disappointing since she'll be personally participating in the making.

Sa's solo does have the more catchy melody though; I'm not surprised either lol.

I agree with you on this. I wasn't quite happy with the outcome because it seemed it was rush and there were incomplete scenes. "I Really Want To Love Him" is a love triangle between two best friend. I don't think he fell for two friends. It more of him falling for Gillian than Charlene. Although he met them both at the same time--with him finding their dog and bringing it back to them because of the Lost Dog sign. Yet, he's attracted to Gillian more but charlene like him too. The attraction between Gillian and the guy is more than the attraction between charlene. If he fell for the two of them then it would be like he's two timing them but I don't think he is and he wouldn't have grab hold of Gillian's hand and hold it.
The whole scenerio with charlene and the guy sharing ice cream seems kinda off but I wouldn't call it attraction between them two...It's more of a one- sided than two. He was just being friendly. I mean if he liked charlene I don't think he would have done that. It would be a bit too much for him and charlene.

I thought they should have added some tears to charlene's part. I mean she's hurt and should be in tears. It was good--I like it but with the tears too that would have been better. Both of them did an excellent job at being in pain. Gillian was also incredible even though she didn't have much screen time showing her saddnes she still did great. Just watching her was heartbreaking enough. Her having to choose between the guy her heart's yearning for and the best friend she's grown to know for years and yet in the end friendship won and love was the ultimate sacrifice.
I love Gillian's expression when Charlene screamed out loud and went up to Gillian. It had nothing to do with "What should we do?" It's more like "I like him, too." Right when Charlene did that you can see it in Gillian's eyes how torn she is and the sacrifice she's gonna have to make. It probably hurted the guy too finding out that charlene liked him but he's in love with Gillian and knowing Gillian is gonna choose her friend over him. Aww, it's sad..

Just what I wanted to say but you did it first. Hurray!!! It's true if you like someone you wouldn't be doing that instead you would be little shy but if it's just friend you have the tendency of letting loose because there's no attraction there. I mean if the guy was attracted to charlene he wouldn't have just taken a bit off of her ice cream. He would be a bit shy. Like the part with Gillian. He seemed to hesitate whether to hold her hand or not but his attraction towards Gillian made him go for it. He wasn't about to let this opportunity pass him so he went for it. You're right nothing else to say because it's base on how you perceive the music video. Different people will have different input on it which ever fits best in your point of view.

Listening to Gillian's solo and I was surprised it wasn't really a fast song like you guys predicted. But it sounds really nice. Her voice is sooo sweet that you can't hear her in the beginning. I love her english! It's really cute and sweet! And the melody sounds nice but it's a bit to loud. And her mando is really clear! Its really funny how she said "Fry-day" lol. But I actually love it. Gillian always portrays a sad scene perfectly whether with tears or no tears. Even though the screentime wasn't equally distributed, I loved how this music video in particular concentrated on Gillian's beautiful eyes! Gillian's eyes contain so much sorrow in them, it's painful just glancing at her gentle face.

I felt sorry for the guy too. I wish he had a Twin lol then everyone can be happy.

The guy was very proper and such a gentleman towards Gillian, which resembles real life. If a guy really loves you, he'll carry out respect and that is exactly what he did towards Gillian.

The funny thing is, we were cheering for a ballad but the lyrics mislead us into thinking that the solo was a fast song BUT the solo ended up being right smacked in the middle between a ballad and fast song LOL! I really don't know if we should be delighted that it's not a fast song or disappointed because it's not a ballad. After listening to the solo a few times now, it's beginning to win me over. Perhaps Gillian just sounds so soothing and cute, I can't resist but fall in love with whichever song she sings. I do hope as well that there will be a solo music video for Gillian's solo but I guess, I won't overflow with hope since this album hasn't been the most promising nor pleasant project for Gillian except for the ballads. I love the ballads!

