This show was recent, it was aired yesterday I think. Twins were guests on Alan's and Xiao S's show, I think it is Entertainment 100%, I dont exactly know the name of it. Both Twins were suppose to sing a song with Alan, Gillian sang this song, and Charlene sang another song, but for the one that Alan sang with Charlene, he used a 'Stephen Chow' voice, so it wasnt exactly a serious singing, more of a messing around singing, while Charlene sang seriously.

Do you know of any programs that can cut rm/rmvb files? That way, I can cut the file and share it with you guys, because yeah, I dont like converting, last time when I converted the Beijing concert to get the part where Twins sang 'Qing Fei De Yi', it took 9 hours to convert. So yeah, dont really wanna do that again.

This was from a recent magazine, but the way Gillian's hair looks is kind of wierd, it seems like: 1. They either gelled the top part of her hair and let the rest be normal, or 2. They did it like how you guys said the Japanese themesong's music video was like, the top part of her hair is real, and then the rest is in a bun, and the hair that's showing is fake or something. I'm really hoping that its the first one and that they dont do her hair like that anymore because it doesnt really look too nice. This is Alan and Gillian's first time collaborating and it already sounds terrific, way better synchronized than Twins can ever harmonize, no offense. It's like Alan and Gillian balance each other out. Oooo, I love this duet. They should so consider singing more songs for fun. Alan was so into the song, he was cheering Gillian on; I guess even he was surprised how well Gillian sings live.

I'm impressed...I love this verison, of course along with the original verison!! I wished they actually sang the whole song too...that would have been great to listen to since even this little part is so soothing to the ear! Gillian's attempt to deepen her voice was really smooth and just fits right along with the song...so natural!... while Rainie's attempt wasn't as successful...I felt like it made her voice sound more childish and some parts when they sang together, Alan overshadowed her voice...

The deepening part just reveals how versatile and flexible Gillian's voice can become when under certain circumstances. I'm glad Gillian had fun with this duet and still managed to sound so beautifully wonderful in collaboration with Alan.

Oh, I wish everyone can hear this duet and promote Gillian into producing a serious similar duet with Alan. Their voices just naturally blend in so perfectly. I have to say, Alan's voice suits Gillian's voice the most at the moment or perhaps I just love this duet.

Rainie seemed like her vocals were about to crack, her voice couldn't fall too deep and this duet wasn't her type of genre in the first place.

It was a little hard to listen for Rainie's voice in the Alan+Rainie version; the Alan+Xiao S's version was really good, but the Alan+Gillian version just gave a complete different vibe. The two versions are good in their own ways.

They might've done whatever they did to make her resemble her character's hair. At least they didn't go off dying Charlene's hair orange. Yeah, the one thing that Gillian+Alan's duet is in a way better than Xiao S+Alan's version is how both voices are heard. In the Xiao S+Alan version, Alan's voice was slightly more audible than Xiao S's. Gillian and Alan should find a time to collaborate seriously in their own personal duet.

In the show, Xiao S asked Twins if they would like to cooperate with Alan, and Twins said that they would, so maybe in the future, there might be a cooperation between them.

And for the duet, I think that if they sang more into the song, or the full song, I think that Gillian would do even better. To me, Gillian sounded a bit weak at the beginning, but was getting stronger as the song continued on, so if she got to sing the whole song with Alan, Im sure that Gillian would have sang even better than that short part that she got to sing.

Charlene's part in the duet was Cantonese, but Alan's part was a mix of Cantonese, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. The song was supposed to be funny since it's a song that Stephen Chow and Sandra Ng sang, so that's why Alan didn't sound serious; whereas, Alan's song with Gillian was an actual song, so he sounded serious there. Thanks for sharing the videos! It was pretty cool that Alan agreed that his performance with Gillian was very compatible, and Xiao S said that they were very cute together.

Gillian was a bit nervous in the beginning but Gillian eventually came out of her shell and did an awesome job; she totally blew everyone away. I know, it would be wonderful if Alan invited Gillian to his personal concert, their voices are quite compatible. Thanks for Sa's mp3 but this wasn't really a duet duet in that, Alan and Sa only joined at the last 3 seconds of the song. And when they joined, Sa's voice totally wiped out Alan's, it wasn't even balanced like the Alan and Gillian duet. Sa sounded nice though but a bit strained, her voice couldn't reach several notes; Alan was too funny.

