I do agree with you that we shouldn't compare/separate them because they are a team afterall, but it's quite impossible for both Char and Gill to make people like them equally.
By reading those last sentences in your post I'm positive that you're a Charlene fan....because your main point is to tell those in here that she's just as good as Gillian...and that you think she's not only cute but pretty too.

Hengdian. Earlier a prayer ceremony and press conference was held.
Attending cast member included Stephen Fung Tak Lun, Gillian Chung Yun
Tung, Cheung Sai, Wong Yat Fei, Boy'z member Steven Cheung Chi Hung and
Mainland actor Kau Lap Yi. Over 50 members of Mainland and Hong Kong
media covered the event.
Fung Tak Lun has been working on the film for more than a week.
Due to the hot temperature he has slimmed down a lot. Because everyday
the shoot goes on for 17 hours he has not had the time for entertainment
except for basketball, video games and going online. In the film he has
a daughter. The reporters asked the child actor to kiss Fung Tak Lun. At
first she was reluctant but after learning that she would be in the
papers when she did, she immediately kissed him.
Wong Yat Fei years ago was rumored to be at odds with Stephen
Chow Sing Chi after working together on SHAOLIN SOCCER. He honestly said
that Sing Jai used to often yell loudly at people on the set. He too has
suffered Sing Jai's wrath, but they absolutely are not at odds. Now
through the crew he learned that Sing Jai is no longer as stubborn as he

Steven this time took over the role for Patrick Tang Kin Won. He
expressed that the role was very important because he was the matchmaker

his friends. Cheung Sai at first has been not too used to her first
film. She recalled that in one scene she had to make three different
expressions with her eyes alone. Luckily she was able to.
In the film Ah Gil in order to save Fung Tak Lun fell and lost
consciousness. Thus she had very few action scenes. However in one
scene she still had to take a beating from Raymond Wong Ho Yin. She has
already asked him to watch his hand and believed that he would.

Twins, Isabella Leung, Kenny and Boy’z last night attended a charity conference (愛心滿東華慈善晚會) as the ‘kindness’ ambassadors. On the night they danced with young children. Isabella also went on stage to sing a fast song, revealing her bra strap.

Gillian, who had just come back to Hong Kong from Shanghai, said that she saw a ghost in the hotel. Gillian says, “My assistant was in the toilet and I could no say anything. All I could do was look and think please don’t do anything to me! My assistant says that I’m probably tired and scaring myself.” Charlene, who had the cold on the night, was wearing a mask. This is what I wrote in Twins Community regarding Gillian's acting abilities and what people have used to criticize her. Please try to help clarify this misunderstanding with those dumb anti Gillian people.

I've been surfing numerous forums glancing from praises to negative feedback on Gillian's acting abilities. I understand that not everyone is entitled to enjoy or vote Gillian as best actress, but gosh some comments I've read are so rude beyond bearable and some immature remarks aren't even related to her singing/acting abilities. Of course, different audiences and individuals have different preferences and different perceptions regarding a person's convincing acting talents. Just because someone believes that Andy Lau is a wonderful actor since he has been in this industry for years and has won a basket full of awards appreciating his talents but not all agree.

One of the main so called logical reasons people highlight as to why Gillian is soooo horrible at acting is her shortage of films. The Anti-Gillian group always uses the idea that because Charlene has more films than Gillian then it automatically indicates that directors are interested in Charlene rather than her. Some may also argue that from watching her most recent movies she has not at all improved.

Well, to clarify as to why Gillian doesn't have as many films as Charlene since the two of them are always being compared (no matter what they cannot escape this competition the media creates) is because like Gillian stated before both of them are heading different directions in the acting realm. It's really not up to Twins whether to accept or deny a role/director it mainly depends on their agency EEG. EEG has a tight hold on Gillian in terms of movies. She hasn't even had her first onscreen kiss yet for goodness sakes and she's almost 25 years old!! But as for Charlene, it seems like she has more of a free lance relationship in which she can act in any type of film that is suitable since she doesn't have to worry about kissing scenes, bed scenes, or serious scenes. Gillian either portrays a very innocent girl, a very sorrowful person, or a kungfu advocate is because that is the image EEG has labeled her in the movie industry not a bubbly dubbly type character in contrast, a naive pure girl. The majority of the movies released out today aren't as conservative anymore. Kissing scenes are so common but to Gillian they're not. So it's not because Gillian cannot act, her innocent image is the barrier. Whether it's in singing or acting, both Twins have to keep their balance. Gillian as the extremely introverted and mature one while Charlene is the cute and enegetic one. I mean who knows, why if more directors have requested Gillian to take part in their movies more than Charlene but because the themes didn't match, EEG has denied them all. What we see are only the movies that are actually produced not all the scripts that have been sent to Gillian to review so it wouldn't make sense to use that dumb logic to judge Gillian's acting abilities.

If you believe that Gillian's acting abilities have not at all improved then man, you're blindly believing and it's not because Gillian fans push it to be but Gillian in fact has improved whether anti-Gillians wish to believe or not.

That's basically what I can ramble about this topic. It is long. But if you're going to comment, no offense but this has nothing to do with Charlene or what not, it's about how ignorant people misperceive Gillian's acting abilities based on what they so assumed to know, their own facts and I may not know everything either but I'm just offering some insights for those who think this way.

Have you guys ever noticed that the pictures Mani takes with Twins....she's always leaning on SA showing a close knit relationship while Mani rarely ever speaks about Gillian....That just soooo shows that since Mani decides most of their projects because she is their manager....she would definitely want the better for SA since she's closer to SA.

SA's movies are soo immature. Papa Loves You was just another ridiculous movie like her so famous movie My Wife is 18.....after hearing lots of good responses I watched My Wife is 18 with Ekin but OMG....this movie had NO STORYLINE WHATSOEVER...LIKE when did she fall in love with him when she was sooo all over the other guy. And man, who WOULD fall for such an immature and irresponsible person like that over Bernice?? Eh. Oh WELL.

The reason I think EEG promote Sa more is because she has such an obvious bubbly and crazy personality, whereas Gillian is more reserved. Whenever you see Sa you immediately like her but with Gillian it takes time to get used to her because she is not as 'out' there.