Wow...I listened to most of the songs in the album and the only one I truely like is "I Really Love Him". Got to love JJ Lin! Even though "You are the Bravest" is another ballad (which I usually prefer) for some reason, I didn't like it much. It just doesn't stand out in a way.

I didn't really like the solos also but Charlene's had better/more catchy melody. I actually thought I would have liked Gillian's solo when I heard the music started. It sounded mysterious and unique until it was ruined with that "bob-ba" tune and it just didn't sound as good anymore Gillian's song sounded too much along the lines of "Around the World With 80 Dollars" and "Transformation Party". A little too youth and happy-pixie I like Gillian saying the english but it just made it all the more "kiddish" for the song. Can't believe this kind of genre is what they called to compliment Gillian's abilities

Does anyone think that Gillian adjusted her voice a little to fit the context and music of this song or just me I love it when Gillian does that because it just shows how much she understands the song to adjust her voice to compliment the song. She voice here sounds more youthful and childish just like how the melody sounds to me.

Hm, I love both ballads, both are so sad with different meanings. I love how both Twins express such a powerful stretch in both ballads but because Sa's voice is a bit fuzzy, in You're the Bravest, Sa's vocals seemed to have struggled a bit more when reaching the high notes (li kai) whereas Gillian was quite clear and exact.

Haha. No way! I felt the same exact thing towards Gillian's solo. The music that began the song was decent up until they added the "bob-ba", that killed the song but as I kept on listening to it, it grew on me eventually lol. I do agree. The English is cute but combine the English words to the melody and the solo sounds like some Child karaoke song. Gillian was too youthful when she shouted "Sunday." I can't believe it either that the crew in charge of Twins' Mandarin Album believed Gillian's vocals were only up to par to Children songs. Seriously, Gillian's solo should have been something more unique and more of a breakthrough than this. If Twins' solos are going to end up this way, rather want both of them to continue singing together lol. Perhaps fire those producers/crew members for this disappointing album.

Yes, Gillian's voice is versatile. Gillian possesses a sweet voice but not this sweet; she had to adjust it accordingly to the song's requirement making Gillian's sweet voice even sweeter, which is really kiddish. But Gillian sang the high notes like they weren't even high, that's the only part I like about this song so far.

I'm listening to the clearer version of I Really Want to Love Him and now, I hear Sa's vibratos but for some reason they aren't as visible as Gillian's. I love Gillian's strong voice in this song, it's so touching and emotional. As for You're the Bravest, my heart almost broke listening to Gillian's sorrowful voice. Seems like Gillian has so much to say yet can't and every emotion that surges through her heart is expressed through this song. I think this song hits home for Gillian since there were rumors about Gillian having a boyfriend who had to immigrate to the US right? So Gillian may have experienced a similar situation making this song extra special and her emotions super clear. My eyes are getting teary.

Nonetheless, this album is a definite buy for the wonderul high quality photos and of course, the ballads alongside Gillian's solo. I'm heading out to Los Angeles this weekend, I'll definitely look forward to owning a copy when I return home.

I really like "You Are The Bravest" too! Out of this whole album, I only really like two songs, one is "You Are The Bravest" and the other one is "I Really Want To Love Him". Is it me, or does anyone else hears vibratos for Charlene in "You Are The Bravest"? Well yeah, I really like "You Are The Bravest" because I finally get to hear a different voice for Charlene, she usually sings deeply, but this one she's singing higher and softer, much more different than usual. I couldn't even tell if it was Charlene or Gillian when I first listened to it!

The rest on the songs on the album is okay. I don't really like or hate Gillian's solo. And I guess this is what Gillian meant when she said that their solos were going to be "Ching Kwai", not really a ballad and not really a fast song. I also don't like how they stuck "Samba" in the cd. They released it once already, why release it again? I mean, I can see it for the mandarin version of "One Time No Twice" and "Hover Bird" being released, but "Samba" was released already. I think they should have put in the "Goodbye Youth" song that Little Purple Bell has been mentioning, I heard the song and its kind of the same as "Transformation Party" and "Around the World With 80 Dollars", but at least its a new song.