You're right. Gillian was a bit shaky in the beginning. I mean, this is her very first public duet with a male (Not a Twins+male duet); she was pretty nervous but anxiety didn't stop her from singing so beautifully. I'm so proud of her.

I think Sa did sing higher than usual but not exactly strongly so her voice seemed to have cracked just a bit when elevating in those high notes. When Sa sang higher and stretched her verses, it was um a bit messy, instead of elevating in a narrow controlled way, it was wide and loud, not necessarily nice to the ears. Alan and Sa's voices didn't synchronize all that well, don't know why either. If Alan wasn't even a decent match for Sa, imagine Kenny. Perhaps this was just a bad song to do a duet. I think Sa sounds better with Gillian as Twins or just solo.

Yes, I bet she fascinated everyone watching live, as to even some of her fans believe that she can't sing, but she proved them wrong. Alan's and Gillian's voices were greatly mixed in with each others; he seems to be her best singing partner at the moment. Well, I don't know if it'll change after she sings with a few more people, but from the three guys that she's sang with alone without Charlene, Alan sounds the best with her.

Yeah, Gillian definitely balanced with Alan better than Charlene. Charlene sounded really strained as you've said and cracked in a few spots; it also sounded like she was a bit out of breath, but that's usually she breathes in other songs as well. Well, her second public duet with a male techniquely. She did a performance with Kenny two weeks ago, which is, may I mention, a performance that we haven't seen yet. No wait, actually this could've been her first one since we don't know when they filmed this; they could've filmed it earlier but aired it now. Anyway, it's one of her first times, but she did a great job; I wonder how she did on her own duet?

I really thought that Charlene and Alan would do an actual song, but this is just a comedic song that they did. Perhaps Charlene would've done better if it were an actual song, but then again, the audience also wouldn't take it that hardly that Charlene slipped up a bit in this song since it was comedic in general. Yeah, Alan has more of a solid voice than Kenny, and Charlene had nearly completely wiped him out, so how would Kenny stand a chance there? I think Charlene sounds the best as Twins with Gillian as well; her solo singing has gotten better since 2004, but I think she does better with Gillian as Twins.

What struck me the most was: this was a live unpracticed performance; one of Gillian's best. Both Gillian and Alan strengthens each other's voices, bringing out the best from both. Alan sounds great and best with Gillian thus so far as well. Both Xiao S and Rainie have unique voices as well, don't misunderstand, but they may not necessarily blend in too well with Alan's voice. Xiao S's voice is a bit too deep for Alan's and Rainie's is a bit too weak for this duet in particular. Gillian's voice is versatile enough to adapt into the deep notes and standard notes, Rainie had struggles with. I really have to say, Alan and Gillian would make a cute pair considering that their voices obviously match, perhaps their personalities would too.

Sa and Alan sounded weird together; I think even Xiao S felt that. When Sa and Alan were singing together, even though Sa sang the duet seriously, which it's supposed to be a funny song, Sa somehow lacked the emotions while Alan was more interested in entertaining the audience with laughs than the duet itself even though they were holding hands. But when Alan sang with Gillian, he was lost in that duet. You could tell that Alan was excited singing that particular song with Gillian and right when Gillian lost her fear and began singing with more confidence, making the duet stronger, Alan was surprised himself that they blended in so well. Alan and Gillian definitely didn't need to hold hands to join powers, their voices already outshined the rest.

Did each Twins choose a song for their duet or was it the Alan, the host? I'm still not sure about that.

I like Alan in that, he did everything to make Gillian feel at ease since Gillian is usually a shy person.

Yup, Sa has a habit of overcrowding the other person's voice, Gillian for one and now, Alan as well. In regards to Gillian, it's not that difficult to overpower Gillian's voice because Gillian is a female, her voice wouldn't project out as distinctly as Alan's but this, Sa totally did not share nor balanced out the joined verse with Alan, Alan's voice appeared to be a background support instead of a duet partner lol. Anyway, I thought that Sa would collaborate well with others as well but I believe Sa sounds more complete and best with Gillian.

I know. Like Little_Purple_Bell stated above, Alan and Gillian just transcends a completely different vibe; that's so hot! I still have this duet on repeat; oh how I wish Alan would consider inviting Gillian to one of his shows again or concerts and perform this song, allowing us to hear the full version of their collaboration. As the song progresses, a lot of English is used and some higher parts are introduced, I would love to hear Gillian take on those English phrases since Gillian is excellent at English and Gillian would have a chance at stabbing those high notes as well. Xiao S's voice was a bit too deep, Rainie's a bit too fragile, but Gillian's voice was just perfect. Like Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Alan was Goldilocks, Xiao S as Papa Bear, Rainie as Mama Bear, and Gillian as Baby Bear, Alan found the perfect just right porridge in Gillian's bowl, not too deep nor too high, just perfect, Gillian. I'm hoping for more too. We totally need to promote this duet.

I think they may have gone through the song a bit before the recording of the show since Alan said that he rehearsed his song with Charlene a couple of times before recording, but his part was harder to portray since he needed to sing in a comedic tone with Cantonese, Mandarin, and Taiwanese lyrics. It probably was a performance on short notice, like they might've found out about the songs they were singing when they got there, but I think Gillian and Charlene were probably allowed to rehearse their songs a couple times through to get familar before actually performing. Nevertheless, Gillian did a great job; she proved her voice of being versatile again. She's also found herself a great duet partner. Wouldn't it be great if Gillian got a chance to officially collaborate with Alan later on?

Yeah, I think Xiao S felt that Charlene and Alan's collaboration wasn't quite effective since she only commented that Alan made a good effect of being comedic during the performance, but she actually stated that Gillian and Alan collaborated very well. I think during Charlene and Alan's song, Charlene should've either joined in with Alan's entertainment to the audience or should've sang completely seriously with the emotions. As Gillian and Alan got further into the song, they were both very much into it. Just imagine if they had the chance to collaborate on the whole song. The duet was well done on short notice, and the nice blend was an absolute bonus.

I don't know for sure, but it seems more likely for it to be the hosts who choose the songs. It'd be weird if Twins chose it themselves. It actually wouldn't make sense if they did. Why would Charlene choose a comedic song to sing instead of a serious song that she can develop and portray better in? It seems likely to be Alan, or the background crew of the show, who chose the songs since 'Love Expert' is Alan's song, but then Alan did say that he's never heard of the song he sang with Charlene. It seems likely for it to be the planners of the show who did the arrangements, etc.

Just do what you can; it can't possibly turn out that bad, seeing your previous projects. I'm rooting for you!

It was so weird of how the KG MV was the only thing that took so long while the other three MVs of Kenny's album were released in a snap after filming. Hope their live performance comes out soon!

I think it's a habit of Charlene's as well, trying to overpower her partner in singing. I guess it's not completely a problem between Twins; it happens with Charlene's other singing partners, but it's most obvious when she's with Gillian since Charlene sings with her the most and female voices are easier to crowd out than male voices. Charlene forces herself harder with Gillian as well; with Alan, she didn't give too big of an intention to it, but with Gillian, she gets intense.

Yeah, I understand that not everyone's voices synchronize well with each other's, but overcrowding the other person's voice is a whole different issue. The line where Alan and Charlene joined sounded really out of place. When dueting, the two people should at least be able to balance out their volume with each other even if they don't synchronize in the best way. Charlene's best partner is still Gillian; perhaps it's because Gillian and her voice is more tolerant with the overcrowding habits.

The English parts! I almost forgot about those! It'd be awesome if Gillian could sing a couple of English phrases!! This is the kind of song that Gillian should get into singing more. She can show off her English and try the high notes!! I hope Alan gives Gillian an invitation since I think he should want to collaborate with her again because they obviously synchronize well with each other.

While on Gillian's case, their song was supposed to be more serious, it's going to be hard to give an excuse if it turns out bad but luckily Gillian did a really good job and synchronized with Show so well (bonus) I especially love when she sang the first solo sentence..something like "give you one minute" (?)



We shouldn't forget about EEG though...There's more possibility if there is a duet, it would be Twins and not just Gillian and him...I don't think EEG would take a chance and let Gillian get more exposure than Charlene

I feel the same way of how people will be more lenient for any mess-ups during Charlene and Alan's performance because it's a song for joking around. Many probably don't really pay attention to how they sang anyway except that it was really funny, but people will take a look into how Gillian performed in hers because it was serious singing; Gillian would've gotten a serious bashing if she screwed up anything there, but she didn't disappoint us and even surprised us.

Yeah, I'd rather Alan have separate songs with Gillian and Charlene if he has to invite them both, instead of Twins singing with him together. If that happened, I wouldn't know if I'd be glad or sad. Glad that Alan and Gillian are able to collaborate again, but do we really want to hear another Charlene+Alan collaboration? For me, not really. But if it means Gillian gets a separate collaboration with Alan if Charlene gets one, then I'm in for it.