I can't wait to see the HK version! Shouldn't it be released on the 2nd also? Because I really want to hear the "Black Box" song. =D I want to hear them singing the swearing part

I also really like Gillian's rap in "Love Invincible", I personally really liked their whole Girl Power album, I like those style of songs and they sang them really well.

And the thiing about Gillian's voice sounding different, she does that to like every song, if you look at all the albums that Twins release, you would see her voice varying around from a high really sweet voice, to a low gentle voice. Like what Bluehearts said, I think that Gillian does change her voice around to fit the mood and theme of the song.

I just listened to "You are the Bravest" again and I'm starting to like it more. So weird... I think I was still stuck in the "I Really Want to Love Him" song phase I remember listening to it for like a few times and switched back to "I Really Want to Love Him" For some reason, as I listen to this song though, the beginning melody sounded somewhat familiar, like to another song....but that's only for the music before Charlene started off the song.

Is "I Really Want to Love Him" the only song that have vibratos? I guess the song originally required Twins to sing with vibratos so we can actually hear Twins Gillian vibratos. I agree that Gillian's vibratos are more audible then Charlene's but I give both of them for letting us see what they are capable of

The song I like the most is "I Really Want to Love Him." "You are the Bravest" is a good song too, except some notes that Charlene couldn't reach that bother me. Gil's solo just grows on you. Okay, I feel like writing up a bit of a review on this album right now since we've been through all this anticipation about it, and it's finally out now. I actually can't wait until tomorrow since 'Black Box' is coming out tomorrow. In this review, I'll be leaving out the re-singings.

1. 變身派對 - Transformation Party
Personally, I think the biggest turn-off of this song is the melody; it turned out quite weird. For instance, by listening to the opening music, doesn't it sound kind of country? Or cowboyish? The lyrics were written decently because it actually does do a good job of describing the eager moods of students who just want dismissal to come so badly, so they can be out having some fun at last. As for the performances, Gillian's voice doesn't portray too much enthusiasm during her solo verses, and Charlene had more or less given her usual performance of her previous songs, but I'd say Charlene sounded slightly better than Gillian in this one. The mixing of the two voices didn't sound too natural either, and it sounded a bit rushed during the chorus. Overall, this isn't a song I'd recommend from this album; the singers didn't do an especially good job in here, which I don't really blame on them because I'd say that the composing had a certain influence on this.

2. 八十塊環遊世界 - Around The World With Eighty Dollars
In this song, both members of Twins sounded much more enthusiastic than in 'Transformation Party'. The melody was also more catchy than the previous song. It's a melody that does give off lots of energy and youthfulness, which does suit the theme of the album a lot. Now, the downside of this is the lyrics. The lyrics are a bit messy in a way. It's definitely not an encouraging song for those who are in school right now with the kinds of phrases that are placed into the song. This song was more or less geared towards Charlene's voice more, but I would say I'm impressed of Gillian's performance of the verse of climax (Hey Yeah我抓不牢 Oh Hey Yeah我往下掉 Hey Yeah怎樣才好 Oh Hey Yeah夢醒得早). This was the one place in the song of where the song was switched over to being geared towards Gillian's voice more. Because of that, it is mainly Gillian's voice we hear during that voice, and knowing that Gillian does need improvements on her enthusiasm in fast songs, I think she made an improvement there. It's a song that I'd say is better than 'Transformation Party', but it's not one of my highly recommended songs either.

3. 我很想愛他 - I Really Want To Love Him
As for this song, I'm sure we've all commented a lot on it, so I'll just do a brief one here. 'I Really Want To Love Him' is a project that contains both a good melody and good lyrics. It's a good project to begin with, and the best part to it is to hear that Twins have made lots of improvements in their singing of ballads and emotions. This is a song where we can empathize as listeners. A great thing to hear is the vibratos. Gillian managed to make some small yet audible vibratos; it can be heard that Charlene made attempts of vibratos as well, but it wasn't quite so audible, perhaps it's because of her slightly fuzzy voice. I especially liked the part of when Charlene sang '免得感情變的複雜' during the end of the song because she added loads of emotions in the line by using the nearly cracking voice tone, letting us all sense the pain of her character (In the song, not the MV.). Gillian seems to have been aware of her weakness of letting the notes drop too quickly, so she has kept them up longer in this song; she has also adopted the technique of giving more strength into the verses while singing to add to emotions. This song is one of my recommendations because it consists of high quality through every aspect of the song. Twins have improved a lot through this song, and especially Gillian.

4. 流金搖擺 - Flowing Gold Swing Swangs
I think this is a really good fast song, the best fast song on this album actually. The opening was quite catchy because it was like a warm up going slowly from a softer tune into the main melody. When the first verse, sang by Gillian, came up, it practically just wakes you up, as if giving the message, 'Hey! Listen up!'. This song gives an energetic feeling without making it too childish or weird. I would like to comment that Gillian grasped this song quite well, especially with her high notes. She sang this song with a high tune, and it didn't sound like it was any kind of laborious work at all. Gillian's high notes in this song really wakes you up, so Charlene's performance didn't stand out quite as much. The production crew seemed to have gone with Gillian's portrayal of the song for the overall production, for the song was mainly towards Gillian's voice, and more background vocals were added in during Charlene's solo verses to keep the high tone going since Charlene didn't sing in a high tone, but rather just her standard tones. Both gave superb enthusiasm once again!

5. 今天星期幾 - Which Day Is It Today? (Gillian Solo)
The beginning tune of the song was great, but it was really ruined by the humming of the background singers. This seems to be a characteristic of this composer; he seems to always want some kind of noise as part of the melody, whether it be hums or just bizarre noises. This solo of Gillian's is another one of those songs that sound average at the first, yet it gets more and more addicting as you listen to it more. Gillian has always known how to choose her tones while singing carefully, and this time is no exception. Having the song be youthful and carefree, Gillian has taken up a tone that's more sweet and high than usual. It was a good preparation on her part. This song would've been more acceptable if the news about the solos being assigned according to ability, for I am sure that Gillian's ability of singing exceeds this point. The song isn't too challenging in general, but Gillian did raise the notes higher as a part of her own style. Though stating that this song isn't too challenging, there are still positive sides of Gillian performing it. It has multiple areas that allows Gillian to work on her note extensions, which is a weakness of hers. The melody and lyrics are both very sweet, cute, and different from the usual topics in songs. A break up doesn't necessarily have to be sad, does it? Rather than dwelling on a relationship that's over, why not be more swift of moving on? I would prefer that Gillian didn't use such a tone when calling out 'Sunday!', for it did make it sound a bit childish. But may I comment that Gillian has a quite good pronouciation with her english?

7. 妳最勇敢 - You Are The Bravest
Before anything, I would like to recognize Charlene for using a different tone for her singing to suit the song. She started off the song quite well with her new gentle tone with bits of attempts for higher notes. It gave a soothing sound with a listener's mood being set down to a mild state. Gillian came in carrying on nicely with different kind of gentle tone; during the second half of her solo verse, she started lifting up her notes with a few stretches and heartbreaking tones. With ballads, improvements are more visible and obvious. During this ballad, I think Twins have once again put up a great performance alongside with 'I Really Want To Love Him'. This song isn't as catchy as 'I Really Want To Love Him', yet the improvements are just as good. I'm very proud that Charlene adapted a new singing tone while Gillian is grasping her high notes so well in this song. This song is overall just a very simple description of a romance, yet it is something that we can empathize with easily.