Is it just me, or is Charlene just practising Twins' recent songs instead of her singing in general? She sounds quite nice in the recent Twins performances of their recent Mandarin songs, but her singing falls apart during other songs, like her song with Alan. Twins also sang 'Starlight Amusement Park' after their duets with Alan, and Charlene sounded extremely shaky in there with very loud breathing, but she sounded fine in 'I Really Want To Love Him' during the end of the show.

Yeah, I'll like to hear another Gillian+Alan song!! But Charlene+Alan?? Then Charlene needs to learn how to lower her voice so you could her hear partner and not sounding like she's singing by herself with someone next to her maybe lip-sycing???? If Twins+Alan?? I think the AG will sound good, but then C voice will always be louder.

I think they Charlene is practicing Twins song recently because she changed her singing teacher. And isn't her singing teacher the same one as Gillian???? If it is maybe she teaches Charlene to lower her voice down, because if you use a high pitch cracking voice in mando, it would sound and then I'll go

I wonder if there's a reason why Gillian was to sing the more serious song while Charlene sang the comedic song...but I wouldn't complain because I love "Love Expert" with Show (or Alan? I'm confused which one is the right one. Sometimes people call him Alan, sometimes Show ) and Gillian...Beautiful produced

Just found out that the male lead of 'Let's steal together' is not going to be those 1983 twins afterall...it's going to be 田亮 (Tin Leong/Tian Liang) and apparently there'll be a love triangle between him and Twins...

His official English name is Alan Luo, but I don't know where Show came from. All I know is that he has the word 'Show' in the titles of all his released albums.

Hmm, should we be happy or sad? Tian Liang definitely looks better than the 1983 Twins, but he also has no acting experience. It's also a surprise that Twins will be going for the same guy for once. Now they're going to make it obvious of who's more main between the two females because there's a guy in the game; it is usually the one who ends up with the guy who is more main, and we all know which one of Twins that's going to be for this film. But there is that occasion when the one who steps out is felt for more. Or it's going to be the cliche of Twins where they choose their sisterly love over the guy, which is what they do for everything that involves a love triangle.

I did a little research on him ( ) if I got the right person...he is a athlete...? Doesn't seem really promising. I don't think he had any acting lession...

Well, this film surely have a lot of "surprises"....I guess it doesn't really have to be who ends together to see who's the main...it also could be who spends more time with the guy also any screentime? If that's the case, I hope Gillian's character is meaningful and have a big impact to the overall storyline because I think that's more important than screentime sometimes

I hope it's not the friendship ending again so predictable....I'm sure everyone gets the message

Last night, after thinking about Gillian's hair in those braids, I was thinking that it might go back into curls, because with braids, after a whole day with them, when you take them off, the hair becomes curly, and it seems like I was right. Aw, her hair is back in curls. As you hoped, I hope it's just the style she's keeping for the promotions of 'Around the World with 80 Dollars'. Hopefully, it'll straighten out as the promotions for the Mandarin album is ending soon. I think her hair is straight for the Cantonese album because I read some news about how Twins finished shooting for the cover of their next Cantonese album a few days ago, and Gillian's hair was straight a few days ago, I mean if it wasn't a wig. Hopefully she does have straight hair for the film and the Cantonese album.

I remember that photo; it was some time during the filming of HOF, wasn't it? I don't have it anymore either, but one has got to have seen Tian Liang before if you've watched the Olympics. He had been the champion of diving before, but last term of Olympics he got third because he messed up.

I just found it incredibly awesome how much chemistry and comfortable Alan and Gillian grew together by just a few practices; everyone knows that Gillian is initially a timid person due to respect so at times Gillian's considerate side inhibits her from performing her best but I didn't expect Alan out of everyone to bring out Gillian's strengths, Alan is someone Gillian hasn't really interacted with in comparison to Kenny and Sa but he was able to pull Gillian into the spotlight together with him. I mean, Alan and Rainie must have practiced 100 times more than Alan and Gillian YET the duet turned out so-so but Team Alan-Gillian is what I call meant to be. Gillian can synchronize well with others but unfortunately, when it comes to Twins, it's a sad reality check.