9. 一個人看電影 - Watching A Movie Alone (Charlene Solo)
From first impression, I thought this song has a more catchy tune than Gillian's solo. I somehow feel that this song sounds a little similar to 'American Pie' with the tune. The same with Gillian's solo, Charlene's solo isn't exactly a ballad nor a fast song, more like smacked in the middle. Even though the lyrics make it seem like it's about a girl who's still dwelling on a relationship sadly, the melody really does switch everything around in a song. The character of the song still can't put the relationship down and behind, but the melody just makes it all turn around and not even sad anymore. As touching as reading the lyrics are, the final product does need the melody to correspond. Once again, Charlene has tried to keep her voice milder for her solo; it's not as mild as in 'You Are The Bravest', but there is a slight difference with her voice from her usual songs. Keep it up, Charlene! For some reason, I see many similarities of Charlene's solo with other people's projects. I see that the tune of the song somewhat resembles 'American Pie', but the overall project which includes the lyrics, melody in general, and Charlene's singing style in this song seems to have a similarity with Stephy Tang's style in singing.

The song's...... I don't know how to describe it. One thing is there's no profanity in the song. There was probably some kind of mistake in the lyrics. They actually sang 'That chick' instead of 'That b!tch', but I must say that's one big mistake there.

I haven't listened to it yet since it's still loading, but if they changed it to 'that chick', then why did they take the song off of the taiwanese version? Unless they censor songs that get played on the radio like what they do with the songs in the U.S. and make 2 versions, one censored, one not?

It's loading slowly, but so far how much I've heard, it seems like a rock-ish type of song... very different compared to Twins usual songs.

i'm sorry because maybe you're not dicussing about this right now but i want to express about the bias treatment gillian is getting. i totally agree with you guys.i was so angry and worried. but on the other hand, i somehow felt comforted when my mum states that although gillian's roles are less and limited compared to charlene's,they are more versatile roles instead of charlene's normal bubbly role.this puts my mind at ease for the mean time. but i start to get really heated up when charlene is now being offered roles which are kinda similar to gillian's successful roles such as in 49 days and BOK. java script:emoticon(':unsure:', 'smid_25')

and about the restrictions on gillian's onscreen kissing, i don't think that it restricts her from being offered any good roles, right? Maybe it's just me but somehow i feel that gillian herself isn't really that comfortable when kissing (although she might have stated that she had really wanted to do an onscreen kiss) maybe a little restriction is good for gillian because i find her more "respectable/valuable"java script:emoticon(':wasntme', 'smid_27')(i don't know what to say) rather than like other actresses who openly kiss in their movies java script:emoticon('<_<', 'smid_2')(i don't want to mention any names) anyway i respect gillian a lot!

1. I concur. The song is a horrible clash of wanna-be-pop-rock with country music. This obviously was not a fast song that suited Gillian's voice well to begin off with.
2. Gillian's voice can carry out fast songs successfully but these extremely youthful songs are not her cup of tea. Gillian best suits much more developed and advanced fast songs like Jordan's and Joey's at the 2006 Concert.
3. Oh, I loved this true description, "I especially liked the part of when Charlene sang '免得感情變的複雜' during the end of the song because she added loads of emotions in the line by using the nearly cracking voice tone, letting us all sense the pain of her character." This is how Sa usually projects out her emotions, through this method. I'm glad that even though this technique is quite visible in projecting out emotions, Gillian felt confident enough in her own style, not to repeat it. When Sa approached the ending song with this powerful line, I was like That was quite amazing, I'm not sure if Gillian will grasp the emotions as well but when Gillian presented her ending chorus solo, it was just as powerful and profound but through a different deliverance. Both Twins contributed differently to this song. Sa's voice may seem stronger while Gillian's is much more gentle and sweet because they're portraying their characters; Gillian is the more passive one with a clear conscious thus choosing friendship in the end while Sa is the one who is harboring both anger and pain inside so she needs to sing in a stronger tone. Nevertheless, both were great, this song is the best song from the entire album.
4. This jolly song for some reason did suit Gillian's voice and happens to be the best fast song of this album too. I agree. The extra support from the choir really helped Sa's verses appear higher in notes so I guess the crew must have detected Sa's weakness in high notes as well. Gillian sounds so cute and delightful in this song perhaps because this song is much more regular than the pervious two, so weird?
5. He seems to always want some kind of noise as part of the melody, whether it be hums or just bizarre noises. One word: Hilarious! As you really begin to listen to the song, Gillian's voice metamorphosizes. When I first listened to No Tears In Moscow, Gillian's voice was so sweet, I felt but as the song progressed and I repeated the song a few times, Gillian's voice began to transform into quite a deep and emotional portrayal, it still remains one of the best songs on my list. Gillian's current solo is similar. Gillian's voice has enough charm to sustain the audience whether it be a bad or great song. Gillian's voice is like a diamond. When you listen to it once or twice, both the song and Gillian's voice is still in rock form but as you observe closer, listening to it more, it will soon change into a diamond, given the right amount of time. This song pretty much falls into that category. I like it despite certain distractions. But I still believe the crew failed to measure Gillian's talent. This is nowhere close.

9. I can see why they gave Sa this solo. Sa loves to sing in the nearly cracking voice tone which this song mostly consists of. I found this song weird as well because the melody and the lyrics didn't intertwine quite decently but it has a nice melody.

Black box. I am again left speechless. I think it's nice that Twins are trying to sing a new genre of songs but the majority of fast songs they have explored with didn't compliment their voices all too well especially this song. The beginning rock music goes on for too long, it sounds like I'm mowing my lawn. Both of Twins' voices have no area to adjust nor improve on. You have to listen carefully too because Sa somehow loses the fuzziness in this song so both of their voices sound alike. I probably won't care which version I purchase because I don't care for this song in particular lol. I didn't even wait for the so called profanity, I just turned it off. I don't like this song.

It's a pet peeve of mine lol. I fixed your icons. Thanks for understanding the visible circumstances Gillian has been in ever since she entered the ET industry. Some Twins fans deny it in hopes of keeping both Twins together at the expense of Gillian but I guess that's fine too.

At times, I feel like quitting. Nothing has gotten better for Gillian throughout these past few years. I just want to stop visiting this forum, this thread and cut all ties to Twins so whatever happens to Gillian, I won't know; therefore, won't have to feel so sorry for her unfair treatment and wasted opportunities/potential. But everytime I'm about to just leave everything behind in regards to Gillian, I can't and why should I? Gillian needs all the support out there; she has done nothing wrong. Everyone is always leaving her behind, running away, or ignoring certain issues, that's why Gillian is still where she's at. If I choose to back out on her too, that would be horrible. I know, I'm just one fan right? That probably won't make a dent in her fanbase anyways but how many out there are truly sincere towards Gillian and not just a phase of Twins. Once Twins disband, will those same Twins fans still stand by her side? I don't know. Perhaps I'm taking this too seriously but who doesn't? I guess listening to Gillian sing in I Really Want to Love Him and You're the Bravest is getting me quite emotional at the moment.

Anyways, this is how I feel towards Gillian, I posted up at TC's thread if you have one day to spend with Twins.

I don't know when or if the piece of news is still confirmed because concerts could be easily cancelled at anytime plus it seems like US is going to be their last stop, a wrap up of their World tour so it might take a while until Twins reach here, the US considering their busy schedules.

Which state do you live in? I live in California. If Twins are still going to stop by in the US, most likely, the cities would be: NYC, Atlantic City, and Las Vegas. Los Angeles and San Francisco used to be hot spots but not anymore. There are a lot more Korean concerts held in LA recently plus California tends to tax or charge each concert too much so it would be better if Twins held their concerts out of California like Las Vegas financially. But I'm not sure if Twins will be performing one night only or many nights since concerts elsewhere are a different situation than the HK Coliseum.