Hm, out of Twins, who sang their duet first? I've only watched a few sections of the show here and there. If Alan and Gillian sang their duet first, perhaps Sa heard how compatible they blended so Sa probably switched the duet from being originally funny to serious in order to achieve similar results whereas Alan who probably didn't care, just stuck to the original plans of performing a comedic song. Observe Xiao S in the background while Alan-Gillian are singing together, she was quite surprised and cheering them on.

Well, a pat on their backs for having good judgement. Hm, it would be great if Alan was the one interested in seriously collaborating with Gillian so he requested Gillian out of Twins to share his personal song with. And as for Sa's duet, Alan just pushed that responsibility towards the crew members to decide thus the weird unknown song.

Ironically, when Gillian sings with Sa as Twins, Gillian tends to weaken her voice so that both Twins can somehow synchronize in an orderly fashion but it doesn't seem to work. Clearly, when Gillian shares a duet with someone else like Kenny and Alan, her voice becomes quite strong, synchronizing so well in the duets. I say, Gillian shouldn't restrain herself in Twins songs because it's rubbing off a negative image on her like how fans claim that Gillian's voice is too soft to hear but then again, as Gillian begins singing normally, Sa somehow decides to increase her volume as well, not necessarily quality, making the entire show a messy battle. I guess towards Alan, Sa wasn't as intensive because he's just not Gillian.

Alan is an honest guy; hopefully, he can successfully request Gillian for a serious duet making it a rare, HK and Taiwanese collaboration. When Alan and Sa finally joined voices at the end of the audio clip, Alan immediately threw in his white towel and gave up; he must have figured that the real duet parts of the song wouldn't work anyway, as Alans voice decreased in volume and faded out, Sa still continued increasing her volume towards the very end.

Ah, Alan-Gillian are such a great pair. They definitely need to collaborate again. Some great singers like Joey and Hacken don't even blend in as well. It's so rare for two voices to be so compatible like this, their companies, agencies, whoever is in charge should really consider a serious project for both.

I agree. Perhaps Gillian's instructor has only been properly training Sa in the new Mandarin songs so Sa is still lost in which singing technique to use in those older songs and her first instinct is to resort back into loud singing instead of working on quality.

I have to say though, Twins' new Mandarin ballads are quite simple to follow along as well, um ok, one: I Really Want to Love Him which happens to be the one main song Twins have been performing endlessly during their promotions.

I already hate this film. Hm, let's see why. In a film that involves a love triangle, the main character would have to be the one with the most onscreen time. Obviously, that's Sa without a doubt. The male can fall in love with Gillian all he wishes but if Sa has more onscreen time to show her pain, development of her character, and the process of falling in love with someone she's forbidden to, Gillian will easily fade into the background of just that girl the guy loves but the main role will be Sa. Just like the music video, they completely concentrated the entire storyline on Sa's character, her pain, her misery, her battle. And Gillian just popped up at the end to conclude the love triangle. Wow, what a great film eh? Gillian can sacrifice her passionate love in exchange of her sisterly love towards Sa all she wants as well but if Gillian doesn't receive the proper onscreen time to develop her character's pain, struggles, and situation, the audience will never sympathize for Gillian. Hm, even if Gillian does end up with the guy but Sa's dominant onscreen time may actually even persuade the audience in hating Gillian and the guy for neglecting Sa's character and so selfish of their love etc. GR. I'm quite upset.

Oh, I love it. Produce more. I love the scenes you chose and the song flows beautifully along each scene. You're talented in this video production area too. Gillian can always use more and more videos at Youtube. Thanks so much for sharing.

I think Twins themselves chose the songs that they wanted to sing, not the producers/crew. And Gillian and Alan sang their song first, and then Charlene and Alan sang their song.

gillian and alan's singing were good but it's just seemed that gillian couldn't sing as fast as dee xu, the original singer i believe. but her voice could definitely pass as xiao s. i like her hair in those^ pics above, it looks pretty. ;]

Oh, it's Alan and Xiao S who are the original singers. Rainie just substituted in for Xiao S due to her maternity leave. Hm, I think Gillian was quite nervous in the beginning so she was just one beat away from the usual song but nonetheless, Gillian did great. Um, are you referring to Rainie Yang or Xiao S in regards to this song? I thought Gillian did a terrific portrayal of Xiao S's part in the duet, it was deep yet not exactly like Xiao S either, it was unique and different. Gillian does sound a bit like Xiao S. Perhaps because Gillian intentionally wanted to sing similarly, not to lose the original tone of the song? When Alan and Rainie sang together for that one event, I'm sorry to say, the duet turned out horrible.