I'm speculating, the reason why Twins are holding a World Tour is because with their second Mandarin Album released, they now have both Cantonese and Mandarin fans/audience. Just Cantonese fans alone worldwide aren't enough to fill in the seats if Twins were to invest in a World Tour but like S.H.E., Twins have been successful at sales and popularity, enough to perform worldwide. If this Mandarin Album is a huge hit like the previous one and the World Tour is also as successful as well, EEG may decide to keep both Twins together afterall.

Twins have already performed in Australia and Europe if I remember correctly? US will be their biggest challenge. S.H.E. did pretty well last time, I'm not sure about Twins.

I think track 4 is one of Gillian's best fast songs because as you've said, it is one of more 'normal' recent fast songs that Twins have nowadays. Gillian's performance in track 4 was great; she gave off a high and delightful tune during the song. Background vocals were definitely used for Charlene during track 4, and even during track 9, her solo. I believe background vocals were used during the chorus verses to make her voice sound higher since her solo needed that tune, but Charlene's voice is originally deep. I can't help but say that the melody and the lyrics of Charlene's solo are better off apart; it's like saying that the melody would be better with lyrics that portray a more 'free' message while the lyrics should be with a more soothing tune to suit the message of the lyrics. Despite that during first impressions, Charlene's solo had a more catchy tune, but Gillian's solo somehow makes you want to listen to it again even though it's not as superior melody-wise. I wonder if the credit lies with Gillian's voice, or is the song designed to be one of those addicting songs after a few times of listening? Nevertheless, Gillian's voice really does grow and stick. Her voice just seems to be able to stand out among various songs, except she doesn't really have a good grasp on the youthful songs. The grasp on youthful songs isn't too important though because is she really going to focus entirely on any more youthful songs after this? Most likely not, though it would be nice to add to her versatility if she made more improvements there. Charlene's voice is more unperturbed with the tone that she used in the solo (Which is a tone that comes out from the top of the throat(?), I don't know if I'm describing it very well. ) Because of this, it seems slightly plain. I'm not insulting Charlene in any way; I thought she did well in this song, especially with using a new tone, and the overall production of this song was good as well. Her voice in this song just slightly sounded plain.


I'm still very speechless for this song. I just can't find any words to describe it thoroughly. Their voices seem to be very rigid in this song; it's like Twins just ramble on with their verses with a tight and rackety tone. The song ends fast, but I can't find a moment that I enjoyed in this song. Even though I heard there was a lot of anticipation on this song because of the composer, but I don't find this very enjoyable.


The EEG Group performance sounded very messy when they all sang together. I guess we can tell that all lot of fix-ups were done during the process to make them all synchronize, but it all fell apart during the live performance.

Even though, Twins are more successful than 2R, at least 2R has earned more respect of being real singers than Twins in a shorter amount of time period. As for the online voting, I'm happy for both Twins that they got their names on the list but would the results had been any different if the majority of Gillian's recent films weren't banned from Mainland or if Gillian was actually part of a highly promoted film with big stars as the cast? Those were the breakthrough films that Gillian gained the most recognition from but unfortunately, weren't exposed in Mainland. Other else than films, I don't see how or what other projects Gillian could have been fresh on fans' minds except for the Trainee Cupid Album released a year ago and Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain, which hasn't been released yet.

I thought Sa sounded nice and better in the ballads but not different though. Perhaps due to Sa's fuzziness characteristic of her vocals, her voice seems flat to me but that's just me though.

I have learned not to anticipate much on this album in particular, so far I've only been disappointed. First, the I Really Want to Love Him MV, Gillian's solo, and now Black Box. I'm not even hoping for a solo music video of Gillian now. If they didn't even permit Gillian to have her own solo scenes to shine in the past few music videos, they're definitely not going to invest in a music video for her solo. Hopefully, they prove me wrong.

The EEG performance was painful to the ear. They just didn't synchronize all too well. The individual parts were bearable but watching a bunch of EEG artists onstage singing a fast song just moving their legs back and forth staring at each other with no coordination, it just overall turned out funny.

Finally, my Yesasia order has arrived! Yay! So I'm off to watching 49 Days. Can't wait to see the pee part.
